By the way I drove 3 hrs from Charlotte to Charleston because not only did they have the best price but they were straightforward with the information and I can’t say that about the other dealerships I contacted during this purchase.

Both times, I bought cars elsewhere where I was treated with respect. Theres really something wrong with this place. Dont go there!
Im rarely inclined to write a review on Google, but I had such a good experience today with Kia that I felt compelled to do just that! Ive been going to this dealership for routine maintenance since I got my car about three or four years ago. Ive rarely had a less-than-perfect experience, and in the one occasion that an error was made (during a tire rotation, my hubcaps were put on in a way that blocked the air valve), I got quick and very apologetic service to correct it.Usually Im helped by a lovely gentleman whose name I cant remember at the moment, but today I was assisted by AJ, who juggling answering phones and helping customers like it was as easy as taking a Sunday stroll. All the while, he was kind, engaging, and personable. He clearly explained the services I was getting, the cost, etc. The amazing service Ive received at Kia Country is the reason I keep coming back, and I hope you take care of your wonderful service staff members as well as they take care of your customers.
My husband and I drove from Beaufort (1.5 hours) to see a few vehicles we had seen on the website. We were immediately greeted by a sales associate named Jordan, we checked out a few of the cars and when it came down to getting our trade appraised and pulling credit, it was like fighting tooth and nail. First off, our trade was lowballed severely. They offered us 2,200 after we had already received several offers elsewhere for anywhere between 3.5 and 4k. Clearly they make their money off of financing because when we brought up our pre approval with Capital One, we were pressured into applying for financing with Kia, who came back with an astronomical rate, and ridiculous payments. We were then told that Capital One came back with an ‘immediate denial’ and would want at least 5k down with the trade, which was a complete lie considering we had already gotten a full approval at a different dealership from Capital One. Jordan then told us several more lies about the our approval, and told us we could just take our keys and go our separate ways. We were fully prepared to be walk out with a brand new car from Kia Country today, but instead we left and went to Stokes Kia, who honored our Capital One approval, with a 8% lower interest rate than we were told here, got us into a better car for a lower price. I am highly unsatisfied with Kia Country, but if you are in the market for a new Kia, definitely check out Stokes Kia.Maybe don’t judge a book by its cover next time. Just because we are a young couple, does not mean we should be treated ANY differently.
This dealership sold me a faulty car. My car has already had two recalls on it and it has not even been a full year. It takes about 3 weeks to 4 weeks to get your car in for any kind of service. If you ask an employee for any form of help, they always have an excuse on why they can’t help you out. If I ask to speak to someone who would know the answer, they say they are busy or are out of office. This dealership only wants to take your money and does not care about you, your safety, or your time. Please do yourself a favor and get your car elsewhere.

Very nice people, went in for a tire change they got me in right away, however when the kid took my car for a test drive he left the parking lot too fast and I heard my front end slam on the ground, also left dirty finger prints on my fender and rim.
Terrible service on our family car. Our window washing fluid pump needed to be replaced and we had an ABS (antilock break system) light that kept coming on in our dash. We took our van in to have the pump replaced and they took a look at our sensor to determine why the light was coming on. They replaced the pump and the sensor and sent us on our way. When we were leaving the parking lot the wheel felt like it was going to fall off. We pulled in and told the service team what was happening. It turns out when they replaced the sensor, they broke the hub- the thing is, they knew they broke the hub, but nobody told us. After much arguing and a total of five hours in their waiting area they finally came up with a loaner car to take home while they awaited a new hub. When the car was fixed the service manager called and I decided in order to make it right I told them they could fill the tank and detail the car. I was told, “no problem.” When returning to pick up my car the gas tank had been filled but the car had not been detailed. Poor service all around. They had the opportunity to make it right, and they did not.
The manager of your repair area went out of his way to make us comfortable and got what we needed done in a timely manner. Please thank them for my daughter and I.

