I have been using Cary Family Eye Care for the last year. I have had the opportunity to see both of the Dr. Barness and in all cases found them attentive, professional and patient with my questions. I would like to especially recognize Sara Gonzalez for professional customer service in conducting all of the screenings prior to my appointment. As a former US Air Force fighter pilot, I have had a lot of eye exams. Sara really stood out in my experience for her personable and informative style. She was interested in making you comfortable and giving you an understanding of the purpose of each test. I also had the opportunity to work with Brilynn. Like the rest of the staff, I found her to be very customer focused and very committed to the culture of customer satisfaction. Keep up the good work!

This place is amazing! I’ve gotten my eyes checked & my glasses from here for two years now .They have great customer service. I needed my glasses before the 4th of July and they called me after hours to pick them up. They go above and beyond for their customers here .

Dr. Dwight and Dr. Kelly are wonderful Doctors. Very thorough and friendly. After seeing Dr. Dwight I learned so much about the health of my eyes and how important it is to take care of them, with minor tweaks in my everyday living, as small as wearing polarized/ UV protection sunglasses to help protect my eyes from harmful blue rays. The optical floor had so many Amazing choices of frames to choose from I couldn’t leave with just one. The optical team help maximize my insurance and offered amazing deals to help get me the frames and lenses I needed to keep my eyes healthy and vision in tack. I’d recommend Cary Family Eye Care to any and EVERYONE. They are a wonderful go to practice that can assist with all your vision and eye health needs. They deserve beyond 5 stars if you ask me!

I had a very positive experience at this establishment. The staff was kind and Dr. Barnes was very friendly. He explained everything to me about my exam as we went along. The staff sanitized everything in front of me before they used the equipment as well. I did not have to wait long for my appointment and the optical shop employee offered to put new nose guards on my glasses without me even asking. I will definitely be returning to this location for my future eye needs.

New to the area and had a great first time experience. Loved the doctor, the technician and their fabulous selection of frames. A year later called to order new lenses as mine had been scratched only to find out replacements were going to be free - you have to love that kind of service and support!

Me and my daughter visited Dr Kelley as new patients. She was pleasent and answered all the questions with patience. She told me about a condition I have that was there but previous doctors did not warn me about. If you want healthy eye sight this is the place to go. I am glad to have found this place and Dr Barnes.

We had such a great first time experience. The entire staff including Dr Kelly were fantastic. Whitney, was exceptionally amazing as my daughters glasses were broken and she made sure we got the glasses as fast as she could so she wouldn’t go too long without glasses. I highly recommend Dr. Dwight Barnes for ortho-k (myopia control contacts). My 14-year-old son has a high degree of myopia plus astigmatism which makes vision correction via ortho-k more challenging than typical. Dr. Barnes has worked carefully with my son, and has achieved excellent results! Ortho-k has worked wonderfully for my child in that it has made him feel more confident while participating in outdoor sports such as mountain biking. All of the staff at Cary Family Eye Care are professional and kind. Also, I care deeply about cleanliness—even before I ever heard of COVID. It makes me so happy to observe the staff at Cary Family Eye Care routinely disinfecting everything my son comes in contact with. Weve had a wonderful experience.

I believe in praise and recognition when it is due. I cannot recommend highly enough Cary Family Eye Center on Green Level at Cary Park. Dr Dwight and Kelly Kelly MacDonnell Barnes run an amazing business. Kelly diagnosed an eye disease that I did not know I had. Dwight found a mole deep in my husbands eye that even the retinal surgeon failed to see. Then today I went to have my eye classes repaired, prepared to leave and pick up next week. NO NO NO not this place....I texted when I got there and they came out to my car, got my glasses and in 5 minutes brought them back perfectly repaired.Amazing customer service. Amazing professionalism. Amazing help when needed.

