I took my car to Royle Auto after a very sudden manual transmission breakdown traveling from PA to RI. While my car is relatively new, (2013) and I kept very good care of it, I have always kept a close eye and ear on everything and have noticed small changes in its performance over time, and the breakdown I had had nothing to do with these changes. I was so used to other shops telling me that the sounds I was hearing and things I was experiencing were due to normal wear and tear - things like intermittent light tapping, subtle engine vibrations, and a stiff suspension, and I went to Royle Auto to get my transmission looked at and my clutch replaced. I am so grateful that my car just so happened to break down in Rhode island, miles from Royle Auto - I have never had such a thorough, accurate, and honest mechanic in my life, and I have certainly never had someone so knowledgeable, experienced, and trustworthy working on manual transmission before. Mike takes his job very seriously. He is honest and quick with communication. Every single thing that I knew was wrong with my car, he caught, WITHOUT me having to say anything. I took my car into the shop and it came out riding like it just came off the lot. I know for a fact that Mike took years of ongoing car hassle away from me, and I am so pleased with his work. I wish PA had mechanics like him and his team; I am tempted to take my car to Royle Auto every time I go to visit my parents in Rhode Island.I wanted to also highlight the convenience of the online approval process of getting repairs done. Every time Mike found something, he would text me a link where I could see the details of what was going on so I could approve/deny the work AND see the estimate of what it would cost. The convenience of this was amazing, and much needed for both my work schedule and for the fact that I was so far away. I was 6 hours away but it felt like my car was right down the street, and Mike was just a phone call away if I needed clarity on what was going on. This is so much the case that I only realize as I type this that I never actually met Mike in person - I had to drop my car off and go straight back to PA, and I picked my car back up in RI outside of shop hours. I will also say it was nice talking to a car mechanic that didnt give off the vibe that I was wasting his time trying to fully understand what was going on with my car, and it never felt like he was trying to get over on me with upcharges.A big thank you to Mike and his team at Royle Auto for listening to me and making a rough situation easier with thorough expertise and fast/convenient communication. This is the first time Ive driven away literally smiling about the care my car has been in at the mechanics. It rides like it is brand new - Id trust you guys with my car if my life depended on it. My car starting experiencing issues on 95 yesterday. I called Royle from the road, Jeff told me to come in and while I was getting there they would try to find a rental for me.I arrived the team was so nice they diagnosed the issue quickly and ordered the part.There are no rentals anywhere so Jeff was kind enough to meet my cousin half way and drop us and our gear off. Service was awesome! I went in for an inspection sticker. They checked the whole car, told me what was needed, no pressure. They sent a video of the inspection process that they did with commentary...very impressive!! I didn’t feel pressured to do anything I didn’t want done right away. Very courteous and friendly...I highly recommend!
Excellent experience. These folks replaced 4 tires that my dealership had deemed OK three weeks prior. What the dealership didnt tell me was that the tires were dry rotted from age. One of them subsequently developed a crack and a leak. The price for the services performed was very reasonable, the staff was very courteous, and the shop itself was immaculately clean. Theyre getting my service business from now on.
Main drive belt was replaced. They found a leak in the rear differential cover and replaced it. Fixed slow leaking tires. They replaced the rear air bag shocks with a coil system. Works great!Very accommodating and reliable. I will be going back.

These guys stayed 2hrs late on a Friday night to make sure my wife’s car had the brakes done, and we got the car back. They did a great job at a fair price. Gave us a free oil change with a coupon to boot. They even followed up with me to see if the car was riding ok after the repair. Very nice, very professional, and an all around good experience. Two thumbs up!
Live right in garden city and went there for flat tire. Kevin was extremely courteous, things were explained totally, and wait was minimal considering I was pretty much a walk-in. I think I might have found an awesome new mechanic just seconds from my home. Very very happy with experience.
Came in for inspection. It was a little bit of a wait due to it being the end of December but the staff was friendly and kept me up to date on the status of my car while it was being inspected. Only been here once so I cant comment on the quality of mechanical work but from what I observed Id trust them working on my car.

I had an excellent experience with the people at A Plus Auto Service. I had called with a very last minute request to have an automatic start installed for my fiance. It was meant to be a surprise Christmas gift and Mike was more than happy to squeeze me in. He basically opened on Christmas Eve, in order to accommodate my request. Mike was very knowledgeable about all of my options, and future upgrades if I decided to add more features in the future. The installation was done in less time than I originally expected, and the automatic start has been working great. A Plus Auto Service helped make our holiday very special and I would certainly call upon their service in the future.

