Wow can’t say enough about this cute cafe. So happy it’s opening still during Covid... they have some outdoor tables in case you want to sit and enjoy. A lot of options and affordable prices, don’t forget food for take out!Support your local business I highly recommend this location. My boyfriend said it’s the best iced coffee he’s ever had. The staff was so friendly, I’ll be back ASAP!!
My favorite place to get good California food. I enjoy it here because the food and service are excellent. The service is attentive here.
Awesome, local place tucked away with amazing coffee and tea, made-to-order breakfasts alongside an extensive menu of classics, and excellent service from super friendly people! Highly recommend!
Great lattes and breakfast, fast and friendly service, realistic pricing. Exactly what we were looking for. Wonderful!
Best smoothie ive had in a while. Highly recommended if youre near the planetarium and need a pick-me-up!
We were not disappointed, to say the least. We were greeted with a smile by the staff, and we felt very welcome.
They have reasonable prices and excellent food quality. Continue your excellent work.
Food was absolutely delicious and fairly priced for Chicago downtown! Definitely one of the best cafe options. Also my coffee was very smooth and they have a lot of flavor options, as well as special coffees and smoothies! Absolutely recommend.
A great place to grab a quick bite to eat! Has a quiet and quaint atmosphere and superb coffee and expresso. Everything was great and fresh!
Extremely high quality food cooked to a chefs perfection that is also reasonably priced.
Amazing place, delicious food, and wonderful staff. I wholeheartedly recommend it!!
About a 20 minute walk from the parking near the Field Museum. Stuffed blueberry french toast, fresh pressed green juice, and a full breakfast spread of potatoes + fruit + hashbrowns & cheese & over easy egg on an everything bagel. Staff was super welcoming and very sweet. Cute atmosphere with little stump stools at the bar and nice decor. Has a shared a bathroom with the laundromat.
Strawberry pancake was amazing! Nice people!
I adore this restaurant because it has such a wonderful atmosphere and delicious food!
I hate doing this but I waited nearly 30 minutes for a panini and it was missing several toppings - I asked for it to go and was late for work, simple sandwich and overpriced to be missing basic ingredients
I stumbled upon this place after the yolk place line discouraged me and I loved it so much I went back every remaining day of my trip. Such great food, smoothies and vibes that I will go back whenever I visit Chicago again.
Great breakfast spot just minutes from Museum Campus!
Super cute and charming cafe. Went for coffee but was blown away by the food!
Really great place with excellent food and drink. Highly recommend to anyone looking for casual dining.
Amazing staff and service, food and coffee is really fairly priced and tastes wonderful!!
I’ve been coming to Little Branch fairly frequently for about 18 months, usually to do some work or to study. It’s a cozy little cafe, the service is good and very friendly, the food is good (albeit a bit pricey), the coffee is strong and fresh, and refills are free. Its not the most gourmet shop in town, but it’s a great place to grab a bite and/or spend some time.
Little Branch Cafe is a hidden gem! It had a really lovely atmosphere away from the bustle of the city but in the perfect location. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Our family stopped in for lunch and had the turkey sandwich, blackened chicken sandwich, a veggie panini, and a burger - all of it was delicious and even got the approval of two picky kids! I didn’t get to try their drinks but they looked delicious. I appreciated the water flavored with fruits.
This little gem of a cafe in south loop is perfect for my breakfast treat!!
Great pancakes. Not a lot of seating, so be prepared to wait or to sit at the bar (which we did).
Great breakfast sandwiches and coffee, and friendly service.
Excellent local Cafe, friendly staff and good tasty basic food.
Their prosciutto and fig jam panini is a fave!
The western omelette was amazing and the parrot smoothie is fantastic.
Staff was super welcoming and very sweet. Cute atmosphere
Little Branch Cafe is my favorite breakfast and lunch spot in the South Loop! The owner and her staff are amazing. The ambiance is wonderful and the food and beverages are so delicious. I highly recommend this sweet spot!
Absolutely love this place. I have never had a bad meal. Food is delicious and staff is so friendly. Love it!
Great food
Delicious food prepared fresh to order with plenty of choice and coffee was great too.
