Recently purchased a 2020 Cadillac XT6 for my Wife from Baker Cadillac. Jeremy made the sales process seamless, and my Wife loves the car. The bigger problem is the warranty.The stitching on the steering wheel has begun to unwind, and no one is standing behind it.After the dealer inspected it the mentioned they have seen the problem before and the entire steering wheel needs to be replaced ($700 repair). The dealership said they wonβt authorize the repair but to contact Cadillac directly and they should be able to help. Contacted Cadillac and they opened a case, then called me in a Week to say that it is normal ware and tare and they wonβt repair. Unbelievable! We just bought a $50k plus car and they all but tell us to go away... This will be our first and last Cadillac

Called in for service, they do not have call back if they are busy. It dont look like they value their customers. Or they are making so much money they dont have the time for the luxury car buyers. When you pay for high luxury cars you should be treated better.

I seem to find more issues as the days progress. Originally before I bought the vehicle I had taken it to get an inspection done and they found a bubble in the right rear tire which would need replacing, the calipers were sticking which would need replacing, and an unknown source of vibration. After bringing these issues up only an additional 200 dollars was taken off (negotiated sticker price TTT as well) the total price after being told that your dealership is putting no more money into the vehicle and itβs either the 200 or the vehicle is being shipped off. Now that I have the vehicle I have also figured out that I do not have any heat in the vehicle which could be a number of issues and additionally the right rear tire had a bent rim causing the vibrations. Just getting the calipers and rim repair will be a little over 1,395. Now approaching my second payment I have no A/C and again could be any number of issues that are normally expensive. Bought this vehicle used with low miles but will be paying it off over the next couple of years. This is turning into a worst nightmare scenario.
Salesman Lanard Smith was the best consultant we ever had!! It was like buying a car from a friend from the beginning..he was out in the rain and came to the car welcomed us and ready to work with us.. unlike most car lots where you have to search for a salesperson..We hate coming to car lots but Lanard made us feel comfortable with the buying process and made it βfunβ again! I have bought 2 vehicles within the last 6 months. The Cadillac Escalade I purchased is now in need of a $5900 transmission. They company does not seem to care that I just purchased this faulty vehicle from them and that they are the reason why I am in need to have this repair. Very disappointed and will never purchase from here again.

I recently bought a 2014 Ford Escape from baker earlier this month. Upon getting home I noticed that two seatbelt buckles in the back seat were missing. I called my salesman and told him and he asked me to come back in to check. Unfortunately, i couldnβt get back to Charleston and asked them to meet me half way with a loaner so they can take my car. He proceeds to tell me that it was his busy time of year and they couldnβt do that and I needed to come in on the weekend if I wanted this to be taken care of. Now I remind you, the car they sold me was missing two seatbelt buckles. Let they sink in! I canβt even take my kids to school in my car. I called a local ford dealer and they took care of it for me ASAP. Now they are getting all of my service calls and I will be buying my wifeβs new car from them now! Thanks Baker!!!
My fiance Thomas Reeves purchased a 2015 cadillac from Baker. Before the tag came in the mail the car was in the shop because it needed a new motor. We were sold a car with an engine that was already blown . We believe the company rigged the car just enough where we could drive it off the lot a few more miles, and then seen where the car was faulty. When he contacted his salesman he was then told because he bought it as is no warranty then it was our responsibility. Who would think that a car with 77,000 miles on it would have engine problems. We are now having to make payments on a car we cant drive as well as to have th repairs done is $4500. He, my fiance wrote a review after having done that the company then posted for my fiance to contact them to give them a second chance to make it right. So in doing that, noone will speak to him . They only commented that under the reviews to make it look like they care. How can they get away with this?

One of the worst experiences Ive had with a dealership. I went to pick up a part from the parts department. Very poor signage directing you to the parts department. Which is in a totally separate building. No one was at the counter when I arrived. Waited long enough to watch prices right on there large screen for service department customers. Finally a sales lady came up with another customer. The parts associate proceeded to help her while I stood there continuing to wait. Finally I got the part that I had called ahead to get. Very poor customer service!!!! And they get away with it cause you have to have the parts needed to fix your car.

Our new XT4 is great! However, we have been experiencing some confusion since we purchased the car and are residents of Florida. We were given a 30 day temporary tag while we wait for the transfer to go through. (Which takes longer than 30 days) Our first one expired and the numbers on the new temporary tag completely washed away from rain. While we understand the rain is not bakers fault, we keep getting the run around from staff when calling for replacement. Every time we call I am pointed to a voicemail and while we would love to be able to reach out to our salesman when we needed the first replacement it appeared that he never took action. We would have appreciated clear instruction and at least response to our concerns as we are unable to drive and enjoy our new car at the moment.

