I found this coffee shop by chance. The minute you walk in it feels refreshing and relaxing because of their open design concept and you get hit by lots of natural light.Herb & Alchemy’s theme is is crafted herbs and infused coffee and beverages which leads to an interesting house menu specials. I had the Moringa Matcha (cold) which was infused with my matcha [hope I got that one right] giving the drink an earthy relaxing feeling as you sip it; I really wish I lived near the shop... Herb & Alchemy is located in a very good neighborhood with lots of local shops so probably I will definitely comeback after strolling around on the weekends :)

Nice cappuccino, service is friendly and moderately quick. Prices gauged for the normal coffee shop. Only downside I saw was the mushroom sandwich was a *little* bland but still good overall.

Ordered a hot jasmine green tea with honey, I asked to add lemon and ginseng and to my surprise they actually didn’t have those ingredients… I don’t understand why a tea shop wouldn’t have ginseng or especially lemon??? I also ordered online because I was on my way to work but turns out it doesn’t even matter if u order online because there is no pick up counter so I had to wait in line for 8 minutes anyway just to pick up my order… but get this…. My order wasn’t even ready or started. Overall poor experience and I can’t believe they have the AUDACITY to call themselves a tea shop and don’t even carry essential tea ingredients like LEMON lmao

Loved it here. We came as a family with our 3 little kids after a long & failed search for a breakfast spot that didn’t have an extremely long wait or that was open, and even though at first we felt their breakfast options weren’t many from whatever was remaining in stock, we were very satisfied with everything we ended up getting as well the drinks, atmosphere & spectacular and welcoming customer service. Thank you so much. Would definitely come again if in the vicinity.

Stopped here for breakfast. Staff was lovely, the speciality drinks are perfectly made, and the food is phenomenal. It was pretty quiet here for a Sunday morning and very spacious for social distancing.

What can I say about this place?!?First off.... they NAILED the aesthetic! The decor and vibe couldn’t be cuter. They have Covid precautions in place and even allow for a walk-up sidewalk order window. I wish it wasn’t a pandemic because I would have loved to be able to sit at a table inside and enjoy the atmosphere, but I will return post-Covid and I’m sure it’ll exceed my expectations.Secondly.. the coffee and drink selection was very original and enticing. I got the Chakra Latte because.. I mean.... well... I just had to! I’ve never seen or heard of anything quite like it. It didn’t disappoint and I will 100% be ordering that drink again the next time.Do yourself a favor and come by. Do your loved one a favor and order something for them too. You can thank me later.

I’ve always wanted to stop in because I love the name of this coffee shop, and last week I finally had the opportunity to do so. When I walked in I was met with the gorgeous aesthetic of dark gray mixed with a golden hues and plants along many of the walls.It’s sun-soaked in the morning, and the sunniness was amplified by the kind employee who was working (didn’t get their name but it was Wednesday 6/16 right after open!). I was standing there with my mouth open looking at all the pastry options and he explained each one to me. I ended up selecting a lemon poppyseed scone, which looked incredible and tasted just as good, if not better, than I imagined. Not to mention it was gigantic!To drink I picked a seasonal iced latte called the H&A Cardamom Freddo Cappuccino, which contained cardamom espresso.I only got my items to go but can imagine that sitting in here to enjoy a coffee is highly enjoyable. Def stop in!

Went there once and I liked the vibe. I had a Moringa Matcha and I was given a sample before the order. It wasn’t sweet & I thought the quality was good. I also had a Banana Bread and it was very good! Customer service was great and the barista was very quick with orders and with answering questions. Will definitely go again!

Great coffee! I had the cherry beet latte coffee special and it was so great cold with the cherry being more dominate and when hot it was the beet that was stronger with was delicious!

This place is as magical as the name implies. The staff is extremely helpful and incredibly nice. It was our first visit and they walked us through the menu and made some great recommendations. The mocha with lavender or mint is spectacular and the cold foam cardamom cappuccino was delightful. Great atmosphere with well spaced tables easily more than 6 feet from each other. Cant wait to come back!