We called to get our Sorrento passenger door repaired. This is where the baby sits and our concern was in the case of a wreck the first responders would not be able to get the baby out. The service manager refused to help us get it fixed saying the were no avaliable openings until a month away. I understand they are busy but this a 30 minute job. We took our suv to Stokes Kia in Goose Creek they were also busy but worked us in and fixed our vehicle In thirty minutes.Thank you Josh and the service department at Stokes Kia. This is where we are going to purchase and service our cars from now on.
Went to have car serviced due to a recall. AJ (gentleman who initiated paperwork) was EXTREMELY courteous and made the wait time very pleasant. He consistently updated me on the service being done and the length of the wait time. Which wound up being less than anticipated. I was very pleased with the service and would definitely return for future service/maintenance. AJ Kia did the right thing in hiring you.

As great of a car buying and service experience as one can get. The whole team is incredibly friendly and as accommodating as possible when scheduling service. Plus you can’t beat the warranty & free oil changes, and KIA is a way better value than other manufacturers. Fair warning, the service department stays very, very busy so plan on booking a week or so out. Once you’re there the wait isn’t long. I usually wait around 30 min for an oil change & tire rotation. Highly recommend!
KIA Country of Charleston is the dealership to which I take our Borrego for any required maintenance over & above oil changes, rotating & balancing the tires, & 4 wheel alignment (I have lifetime wheel alignment at another facility) or those times I require sick vehicle services. I consider KIA Country of Charleston as our Borregos ER & hospital. Their Service Department Staff, both Administrative & Mechanic, are top notch professionals. Ones assessment of the visit leaves one with that Ill be back sensibility.

Justin is terrific ... friendly, knowledgeable, professional and most important, patient. i quickly narrowed my options to the new K5. Justin explained the features of each trim level. i picked up my 2021 K5 EX with the premium package two days ago. it’s gorgeous, very comfortable and the ride is oh, so smooth. I financed with Kia Motors. The process was quick and Zola made it easy.With so many new features, Justine scheduled a new car tutorial.Another great experience at Kia Country!

I bought a new/gently used KIA from a local organization famous for moving cars off the lot. Unfortunately, I learned from another driver that the back break lights were out. Purchased a vehicle a few months ago. Love my new car! Zola was great! Normally when you purchase a vehicle over the next few days you get a follow up call. Never got a call, and I was promised a tour of the service center just in case I wanted to get maintenance work there, however I never got that.
Agreed to dealers numbers over text message, and gave credit card number for $500 deposit, and even sent in all docs (license, registration & insurance). I even filled out credit application. Dealer texted hour later saying they have someone willing to pay more and sold to someone else. STAY AWAY
My wifes car had a recall that needed to be taken care of and I had the BEST customer service from AJ. AJ is a true professional. He created a positive atmosphere out of this experience and I will always be back to this location for future services. Thank you AJ.

