I made an appointment for my daughter, explained to them she was 6 years old and the teachers at school had expressed their concerns for her eyesight, also asked them if they accepted my insurance.He said absolutely and that there was no problem with her being 6, but they only see kids on Tuesdays. I said no problem and scheduled the appointment. Mind you we also live 35 minutes away from College Station. The moment I got there the receptionist was extremely rude, amd then made us wait for 15 minutes before telling us they don’t accept my insurance, and then another 10 before telling me they don’t accept any children under 8. She then proceeded to say I could maybe go to Walmart because they accept walk ins. Definitely would not ever recommend this place, ever.
We experienced professional service and quality products from this Stanton Optical location. Dr. Torres, the optometrist is only there on Tuesdays, so make your appointment. He is excellent. Larry at the main desk and Christopher our sales rep were incredibly helpful and informative. We are very satisfied with our Stanton Experience. We will go there again in the future and recommend to anyone looking for professional eye care and products.
I had called Stanton Optical because I lost my glasses and they told me my prescription was still valid. I went in and they said it wasn’t valid anymore and had to come back to get an eye exam. I had already picked my frames, so I spoke to Larry, who said he’d save them for me and that he would make it up to me. I went back yesterday for my appointment and everyone was amazing! I experienced such wonderful customer service that I completely forgot about the whole prescription thing!I really wanted to shout out Evelin, who exemplifies amazing customer service! She was kind, patient, super friendly, helpful and gave me an awesome discount which more than made up for it all! I had such a positive experience, I’ll definitely be recommending it.
The person who is responsible for eye examination is very impatient. Does not care about answering your questions at all.
I chose to visit Stanton Optical because of an advertised special on two frames and a free eye exam and was wonderfully surprised by the excellent service after making a reservation via phone earlier. The virtual/face time experience with the eye doctor was fast and convenient. Christopher was especially helpful in-store when I was picking out frames. He was a joy to speak with, and I appreciated his insight on vision ware in general. I highly recommend this Stanton Optical for anyone seeking quick, friendly, and quality service. I even took advantage of a daily special and ordered a pair of prescription sunglasses at a very economical price!!
I’ve gotten glasses and contacts here before and never had a problem. I went back yesterday after 3 yrs with my mom and the associate couldn’t find my mom’s eyes. She called my mother blind even though my mom walked in perfectly fine without assistance or a cane. I repeated to her multiple times that the had the machine pressed on my mom’s nose and she said there was nothing she could do to the machine if it couldn’t find my mom’a eyes. She also left us waiting in the room 2 times to go schedule people walking in and answer their questions. My mother was crying once she made it to the car because we didn’t get service or a prescription. She’s an older lady and was blaming herself for the whole ordeal.
Kimberly was amazing helping with my order and keeping an eye on my child while I switched for testing with my husband. She and the rest of the staff made the whole process easy and made me feel like they cared for the service they provided. I will definitely be going back for any services I will be needing.

1) was told over the phone they took my insurance.Arrived at exam they wouldnt accept it2) Had a virtual exam. Was never told it was virtual They gave me trial contacts. I told them they didnt feel right and that I couldnt see well. They told me I had to wait 5 days to adjust to them.3) recorded contacts was told they would be in Friday or Saturday. They came in on Tuesday, but the office never notified me.4) You can never call the office directly.The worst customer service and experience Ive ever had with optical care!
Beware potential scam.Was advised against keeping my receipt to pick up my order. When it came time to pick up my order no record of my payment was in their system. Which led to them demanding further payment. Luckily I didnt listen to their advice and kept my receipt to prove I had in fact made my purchase. Not looking forward to doing further business with the company.The customer service was great. The person giving said advice was professional looking and well spoken. This is the type of behavior conmen have. They lower your guard to make you do something. In this case the possibility was them wanting unsuspecting customers to ditch their receipts so that they can charge them again.Whether this was a case of Mal intent or negligence I dont know. Bottom line is there was a lack of customer protection. With that I caution those reading to always keep your receipts regardless of what anyone says.