Always enjoy Herb & Alchemy. The iced coffee is excellent, the Mocha with lavender is unlike anything I’ve had before and I love it, and even seemingly simple drip coffee has an amazing infused flavor. The baked goods like the homemade pop tart and the blueberry muffin have always been great as well. Highly recommend!

A large space with good coffee and an average food selection.

Ive grabbed a spot here on the weekends when Ive had to catch up on work and love the atmosphere! The staff is super friendly and go above and beyond to help you out. They have some small bites to eat, which is nice when Im there for several hours at a time.

Herb & Alchemy is super cool and comfortable. The employees and owners are super involved and focused on making everything great. They have done such a great job making the space beautiful and making each drink special. The Holy Basil coffee is so interesting and different yet very drinkable and good! I am excited to see more items on the menu as they add stuff. It is such an addition to the neighborhood.Check out my picture of the restored floor.

Herb & Alchemy has a great relaxing atmosphere which is always clean and inviting to any visitor. The staff here are always friendly and come up with interesting coffee combinations that make it a must visit on a frequent basis.

Gorgeous local coffee joint in an awesome, highly-windowed little triangle of a building. Very comfortable seating, numerous outlets, & table space for your computer/books. Such a great addition to the neighborhood!

I tried a strawberry pop tart and mint mocha, and both were flavorful and delicious, and bonus for using real cacao in the mocha versus syrup--I often think mochas from other shops are much too sweet, even after I request fewer pumps, but Herb & Alchemys mocha was perfect. The staff working the day that I dropped in were very friendly and my order was ready quickly...thank you!!

Wow what a great coffee shop. I know it’s just getting up and running but they are killing it. Great coffee great people and such a warm and inviting atmosphere!! Having been to many of these shops around town this one is by far my favorite. Try it for yourselves but I am a fan and will continue to come here and I can’t wait to see how this place grows!!!

So excited this beautiful corner coffee shop came into the neighborhood! What a treat to have a Starbucks alternative. Everything is organic, i love my standard lattes for my commute to the brown line, but on a Sunday when i go there to sit and get some work done, i treat myself to the delicious holy basil pour over or the rosemary drip coffee. Love the atmosphere, very clean, open and inviting and I feel like it’s quiet enough to work and big enough to get a comfortable spot but when i take a break, i love the people watching since it’s on a corner with huge windows; and it’s constantly flowing without feeling crowded, it’s a good layout so it’s warm. Staff is great and I the owners seem genuine and warm. Hoping they do well, because it’s a great spot I’ll frequent often!

Delicious coffee and super nice and attentive barista all in a thoughtfully designed space. Highly recommend this recently opened coffee shop to those in the Lincoln Park area. Plus, there are vegan and gluten-free options.

As a person who works nearby, I have no idea why a business would have an Open House, then not open for a few weeks, and then when finally open, still have limited hours. What is the thought process to that? You are only open until noon on weekedays. Why? As a business owner myself, you need to rethink what you are doing, especially with the lovely new Coffee Lab only 1/2 block away. Youre not going to make it if you dont actually open and stay open!

Place was really clean, nice atmosphere and pretty good tea. I dont do coffee but husband had a pour over and he thought it was good. A little pricey but not bad; well come back and try something different.

Best cookies and matcha in the area! The staff has gone the extra mile to help me at least three times. Cozy.

If you live/work I the area, do yourself the favor of stopping in. Very healthy place to grab a quick bite and the best cappuccino in the city. The owner and the entire crew always have given incredible service.

I was excited to try this place. I didn’t realize their gimmick is to infuse everything with herbs. The problem is their base product - coffee - tastes like it came from a gas station urn.

Great spot for organic coffee and tea, but they also have really delicious herbal drink blends.