I dropped my car off on a Monday morning with the understanding that my vehicle would likely be diagnosed by the end of the work day. I was brushed off by Dean, the service supervisor, on Tuesday when I called twice about my vehicle and it still had not been looked at by any technicians. I called Wednesday afternoon and my car was STILL awaiting a diagnosis. Dean was unapologetic and gave me a lousy explanation involving the shop being short staffed and something about twenty things going on at once. I picked up my car that day and later took it to a local shop around the corner from my home, no appointment necessary. They called me back in less than two hours. I am very disappointed with the lack of professionalism at Baker Cadillac. They were very apathetic about the pace of servicing my car and being short staffed should NEVER be used as an excuse when addressing a problem with a customer. I made an appointment WEEKS before I dropped it off that Monday morning. They should have been prepared. Maybe if Dean hadnt acted like such a jerk on the phone, I would have taken the scheduler up on the offer to loan me a vehicle while mine was still in the shop.

Service department is horrible!!! Dropped my car with Joey who gave me an estimate the next day. I told him about another issue the car was having and he said hed call me back with price. I NEVER heard from him again. I called back asking for Joey and left a message for him. Over a week later and still no Joey. I called back again asking if Joey still worked there and was told yes. I left another message for him with no results. He actually had another person call me two days later, I asked where was Joey and was told hed asked this person to call me. He knew he didnt want to hear my wrath. What a joke this Joey guy in service. If you want to wait a long time for service, then Baker Cadillac is for you. Remember ask for Joey, Lol.

Mr. A.J. called me this morning with his commitment is first to his employees. In fact, someone did not get a hamburger. Someone needs to explain to him who provides a job for him and his employees. This is in order to learn him a fact about the business world.It was embarrassing to think it was a public affair and ask for a hot dog and he refused. Customer appreciation is a lesson A.J. should learn or be sent back to school for public relations.
Great service a good place they clean my car did my oil change
Simple oil change turned to new engine. After having a service performed on my vehicle that went wrong, my vehicle now has a new engine. When contacting Baker after failure, it was their position not to take responsibility for the issue that was deemed a direct result of their work. After consulting with a lawyer and making an attempt to resolve the issue, a court case was filed. It was a lengthy process that saw them utilize 2 defense firms and have their GM and service director directly involved with the case. At the conclusion of the trial a jury found against Baker and in my favor, faulting them with the issue and awarding funds for repair. Baker Buick GMC Cadillac and Baker Motor Companyβs reluctance to right a wrong done in their service department is unbelievable and unfortunate. A company that has a reputation around Charleston of class and excellence to treat a customer in this way and not back their work and shortcomings. Very disappointed in the conduct of the management team at this location, couldβve been handled in a much better way.
I bought my Escalade from Baker Cadillac (paid sticker price)and when I called to ask if I could bring my car in for a assessment (because the county appraised my car and almost double what its worth) the sales manager cut me off in mid sentence and said I cant help you. I dont get involved in that. I even asked if I could bring my car in and have them take value of it and he said it wont do you any good to do that. He was so rude and couldnt get off the phone fast enough. You would think he would be nice to someone who bought an Escalade from him. I definitely will never do business with Baker again as long as he is the manager there. His name was Bob.

I went into Baker Cadillac this morning after making an appointment 2 weeks ago for my 2015 ATS. I purchased my car used 2 years ago and had difficulty with my extra key fob from day one. After experiencing a tire pressure problem while enroute to North Carolina I also discovered that the tire pressure indicators were not correctly identifying the tire with the problem.I returned my car for othervroutine service to Carmax ( where I purchased it) and was informed that they could not calibrate my pressure indicators correctly and did not carry key fobs in stock or program them to vehicles.Enter Baker Cadillac and my hero Joey on the service drive! I was in and out in no time with two correctly working key fobs, properly functioning tire indicators, and a washed vehicle. The dealership is spotless. The waiting room warm and inviting and complete with current magazines, complimentary wifi, a quiet space for those trying to work and a very nice cappuccino or coffee machine.Service was courteous, professional, friendly and knowledgeable.Ill be back for all my future service needs as well as for my next Cadillac purchase.Joey went above and beyond from welcome to departure and should be recognized as the asset he is.
