Edgar, the guy that does notary at the store is incompetent, rude and useless. This store is a rip off. They wanted to charge me $62 to send a letter to Canada. The post office charged me $1.30. There is no excuse for such high prices and disrespectful service. There is a reason why this store has an overwhelming amount of negative reviews. Total scam. Avoid at all costs.
The worst they lost my items several times. I will not recommend it . They tell you something over the phone and something completely different in person.
They tried to RIP ME OFF, Beware! These people charged me $22 to print out a 17 page document in black and white. I always go to the UPS stores to print my invoices and documents and Im SHOCKED these people are this desperate for business they rather rip off their customers. I recommend Print Mart which is only 1/4 mile away. Stay away from this UPS Store.

I love this branch of ups they are always friendly and I take my returns from Amazon here for drop off, they make it fast and easy! They carry a good variety of packing and shipping products and are very helpful. They also offer private mailboxes at a fair price.
This has got to be the store who has the rudest employees. Especially the bald skinny guy, he’s in the worst mood ever!! Every time I visit, it never fails!! RUDE!

The owner was the only problem solver and was was able to help me with an issue... Unfortunately, his lady employee was not skilled enough to do so including the manager. Im sorry but he had a bad attitude during a transaction. This bad experience will not make me change my service elsewhere. I will give them a chance, but idk for how much longer. I would give lower rating but there rating is already low, so I just let that speak for themselves.

I have been here in California 6 weeks and own a business and my own product line. I have spent tremendous amount of money shipping to my customers. An employee told me about the house account that is on the UPS site where you can pay weekly or monthly for shipping but I was not aloud to open up an account initially just giving the run around with setting up the account but the last day I will ever spend my money here. I will take it to another store that will honor the House account. The service over the six weeks I have been in California its been satisfactory.

Ceasar says hes been here for 17 years. I dont know how you can treat your customers bad, misstate or lie about government ID policy, and keep your job. I will ensure that my company does not use this location for services ever. I should have read the reviews first. Avoid this location cause they even try to be retaliatory when they get a complaint. You only need ONE photo ID and a secondary ID such as a utility bill or piece of mail to get a box service started. Not worth the trouble!
WARNING>>> About mail boxes at this UPS STORE #5244. I recently paid for a mailbox for 12 months. I ordered some stuff on Amazon. I picked up four packages after they arrived four days prior. I was charged $18 storage fee for TWO DAYS of storage, at $2.00 a piece. There is apparently a two day grace period to pick up, on my contract. I’m glad I did not wait two weeks to pick up.I did get emails from this store, to pick up my boxes, but they never mentioned penalties or fees.Previously, I have used three other UPS stores, and have never was been charged a storage fee. If you really need to get a mail box, I would recommend the UPS Store on 591 Telegraph, as they are TOP SELF, and have used them for over four years.Because I still have 12 months on my contract, I’m going to stack my packages (Amazon, Ebay and Fedex) and have them delivered to a friend’s house, and keep my inconsequential mail at this store, until it expires. And instead, will take my friend out to lunch for the favor.Attached are exhibits. I had four packages, and supposedly they charged me nine times, instead of eight (2 days (at $2.00) X 4 packages should equal $16)? They must be desperate for donations.
The service provided everytime I stepped into the store is excellent, everyone is so helpful and friendly, even in those horrible busy days Im always welcome with kindness.
Always have to pick up my package here because UPS never delivers to my address, tired of it and cant make a claim because they updated the tracking within 24 hours. They “attempted to deliver” but are liars, I do not even receive the notice slip, but its updated on the tracking online. Due to the consistent problems I have I always try to change to Fed Ex or USPS. Just wanted to let you guys know if you did not already.
I love this place! I love the mailboxes are open 24 hours, its always clean, they have a super organized system for letting you know when you have a package which includes emailing you and putting a bar code in your mail box. This way you dont have to stop in to check if your packages arrived they let you know. Ive never come in looking for a friend, looking for validation to my human existence or with the expectation for the staff to be perfect so perhaps that is why Ive always been completely satisfied.

This place is ridiculous! I never leave bad reviews unless the service is really bad and this one is! I just spend 20 minutes inside the store and couldn’t get any help from anyone. All I was trying to do was print 2 pages and after they finally asked me what I needed the guy just said “ok” and went to the back of the store for no reason and spent there another few minutes. By this time I had to leave because I was going to get late to class so I left without my paper being printed. With that being said their prices are ridiculously high and the internet is extremely slow. The computer they have for customers use charges a $2 fee plus .30 cents per minute. So for a 2 age print out which is at most 50 cents elsewhere it would’ve been at least $3.50.