1) The workers look like genuinely do not enjoy their job. 2) Walked in with casual clothes on, got strange looks. 3) They use plastic straws.

Rosemary infused iced coffee was a revelation! Matcha latte was excellent too. Space is welcoming and cool; staff are too.

The coffee is super simple but everyone is nice and its an aesthetically pleasing place.

Herb & Alchemy is new to the northwest corner of Lincoln Park (at the corners of Lincoln, Diversey, and Racine). Ive been anxiously awaiting the opening as its so close to my home! Currently, they are operating with limited hours (6-12 on weekdays, 10-2 on weekends) for the next month or so - and then theyll be open 6AM-8PM daily.Very cute little place! Love the simple, interior colors and decor. Good vibes, upbeat music thats not distracting. Fiance tried the pour over (recommended) and I tried the Lavender Hot Chocolate (one of two specialty drinks they make and very tasty). Im looking forward to seeing how this place develops as it becomes established in the neighborhood.

I was really excited to try this place and get a ton of work done here. the location is stunning- simple, chic, and gorgeous. The service wasnt great- the barista didnt seem too interested in my questions. The prices are fairly high, but not unlike anything else in that area or all of Lincoln Park for that matter. I was excited to settle down and get my work done, but the WiFi wouldnt connect. I asked the barista about it, and he just said- It does that sometimes and didnt offer any help or suggestions. I waited a few minutes to see if the WiFi would ever work, and it did not. I had to leave. I was extremely disappointed in the experience overall, especially since I had packed work to do and also had made a special out of my way trip to come here and try this place out. I wound up going to a nearby competitor instead. Love small businesses and I was in the food industry for years so I get it, but fix your WiFi! Extremely frustrating.

Great place with a lovely environment and positive staff! As someone who frequents coffee shops around the Lakeview area to either work on tasks specific to my job or work on creative projects, I appreciate the above average power plug options, large windows, and great WiFi!! Additionally, I enjoy their creative coffee concept that has driven them to provide a product that limits the use of artificial flavorings. A friendly staff member gave me a sample of their rosemary coffee blend and I loved it! Also, as someone who is lactose intolerant, it’s great to see almond milk out on the counter as a creamer option!! Last but not least, I enjoy the current hours they chose to have their business open because it gives their staff and themselves time to enjoy their personal lives and collectively look over their business practices. Although this may not be their intention with the hours, I do appreciate it immensely and wish other businesses would adopt such a mentality. Amazing place!! Will return!! Try it out!!

I absolutely loved it here!! As soon as you walk in you can immediately sense the amount of thought and detail that went into the design. I was also pleasantly surprised to see that they had gluten free cookie options.They offered non dairy milk options which I was super happy about, as I can not have dairy. I also LOVED the brand of almond milk that they use- its called Malk, which is an incredibly clean brand. The sweeteners they have out include: high quality honey, truvia, and date syrup! I had never heard of date syrup but it was delicious and an amazingly clean sweetener (the only ingredients are medjool dates). If nothing else, its VERY apparent that they try to use as clean ingredients as possible here which is what I look for and appreciate most in a coffee shop. I am a huge huge huge fan!! I will definitely be back and wish nothing but continued success. I hope more coffee shops follow suit in the clean ingredient/product realm.

Its brand new with alot more additions coming real soon.The fresh real herbed coffee, miribga matcga, and the chai tea with real date syrup (sweetener) are simply delicious.Beautifully decorated, simple but inviting, and peaceful.The seats are really comfortable and the bar is a cool way to meet people.I highly recommend you check it out.

A wonderful and innovative corner coffee spot that has a wonderful selection of unique coffees and teas that blend... you guessed it... herbs and spices in a balanced and harmonious way. Very reasonable prices in my opinion compared to LA equivalents. The barista was super nice and allowed me to sample various drinks to make sure I got something I liked. Im in love with the Cardamom Freddo. Thanks so much Monica!
