Never go here! The pharmacist is rude. I came from the hospital on crutches in chronic pain, with 30 minutes before closing and she originally refused to fill my prescriptions. She then bartered with us to fill 1 and made us go to another location for the rest. This was not a Karen situation, it was utter desperation dealing with chronic pain. There has also been issues in regards to filling prescriptions. Lying about prescriptions being ready when they are not and extremely poor communication around chronic pain medicine. They haven’t notified me nor my PCP office of issues. I’ve had to do sooooo much extra work to get my medicine while I’m in chronic pain. The pharmacist also called to “explain” two medications that had potentially deadly interactions. I repeatedly told her I didn’t understand the verbiage/terms she was using and what it meant, yet she continued to repeat the EXACT SAME THING over and over and over. I finally gave up, because thankfully I have a pharmacist in my family who actually has patient counseling skills. My partner and I have continually received the same, “sorry we can’t help you,” excuse in various situations where they could. The last time they lied about pain medicine being ready, they didn’t even offer to look at other CVS locations that did have the count I needed for my Rx. Once again it was, “sorry we can’t help you.” Which was another lie, because they had once before….My pharmacist family member has been mortified at the extremely poor level of care I’ve received. Stay away from this location, or be prepared to do a ton of self advocating and all of the work. Especially don’t expect empathy, proper counseling, or professional conduct! If I didn’t have a pharmacist in my family, I would have been at such a loss on so many occasions!
This place doesnt bother to keep stock of their ice cream. I was there today and there was almost no options for Ben and Jerrys Ice Cream. I legit asked the employee there if the store was closing down since it looked so odd having a empty freezer of ice cream. The employee said it was a vendor issue. I know this isnt true because every other store in the area has plenty of Ben and Jerrys ice cream. I wont be coming to this location again, and will opt for the 711 or Marianos in the area for ice cream.
I cannot stress enough how much I hate this pharmacy. Multiple times over the course of my partners chronic pain experience we have had to go here and been stonewalled by the incompetent pharmacist.Between being told she wouldnt fill vital medications, despite it being over 30 minutes before closing, to randomly being told without warning that they were out of stock when I went to pick up,.instead of being told before our doctors office closed so we could pick it up elsewhere. Dont get your meds here.
Nice clean and tidy corner location. Bank of America ATM across the street. Near Wendys. Parking lot is covered but tight with 4 structural columns in the way. Pharmacists and techs always helpful, knowledgeable but harried. Regular and Senior strength flu shots administered there. Aisles are narrower compared to other stores.Photo services can be expensive, look for coupons...Selection of goods is okay. Recommend.
The best pharmacy techs. made getting a COVID shot a super easy, informative and comfortable process.
After a negative experience at the Foster/Broadway location, I decided to try this CVS because of its glowing reviews on Google. It did not disappoint! The experience here was honestly night and day. I was immediately greeted in a friendly tone upon arriving, quickly found my items, and checked out successfully on the first try. I will come to this location for all of my CVS needs from here on out.
I walk to this location when they call me to pick up my meds. When you sign up for their Extra Care preferred card. Its free. When they have sales in CVS you can send the coupons to your card online. And sign up for points on the same card. The pharmacy has automatic caller and they let me know that I have a prescription that is ready to be picked up or they can tell me that I have no more refills,Can they notify my Dr.??. I like that they are checking on my well being. And I need reminders once a month.
Almost as disappointing as my boyfriend
By far the best CVS Ive ever been to! Ive been living in the neighborhood for the past 3 years and go to this location at least once, if not twice, a week. The customer service is wonderful! Everyone is so nice, sincere, and helpful. They are quick to open up more registers when lines form. THANK YOU GUYS FOR BEING AS WONDERFUL AS YOU ARE! (Side note, pharmacy though is meh)
My wife realized she forgot her medication on our way from Detroit to Chicago. Not only did the employees at this pharmacy work hard to get us a refill after our PC physicians office was closed but made it seem like no big deal. They were very courteous, kind, and friendly. If I lived in Chicago, Id gladly give them my business.