Would not recommend. Every time I dropped off a pre paid and labeled package for delivery they told me, “Next time to drop it off after 4 PM.” How’s that good customer service? When I work/travel, I drop off packages/cases at UPS Stores across the country, NOT one person has asked me to drop packages after 4 PM. What if my schedule doesn’t allow me to come back after 4PM?
I stopped by this store for notary service on a Monday afternoon and everyone there was extremely polite and helpful. Very quick and easy. In and out in about 10 minutes or less for $15/signature.
I read the bad review and I was extremely shocked.... Ive been coming to this UPS location for years and i have NEVER had any problems. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. These guys have no business being in a job that has anything to do with human interaction. I brought in a box to return to Amazon that was not taped up. It need an 8in strip of tape. I was carrying a lot of things for another shipment so I had left the box open to help me carry those other items to ship. The idiot behind the counter told me he couldnt tape it because it was a liability and he would not give me an 8in strip of tape. He would gladly sell me an entire roll of overpriced tape, however. How many UPS stores have I been to all over the damn US where they will GLADLY tape up your box? Plenty. The kicker is, the idiot came back after taping up my other shipment (a return to ATT U-verse so they have a deal with UPS to provide the box, tape, and shipping label), and he had over taped the oversized box he decided to use for my equipment. Complete incompetence.
I wish zero stars was an option. I agree with all of the one star reviews, but they desereve less. I entered the store holding my package while a clerk finished with a customer ahead of me, The other clerk was assisting another customer and although he acknowledged the fact I entered the store, when he finished with the customer he simply stood there, not offering assistance to me. A woman walked in behind me, walked straight up to the unoccupied clerk who readily offered assistance. Finally he offered me assistance but was not the least bit courteous and actually had a surly attitude. This store is more convenient to me but I will drive the extra miles to hopefully get better assistance, or use the post office.
I am disappointed, they offer Notary but when I came in today, a Saturday, I had to find out next possibly notary is on monday? If they offer notary shouldnt this always be available during business hours? Now I have to search for a different location...
Had my son take a package for shipping. I always go to the UPS store on Telegraph but for some reason my son went to this one on Palomar. They are the rudest most unhelpful people. We had run out of packaging tape, it was a small box, they refused to tape the box and told him he had to leave. I have taken boxes on numerous occasions to other UPS store and they are always the most helpful people. This place has terrible customer service.
Like the reviewer HB said, the staff is actually friendly and they tell you what kind of package size youll need if you want to return something and dont have time to go all the way to USPS @ Oxford street or the main one of Chula Vista.I also would recommend it here if youre doing other stuff near this place like going to T-Mobile.
Hehe after reading all this reviews and having been there a couple of times, I know now that Im the only one complaining about the service... I decided to drop a 1 star because in fact that place sucks, go to another location or even use the US Postal Office better

Im not sure the word empathy fatigue would depict the employees who work here. A psychologist would say that they lack pro-social behavior and just wants to leave when theyre done as you feel that youre not welcomed in there, they WILL NOT get out of their way to help you. Ill might give them he benefit of the doubt and say that its only the demographics. But regardless, the people who work at this UPS are no different the stereotypical DMV window worker... who has empathy fatigue. They wont even provide you with a bit of tape, instead they ask to to pay for tape
The staff member who attended me by the name of edgar displayed poor customer serv6ice capabilities. I went in there to ship somethings and I had to print the labels in order to ship them, therefore I had to print them out. I know I am to pay for the copies this fellow also charged me 3 dollars for using the computer to print those pages out, something that nearly took 6 minutes.
Terrible customer service. Went to return an amazon package. there was a girl and I asked her if she had tape to tape my package. yes just a second and a guy comes to the front counter. I show him the package and he says you need to go to ups because the printing label says USPS. he says we dont return those package. I respond tell him well I always do and its the same thing. I forgot to say this is a UPS STORE whats the diffrence between the post office and the store. anyways then he was about to put the label on the package and I ask that I needed tape to seal the package before sending. and he said this our company this is supposed to seal before. IM LIKE in top he doesnt know what USPS stands for. I tell him nevermind i take it to the USPS. Im not sending my package unseal. they are so stingy for tape. seriously amazon uses this company to send packages for free and cant provide tape. lousy customer service.

DO NOT, and I mean, DO NOT open a mailbox with these people. The owner Oscar Quezada is extremely rude, to the point of answering calls in the middle of transactions leaving you waiting too long and he doesnt seem to know the expression excuse me while I answer this call. They have hidden fees for certain packages that are not explained in detail when you open the mailbox for the first time. For those who live in TJ, youre better off using 24/7 mailbox services. Once again stay away from this location, the rudest staff ever!

I came to drop off a prepaid-labeled package as I usually do through ups for my school textbooks. I was told that because I didnt have the box already taped I would have to buy an entirely new roll of tape. Not only that, but I was asked to tape the box myself. Spending $4 on tape isnt going to break the bank, but sheesh. How cheap can they be?! Nickel and diming you over tape! Im not from around this area, but Ive never been asked to do this before.
I was told since my large package is prepaid next day air, they will not accept until 4pm for boxes over 20 inches. Now i have to find another ups store! Poor service. I ship all the time ... never at this store. You are dead to me Palomar UPS.

Well, this was the first time I went to a place to send a shipment, so basicaly I didnt even knew how to do it, and the guys on there store were great (as oposed to all previews coments), I would say they have a great custumer service.

Horrible! I walked in after verifying services available online and I was told that each location is a franchise, therefore subject to only have certain services. I asked where the next closest location would be that had binding capabilities and was told the Telegraph Canyon location, which the representative refused to call and verify. Waste of time, gas, and energy! Save yourself the trouble, and go elsewhere!
Horrible customer service here went pick up a package and they charge $5 because I used their address when on the UPS website it said I could send it to a ups location at no charge and when I get here they tell me something different and Mr CESAR QUESADILLA (QUEZADA) was the one that helped me A.k.a maestro limpio never returning here avoid them if u can.

They tried to charge me $1.75 to tape a label onto an envelop. That already shows you how much they care about their customer.

Ivan, an associate, said that because I had prepaid labels and my packages were uptaped, 2, that I would have to purchase their tape and then he could tape my packages. I offered to pay a service fee for Ivan to tape my packages and He said that my only option was to purchase their tape.I ship UPS almost daily from Riverside to San Diego counties and the response given by Mr Ivan was disappointing and a definite dissatisfied. Poor customer service!!!!

From the worst, I made a purchase and he gave me the option to pick up there supposedly free and it turns out that when I go to pick up they charged me $ 15 dlls for using their address, the cost seems absurd to me, avoid using this place.
