Please make sure to greet your customers don’t pick and choose who you will greet your customers. I walked right in the store and made eye contact with at least 3 associates and none said a word but when others walked in there it was so many greetings. Also don’t follow a customer all the way to their destination and not ask them if they need any help then turn around when you have been spotted. I work at an Ulta myself so I was just shocked as to how these employees were acting and then when I tell them which Ulta I work at all of a sudden they are so nice and jolly.

Had to look for help. Other than the check out lady, there was only one other person there, and she was all the way in the back. She was very helpful once I found someone.

I cant remember the employees name, but he helped me find the perfect shade brow pencil and lip balm 😊

Outstanding on most of their prices, and some of the young ladys were outstanding with their help and attitudes, very friendly and outgoing.

These stores are almost ALWAYS OUT OF MY FAVORITE BRANDS!!!ALSO THEYVE DECREASED THE PRODUCT LINES SOOO MUCH ILL BE SHOPPING ELSEWHERE, WHERE THE FULL LINE IS CARRIED!!!!!ULTA.... YOU ARE DOING YOURSELVES A GRRRRREAT DISSERVICE!!!!

I’m extremely disappointed the Lancôme rep position has been eliminated. The lady previously assigned was wonderful and knew each product thoroughly and knew right away what my skin needed. I was in store again today and noticed several new products, but are they for me? I’ll never know unless I shell out another $200 or so to sample them. There are no more in store samples. I see lots of specials on 5he official Lancome’ site. I think I’ll try them next time. They also have some wonderful sets with full sized product for different skin needs. Each set has substantial savings.

I’ve been to Ulta Salon before when I lived in Cali, and had great experiences. I loved my stylist there and have been trying to replace her since I moved here. I rarely get a good hair cut because a lot of people are afraid to cut my curls too short. Kayla was a dream! She listened to what I wanted and did exactly that. Even when I said I wanted an undercut, she didn’t talk me out of it. Which I loved. She got the length and shape perfect! I told her I got a fresh piercing on my ear, and she was so gentle, didn’t snag it once. I’m still raving about her and my new hair. She even gave me a few tips and product recommendations, one of which I’ve already used and love. I haven’t been in love with a haircut in so long, until now. I totally recommend this Ulta Salon, and Kayla for your hair needs.

I really was super stoked when this Ulta came to Chester Va. it was convenient and have great products. That is for the 2 ⭐️⭐️ For. As far as for customers service, as many times I’ve stopped by there... all the do is gossip, and if someone is leaving the store, they lose the fact that they are at WORK! Even the manager was embarrassing. She saw me and took her sweet jolly time. Btw: I ordered on line for pick up. On my way home after an hour, I stop at the store to pick up my stuff.... NOT ONE THING WAS READY. I offer to leave and come back. The person at the register had told them several times on the speaker phone. Whomever post 5 star... I call BS. I’ve never been here fully helped. This group is tooComfortable in a professional space. We expect professionalism. After work... do what you want. Take care of this store! Sheesh! Stop gossiping!!!! You are all grown women! Please show class.Canceled almost $200 worth of products. Now if that doesn’t make you want to write a rate, I dunno what kid of services you all are getting. Amazing staff/employees. I went in looking for concealer for the blue/black under my eyes, and got some great help. The girl helping me was very knowledgeable, and quite patient with me, as I had no idea what I was doing; and I really didnt know anything about concealer. I will definitely be going back to this location! 😊💕

Crystal is freaking amazing! She has made my ultimate hair goals come true. She is so gentle and she can tame my long hair without giving me a headache ! Best of all my hair feels so healthy she made sure she keeps the health of my hair as the top priority which is really important to me!

I went here earlier today due to a return, friendly employees and a nice looking store. Never been to an ULTA Beauty store before, pricer than Sally Beauty Supply though with the higher end products. Just wish theyd put one a bit closer to me.

If you have the chance to stop by, I would highly recommend Sarah at Benefit to get your eyebrows done!!! I left feeling so good about myself, when I haven’t in months! She’s absolutely wonderful. She listens to what you want and you can tell how truly passionate she is about making her clients just feel good. Not only is she professional, but she is hilarious and will keep you laughing! I will be back!

Sales person was rude. I was willing to spend but I was told there was no treatment for my skin as I am just getting older.... I am 43 and just have a few fine lines, nothing serious. I KNOW there are serums and many other treatments by numerous different brands that will help. Went to the next Ulta up the road. They were awesome! This placed? Not so much. Unfortunately, we wont be back.

Crystal at Ulta salon location in Chester is amazing. I have been going to her for a while she has changed my hair from red to blue without any issues - she is true master of color - her cuts are amazing as well - would recommend in heart beat!!!

My family and I visited Ulta on 7/1/2020. It was my daughter’s birthday, she wanted some concealer. We walked into the store and was greeted by a young lady with (I think) green hair. My daughter and I looked around,I even made phone calls to my other daughters to ask them what did their little sister need to cover up dark circles, my daughter told me she needed concealer but someone needed to match it with her shin color. We stood their for atleast 3-5 minutes, several Ulta representatives walked pass us and NO ONE, not ONE single representative spoke or asked us if we needed assistance....The treatment we received this day around 5:55p.m. was ridiculous,therefore I not any of my family or friends will NEVER shop at Ulta again...I will patronizir Sephora or Macy’s...very very very disappointed in the customer service I and my family received from Ulta!!!

What a disappointment. Any Ulta I have visited has offered great customer service, someone to help introduce new products that I often purchase in addition to my planned buying...not here, you will be ignored and if you ask for help, you will get an anxious eye roll followed by being passed to associate after associate because no one in fact knows how to help. Lets not give Chester such a bad rep with this low quality of service...I really dont want to drive to Chesterfield but I guess I have no choice. I will not shop here again.

