This storage place is horrific. Its dirty, the front desk lady Leah is not customer friendly. Spends time on her cell phone while you wait. I spent 1 month there storing my deceased mothers belongings. I went by to grab a few things and there were dead mice. Poop and pee Everywhere SO MANY ITEMS DESTROYED! Like her antique dolls, and her death certificate. When I approached management they admitted to having these issues in the past and offered me a rat trap. Nothing more. Not their problem she said. DO NOT RENT HERE!! You will be sorry

Super nice people and great rates. We kept our RV there a few months. No problems. It is gated and time restricted for the office but a really nice storage area. Easy to park our RV.

Friendly and courteous with excellent, quick service! Only storage in Chico Ca that is helping those affected by the campfire, while others are price gouging victims. Wonderful folks that truly care with great, very secure storage units.

We were returning a U-Haul and got it stuck in the mud right outside the return spot, it was pouring rain. Awful. BUT it was our own fault. Leah was patient with us, helped us try to get it out, and gave us time to call a friend who helped us get it out of the mud instead of charging us for towing. What would have been a nightmare ended up being okay because of her patience and kindness. Five stars for customer service!

Secure facility which makes it great for storing your stuff.

The lady whom I worked with was great! So nice and friendly. Unfortunately, the storage area is not so great. The unit given to me had a few boxes and some miscellaneous items left behind. The back wall was not secure and there was a 1-4 inch gap that ran from top to bottom allowing me to see into the other storage unit.The front desk lady was very nice and processed a refund.

I rented here for just about 2 years.. I would suggest this facility if you are looking for storage.. I personally did not have any problems renting here! When I moved out, I rented a u-haul and received excellent service..

My experience is with the self storage on Contractors Lane. The management there is very nice although I do pay my bill early and adhere to all rules. If you want a secure storage with reasonable rent and a very chill manager you should check it out.

As one other review stated this place is horrible! Went to get some stuff and DRIED RAT FECES/PEE ON EVERYTHING and we dont have insurance on it so its our fault it happened? Basically paid for our belongings to get 1/4 ruined.....since they have no responsibility to store your stuff safely for you or maintain the property better its YOUR OWN RESPONSIBILITY?!?!?!?!?!? Makes no sense they can not be liable for at least $250 or some kind off insurance THEY have to pay not you, sure if you need a high dolled amount covers I can see having to get insurance for it but not if it some small furniture items,pictures, stuffed animals and other small things. Anyways rent somewhere cleaner and sealed up better and dont forget to get your rental insurance no matter how little you have SMH what a joke!

Very cordial, and helpful owners. Onsite presence 24/7, gate on combination lock, and keyed entry to units, so I feel the security is good! I dont think the bad reviews are accurate!

I have been over a 10 year customer. Yes my things are safe. I have paid every rate hike for over 10 years without ever making a comment letbalone a complaint. Today for the first time I call and ask if I could have a break as a loyal customer for this years rate hike., and what do I get get, the politically correct answer... We are raising everyones for competition reasons. Really competition!!!! What happened to loyalty and people that pay their bills on time and never for 10 years ask for anything. ...how can you tell me whats too much, you dont pay my bills I do... I ask you pass my message on to the owner and you say .Im not gonna do that.... Well as an owner of my own business I would want to know if I had a loyal 10 year customer upset....I can only assume that all that matters to you as an owner is money....in my business customer service is most important!!!!

This place is disgusting, they have mice and will not notify anyone or do anything for the problem. They claim no responsibility to keep you informed of any problems or to rectify them. Will never use again.

Nice place and the people are kind

I rented from this place for 1 month. When I went to the unit to pickup a couple of items I discovered rodents had destroy most of the items stored. There was pee/poop everywhere, what they missed soiling they chewed up. I lost almost everything in the unit. Now Im tasked with turning in an insurance claim through my homeowners policy for my loss. Obviously the owners know they have an infestation.... I would rate this a zero if I could!

To whom it may concern,I have rented from U-Haul over the years and have always had fair and efficient experiencse with professionals who know their job. That was not my experience this time around. I originally reserved a 15ft truck and auto transport for 600 Country Lane in Chico, CA. to haul my belongings and car to Vista, CA. However, that location was changed to Airport Storage 3158 Thorntree Dr, Chico, CA. Although I was called twice prior to picking the truck and trailer up, it was not hitched up when I got there. No problem, I have been to locations and they hitched it up quickly with out an issue. I arrived at this location and the rep was having computer issues, asked me the same questions over and over as if he wasnt listening to me. Again considering the fact that he was new, I patiently waited. As both the rep and facility manager bumbled through the computer and subsequent printer issues, we proceed out to the yard to get the truck and hitch the trailer. Then he hits me with it. He has NO EXPERIENCE hitching a trailer. This guy then tells me that although hes NEVER hitched a trailer to a truck, we could figure it out together This was extremely upsetting for me as I was traveling about 600 miles from one end of California to the other, through El Nino rain and over the Grapevine along I-5 and the last thing I wanted to do was figure it out This rep then could not effectively guide me back to hitch the trailer myself and I eventually got it hitched and needed assistance as to where the chains go. Again, no help. So I YouTubed it in the pouring rain and finally felt comfortable enough to drive it over to the Country Lane location to have REAL professionals take a look at it. Brent, the assistant manager looked at it an said it looks good and I had him inspect a questionable tire. Brent felt it was good, so I proceeded on my trip. Brent and his staff were very helpful. So as I start out my journey, I find that the windshield wipers on the truck were noisy and worn, but alas, I made my destination. Im disappointed in Uhaul for changing my location from an established, professional location to a storage location which happens to rent trucks and transports. The chains on the transport were rusted and one tire should have been changed since it was already understood at reservation that I would be traveling over 600 miles.