My husband and I went in for routine eye exams, followed by glasses and contact fittings as well as ordering frames and lenses. The optometrists and techs answered all of our questions, and conducted thorough exams. The office and Optical staff were exceptional. They went out of their way to make sure that we received a particular rebate, going so far as to call the companys rep directly. Kristen was especially patient with us during our in-store ordering process (thanks, Kristen!) and we plan on returning to Cary Family Eye Care in the future.

I was worried about seeing any medical professionals during this pandemic, but after reviewing their website I felt very confident that I would have no worries and scheduled my long overdue check up. They delivered! On-time appointment start and my tech was wonderful at every stage of the exam. She clearly explained both the covid safety measures she was performing as well as the steps of each eye exam. Lastly, I really appreciated the way opticals was more interested in my eyecare needs versus just selling a pair of glasses.

Being a healthcare professional for 36 years, I would like to share my experience at Cary Family Eye Care.My visit was after the office reopened from the COVID 19 closure.I felt the practice did extremely well in meeting the reopening guidance.Their implementation of the infection control practices and measures needed to assure the patients and staff were protected was carried out extremely well while maintaining efficiency and a positive patient experience.They used multiple methods of communication to assure timeliness and accuracy of the intake process.Staff were professional, caring, and informative. It is obvious that a great emphasis is placed on patient experience.The woman ( sorry, I cant remember your name) who assisted me with choosing my new frames was well versed in the product line. She was not pushy and gave me great feedback regarding frames with and without nose guards and also discussed the impact that the weight of the frames has on how comfortable they may feel.Dr. Dwight and Dr. Kelly are so very knowledgeable and professional.Dr. Dwight has a great sense of humor...as he asked me if I had planned to have my clothes, mask and nail polish match. ( all purple)I recommend highly recommend this practice to those who want to have an exceptional patient experience along with professional eye care.

This practice is so warm and welcoming. They treated my teenage son who had a previous traumatic eye injury and were dramatically able to increase his ability to see with his prescription. This was after he had been to a prominent ophthalmologist in the area. My son could not believe how much more he was able to see. Thank you so much Cary Family Eye Care!

I recently had an appointment at Cary Family Eye Care and my experience was awesome. From the time I arrived there, the staff was very professional and friendly. They make you feel comfortable and at home. We spoke as if weve known each other for years. Once I was taken to the back, their professionalism continued. They explained their procedures very thoroughly which I loved. Their variety of glasses were also unbelievable. Since my appointment was set up through the VA hospital, I told the VA about my experience and they should refer more veterans there. If youre looking for an eye care place to go, I strongly recommend this place. They truly live up to their name, Cary Family Eye Care. From the time you walk through the door youre greeted and treated as family.

Very efficient before and after an appointment. I’m pretty sure I have never sat in the waiting room more than 5-7 minutes. Both physicians are excellent and their specialist:admin staff work in synch. with one another. Other key thing that will keep me coming back is that I’m always given a thorough results of my examination and next steps.

First appointment was amazing! I needed to bring my 10 year old daughter and we were treated like a king and a princess. I noticed that all of the other patients were treated the same. That is so rare - 2 thumbs up for service above and beyond expectations. It helps that the Dr was amazing, very thorough and detailed. 🤓🤓🤓🤓

My daughter (age 8) had very positive experience with Dr.Kelly Barnes at Cary Family Eye Care. She felt anxious before the appointment but was put at ease immediately upon walking in. Dr.Kelly was kind, kid-friendly and thorough. Highly recommend!

Went for eye exam and ended up needing contacts. I was not a fan of the doctor, she became irritated with me when she was trying to put contacts in my eye (for the first time) and I was unintentional flinching and movie back (Sorry I have never had anyone try to put anything in my eye! ). She even said, “I don’t have three hands to keep your head still.” I found that extremely rude. Thankfully, Rhonda saved the day and was very kind and helpful. I will go back for convenience but not to that doctor.

