Alexis is an excellent stylist and colorist. I havent colored my hair in years and it was dull and starting to show more and more grey. She skillfully did full highlights and toned them to the perfect shade of blonde. Ive also been wearing my hair wavy/curly for a few years and have gotten tired of trying to fight the frizz. When I told her I wanted to go back to styling my hair straight, she used the products and techniques to get it perfectly smooth and taught me how to achieve the same results. Im no professional, but I am doing a decent job. For my first visit I wasnt quite ready to let go of the length. She respected that and blended the layers skillfully. At my next appointment I let her cut off some of the length and my hair has never looked healthier.

Worst haircut Ive ever gotten! There may be some other talented people that work there but the owner Tina would not take the time to look at how badly her mistakes were and would not refund my money which I feel she would have done had they truly cared about fixing the mistakes that were made.. as long as you dont need anything unique or out of the ordinary you may be safe sticking to this place

Needed color, cut & highlights. Called one Saturday morning & they were able to work me in that afternoon. Did a fantastic job. Everyone there is so sweet & friendly.

Completely unprofessional owner. Made excuses for stylist who buchered my hair by saying she was young and knew and it was a difficult cut. She also said her cuts were cheaper than other stylist there. When I asked why I wasnt given this information up front her excuse was she was not there for the consult. As the owner if she knew this, why wasnt I given this information as a new customer, and WHY did she set there gossiping with her personal friend/client about someone they knew getting caught lying about something? (Had I have realized then that she was the owner I would not have came back).I went from a 22 Vcut to hair up to my chin when curly and banges that I have to pin up ruining 7 years of growth and my hair was still uneven. The only thing done to compensate was 3 trial size bottles of shampoo with ac20$ gift certificate....and of course I Did not pay for my haircut. ( Though I did tip the lady who had to come even my hair out and fix it 35$ and was told one of the payments for the kids hair was transferred to her). After getting home and looking closer at the cuts she did to my kids the day before she had styled their hair to hide the fact she had messed up my sons parts and cut way to far into the crown of his head. My two daughters hair is also uneven after being washed and All cuts require more maintenance and product. I waited until I was calmer today 5 days later to call back and discuss this with her and ask to look at my kids cuts again also. She was very rude AGAIN and told me to get a lawyer, refusing to even look at their hair or do anything else to correct the situation. She didnt even offer the rest of my money back so that I could at the very least take them somewhere else to get it fixed. So after 45$, a 25$ tip, and a 35$ tip, my son and myself cant even wear our hair down and ALL of our hair requires more products and time. My hair is shorter now than it was 7 years ago when I started growing it (when my first daughter was born) and will take over 10 years to grow back. My Son has been growing his hair also for a certain style for over 2 years and because of the cut into the crown will have to start over as well. There is so much more I could say or add to this but I can not stress enough not to trust this business! Absolutely unprofessional all the way around. I posted the pictures on here......the ones of me were before the lady fixed it so its even shorter now but Im too embarrassed to post. I did put a few of my hair before also....

I have been coming here since I moved from out of state two years ago. They are always on time with my appointments and Tina always does my hair exactly how I ask. They’re very professional and friendly there and I just love the feel and look of the salon in general. I moved to Rome awhile back but I still make the trip out to Cartersville to get my hair done because the trip is worth it to me to get my hair done the way I like it. Would definitely recommend coming here if you’re looking for a new place to get your hair done.

Trusting this salon as the highest rated in Cartersville, I made my boyfriend an appointment. BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER. The lady who cut his hair buzzed his head and then still left straggle pieces that were 2+ inches long. For starters, he didn’t ask for a buzz cut or anything near that. If I could give them 0 stars I would.

Worst hair salon experience EVER!! So from the moment I sat in the chair I realized things were going to be bad. Tina did my hair and the whole time it was rude comments like she didn’t want to do my hair but yet took her 5 hours to do nothing but over process my hair. Only good part of being there was talking to Courtney. Thankfully I found someone better in town who doesn’t try up selling anything and who doesn’t trash talk everyone who walks in their salon and who actually knows how to color hair.