We come to Brunch Cafe from the day of its inception. I often see the owner there attending to make sure everyone is taken care off. Food is incredibly good. I think it is too good, so I try to indulge only saldom.
Great food, Great location, and the service was amazing.. The people are extremely nice. Definitely will come again if Im ever back in Chicago!
Pretty good food for great price in Chicago. I got the southwest salad and liked it fine. The coffee is unexpectedly phenomenal, and has free refills. The service was casual but extradinarily pleasant and helpful.
I like this place. A great neighborhood cafe. If I lived in the neighborhood Id probably come here regularly, but nothing special enough about it for me to make the trip from outside the neighborhood on any regular basis.Good food, made fresh, good staff, good coffee. Just nothing outstanding or special.Good, quality place. If youre in the neighborhood, make the stop!
We stopped on a Friday morning as it was nearby the Adler Planetarium we were going to that day. This is an order and pay up front, seat yourself kind of place. Waitstaff was very friendly, even after my 8 year old broke a bottle of hot sauce all over the floor. Food was good. My husband tried something new - Lox platter - and he loved it. I had a couple bites - excellent! Everything else our group ordered was good as well. No kids menu, but not real necessary for breakfast. I wish I could go back and try other items on the menu that looked good! They also had wonderful tasting water from a serve yourself water dispenser, infused with watermelon, oranges and I think mint - maybe something else too. Neat!
Food was amazing! Good portions, loved my breakfast burrito! The only exception to the good portions thing was the side of home fries. That was small and Id not advise getting it. But the burrito and the breakfast sandwich my friend had were both excellent.
I love this cafe!! Great coffee and lattes, smoothies (try the Toucan!), sandwiches, and more. This is a family-owned business with great service, great food and drinks, and a great ambiance.
Came here for breakfast on a brief vacation in the city. Highly recommend!!! I tried lox for the first time and it was so good. My boyfriend had the Nutella and banana pancakes and they were delicious. The fresh squeezed orange juice is a must try! It is like drinking a perfectly ripe orange through a straw. I will definitely revisit in future trips.
It was honestly the best food Ive ever had in my entire life.
Nice little place
My family and I ate here, and we loved everything about it. The restaurant itself is clean and has a nice atmosphere, the service wasn’t bad at all, and the food is some of the best I’ve had in Chicago. My family loved every dish and drink we ordered. They have a great selection of foods, the portion sizes are great, and the prices are good compared to most Chicago restaurants. Definitely earned all five stars.
A hidden gem with quality food, and less crowds. It is off the hidden path and really designed more for the residents than the tourists. Reasonable prices, and good service.
I’ll try not to be too biased in this review because we share the same building, but this is a really good little cafe.If you’re ever downtown on a Sunday morning, you know how packed some of the city breakfast/brunch places can get. This little place is off the beaten path and is hardly ever packed to the gills with diners. The breakfast selection is your usual fare of omelettes, frittatas, French toast, breakfast sandwiches, etc. Most of these come with a side of home style potatoes or fruit. They also have a daily selection of quiches that are very good as well.My most minor of criticisms is that they don’t have an a la carte option for pancakes. Their omelettes come with a side of fresh fruit and nothing else. This is fine, but I enjoy a side of pancakes sometimes with my eggs but I’m completely unwilling to pay an extra $9 for a whole stack of pancakes. Please consider adding this option and I will be completely happy :)
This place I think deserves 4.5 five stars more than the 4 stars i could give it. The prosciutto and fig jam panini was excellent paired with the tomato, basil soup. The staff was kind, patient and made for a wonderful experience. Would gladly go again, as the menu was full of great food options.
On yet another real estate mission, I visited Little Branch Cafe with a colleague for breakfast on a recent morning. We were hungry for caffeine and a good solid meal to start our day. Little Branch was amazing! The coffee was fresh and the breakfast sandwiches second to none. The ambiance was just perfect to eat and converse without too much hustle and bustle around us. This is a terrific neighborhood staple that serves the needs of a terrific community in Museum Park. Highly Recommended.
This was such a nice place to stop after a stressful flight to the city. It was a very calm atmosphere with lots of variety of choices. Prices werent too bad considering the location. They also had fresh cucumber and fruit water out, which I loved.