Really good service. Made an appointment for an eye exam. They helped me quickly and had me out in about an hour. The only negative was the Dr that tested me was virtual and rushed me to choose between lenses during the test. Other than that the staff that was there personally were great.
I went in because I had broken my frames, and was able to have a new pair picked out, and ordered so fast. Evelin Salguero was great! They were all so professional and kind, it turned my whole day around. Having broken glasses can be such a bummer, but Stanton really had my back!

Honestly, after reading some reviews I was very skeptical to go here but they were fantastic! Anyone complaining about prices probably havent had to purchase contacts before. I scheduled my appointment online and my exam was finished well under an hour. I had an eye exam and contact fitting! After that I looked at some frames and once I had picked some out frames and the gentleman i worked with was great, broke down the prices for me and let me know not only exactly what I was paying for but how long it was going to take. I walked out of there with my exam, fitting, frames & lenses and contacts for $380 without insurance. I was beyond happy with that price and planned on paying between 400-450. My eyes are pretty bad so i already knew i was going to have to wait probably close to 2 weeks for my glasses to be made and my contacts to arrive. Everything was ready to be picked up a week later!! These guys are great!! Thanks to everyone there

It’s a good system but they are very untimely and seem to have issues delivering on their promises. I ordered my glasses almost a month ago and have been waiting now 3 weeks. Originally I was told 3hrs then 3 days and now 3 weeks...supposedly they’ll be ready Monday. Guess we’ll see, although I wouldn’t bet on it.
It was my first time ever going to Staton Optical, which the experience was made great by Kimberly, she was really generous and very accessible. Definitely recommend going here especially since they don’t take long like other places.

Don’t do it........ went for the “cheap” eye exam which was supposed 19 bucks if you buy glasses. Great deal? Yeah no. The glasses with my prescription and the “discount” applied was going to be around 400 dollars without insurance. Sorry, but if you go to vision works during their deal season you get name brand glass AKA Rayban’s two for that price. Then I said just the exam and they tried to charge big time around 100 bucks yeah no thanks.
This going to be a long review.Went for a new contact prescription as I’ve had contacts before but my prescription from another place expired and I wanted a cheap appointment and didn’t want to spend a lot. After the first appointment (which was over video chat, and the doctor wasn’t even in office, which I was not told before my appointment) the contacts they gave me to try on were obviously the wrong prescription. I told them I’ve worn contacts before and they’ve never felt like this and that something wasn’t right. After them trying to give me different brands and different prescriptions to try on, they still weren’t right. They were trying to tell me that, that’s just how they are and that I’ll get used to them, even though I told them that I used to wear contacts all the time. So finally they told me to come back for another appointment when the doctor is in office. So I did. (Keep in my mind they told me to wear the contacts for a little bit so that I can see if I get used to them, which didn’t feel safe, but I tried and had to take them off 15 minutes later from discomfort) I came back a few days later, which isn’t easy since I live an hour away, and I had my appointment with the doctor and I started telling him about how I have a type of cataracts that run in my family and he straight up just said no I didn’t because “I’m too young” to have cataracts.(my mom and generations before her have had them at my age), after he was just brushing everything I said off, he changed my prescription just a little bit and said that it would work even though I tried to tell him that they tried that the other day. I took my new prescription and the contacts they wanted me to try on and I left. I’ve worn the contacts because the prescription isn’t super far off, they’re just very uncomfortable and dizzying, and I have no other choice at the moment.Fast forward to today, I’m looking at my prescription to buy some contacts online because I don’t have the money for another appointment, and I notice that my base curve changed from my previous prescription from another place, no big deal, I assumed maybe it had changed with age or something, but then I look at the package from the contacts they gave me to try on (I kept the packages because I couldn’t remember what prescription goes in what eye and I just felt like I should keep them) Glad thing I did keep them because come to find out they gave me contacts with a base curve of 8.4 to try on but my prescription says I need a base curve of 8.8..... I paid $75 for this. (I have very good eye insurance and STILL payed $75. They’re not as cheap as they say)So now I’m in this gray area of wondering if they just handed me the wrong contacts or if my prescription is actually wrong, and what the discomfort is coming from. Keep in mind, too small of contacts can majorly affect your eyes and can hurt you pretty bad. And the last thing I want to do is deal with this place anymore. You might as well go somewhere else with better service that costs just a little more because I know that I’m not the only one that has had issues and still payed a lot for very very poor service.
I keep trying to call and the call keeps disconnecting like they are hanging up on me. I’ve attempted a few times now and it keeps happening.
The manager Christopher was amazing he made you feel welcome. He provided excellent customer service, along with everyone else in the college station office who provided excellent service, the office makes sure they provide you with the best deals possible and I will definitely be going back again.
The only place I go to in college station when needing new glasses or my glasses repaired! The staff are very friendly and truly have your best interest in heart. They will literally go through every pair of glasses in the store until they find your perfect pair! Will always recommend this store!
They advertise a free eye exam but will try to charge $140 for a walk in exam.Ive done business with them previously but $140 for a basic eye exam is pretty ridiculous.The woman working at the front really didnt seem in that great of a mood either and didnt try to resolve the situation in terms of customer service, making the whole situation a shoulder shrug.I will find business elsewhere and would recommend the same.