I only went to get bare minerals. My complaint...picking up the tester and getting tot the register with it. First, why is the tester mixed in with the regular stock. Two, I have shopped at Sephora several times and if this happened there, the cashier would go and get what was needed. Also, what happened to people helping you? I walked in the store and some dude that worked there was just standing doing nothing but standing...does no one there ask if you need help? Kinda disappointing.

ULTA is a very nice, clean, organized full service salon. They have most of the brands of makeup. The staff are helpful. The only negative are the prices.

I got ulta at 6:50 PM they were closing at seven but I had a curbside order so I ran in and picked it up when I got to my car and opened it I noticed that it looks like it has been opened, it was a foundation so it’s 658 I walk to the door to ask if I could simply exchange it for a product that was not opened already and they waited three minutes until 701 and said sorry I can’t let anyone in and now I have a used product and nothing to do with it or I guess I can choose to drive out of my way to come back to Ulta to pick it up again when I was already here this is the second time I have bought foundation from this particular Ulta and it has been opened previously

I popped in quickly to replenish my shampoo & conditioner. At the counter I found out I had a birthday gift to choose from. Choose the eyeshadow. Friendly service.

I really wanted to give it a two because I was almost an hour in before anyone asked me how I was doing or did I need anything. Luckily one lady asked me and answered all me questions and made me feel a little bit ease with my purchase.

Love this location and ive never had any issues here. The staff is always helpful and the ladies who work the brow bar especially are so kind and do great work. The only thing that disappoints me about this location is that they dont have any colourpop products, which is one of my favorite more affordable brands.

I really loved this store when it first opened. The ladies at the Benefit Brow Bar were so helpful in suggesting product and getting me things to try. However, the last four times I have gone into this store, no one has spoken to me but the cashier when I checked out. The last time was particularly bad. I spent 20 minutes in the store watching employees do each others makeup, discuss what products they used, and their techniques, or put away product. An employee nearly ran into me with a hand truck of boxes; I said excuse me and sorry, they said nothing. I was not acknowledged by anyone but the cashier when I checked out, and was offered no help. This location is very convenient to my office, but after the service here, Id rather drive to the west end and go to sephora. At least they seem to value customers.

Went to store to buy Christmas gifts. There is a special, buy any bottle of perfume for $50 or more and get a free throw blanket however, I was told at the checkout counter that even though I was purchasing several bottles of perfume...expensive perfume at that, that I could not get a free blanket with each bottle of perfume (even though I was going to make several separate purchases). I was told to come back the next day. That was very frustrating but the worst part was the EMPLOYEE THAT GAVE ME THE NASTY DIRTY LOOKS. CURLY BLACK HAIR, HEAVY SET WITH GLASSES....MAYBE WORKING AT ULTA BEAUTY IS NOT HER BEST CHOICE. IAM GOING TO SAY FINISHING AND ETIQUETTE SCHOOL SHOULD BE OF TOP PRIORITY.!!!!!!!

Very disappointed when I had a problem at a store, I never heard back from a manager or anyone for that matter. Multiple contacts and emails, but was ignored. Sad, because I was a loyal Ulta shopper.

This Ulta was so needed in this area! I go in all the time, and I have to say it’s my favorite. The MAC artist there knows her ish about makeup and the cashier girls are very nice.

Horrible hair cut. I asked for an inverted Bob and she cut it straight with layers. I also asked what I should purchase to give my hair volume because my hair is straight and flat and she told me I should blow dry it upside down. Since she couldnt help me with product purchasing I will go somewhere else.

Do not go here if you are a beginner, the employees will laugh at you. Went here looking for a starter makeup kit and advice. Found out they didnt have one, which is fine, it was a longshot anyways, but the employees reaction is why Im never going here again. When I informed her that I was a college student who didnt have practice with makeup, she tilted her head, smirked, and cooed at me as if I was so foolish and dumb to have never used makeup before this age. She didnt offer any advice, just that. I am disgusted. I will not be coming back here. I hope the employees are better taught to help customers who are a bit out of their element rather than make fun of them.

Poor customer service. I have been several times. No one greets you when you walk in, nor did any one ask if I needed help. I chose not to spend my money there.

One of the female workers looked like she had her child do her make up. She made me not want to buy the make up there. And usually I dont judge people who have an off day, but this was too much. There was another friendly worker there that stated she never wore make up and I was giving advice to her on how to use make up. There was one guy there that just kept to himself and seemed to not want to be bothered. Out of the entire store I thought two people actually worked there because they knew how to do their make up. The lady at the cash register was a good example of what people should look like at these stores. If you go to specialty stores, you should be able to go to the workers for assistance and advice if needed. Not the other way around. If you hire someone with little to no experience then train them. You dont go to a carpet store and expect the people to not understand anything aboht carpet! I did not want make up from this place because I didnt i didnt feel the experience.

Nice location, horrible customer service. Currently on the way to other location to be assisted. For a first time experience of such a well known brand I was not impressed.

They wouldnt let me in the door without a mask and I have a health issue that prevents me from using the same protective gear most people can. The girls at the door were downright ugly to me in front of everyone. Ill never go back

I came in to look for a new foundation Not a single person talked to me, offered help or anything. I asked a young blonde there for assistance but she looked at me and ignored me was too busy talking to her friend. 3 other employees were obviously not doing anything, wouldnt help. I went the check out, and was never asked how I was, did I find everything ok, did anyone help. Say what you want, this was the worst experience and I will not be going back. Shame on you ulta, for not training people on proper customer service.