Soooo..I booked a cut and blow out. However I have curly hair and decided perhaps a few foils for highlights and just the cut and leave it curly (since its raining). I booked two slots to ensure there was enough time. I arrive a few minutes early. Tina walks over and starts asking me a bunch of questions about my color and states she wasnt so sure my hair would lift. So I tell her I am a hairstylist (30 years now actually) and Ive foiled it myself every year actually and it lifts to lighter highlights easily. I then get a lot of reasons why she is running behind and then she says she doesnt want to be here until 8pm. I then say just a cut is fine. She then send someone else over to start the cut. Im sorry, it does not take two people to cut hair. No hello, nothing friendly to say..just excuses and treated as if Im a nuisance. I had an appointment!! (2 slots!!). I knew better than to book the end of the day on a Saturday..but I didnt expect such an unfriendly welcome my first time to this place. There are a few other bad reviews about her being rude. Believe them!

I made the mistake of entering the salon. She charged me $20 over what she said the service would cost. I feel it was because I am black, since she referred to my hair as thick. The problem is that she did not tell me until after she finished my hair. I understand black peoples hair tends to take longer to dry, but not mine. I have fine, soft curly hair. She even said, If all of your friends hair is like yours, send them to my salon. Obviously, being professional with ALL customers is not a priority here. Btw...I did not expect to get a cheap service. I needed to know that prior to the service not after. I am accustomed to paying $65 - $85 per service. It is not what you charged it is how you went about it.

I recently just moved to Cartersville and was looking to find a permanent salon. The receptionist was very accommodating and let me know Tina would be doing my hair. I have thick hair but its relatively straight. I always let receptionists know this before hand, so they can delegate which stylist is needed. I really thought I lucked out, since the owner would be doing my hair. The atmosphere is relaxing and they have a cute clothing store connected. I showed Tina at least 3 pictures of the exact style I needed. I showed her 3 so she could see front, side and back of the haircut. I let her know I had too many layers and would like to get my hair mostly one length, an inverted bob. Tina is very likable as an owner. She originally cut my hair and I asked if she could take an inch off each side because it was a harsh slant. During the cut, 2 gentleman walked in and I believe one was to become a future stylist. Thats when things turned sideways. Tina seemed to be distracted and the 2 guys literally stood there waiting on her. I have 4 different lengths in my hair! My hair is thick and I have 4 different lengths of layers. I went to cosmetology school but would never dare to cut my own hair. However, I can pull my hair up to check the evenness and its pretty bad. I never write reviews but this time felt it necessary.Also, they could ease back on trying to up sale you, it would be less pressure on the clients, especially new ones. Im sure that I was just unlucky that day with all the distractions Tina faced. Hopefully, that new male stylist can lighten her load. Looks like my journey for a new salon will continue and I really hate that.

Amazing and personal customer service. They really work with you but are not afraid to get what the results your looking for. I highly recommend Justin. As someone who knows little about hair, I really needed a hair cut and color guy who was able to guide me 1 on 1 to get the results I wanted. When I moved to cartersville almost a year ago it put me almost a hour away from my hair stylist that I had been going to for years! I did major research on the salons in the area and found this one! I can’t even describe the level of anxiety I had the day of my appointment just because I had really bad grey routes and wanted my hair a certain way.... I told Tina the owner what I wanted she worked her magic and made me beautiful! I’ve been back now 4 times and will not go any where else! Everyone is very professional,very clean just a great salon!

“Locks Salon” wanted $90. At first, My wife sat in the chair the beautician prepared to color, then requested $200. We left. Get a quote before you begin, then confirm it. We got the same procedure $80 + $20 tip. 🤨

I only chose this place because there is not much else in the area. I scheduled a hair appointment and had to give a $35 deposit. This was for a wedding that I was in... (my appointment was with the owner, Tina) well, a month before the wedding- it was postponed. I called the salon to explain my situation & that Im already out over a couple hundred dollars due to this wedding. I had to call FOUR times. Each time I was told that she would call me back. Never did. She finally got on the line and said thats the reason they have the deposit and could care less about me or my explanation. Honey, if YOU as the owner are that in need of my $35- please take it and find another career!

Very great experience ! Tina the owner did my hair and made it look amazing. I got a balliage and deep conditioner treatment and a hair cut. I was very happy with the outcome. Very friendly staff. She took her time doing my hair and made it look great! I have had some bad hair memories from places I have gone in the past and happy to feel comfortable with how she does hair. Probably the best hairstyle I have ever gotten done. Its worth every penny!
