I have a maintenance contracting business based out of Burlington. My truck is my livelihood. When my battery died on the first cold day of Fall I had a buddy jump my truck then I immediately drove over to Master Tech without even calling first. They fit me in right away, they had the right battery and they changed it out in half the time that the manufacturer estimated.More recently my truck didnt pass inspection at a different auto shop because of how bouncy it was. They said they didnt know how to fix it. I took it to a different shop that specializes in suspension and they said it was fine, didnt need work. Finally I took it to Master Tech where the owner diagnosed my bad shocks within 60 seconds. They ordered me new shocks and the owner reccomened installing timbers to help with payload as my truck is always loaded. This was right before plow season so I was nervous they wouldnt be able to get to my truck before the snow started falling. They heard my concerns and fit me in as soon as the parts came in. The work they did made a huge difference in the handling and safety of my truck.Bottom line: good down to earth people who truly care about your automotive needs. 10/10 expience both times I was there. I will only use Master Tech moving forward.

We traveled to Vermont from Connecticut with our 30 ft camper and had a tire blow. Triple AAA put our spare on but we realized that these tires are not going to make the ride home. I called MasterTech Automotive because they were the closest to the campground. They were fantastic! They ordered the 4 tires we needed got them the next day and installed them at the campground! We didnt have to tow the camper there! How much better does service get? I would recommend them without any hesitation. Now we can enjoy our vacation and have a safe ride home

I get their fluid film every year and love the fact that I don’t pay that much because having had it done for several years it takes less fluid so less cost. The owner is a great guy they are some really great people there. When the engine of our Element failed Keith at MasterTech Auto took us on when no one else would... during tire season. One new/used engine, rotors and brake pads, and some general TLC later and my Element is back on the road. The total cost was fair. It did take them a while to do the work, but I was appreciative of the fact that I could borrow a loaner with good snow tires for the duration. The starter failed on my honda element so I called this shop by recommendation of a local parts store. Bonus that they offered towing as well, so I hired them to tow the car and confirm that starter needs to be replaced. They came to jump the car, even though I told them it was not possible (yes, even with tricks) and I would just need a tow. I was told in multiple conversations I had with the repair man, towing crew and desk clerk, that they would call me to discuss the cost of replacing the starter BEFORE doing any work. They were later than expected to pull the car to their shop, so I assumed that the delay in calling back with an estimate meant they were busy. However, they did not call, as required by law and without my consent, did additional work.The next call I got was to inform me that the work they decided to do on the car was complete. Then they asked for payment over the phone (later found out this was for replacing the starter and serpentine belt, failed starting attempts and pulling (not towing) the car to shop) I felt in the pressure of the moment that I was not in a position to argue because the car was in their possession. I didnt even have an opportunity to inspect the bill before paying it. I was not experienced enough to know that this violated my basic legal rights and was fundamentally wrong.Both parts cost a total of $288, which was reasonable, but the amount of time, pulling the car to shop (1.3 miles, standard flat towing fee assumed) and failed attempts at starting the car brought the cost to $751. I was not in a position to pay more than an absolute maximum of $550 at this time and I had a back up plan in place should the cost of repair for just replacing the starter and towing exceed this amount.While I cant speak to the quality of work they did, I am extremely disappointed in the judgement call they made without my consent. They showed no regard for the amount of money I was willing and ABLE to spend to deal with this issue at this time, let alone unwanted additional work! When I pointed this out I was met with additional disregard. Later I was told that they gave me a new gas cap for free ($5-10, but quoted at $20-40) and somewhere in there was an hour of free labor : hardly a consolation for the excessively difficult and disappointing position they have put me in due to their negligence toward my agency as the car owner. I never asked for or wanted anything to be free because thats not how these things work. I expect to know what Im getting and how much it will cost, and THEN make a decision. I believe this is a simple protection we should ALL be able to expect, especially in these times. While the work is what it is, they failed in their most basic responsibility as a service provider. I did mention my concern for cost from the start and recall someone saying they would work with me on it, but they did no such thing. I would not recommend them to anyone who assumes the right to make their own financial decisions and especially not when financially strained.

I would like to say that KEITH help me so much! I originally brought my car to a garage who told me that it was gonna cost almost 3000$ to fix because I was gonna need a new engine. I called mastertech garage just to get a tow to a storage unit to store my car until I could afford to pay to get it fixed. He asked me a few questions and I explained my situation and he said something didnt sound right and ended up going to the other garage and ended up getting my car running in an hour!!!! MasterTech provide excellent service - Ive been using them for the past three years. We have been taking our family cars to Keith and his crew for at least 15 years. Phenomenal experience. I was up in VT from MA for school and went to start my car two days before leaving and it wouldnt start. I called a bunch of places who said they couldnt see me until next week until I spoke with Keith. He was very receptive of my problem, instructed me to drop off the car the following morning and he would have it done the same day. He not only completed the repair and kept his promise but kept communication throughout the whole process. Very reasonable in pricing and Im forever grateful for getting it done so quick so I can return home. Highly recommend and will use in the future if ever Im in Burlington again.

I recently had a problem with my muffler. It was about to fall off. I went to Master Tech. They were able to take me right away. Most places are appointment only, and those can take days. I had an appointment in a couple of hours. They had Bond auto expedite the parts. The repairs were completed in just over an hour. The techs there are very good at what they do and are extremely customer oriented. I would not use any other shop.

I’ve taken my truck to these guys on multiple occasions and they gave me a loaner on the spot and if the work is small they’ll do it right in front of you and won’t charge. These guys are the best there is in New England.