Great staff with everything you need to get through the day.
Pharmacy staff does whatever they can to make getting your medication more difficult. The location on Broadway and Foster has never given me any issues and I usually have to pull my prescription from this location to go to that one. Much nicer staff and the people really care about their customers. Make the extra drive and avoid this location at all costs. Havent had a pleasant experience here once if the male pharmacist isnt in.
Amazing place for fast and friendly service
Pharmacist told me my medication was 600+ dollars when it was in fact not. I went to another CVS where I was able to fill my prescription without a problem. I was livid because I had waited a few days before my second attempt and because I did not have my medication I had fallen ill. never going back. pharmacist workers need to learn to read and use computer properly.
I wish I could give more stars because customer service is pretty good. Unfortunately their sale items are out of stock too often, which is very frustrating. I have found the Damen/Irving location to be more reliable. By the way, this CVS does not sell liquor.
Husband and I came here to buy some toiletries. Walked passed the pharmacy and a blue squishy ball landed on his foot. Now, obviously it didnt hurt but akst hit a little old lady in the head. The pharmacy tech laughed and finally apologized after my husband said something. The pharmacist at the register didnt even blink an eye. He just said wasnt me. During the entire enchange. Not a single person of the 4-5 people in the pharmacy, included the pharmacist, intervened. If a manager had been on the floor, we would have complained while there. But, there was no one on the floor. Only the cashier up front. He was super nice and helpful. This happened on 5/31/2019 about 3:40pm
Checkout staff always so friendly. They deserve extra perks from management. I go in often as its right down the street for me. I really appreciate the extra effort.
Pharmacy no longer takes one of the most popular PPOs in existence. I have received NO notification of this and didnt find out until I tried to refill a MONTH after not having my prescription (I was on automatic refills; they point blank stopped refilling them automatically; unfortunately I forgot; usually this was a big reminder). Very unprofessional.Marianos nearby took the transfer not only immediately BUT also filled my prescription in half an our on the spot without me even asking. If you are looking for a new pharmacy AVOID CVS LIKE THE PLAGUE and simply walk down the street to Marianos.EDIT: Come to find out CVS also charged A LOT more than other pharmacies. How much more...? Try nearly 4 TIMES the amount for the same prescription (absolutely not an exaggeration; exact amount 66.4% off... from $8 down to only $2.69). Should have signed up with Marianos a long time ago. So EVEN IF CVS STILL TAKES YOUR INSURANCE, IT WILL BE MORE EXPENSIVE THERE BY A LONG SHOT!!!
Its a CVS. Its clean and well stocked.
The staff is so nice especially jarion he needs a raise he has been the most helpful and positive out of all the staff he is always greeting people with a smile and never has a nasty attitude he never fails to be nice and kind I hope you see this please give him a promotion or raise
Nice friendly staff ready to help but i have a question hiw do you prevent people stealing
This CVS has the nicest customer service of any major chain store of any sort. Im always pleased to go in, as weird as that may sound.
Lawrence and Damen CVS pharmacy is just great. They always go out of their way to find what you need.
Always very, very nice and always helpful...
Cvs pharmacy on Damen and Lawrence has excellent customer service always.I l live across the street from this Cvsand have lived here for over 17 years. My family and I along with many Ravenswood area families appreciate how Clean, very well managed, consistently well stocked this store is. friendly!🙂
Standard city CVS. I shop here because I constantly get deals on my CVS card and live right across the street. Lines are usually long and no alcohol at this location. Otherwise has all the staples.
Great but not well stocked
Go on the first few days of their sales or else those items will be gone by mid-week. This store tend not to restock their sale items.
We had a really bad experience with a rude pharmacist. We have spent thousands upon thousands of dollars, doesnt seem to matter!
Wish I could still use their pharmacy!
Pharmacy staff is awful.
Occasionally smells like a septic tank, but this IS Uptown were talking about. Friendly staff.
