I visited a couple weeks ago with no intentions of buying as my project is in South Carolina. So, I didnt expect the sales staff to pay me much attention after telling them this. But, Joseph Hilferty ended up spending a couple hours with me and answering all of my questions and making very pointed and useful recommendations on why to choose one brand over another. I am very grateful for the wealth of information he shared and I was much more educated when I walked into Wolf and Miele showrooms having spent several hours with Joseph. Of course I cannot speak for their sales or delivery process, but Joseph was the best I have come across so far.

I recently did a kitchen remodel and purchased my appliances from ADU in York, PA. My salesperson, Jon Hutton, did a fantastic job helping me find what I was looking for. Prices were very similar to the big box store and they were great in terms of storing and delivery to time it with the project. The range was delayed and they were very good at staying in touch with me on when to expect it.

1.5 stars on Yelp for ADU Chantilly! The high ratings on Google cannot be true. Read the Yelp reviews!This is a fantastic place to work with if you have too much peace in your life and need extra irritation. I can honestly say this is the worst company I have ever dealt with. We remodeled our entire house during COVID (from roof to HVAC & everything in between), and by far the worst part of the whole experience was dealing with ADU. Their sales people add no value. We had to do all the research on appliances ourselves, and we werent looking for anything extraordinary. Their sales people do not follow up, they lie about delivery dates, they do not follow up on their promises, they do not seek solutions, etc. Our first appliance arrived damaged, and we were told we could take it as is (they would call a repair person) or wait another 3+ months for a replacement (after already waiting 2 months). They offered no additional warranty on the damaged part. We then waited over 5 months, with empty promises, for a refrigerator and dishwasher & finally cancelled the order. We had our fridge from Costco 3 days after ordering it. Unbelievable! And we didnt have to pay a delivery fee, unlike ADU. Through this whole experience, I only ever heard back from the manager when our kitchen contractor (who USED to send them a lot of business) reached out to him. I just had a refrigerator and dishwasher installed on a very tight timeline and Cynthia was a star to make it happen. I know she ran into obstacles along the way but she made it seamless for me. This is some of the best service and communication I’ve encountered in my many years of engaging a contractor.

Two of six items arrived damaged or broken or both. My contractor suspects that they are damaged returns by prior customers. It’s been several weeks and I am still waiting for replacements or repairs. In fact, a replacement GE range was supposed to have arrived over an hour ago as I write this - no show, no call. A third is several weeks late because it is on back order. I only know this because I reached out to them to find out where it is. No communication initiated by them. They had the best prices for the products but now I understand why. I can’t recommend this outfit to others. Should have paid a little more for same products at Costco.Update 18 Aug 2020Tim from ADU QA called me to reconcile issues after I posted this review, after which I also noticed a broken part in my new refrigerator. He placed an order for a replacement, followed up with GE on the missed delivery, and provided a status on the back ordered item. He called me several additional times to provide status updates.As of this writing, two issues are resolved (delivery and install of range and dishwasher) and two issues remain open (receipt of a replacement part for fridgeand replacement of damaged exhaust hood.) Expectations are for these to be resolved in the next week or two. There were additional minor hiccups by the GE delivery service, but not ADU’s fault.Bottom line — If your appliances arrive intact, all is great. If not, be prepared to wait for weeks and weeks to receive a working appliance. This is probably the case for any distributor. For each appliance with an issue, the process they follow is: schedule repair. If repair needs a part, wait for part, then reattempt repair. If repair fails, provide documented evidence of need for replacement. Wait for approval. Wait for replacement to be shipped. Schedule delivery. Schedule installation.Adding two stars for Tim’s help and communication.

Changing my review as time has passed and I realize how well these appliances fit our home. We love our appliances, especially the Thermador stove and dishwasher. Thank you ADU and Mr. Hilferty for working with us and being responsive when there was a snag. I would definitely go back and be more patient.

Cynthia was amazing during my kitchen remodel (in the middle of COVID) - she was knowledgable, knew exactly what I needed and went above and beyond to help me get everything on-time. Highly recommend!

We went there to get advice on combination microwave / convection ovens (nothing big or exciting). Even though it was obvious we were not going to buy anything while there, the sales person Richard was super helpful and answered all our questions, looked up products, and printed specs for us. He even advised us to look up the same products on other sites to check for lower pricing. Really impressive customer service. If we ever decide to do a major kitchen remodel this will be the first place we visit.

Beautiful showroom, but the customer service is awful. We went there today looking for a gas range and neither of the employees acknowledge our presence. When we walked in, both guys were at their desks—one was with a customer while the other was alone—and they looked up, but didnt even say hello. We walked around the show room for twenty minutes (by which time the guy working with the other customer had finished) and they never came to ask if we needed help or what we were looking for. One guy even walked passed us on his way to the back room and completely ignored us. Before we left, we lingered in the front, flipping through the catalogs, to give them one last chance and they were nowhere to be found.

They may seem like they know their appliances but they do not follow through with their sales. They assure you that the appliances are in stock and available, only to find out that it is not when you want them delivered. I know that things get backordered during renovation etc... however they did not notify me. I found out when I inquired about delivery of my appliances. They do not call you back, their manager was also rude. I would never use them again and hope that no one ever has the same experience.
