Annoying sales associate. I had a terrible experience. Although I was the only customer in the store at the time, they kept rushing me to choose which ones Id like to try on, and then kept pestering me in the changing rooms. Only 30 seconds into the changing room, they asked if I was done changing, and kept pestering me every minute. They dont seem interested in helping you find the best kit for you, but rather just want to rush you through their sales funnel: choose quickly, try them on quickly, then ring up the register, pressuring you every step of the way.
I had low expectations after having poor experiences with high end bike shops and poor service/pompous attitudes but the folks at Rapha were super kind and also extremely helpful. Has a great experience and got some sexy looking threads.
Extremely knowledgeable and helpful staff. I had a flat tire and even though they do not normally provide tire repair, they repaired my tire without charge. I highly recommend this store for your cycling needs.

I hardly ever write reviews and almost never a negative review but I am compelled to write one due to my very disappointing experience at Rapha today. I was in the store today for a winter jersey and a tall young gentleman helped me. I believe his name was Matt. He let me try several of them and gave me feedback on fitting, form, sizing etc as I tried them on. I ultimately decided to wait and do some more research before getting one, and told him Ill be back later. As I was leaving, another jacket caught my eye. I was about to try it on when he came running and said do me a favor and stop trying at this point. I was taken aback by this sudden change of attitude as he was happily letting me try jackets just moments ago. I wanted to yell at him and say WTH, but didnt want to create a scene. I have honestly never experienced a more rude and more disrespectful customer service ever before. I dont believe Rapha Chicago store is interested in helping customers. They are only interested in making a quick sale. Its quite disappointing.
I spend money here every time I go and Ive even been to a few of their free clinics and used gear sales. The return policy is really good and their prices are about the same as most internet places. If youre used to shopping for outdoor gear at sport chalet or someplace like that then the prices will probably shock you I guess.
Always a great experience shopping at Rapha Chicago. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. Super simple process paying over the phone and doing same day store pick up. Be safe out there guys, appreciate the safe measurements.
I had received a beautiful hooded rain jacket from Rapha for my birthday, and I used it well for three years until I crashed, and a hole was torn in the jacket. I sent it back for repair, but unfortunately, it was not repairable damage. Philip helped me online, and I had an extremely good experience with their handling of the issue. Highly recommended, high quality clothing, with fantastic customer service.
My wife and I happened to stumble upon this shop while in town walking around Wicker Park. As a cyclist from Houston I was very excited to finally visit a Rapha shop in person. From the minute we walked in we were greeted very promptly, and Matt went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Seeing as my only experience with Rapha products were long-sleeved wool jerseys, he walked me through the perfect fit for a summer jersey and bibs. Easily one of the best experiences Ive had shopping at any kind of bike shop in the country. Look forward to hopefully visiting again with my bike for a group ride.
The brand & this shop are wonderful. The person helping me was extremely helpful, thoughtful, and patient when I was indecisive between two sizes. To my surprise they have an extensive archive sale with some wonderful old style products. A community feel, very friendly, and in a great location. I look forward to going back when I am in town next.
Great customer service, I have walked in to either browse or buy and they always treat you well. Their service is friendly and they take their time to explain about their products. They explain that they have bike rides and you do not need to be a pro at it. They also offer great coffee as well so just in case you want to stop by and try it.Their products are of good quality, got a nice jacket from them last time and feels nice. I also got a shirt that is casual and is well made.Will come back.
Huge in size for a Rapha... Great staff and the products are great...I ride more than most and appreciate the knowledgeable staff. (Coffee was great)

Boutique shop with a relaxed atmosphere. Sales associates are knowledgable and try to get you into the right kit for your style of riding. Prices are high but so is the quality.
Ive been an RCC member for quite some time, but this was my first visit to a clubhouse. Fantastic all around service, answered all my questions, but were not in my face. Michael particularly took good care of me. Even though I dont live anywhere close by, I would be tempted to return just for the experience and customer service.

What sets this store and brand apart from others is their approach. Rapha Chicagos staff has unrivaled knowledge of what you actually need for every riding condition and cycling activity. They will nudge you in the right direction and you can trust their judgement. The benefits of buying the clothing/accessories are numerous due to the uncompromised quality but the the real perk is the culture that the brand and staff will expose you to. I was a complete novice when I walked into this store and a year or so later I completed my first sanctioned race. How? Matt, Cody, Rod, Rory, et cetera, each cultivated my passion in cycling through group rides and social events. Being an RCC Member has taken my involvement to the next level and introduces you to other enthusiasts. Plus, my morning coffee run has been optimized with a quick stop at the clubhouse before the office.