Kia Country Service Department Edit (10/09/2021):I understand that Kia Country Service is very busy. Theyve always worked hard and have always been very kind. So I do regret having to edit my review.Firstly, the service department damaged two of my B pillars in April of 2021. Minor damage, easy fix. The service manager reassured me. When the damage occured that they would resolved the issue within a few weeks and call me back to schedule an appointment. No calls from Kia, being told we cant at three self-made appointments, and 6 months later, it has been extremely frustrating at the level of commitment and communication, or lack thereof. I truly hope that with my latest appointment to resolve my B pillars damage that they make correcting their mistakes a priority. After all, they gave me their word, no matter how minor the damage.Secondly, this was the second oil change that I got for my Forte GT at this service department. The first oil change they overfilled my 4.8qt oil engine with 6qts. Which I checked once I got home bc my engine wasnt running very smoothly (a 2021 new car). When I called after checking that they overfilled my engine, a rep said slightly overfilling is ok (its not) and didnt offer to bring the car in immediately, hence why I dumped it myself. On 10/9, my second oil change, I checked immediately at the service department after idling my car myself for 1min, and found they overfilled it, again, with 6qt (based on my paper bill and a significantly elevated oil line on the dipstick). The service manager verified it himself. They immediately took it back and resolved the issue. Once is fine, but twice? Neglect can seriously damage your engine. Please please please check your dipstick yourselves as customers so that this doesnt happen to you as well.___________________Id like to preface this with saying I had a great overall experience at Kia Country. Zola and Jimmy made my time there pleasant and the staff treated me with respect. Every phone call and physical interaction was a joy and I got timely replies to all my questions. They were open for negotiation and I ultimately got the price I wanted on my trade-in and purchase of a new vehicle. I should stress, again, that I am pleased with my overall experience here.Ive shopped at many dealerships, but online through email and in person. And my only reservation with this dealership was that they are the least transparent auto sales experience over ever had (finance office was stellar, it is the sales department I am referring to). While, again, they are incredibly nice, as a consumer I value transparency above all. Every quote and price negotiation was presented with the tried and true monthly payment break-down grids. I specifically asked for price breakdown quote in writing/print (car invoice price, car add ons, doc fees, tax, etc) but was denied every time. Which was never an issue when working with other local dealerships. One particular salesman would not even commit to putting the Out The Door price in writing and would continue to refer me to the monthly-payment-grids. The lack of transparency made me nervous about any add-ons or fees that I would normally have been able physically point-out and negotiate.If youre okay with being in the dark about 100% of what youre paying for - or you like to keep it simple - then please disregard the above. But if you, like me, like to see what youre actually paying for - you may not be 100% comfortable.

Worst service after the sale Ive ever seen. 4 weeks to schedule an oil change. Then I order a part from the part dept. The part comes in and I schedule a day to have the part put on a week in advance. When I get there this AM Im not even in the system. How they have the amount of good reviews is beyond me

Mainly, my seatbelt stopped retracting so as you could imagine, this was a pretty emergent issue that needed to be fixed ASAP. I went to a KIA off of goose creek blvd (WHICH YOU SHOULD NEVER DO!!) and they could care less. They wouldn’t even take a look at the issue.So I called KIA COUNTRY OF CHARLESTON and as expected, they made an hour of room to fix this extremely important safety feature on my vehicle. I don’t do a lot of reviews.. only when it matters and believe me when I say.. KIA COUNTRY possibly saved my life by taking the time to go fix this for me. Thank you Kia Country. You’re my first choice from now on.
Im going to start out and say that the reason Im rating this dealership three stars is because their service department is not large enough to support the number of cars that theyve sold. I recently had multiple warning lights going off on my car. It took 10 days to get an appointment, and that is standard wait time for any service there. A part had to be ordered and I couldnt schedule the installation appointment for another 10 days after it arrived. Ive had warning lights going off in my car now for weeks now. This is an unacceptable situation, Kia Country must stop selling so many cars until they can expand their service department and support the cars theyve already sold.The people in the service department are really nice, they know their stuff, they go out of their way to help you; Its just that it takes so darn long to get an appointment.8/2021 update: Still taking 3 WEEKS to get a service appointment, TOTALLY unacceptable.