Worst eye examination ever. I did my contact lence fitting in this store. It was suppose to be fully covered by my insurance but they charged me $40 on that by telling me it is a specialty CL fit. Completely scam. The experience is just TERRIBLE. The eye examination is VERY short. The doctor almost flashed pictures for you to choose. There was no way to get an accurate measure. Staffs are very rude. Avoid this store if possible. Dont know why they get a 4 out of 5 star google review. I want to warn every body their yelp review is only 2 stars.

Set appoint at 930am for eye exam which was right when they opened, was seen at 945am must have booked double appts. went through a tele meeting which was smooth, waited around 5 minutes for service and one of the sales rep Christopher was very knowledgeable and assisted me with getting my prescription set up. I was out the door by 1020am. I appreciate the smooth in and out.
Zero was not available. The manager is a bold face liar. We obtained a copy of my husbands rx via e-mail. My husband was not able to get it filled as they had no doctors name or signature. After trying to get it for 3 days and numerous phone calls, we had to go in to pick it up. We had called corp office and they tried to call the CS store while I was on the line. The agent said they would not answer her either. They were going to fax it to the CS store for us to pick up. Long story short, it did not happen. They called the cops and said it was impossible since they did not have a doctor there only came in once a week. I told her what corp had said and said that was a lie. It took way too long for the police to get it from her. Man, after finally getting it, I put in a complaint with the corp office. After not hearing from them, I called them back. They told me all the lies the manager made in her statement and the remarks she put in their secret customer profile. The agent said someone would be getting back to me within 24 to 48 hours. I told him I wanted a copy of what she had put in the profile. He said I could not get that. I told him I needed it to prove her statements were false. During our conversation, I was cut off. I tried to call back but no answer. I was told by another agent to call back in the morning and given a direct number to call.
I was definitely coming expecting to pay a lot more than I was comfortable with, but the service was nice and the store had better deals than my terrible insurance. I was hoping for glasses under $100, which I may have gotten online, but I got 2 glass for $200 (total price including exam) at a quality superior than what I would have gotten online that I could walk out of the store with. The brand manager who did the service was also very friendly and understanding. I would definitely recommend Stanton Optical!
If you need a copy of your prescription, do not select that option when you call the customer service because nobody picks up even after waiting an hour on the line. Just choose another option, like making an appointment, they will pick up quickly. The customer service agents are actually very helpful and professional.

Its been almost two months since I order my contacts. Idc what the excuse is when you pay $400 for anything you expect it to be there. Keep in mind that on Yelp they have a two rating which is more accurate Google rating is never accurate. They exams are so fast, cheap and basic that you are almost guaranteed to get an inaccurate eye exam, they will probably never ask you to see a real doctor to take the time to get something so important with maximum precision you dont get that or something optical eye exams are too fast and too cheap.

Im sure these guys are fine, but dont walk in without an appointment. Me and my girlfriend spent twenty minutes just waiting for a simple answer (whether or not they take our insurance). The guy at the front basically didnt give us the time of day, and attended to everyone else who came after us. Again, I understand that we came in without an appointment, but this is a review for if you were to walk in trying to ask a question--dont expect to get an answer any time soon.
Management is awesome, staff is friendly, i was in waiting room when a guy came in to use the restroom and refused to wear a mask, the manager kindly asked the man to put one on but the man jist yelled about not wearing a mask and causing a scene saying he couldnt breath with a mask but was smoking a cigarette before entering the store, if you cant wear a mask but smoke a cig that sounds like a you problem. The manager handled it very proffesionaly and with the utmost kindness, this place will always have my business due to staff being so kind and prices. Beware negative reviews as most people only leave them when theyre being unreasonable.