Also, based on my last service done, I was originally quoted for an alignment to accompany a four tire change. My experience was amazing! I went in to get my car inspected with the engine light on and a busted tail light. They fixed the tail light with in 48 hrs even though they had to order it in overnight, plus saved me money by getting the best price on the light housing. As for the engine light they actually saved me money by helping get it fixed under the federal emission laws. I couldnt recommend these folks any higher as they are all professional, polite, and do excelllent work!

Im in a traveling band from nyc. Our van broke down in Vermont because a bolt for the serpentine belt sheared off inside the engine block. We were quoted two weeks and $3000 by another shop to remove and replace the engine, but Keith was able to do it in 3 hours for a quarter of the price and saved our tour. Thank you MasterTech!

There are not enough thanks in the world to give these people. If I could rate higher than 5 stars for their work, I would. My vehicle had suffered from a faulty Audi timing chain tensioner which left my engine totaled. Made it to an evening class just to walk out to my engine not starting. After bringing it to Audi for inspection and help, I was quoted nearly 14k for a USED rebuilt engine. I usually dont go through the dealer unless its a faulty part which in this case it was but they were not going to help out. After playing around the world with dealers/shops, Keith was able to help me and my family out. As a car enthusiast, he revived my engine for under half of what Audi quoted me and the parts were NEW. Keith and his people do great work and again, I cant thank them enough. They are passionate about their work and will always be happy to help you.

I have been bringing my families cars over to Master Tech for several years now, and not only do I trust them for doing fair & honest work, we know that we can depend on answers to our questions. My family always has been treated nice and friendly with Keith and his guys who have even given us rides to pick us up or drop us off.When I had doubts about the accuracy of a repair diagnosis from my local dealership on my 2006 Charger and almost accepted their repair, I went back to Master Tech and had found that they (dealership) were way off in troubleshooting critical driveline component and had Keiths guys perform the repairs and followed up later with dealership.I still deal both with Master Tech and dealership because of factory warranties, but do recommend his business to other friends and acquaintances whom have tried and seem pleased with my referral.

I had brake issues in the middle of winter-tire season. Nobody could squeeze me in for 2-3 weeks and that was a huge problem because I drive my car for a living. MasterTech fit me into their schedule 3 days later and even had my car to me that same day. A few days later there was a snowstorm and my car wouldn’t start, so I called them again to see if they had any ideas. They sent someone out within the hour and fixed the problem at no extra cost which wasn’t even their fault. I am definitely a new permanent customer. As a sales consultant, I can comfortably say MasterTech cares about their customers. Thank you!

I heard many good things about this place and when I called them and told them my problems with my car, they sounded confident they could fix it. If they told me they could not figure it out it would not upset at all I wouldve understood because it was a electrical issue. The thing that upset me is that they just looked at it told me it was a mess then charged me 300 dollars and thats it. They also did not bother putting the back door interior paneling back in. Sucks I have to write a poor review but I lost 300 dollars for nothing.

On our way from Massachusetts to a youth hockey tournament in Montreal we stopped for gas in Colchester, VT and the shift cable went on our vehicle. Pressed for time and stranded, we called several local repair shops but couldnt find one who could repair our vehicle same day. One of the shops we called recommended MasterTech Automotive. We called MasterTech and spoke with Keith. We explained our situation and Keith offered to do everything he could to help us get on the road again. We had the vehicle towed to the shop and Keith went right to work. He had us back on the road within the hour even though the shop was full and busy. He also showed us how to repair it and gave us some supplies to use if it happened again. That was super helpful since it happened again on the way home. We are grateful that you helped us and allowed us to make it to the rink in time for our daughter to participate in the tournament. A friend recommended MasterTech to me when I was stuck in a tough spot, not knowing exactly what was wrong with my car and if it was safe to even be driving. I had some work done a few weeks prior at another repair shop and when I called them with concerns around the work they did, they were extremely reluctant to even take look and then went on to say they didnt know what was wrong with it but they werent going to have time to even put it on a lift and investigate until days later. I called up Keith and he said to bring it down and they would have a look; he said they were scheduling work for the next week already but hed be able to give me an idea of what what wrong and if it was safe to drive. Not only did he have a look at the car, but he fixed the vehicle the same day! He sent me out with a loaner vehicle while he was working on it which was very convenient. Everyone I interacted with at the shop were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this shop and I am happy to have found a great shop to have my car serviced at.

Im sitting here broke down in Quechee Vermont right now cost me a $550 tow after I spent $2,200 total with Master Tech Automotive to fix my car part of what they said they fixed was my exhaust and the clamps on it here I sit with my exhaust broken in half on Mothers Day in Quechee Vermont thats all Ive got to say theres nothing else that needs to be said oh yeah and a 2-hour repair that make you wait all freaking day for two sometimes overnight part of that $2,200 was my power steering replacing lines of cell saying they fix the leak that never got fixed either still leaking still filling it up Im all done burning money like Im rich with people that dont know how to give you a service

My husband and I have two cars that we have taken to MasterTech now that were splitting our time between VT and NY. Every time we take our cars in, the staff is warm and friendly, and the work is always done extremely well. This morning, one of our cars was hit and damaged to the point that we could not drive it. Our other car did not have snow tires yet and was not fit to drive on the roads. I called MasterTech at 7:30am and by 10:30am, my car had been worked in among their already scheduled appointments to get the tires put on that we needed in order to drive on the slippery roads. Keith at MasterTech went above and beyond his duties by personally driving me to where I needed to go while the car was being worked on. He then came and picked me up and brought me back to the shop to pick up the car once it was ready! This shop is excellent and very reasonably priced. They were a life saver today!!!