Wife wanted a larger new SUV to replace our 2016 GMC Terrain to accommodate our growing family and searched several automotive rankings to find the Mazda CX-9 and Kia Telluride were both at the top of all lists. I looked into both and we agreed (a rarity) the Telluride was our choice. Called Kia of Charleston at 751 on Tuesday night.Frank Classen answered immediately and explained the fastest process to get set up with financing after we both concluded this model is scarce and doesn’t stay on the lot long enough to wait around for. After completing the online 2 minute Kia credit prequalified app on their website as he walked me through, he met me Wednesday on his DAY OFF to show me the exact model we had our eye on and took me out for an extended test drive while demonstrating all features and allowing me to ask questions.He was extremely personable and never once pushy or abrupt with his personal time, and once we agreed on the vehicle I asked him to get the deal started and I would return the next day to pick up the car with down payment in hand.I picked up my wife and children from our home yesterday afternoon and told them to get in the truck and we showed up at the dealership to a detailed and gas filled new vehicle, complete with red bow atop to surprise my wife. We had a very brief wait for our Finance Manager Zola to load up all the documents, and all in all the process took less than an hour. As a former car salesman right out of college, I can say with certainty her integrity and transparency was something I’ve never experienced. We got a great rate through Kia directly, lowered our monthly payment, and an extensive service plan that covers services, brakes, tires, complementary weekly washes etc for a fraction of what I’ve seen for “extended warranties.” She was very concise answering all questions and extremely competent and honest.All in all an incredible experience beginning to end from a vehicle manufacturer I would’ve never considered purchasing from until this week. The Telluride is an incredible vehicle, packed with amenities and comfort; quiet and powerful with a ton of active safety features that make me feel much better about with my wife and children driving in Charleston traffic.You’d be foolish to not consider this dealership, small and nothing fancy as it is, when purchasing your next vehicle.

DisappointedWent to get an AC diagnosis paid $200, they told me I needed a new AC compressor which would be $800 total, took it to get repaired by another shop. Found out its actually an electrical problem. Went back to Kia and they told me they couldnt do anything regarding the misdiagnosis.

My experience with the Charleston Kia dealership was a two day process that ended wonderfully. I’m a first time car buyer and Elijah, one of the sales reps, was great. He was knowledgeable and very candid. He didn’t try to sell me something I couldn’t afford. He was very patient and worked with me to find and get a car I really enjoyed. He made my first car buying experience a great one.
I saw a car online that i wanted to come in and test drive. It was a 2016 Dodge Charger that has been on the lot now for 4 months. I sat down with the sales rep after to discuss numbers and payment. I have a solid credit score and a strong income. The sales rep came back an interest in the DOUBLE figures of 11.5 %!!! By far the highest interest rate I have ever heard quoted for a gently used car. This was my first and last experience with this dealership.

No one ever likes going to get their car serviced, but somehow they folks at Kia Country have gotten customer service done so well that I dont mind it. They are fairly quick, keep you informed, and they even cleaned my car! These guys are great on the sales and service sides, and I totally recommend them!
The car but experience was a breeze but since then the service and warranty process has been nothing but a nightmare. I’ve called multiple times and left messages. The service department can’t seem to help me. The finance manager can’t be bother to call me back. We are looking to trade in early 2021 and this will not be where I purchase from.Edit to the follow up reply.That’s funny because I have been calling Ms Zola since Wednesday of last week. I have left messages for her at the dealership,texted the number provided on the website and messaged thru Facebook. I have yet to speak with her in person. Or even thru a message so no my warranty isn’t confusing or complex because no one has even been able to inform me of the terms of said warranty. She also has not been able to speak to me about purchasing a new vehicle or warranty because again. She has not replied to my calls and messages. Very simply all I needed to know was what if any warranty did my car have because unfortunately the service department was unable to see that information. What should have been a very simple question and answer has turned I to a run around with no answers. Very simply I have learned my lesson with your dealership.

I am close to graduating college, and I have been on the lookout for buying a new car. Since I’m not buying right now, when my boyfriend and I arrived, we told the salesman (Tony Washington) that we were just looking and didn’t want to waste his time. Tony was very kind and insisted we look at the car I was interested in. He was so knowledgeable about the product! It’s honestly pretty rare for us to go to a dealership and the salesperson know more than we do (we’re totally car guys). All I know is when money is right for me, I will definitely be visiting again and buying from Tony.
I did not get a fair deal at this location. I also received a $1000 higher quote for my trade at another dealership, and a better car better financing. Thank Colby for nothing at all.