I was immediately greeted at the front door and guided into the sales showroom. I had questions concerning the exam and optical options going forward upon ordering my new glasses. Luckily for me, I caught their Lab Manager, Ray before he left for the day. Withing 15-20 minutes of ordering my glasses, Ray had fitted the new lens and had me ready to walk out the door. Got my contacts wrong first time around and here I am for the second appointment which was scheduled and its been 30 min past my scheduled time and still havent seen a doctor. After finally seeing the doctor I was barely in there 5 min and he was telling me about my astigmatism which they knew about on my last visit but didnt add it to my prescription. Took about 20 min to get my contacts and two separate people to figure that out and they still ended up being wrong. So here I am coming back in 2 weeks to try again. He said this is my last free try so if this doesnt work Im down a 100 dollars.

I called in to check the price. I was told it’s $89 and asked if I want to set an appointment. Exams and fitting are fine, but then I was asked if I want to buy some contacts. I asked for quote for 12 month supply which was over $500 including the exam/fitting. Then I was told that if I were not getting contacts, the exam is $145. Well, they didn’t confirm the price with me to start with... and then try to charge me $420+ for contacts when I can get a year supply for $80 for both eyes? Good company would disclose both prices to start with. Also a good company won’t rip off its customers like this. Because of its dishonesty, I will never use the place again for anything in the future.

Their 2 for 1 ads are extremely misleading. The pair for $59 that they advertise on a big banner outside their store is also incredibly misleading. The free eye exam and discount glasses are a sales gimmick that applies to almost none of the glasses. The glasses I purchased with single focal lenses cost $180; I was not offered a 2nd pair at no cost or for a discount because they are outright lying about that. Resorting to misleading sales ads and offers that NO ONE actually qualified for MAKES THEM NOT REPUTABLE.

Just got home after picking up my new eyes. Im seriously impressed. Didnt take the full 2 weeks to come in, they were EARLY! Great frames, lenses are perfect, and they beat every other place in town on price. Havent paid less than $400 for a single pair of glasses in over 20 years. 2 pairs for less than $140 each was freakin awesome! Especially since Im not blessed with vision insurance, and avoid credit cards if at all possible.Staff were very professional, and helpful. Understand, Im extremely near sighted. Without my glasses I almost need a cane and a dog. Frames have to be durable, because Im graceful at best. Not vain, but my frame options tend to.be limited. They worked within my specifications, offered suggestions, and I now have 2 pair I can be seen wearing in public. I have a spare pair, in shock still, Ive NEVER been able to have a spare pair.If you need new glasses, I really do think they will do their best to work with you to make it happen. They definitely did with me.
I went in today for my appointment and even though there was a mix up with appointments Chris took so much care of me. Not even complaining he made sure i was taken care of. Im thankful with everything going on in the world he treated me as if i was his family. I am grateful.

Appointment and glasses process was painless besides the price.. the problem is when your glasses break and your told they dont have that type anymore so they will have to find them. Then you hear them laughing because they are cheap frames to them,Im sorry its hard earned money to me,. They say call back in about 2 weeks to see if they found any otherwise Im out of luck.... What happened to the warranty that came with my several thousand dollar purchase, 2 glasses for me and my daughter with upgraded lenses? Stay away if your a working person they dont care they just want your money and then kick you out the door.