Great food, Great location, and the service was amazing.. The people are extremely nice. Definitely will come again if Im ever back in Chicago!
Great find in Chicago, just south of Grants park. Friendly staff and great food. Enjoyed the chorizo and egg plate
Very good sandwiches. Fast service and not too expensive. Large area inside for sitting.
Good spot, hidden away from the rat race. They do good coffee and have a good range of food. Nice and sunny in the afternoons. Great local to have nearby
Good food!!
Super good pancakes. Great service and so nice to have a neighborhood place to just relax. Service is really good and friendly.
Food was quick to come out. Coffee was good, food was hot! Food was a little bland, I had to add pepper to everything to get any sort of taste. Boyfriend says the nutella and banana waffle was fresh and good without syrup.
This is a great place to eat & it is with in walking distance of the Museums. The food tasted great, the portions were pretty good sized & the way the food was presented was a happy little work of art in itself. It shows the people here Love what they do. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Quick and friendly service. Portion sizes were good for the price.
This place was awesome. I got the chorizo breakfast and my girlfriend got the breakfast burrito. Service was quick and friendly and they food was great. We both ate our food too quickly to take pictures. Highly recommend.
Great hidden gem!
Best cafe in Chicago. Great service and amazing food and drinks!!
Really good breakfast spot. They have amazing burritos. Top tier, I highly recommend them. Delicious.
Extensive choice of food and drinks, with excellent customer service. The coffee was really good, the smoothies scrumptious, and the meat and eggs breakfast was on point! Would recommend!
Decent food
This cafe is very small, but has breakfast and lunch food. Theyre very quick at preparing the food. I ordered a pancake with ice cream. It wasnt on the menu, but theyll make what you want.
Food was not great, and the service was very disappointing. The fries were stale and they didnt get the order right. It was a lot of waiting for mediocre food way to expensive for its quality. I would not recommend this place and would definitely not come back again.
Little Branch Cafe has new owners! and Little Branch Cafe 3.0 is fantastic. Please give it a whirl. It is family-owned and run by a family with over 20 years of experience in the restaurant business. The team is so committed and dedicated to ensuring you have a great experience. Ive been here at least 5 times since theyve opened and have been very pleased with the high quality of their offerings. They aren’t stingy with the portions, either. I love their omelets, smoothies, lattes, soothing chais, juices, etc. This is a great place to meet a friend and linger. The owners are so kind and welcoming, too. I appreciate owners that build bridges and community in the SL. We need more connectors in our world.
Food was fresh and delicious. Counter order with table service. Smoothies were fresh and yummy! Counter staff was very friendly and prompt. Prices were reasonable. Great fresh choice.
Cutest little place within walking distance of my apartment. I loved the breakfast burrito and the fig jam panini. Coffee is top notch. Ive had both the hot chai and cold as well and both are amazing.
So yum! We wanted a local coffee shop during our vacation and this place was absolutely perfect! Our breakfast sandwiches were delicious and fit for a foodie! Coffee was awesome as well and everything felt affordable!
Excellent service and very friendly staff! Coffee wasnt burnt and the food was fresh! Very reasonable for Chicago!
My french vanilla cappuccino was made in a snap! I really liked the drawings on the walls. The music was very nice. It feels like youre in a fancy café. The only thing I didnt like was that the place doesnt have enough character and decor, its too modern looking
I had a wonderful lunch here, even though I had strawberry pancakes, its a wonderful small shop with amazing coffee, the kitchen is nearby so you can smell everything they cook, and the pancakes were superb!I would definitely return.
Cute coffee and brunch joint. Good service!
Quaint restaurant within easy walking distance to the museum campus. A nice way to start your day.
Cute little cafe brunch spot. It is a little hidden gem of the downtown area, but a great find in my book. Worth checking out for brunch or lunch.
Lovely hidden cafe. We stopped in for coffee and it was excellent.
The old-fashioned French toast is incredible. On occasion, it has taken a little bit of time to serve but this stuff is a divine creation and well worth the wait. Have had various coffee drinks and had always enjoyed them. Highly recommend it
