Have used Mark to put together a few bikes. Super knowledgeable and efficient. As far as putting together the bikes my only complaint would be I personally felt he under tightened my seat and handlebars.No biggie as I caught it early into a ride but something to be aware of. I suspect Marks and others are hesitant to tighten things to much for liability reasons. However disc brake alignment, and gear indexing were executed perfectly.I witnessed him ride the bike for at least 20 min making adjustments which provides lots of peace of mind .Also all the advise he gave me on what I should upgrade or not upgrade was spot on. He even had parts to upgrade my bike to help it fit me as perfect as possible (since I bought my bike online).I would recommend him to anyone!

Terrific experience all around. The local bike shop was eight weeks out on tune-ups. 3rd Coast got all three of our bikes tuned-up within a week, one of which is a specialty bike with hard to find parts. Fast. Responsive. Convenient. Great prices. Great quality. Highly recommended.

The whole experience was easy, quick and professional. For a mom of two little ones juggling work and learning from home, the convenience of on site repair was fabulous! Our two old bikes that hadn’t been ridden in 20+ years were put back into working order within just a couple of hours. Highly recommend!

After ordering a bike online and over confidently thinking I could put it together, I found myself not knowing what to do with this bike in a box in my apartment, let alone how I would get it to a bike shop. The local shops were giving me 1-2-week turnaround time, on top of the fact that I had to go to them to drop off and pick-up! UGH! Enter scene: 3rd Coast Cycles and Marc. I sent an email inquiry via google search and immediately got a friendly response. I had no idea mobile bike services were a thing- genius! After a few funny texts back and forth we set up a time for a few days later! I could not have been more pleased with the personalized service and ease from start to finish! Marc arrived, came up to my apartment, we had a fun and engaging chat about misc things while he assembled, he even gave me some bike knowledge/tips, which I appreciated. (fixie bike- took 30/40 minutes assembly). In no time I was on my way riding my new bike! Best of all the cost was about the same (in some cases less) than what I was quoted from local bike shops without nearly the convenience of them coming to me! Marc was great and personable going above and beyond making sure the seat was low enough for my comfort (let’s just say a handsaw was involved!) I could not be happier to have found 3rd Coast Cycles and look forward to meeting the rest of the crew at their pop-up shop on the lakefront trail for tune-ups this summer!

This is the second year that I did my annual bike tune up with Marc’s team. Marc is very responsive and the team helped on tuning up and small parts replacement without additional charge. Good value. I tried a few other places before, Marc’s service gave the best experience so far and the bike has been in good condition through the whole summer.

He’s very knowledgeable and was able to diagnose an unusual issue I was having with my Trek mountain bike fairly quickly while explaining why this may have happened. Really cant say enough about the service. Very easy - no schlepping of the bikes to a shop, no waiting weeks for the repair shop to complete the back log of work. Marc came out - talked to me about my very old Bridgestone bike and gave me his opinion on what I could / should do with it. I agreed. He tuned that one up and got it in working order and also educated me a bit about my vintage Cannondale and tuned that up as well. Would definitely use Marcs services again. He gained a long-term client!

Mobile tune ups are much easier than trying to find time in your day to go to a brick and mortar store (for me at least! Marc is easy to work with despite his high demand business as the warmer months come to Chicago. This is the 2nd year I have used the service and have every intention of calling him next year!

Last summer, I needed to replace an inner tube on my mountain bike, which also needed a tune-up because it had been sitting for the better part of 3 years. I thought it would be a quick, easy task to take the bike to a local bike shop. Well, I was wrong. The one closest to me had a FIVE day wait. I called two others near me, and they didnt even answer the phone. Finally, I looked for a mobile bike repair place. Not only did they answer the phone, but they were also able to pick up my bike within 1 day and return it to me the day after that. It was amazing, convenient service, and the owner is super nice. He even special ordered a rear-mounted bike light for me and made a separate trip to install it. (We had installed a high-mounted baby seat on the back of the bike, so it required a special bracket for the light. I had not bothered to tackle that myself.) I highly recommend this company and will not even bother with my neighborhood bike shop(s) again.