I was able to easily set an appointment over the phone and expected to be able to come into my appointment and get my eyes checked but I was mistaken. When I walked in I was not greeted and witnessed individuals walking running back and forth. After about 5 or 10 minutes I spoke up and asked someone about my appointment and was just asked if my temperature had been taken. Once it was finally taken we discussed insurance with the girl at the front desk who seemed quite impatient and very rude. I will not be returning here I would never recommend this place to anyone ever.
Terrible Experience. First they forgot to tell me to take my contacts out so we did the first exam in my contacts. I realized it before we left, they did a second exam and she couldnt get my vision correct because the pre-tests were incorrect. The Dr. Had them do my pre-tests again but he made me wait for the entire waiting room of people to go before me. Then I had to wait again to see the Dr. For the 3rd time. I was there 3 hours and finally just asked her to make my prescription for what it previously was because I couldnt trust them to get it right.
I paid over $500 out of pocket & they were quick to take my money! The eyeglasses are very low quality and way overpriced. I would not recommend to anyone! 3 months later Im having to see another eye doctor and get another pair of glasses!
I would rate it a 0 if it would let me, I called before heading over to stanton optical to make sure my contact exam was still up to date and they told me i had it done in june 2020 and exams are good for a year so i went to purchase new contacts and when i got there they said my exam had expired on november 20th 2020 and today is december 22nd 2020 so they wanted to charge me 150$ for a contact exam plus the contacs i told the MANAGER my exam should be good for a full year and he AGREED but he had to go by what the computer said knowing my exam was good till june 2021 he didnt even bother to try and solve the issue he just proceeded to telling me he couldnt do anything and if i wanted new contacts i would have to pay for the exam and purchase the contacts then, I will not be returning to Stanton Optical at all, I totally do not recommend them bc you will end up paying more than you have to because they dont know how to do there job.
Had my eye exam done today in Bryan Texas, from the time we walked into the door we were treated like friends. Christopher and Nancy were awesome. The Eye Dr was friendly and caring and answered all my questions.... Everyone was friendly, helpful and funny, they laughed with us and helped us with questions they answered everything we asked and got us taken care of promptly. Very disasatified with my experience, theres of misinformation given, when I originally told them I needed to see a specialist to get paperwork signed for DPS and to get an eye exam, set my appointment only to go in the next day and was told there was no Dr available, and that they only are there 1 day a week on Tuesdays, took another week and a half to finally see a Dr. After i Finally got in to see,Dr was told I needed glasses, and was told they had prescription available that day, after waiting 45 mins to speak and go thru tue process with the sales Lady who by the way was very unpleasant and didnt seem to like her job very much, wasnt very informative, well finally got things setteled then was told they wont be ready till the following week. Went,in the following week and happened to deal with the same rude lady that helped me the week before only to be told they wont be ready till the following week now, its taken over a month and still dont have what i need. Cant renew my drivers license or take my cdl test until I receive my glasses. I would highly recommend going elsewhere. Only reason i decided to go with stanton was the price which ended up being more then originally told, not a great experience. After I receive my glasses ive already paid for I will be taking my business elsewhere
First time I have been here but I had a great experience. The staff was friendly. I would definitely go back here for my next set of glasses.
No matter if you have an apt or not you will wait approx 30 minutes.Teleconference eye tech so they don’t actually see anything in your eyes.They didn’t call me when my glasses came in and so i had to wait about a month.My prescription was wrong because the tech who did my exam was clearly incompetent so I had to come back on the one day when the doctor would be in the office except he cancelled the first time.Finally they fixed my prescription and I got my glasses but they weren’t actually tight enough after a few days of wear and so when I came back they told me an hour wait every time I stopped by.You can’t make an appointment for simple things like techs to adjust something on your glasses that takes a minute. Worst place to get your glasses. Do not do it for the cheap price - spend 20 bucks more and go somewhere else.I feel bad for the people who work there because clearly they are over worked and there never seems to be enough staff.

I have to say I have been to Stanton Optical twice and let me tell you they have differently sold me! Between the service, professionalism and price! Speaking of professionalism, I came in today to get a new pair of glasses. As soon as I walked in I was helped. While I was looking to picked out a pair of glasses, I was helped by Shelby. She walked over asked if I needed any help. She is was not pushy at all. I told her what style I was looking for and she pointed out a few frames that were just what I was looking for! Then she said if you need help picking just let me know then walked away. She was not trying to push the sale or be overburdening in the least. Then after while I got her opinion on the last frames I couldnt decide on. She made buying glasses stress free! So thanks to Shelby, I am loving the glasses that I have right now. In all honesty if you are new to the city and looking for glasses or contact provider I would highly recommend Stanton Optical. They are good on their word and will get you out in a timely matter. Plus with professionals working there, like Shelby, you can NOT go wrong!

