This is actually a nice Ralphs overall, though I have been burned on their basil plants twice now. Each dying within 12 hours of purchase with the stems having root rot. I even tried repotting the second one to see if I could revive it. Out of 8 plants, this was the best they had and it’s still garbage. Moral of story: don’t buy plants from a grocery store.

Love this Ralph’s! It’s so clean and pleasant to Shop in. Everything is always nicely stocked & easy to find. No long waits either they truly know how to treat their customers & will go the extra mile to make sure your experience is hassle free!

I walked in but it was so dark. I took off my sunglasses and started to sing at the top of my lungs I can see clearly now, the chickens gone. Not only was it brighter, but they didnt have thechicken wings we went there for. I did a spin, a twist, and mash potatoed myself out the door. I saved time by ordering Panda Express online, drove to Grasshopper during the 20 minute way, then scooped up that bomb Beijing Beef and all the good things. Walked in the side door, food was ready, headed home, grubbed it up and enjoyed the rest of my night. But it all started with this Ralphs location, and I give that whole night 5 stars.Edit: Went back this morning, shouted No Wings? And as it turned out, still no chicken wings. 5 stars though for consistency.

Last year due to the pandemic lockdowns starting on his day of, my son didnt get to celebrate his First so we took him TWO THE MOON this year with space theme. The store is always very clean and well stocked. The meat counter, bakery and deli workers are very nice and courteous. The checkers are nice. The only thing that bothers me is there is no common sense when bagging. Dont put cans on top of bananas and avocados that are very expensive. Dont put MEAT or Chicken with fresh produce...nasty.

Located in the Friars road shopping center. Layout is easy to navigate. Employees are available. Milk and child juices are low stocked. Self serve moves quickly. Kosher products are available.

My wife purchased gatorade from this store we both got sick, there was no expiration date on the product after got sick and started have symptoms. This is not helping the community when we are already dealing with COVID 19. We are giving Ralphs a chance to explain themselves before we contact USDA and FDA and the city of Chula Vista Health department, please be cautious.

I see why they have the worst customer service cause the manager, Marlette is very rude and unaccommodating. I asked about a purchased and she argued on the phone. I told her pls check and she put me in hold and hung up. I called back to make sure she checked the price and I was overcharged. I told her for a manager, shes horrible at customer service.

I always find parking. I like that they have a variety of ready to eat lunches and dinners. Everything is easy to find. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

So we went super early since I needed some stuff and I got a gallon of milk with a coupon register just saw it and took it off and did not use it...she did not have a great attitude...I get we have all bad days but she works at a store she should of gave Customer service better...and I believe she was a manager or something...never again will I go yo this ralphs.

The employees at Ralphs about 3 blocks up from the Veterans Home Chula Vista are incredible. They are so helpful, so kind and they treat me wonderful. I would recommend them to anybody who wants to go to a grocery store where the employees will help you with anything you need. Theyre incredible and if youre smart you got a great team. Treat them well and pay them enough to where they want to stay. They all seem to be happy being there you can just tell by watching them. Since the star wont light up when I touch it I not only give them a 5-star rating but I give them a 10 star rating.God bless you all, and Jesus loves you!

I love shopping at this location. Each and every time I find what I am looking for at a reasonable price. Carmen the cashier is the very best. She always asks if I found everything that I was looking for and if I didnt shell make sure its found. Her personality is very warming.

They are so clean. I love their cupcakes but they dont restock the bakery often. I do like the environment but what brings the score down so much is how poor the vegetables are. I buy veggies there for salads every few days. I always have to really search for good produce. Its always rotten and/or slimy. Even newly placed veggies are rotten or extremely wilted. Its unfortunate. Who ever you are buying from is Definately not living up to par. You need to tell them to give you better produce. Onions, peppers, lettuce.. Even apples...its on going but youre the closest store.

This is a great store to shop at Angela that works in the seafood department at Frys to fish oh my goodness she will make you want to start eating fish the moment you put it in your cart shes excellent in customer service in the Seafood and Meat Department she brings Seven Stars to the department and the store and also Ruben front end manager hes excellent to everyone should be able to have employees like these two employees they bring the very best of Excellence 2 the store thank you for them being there above all five stars is nowhere near the rating they deserve they deserve 21 stars and red carpet rolled out for them because they roll the red carpet out for each customer that they serve and help Ralphs is truly blessed to have them as employees.

I have always loved this store. The only problem I have, is that they took out that fabulous make your own salad bar!! They had EVERYTHING you could possibly want in your salad. But, as far as I know, they took the salad bar out!☹☹☹. The customer service is awesome and everyone is super friendly!! I used to live right up the street, but have to drive a little farther now. I dont get to the store very often anymore. But, I like the store a lot.

I ordered a cake on Monday for Wednesday pick up and they made exactly what I ordered. I paid $13 for a 8 double layered marble cake with chocolate frosting. I think thats a bargain. Not to mention everyone loved the cake. It was perfectly moist. The Ralphs employees that helped me were very friendly.