I have shopped for sunglasses lenses at six to seven different offices. This was the only office with competitive pricing and lead time and an incredible staff to boot. They are very friendly, detailed and timely. Thanks Cary Family Eye Care.

Update: no complaints here, the doc reached back out to me after I left a poor review initially and apologized for the mix up and said he didnt realize just how much his brand-name steroid drops were costing me and is now working to provide a resolution in an attempt to get my HSA account credited and correction my prescription to change them to generic drops which were covered.I can tell this provider takes patient satisfaction very seriously and that really does go a long way.

Excellent experience here for my contact lens fitting. There is no more than 5-7 mins wait. I was in and out in 30mins with complete satisfaction. Dr Dwight Barnes is great. Chelsea @ front office was very professional and did fantastic job ordering my lenses. If you would like to order contact lenses, this is the best place. Kristen answered all my questions on email very promptly.

Just started going to this practice and I couldnt be happier. Have had three appointments already and couldnt be more impressed with their professionalism and (perhaps more importantly!) the lack of a wait time. Dr. Barnes (Kelly) is very helpful and patient in answering my questions (I tend to ask a lot) and they are very flexible with scheduling. Very friendly staff and I plan on me and my kids eye care here for years to come! If I could do 10 stars I would!

If there was a no star rating I would have given it.My son and I were shopping for a frame and looking around. I stopped by this place to browse. The front desk staff, the greeters, asked me to fill out some sort of a visitors list. I am not sure why, but I proceeded to fill out this basic Waiting List form as a courtesy - no big deal. However, just about when I started to write, the front desk staff ambushed me and presented another full-page form and insisted that I fill it out as well. When I mentioned that I am only looking around and that I am not seeing any specialist, their reply was that I cant look around unless I fill out the form. A rude, inexperienced, front desk operator, and a terrible customer interaction. I just left scratching my head.

Ive been with them since they opened. Cant get any better than this great service. I wouldnt change it up for any other eye doctor. I have my whole family in their care for past 7 years!

Our family loved our time here. We had a 2 year old who needed an eye exam, and everyone at this office made it a stress-free appointment for her. We left the office due to an out-of-state move.

Update ! ...So I havent been to his office since May. But the end of the year is here and my FSA credit card is heavy and I must use it before Jan. 2019 or my tax deferred dollars go into someone elses pockets. So I show up out of the blue, no appointment to order my Duette contacts. I take 2 maybe 3 steps through the door and the ladies behind the desk say Hello AND call me by my first name like I JUST left !!! Dudes! It has been MONTHS! They dont do that at my Endodontists office! And you know how much a root canal costs !!!My point ? This is a NICE, WARM, FRIENDLY establishment ! Go here! But dont be rude to them please? They really care !!DONT GO TO EYE CARE ASSOCIATES !!!!They just want your hard earned money/insurance. Instead, get the family feeling and warmth this doctor will extend to you all ! On top of that, you will also get richly competent advice. The man takes his time with you to educate you and address your concerns. His prices ARE more realistic than Eye Care Associates! $200 dollars less difference for the fitting of my hybrid Duette contact lenses. AND less for the lenses as well. Me ? Yes, I am an idiot! I should have been his patient 2 years ago! I would have saved over $400. I am a grouchy, condescending, facetious, mercurial spirit from New York City. The 5 boroughs dear! NOT upstate! So when I say go see this doctor, its because I know a diamond when I see one! He is a gentleman to be trusted! He has definitively earned my trust!

Very disappointed!! I had an appointment with Dr. Kelly. The front desk staff was nice but the lady that delivered my glasses was very rude, she literally threw my glasses in front of me! I didnt like doctors behavior either. Bottom line: if English is not your first language dont go there! apparently they dont like customers from other countries!

Another attempt today at service to repair a scratch on my glass proof of bad service, was turned away for service.Tried multiple times with different prescription glasses, almost every time needed to get back for re do, lenses and frames.