Virtual doctor who spent maybe five minutes on my exam. Short staffed office. They gave me the wrong prescription and wanted to charge me to retest. Cost me $100 (even though I was told $49 over the phone) and never saw a doctor in person. I had to go directly to another doctor to get a proper exam and correct prescription. Disappointed since the ratings seemed so promising. I went down the road to Brilliant Eye Care, saw an actual doctor, got my correct prescription, and was treated well...and paid less.
I had a great experience at Stanton Optical! I was able to leave same day with an exam and glasses for a great price!! Shelby and Cody both made my visit great. The actual exam was a bit different, the doctor is on a screen controlling the machines from somewhere off-site. It was different, but I had no problems at all with my exam and once I got used to it it felt like any other exam.
Not impressed AT ALL. I’m usually very patient and understanding, but when I am purposefully misinformed several times, and have my prescription screwed up 3 different ways and have to schedule another appointment to fix it, I get a little upset. I was given a prescription that was WAY too strong by an “eye doctor” who was impatient and rude via telehealth. The mistakes on the prescription sheets I was given (an hour later) were so messed up that any real eye doctor would have been appalled. I have worn glasses for over 10 years, I know how things are supposed to go down. When I went back for my appointment to fix the prior issues, it took 2 hours to get through the whole process again, I was finally able to see a doctor in person, and had to just straight up ask him to give me my old prescription since the evaluation still came out wildly wrong. Then when I sat down with an employee to order my lenses, I found out that the wrong lense brand had been written on my prescription. It got sorted out after some arguing, and I was told that I would be called when the lenses came in. When I went to pick up my lenses, I was handed the wrong prescription and all but told to get out and wait for a call telling me the correct ones were in. I talked to someone else, and she was able to find my correct prescription, which was in store the whole time. I will NOT be going back to Stanton ever again, as the customer service is devious and quite unhelpful while still seeming polite.Would also like to note that their “customer service” number takes you to another group who will tell you whatever you want to hear in order to get you to stop asking questions. They DO NOT have contact with local stores (even if they say they do) and nothing you supposedly resolve will actually have happened. Do not call the customer service number expecting to get any real help.
I went in for an just an eye exam and the representative kept pushing for me to choose frames. I didnt want to buy frames and kept waiting. They didnt ask for paperwork. The chairs in the waiting area were awful. It seemed that even though I set up an eye appointment people who were buying frames got priority. I didnt mind just paying for the exam but I ended up waiting for so long that I just gave up. They do have the best prices in town if your willing to wait a long time and to be pushed into glasses sales. I will never go back and I am willing to pay more for an eye exam to be treated better. That place reminded me of the DMV.
Husband ordered and paid $400 for glasses, told have them the 19th,still getting run around, no one answer the phone,if you are lucky to speak to scheduler, they lie and say be ready tomorrow, but tomorrow never comes,delayed due to the covid-19 narrative, been turned into BBB. Yall suck.
Staff was nice enough, but they took forever for the appointment. Started me 30 minutes late, and the entire process then took me over an hour going in and out of different rooms constantly waiting. Won’t be coming back.
Good Service! Lots of Discounts. But longer time to pick up my glass than I expect.
Worst place to get glasses . Dirty floor, worst customer service, appointments are made with a dr on a tv screen . They do not disinfect the glasses frames after people try it on . They see you waiting and staff will only walk ignoring who is next to be check . They called it free examen for a reason !
Signage on front door recommends wearing masks, DOES NOT REQUIRE. However I was told I couldnt be in the store without one. Went out to my vehicle and got one came in and scheduled appointment and asked to look at frames but there is no signage explaining wall size ads outside. Called Eyemart they answered invited me to stop in, I did so and they repaired my glasses so I attempted to call and cancel my appointment with Stanton. No one answered instead I had to go through the automated phone tree and was on hold for about 15 minutes. I hung up and called back once I got through another phone tree I couldnt talk to the Manager and after a game of 20 questions the girl I spoke with said the Manager would call me later. I guess we will see