This is still one of the Best markets around. The staff is knowledgeable and very pleasant. The produce is always fresh and the meat department is out of this world. The hot deli is always stocked with fresh chicken hand and homemade salads..The soup is fantastic as well. Thisnis the place to shop

Ralphs is racist, they profile and discriminate. I used the Western Union and I was told that my CA drivers license was not sufficient and I also needed my social security card. Never before anywhere in the country have I EVER been asked for my social security card for a Western Union transaction. I asked was this a Western Union policy or a Ralph’s policy. And I was given some round about answer. Unfortunately life is too busy to tackle every time you feel injustice or discrimination. I went solely to go to the pharmacy, but Ive always liked shopping at Ralphs. There are things sold there that I cant find easily at other grocery stores. Sometimes it feels a little pricey, but you get what you pay for.The pharmacy staff is awesome. Two thumbs up!

I usually come here and the one in alta view it depends where I plan to stay. but my experience on my last visit was a little not so satisfied customer. at first I have to look around for a plastic bag due to all of the roll are empty. manager was helpful and noticed it right away. Store is clean and they have a good variety of items.

The best in Ralph is that they fry the fish for you ready to make fish tacos! Love their meat quality and of course the fruits are always fresh!

I come here all the time. The selection of craft beer is good too! Always cold. The pricing of the food seems high though compared to Carnival off 3rd Avenue.

I was totally dissatisfied with the deli. The customer service was great but the food was old, stale and watered down. The soups were crusty and dried out. When I called the manager to share the info so she could check for the freshness of cheese & cold cuts, she all but called me a liar and wasnt interested at all. I didnt want someone else to have a bad experience. It was a complete waste of time and money. I will not be shopping there again.

Favorite Ralphs in the Chula Vista area. They are always clean, and fully stocked. They have quality meat and good prices. I wish there were more Ralphs in Chula Vista to be honest.

Went in the day before Thanksgiving. I expected long lines and a crowd. There were a lot of people in the store but the lines were all open and quick. I only go there when I need something and cant find it anywhere else. Because I live across town. It was totally worth the drive.

Certain staff at self checkout and cashiers are not friendly. At self checkout, I had 1 coupon and the lady with the ponytail gave major attitude. She said, What?! Um.. News flash its only your job to take the coupons and I only had one. Ive seen her working self checkout several times. Lucky for her I ignored her bad attitude.Next incident at a cashier checkout, the lady said coupons cannot have the same barcode. FYI newspaper coupons all have the same barcodes regardless if you have multiples.For a nice grocery all their carts look super old and used.I will say the staff that stock the shelves have been very helpful and friendly every time I ask for help.

I just purchased a few things on the self checkout and when I was ringing up my things, I accidentally clicked on the wrong picture for the item. I called over the employee LISA to help me and when she was helping me she had an attitude and rolled her eyes and huffed and puffed, which was very rude! I dont no what her deal was, but she needs to be more friendly.

I absolutely love Ralphs!! I used to shop at Vons, and the people were always glum and moody! I go to Ralphs and everyone is cheerful and very helpful. Always asking if I need any help or if I was finding everything. I want to give koodos to two particular people: Jose R and Pam. Very friendly and helped with setting up the mobile app for ralphs on my phone!!! I will never leave Ralphs!!!!

UPDATED REVIEW 11/27/2019:Very disappointed in Ralphs Thanksgiving packages that they were selling. My wife and I visited Ralphs on 11/21/2019 and filled out the form for a Thanksgiving pre-cooked Turkey Dinner with all the trimmings but we were unsure about the prime rib $12.99 per lb option that was on the same form. We asked the young man that was there at the deli and he said that we shouldnt worry about the prime rib that we should just come back the following week and pick it up + the turkey order that I described here. He took the form and as suggested that there was no need to check the prime rib option on the form. One day later I didnt feel confident about the young mans story and proceeded to go back to Ralphs to confirm his story. Another older man confirmed the following day that we were OK with our order and that we should just pickup the turkey dinner and prime rib on 11/27/2019. So we left and believed what we were told only to be disappointed on 11/27 one day before thanksgiving when we were told that they were out of prime rib and they only had the Turkey part of our order. This was not what we discussed and were told. Because of this we had to scramble and try to find additional pre-cooked food as we were short because of the prime rib fiasco. Thanks to Ralphs our Thanksgiving event was almost ruined. We were thankful we found another place to get our food literally less than 24 hours before our family was to arrive. Never trusting Ralphs with our Thanksgiving dinner again. It is obvious that they have a process issue since 2 people in their deli department confirmed that everything was ok in 2 separate dates before Thanksgiving. Only reason they are getting 2 stars is because what we got was good food but it was incompleteOLDER REVIEW:This is the Ralphs supermarket that is located just across the street from our house.
