Referred to Chris by retired Mike Rumph. (IYKYK) I was so scared he would tell me to fix things that were not all that necessary. Hell, I’ve put all 270K miles on it all by myself and just need to make it to 300K. He not only fixed my initial problem… but gave me a list of what I need to do next … with prices. Price was so reasonable. He is so incredibly smart. I listened to him coach another Volvo customer while I waited (not even 5 minutes)He knew my xc90s problem at “hello”. I highly recommend! Chris was very helpful when my Honda Odyssey misfired and all the engine powered lights started flashing and the van lurched and really started to struggle. I asked Chris about disabling the VCM and the suggested repairs based on the advice I received on OdyClub. Chris suggested I reach out to Honda North America for help since it was their design flaw. He was right! He also suggested that since open heart surgery was required to repair it, Honda was the best place to take it. Thanks to Chris I saved well over $1000 and who else can say that about their mechanic?

RVS is a great place to have any year or model Volvo diagnosed and repaired. I’ve taken my wife’s 2010 XC60 here and have been satisfied every time. Prices are fare, Chris doesn’t try to rip you off, and usually they have the parts needed already in stock. I would recommend anyone not wanting to go to a dealer to check RVS out and you’ll see what all these reviews are talking about.

Quality work and pricing. My V70R has never ran better! Timing belt, alternator, serpentine belt tensioner, left front 4c strut and top hat, right front strut top hat, transmission fluid replacement, coolant flush, and an oil change. It’s a new car.

Chris is the owner and a regular encyclopedia of knowledge about Volvos. I like that Chris never tells you to get something you dont really need. He explains things clearly, gives you your options and the pros and cons, then does great work. The guys in the back doing the actual wrench turning do a great job!

We have several in our family ranging from an analog 1987 240 wagon to a digital XC70. Their care, honesty, & competence keeps us on the road. If you are looking for a cheap, good enough job stay away, if you care about your car and want to drive it for years Reputable is your shop.

The customer service is unbeatable-- Chris and his team take the time to listen to your concerns and talk it out with you. My XC90 gave us some issues and Reputable Volvo was my lifesaver; they took the time to do the job right and kept me informed, always patient and understanding of my mechanical limitations. I bought a high mileage used Volvo and needed somewhere honest and reputable to take it. Several friends highly recommended Reputable Volvo Service and I am glad they did. First off, their labor rate is over 30% less than the other Volvo service place in Charleston. Secondly, I feel like they truly take the time to listen and they explained what was required in laymans terms and I fully understood everything they were going to do before they did it. Very pleased and will continue to be a customer.

Took girlfriend to get her car there and they replace a belt a hose and I think plug wires for a total of $2000. Ill never own a Volvo ever.

Nice dude, sure, acted honest; ended up charging me 500 bucks to reconnect my fuel pump. Nothing was wrong with the thing, just reconnected it. I say: if you have plenty of money and dont mind being ripped off, check this place out, but otherwise just go to the dealership. I wish I had known beforehand I was paying 500 bucks for a $100 dollar problem, but thats not what these folks are here for. They are here for people with Volvos and money. So if thats not you, go somewhere else; dont buy this mans bullshit about them doing a better job.