This review is just an overview of my personal experience and opinion. However Mike saw the review and called me back immediately, nearly screaming on the phone saying that he took it personally and threatened to sue me for defamation if I dont take down this review, so that was scary.Anyways, I was charged $250 for a check engine light issue that supposedly fixed itself. Mike told me he looked into the issue, disconnected the wire and connected it again and the check engine light was magically gone.He mentioned hes not a fortune teller and never seen anything like this before, and also he test drove it for 10-20 miles and the light didnt come on. At that point, he suggested that I can either pay more money to continue the diagnosis to see if there is still an issue, which may cost thousands of dollars, or just take my car since the check engine light is no longer there.I didnt even drive 10 miles before the check engine light came back on. I then tried calling the shop on Monday and asked for Mike to discuss my options, the person that picked up assured me multiple times that shell let Mike the owner know to call me back ASAP, which didnt happen. Called again on Tuesday asking for Mike, the person on the phone once again told me shell let Mike know to call me back, which didnt happen. Then on Wednesday, I decided to wait until the afternoon to call in, and Mike finally picked up the phone.During our conversation, Mike got pretty agitated as I asked more in depth about his analysis as well as what are my options moving forward. Mike offered me to run my car on the scanner again for free so Ill give him that, however he did belittle me on many occasions on my knowledge about cars, as well as told me that he doesnt have time to talk to me as there are paying customers waiting before hanging up.
I brought my BMW to A Plus Auto and was amazed at the quality of work I received. I normally would go to the dealership for my work, but because of the cost associated with not having a current warranty, I would sometimes go longer than I should without getting minor repairs completed.I had my front suspension replaced, and was given multiple updates as to the status of the work. Normally when I am getting my car repaired, I do not expect any phone calls except one that says that they are completed, even if the time takes longer than originally estimated. A Plus called me a few times during the process, and I was very happy.I also had another noise that I was not sure of the exact cause of, I had my suspicions and told them what I suspected. They were completely honest that my suspicion was not the culprit, and told me the real cause. They also told me that my suspicion was in perfect working order and did not need to be replaced. I was shocked, as my experience previously with independent mechanics has been less than perfect. I was then informed of multiple options for the parts that could be ordered to repair the cause of the noise, ranging in quality and price. I researched their recommendation and found it to be a quality replacement, at less than half the cost of purchasing the part direct from BMW.I have already made another appointment to get more work done, and plan on returning to have any and all work done at A Plus. I would rate them higher than 5 stars if I could, just because of the honesty.They are a small shop, but dont let that deter you from waiting if youre able. Their work is top notch.

Its difficult to review exceptionally good companies because words dont always do it justice to express the experience that you received, but put it this way..... This company and its owner are so knowledgeable and trustworthy, that I could drop my car off for repair, and if he called me and said that He lifted up the hood and saw four dwarves strapped to bicycles and told me that the motor was actually dwarf-powered and that one of the little fellows had to be replaced.... Id just effortlessly write out a check and scribble new dwarf replacement on the stub, and know that his diagnosis and price was Precision.Thank You!!I will be going to A-Plus Auto again & again.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was in the Garden City area when the check engine light on my car started flashing. I called my usual mechanic and he told me to stop driving it and take it somewhere ASAP. A Plus Auto was the first service shop that I found, so I stopped in not knowing what to expect. From the minute I walked in, the owner, Mike, treated me as if I had been a customer of his for years. He quickly checked the codes on my car, was able to diagnose the issue, and went over the parts and process for fixing it with me. I left the car there overnight, and he had it completely fixed by the end of the next day. From the beginning, Mike was upfront about the costs of each part, as well as the labor, so there were no surprises when I got the bill. He even called a couple times throughout the day to give me progress updates on the repair. Overall, I couldnt have been more pleased with the professionalism, price, and expertise, and I will definitely be coming back when my car needs future repairs!

My daughter & I were in the middle of an 11-day road trip when my car broke down 1,094 miles from home near Warwick, R.I....at 6:15 p.m on July 9th. We were supposed to visit the Statue of Liberty the next day at noon! Mike the Mechanic met us (after hours!) at the shop when the tow truck dropped us off & assured me he would run diagnostics & get me back on the road ASAP. We rented a car, drove to NY, saw the Statue, came back on the 11th, and true-to-his-word, he replaced my fuel pump for a reasonable price & got us safely on our way. We finished our trip on the 13th and our car ran beautifully for the rest of the 4500+ mile trip! He definitely went above & beyond in customer service!

This isn’t your ordinary shop Mike sat me down and told me what I didn’t need instead of all the things I did. He helped me stay in my budget while also fixing my car with honesty. I highly recommend this shop to anyone who knows nothing about cars.

I just had the worst experience in my life with this dealership, the worst customer service Ive ever experienced! This is not a 1 STAR it is a ZERO STAR!!! I picked up my car last Friday 8/11/2017. When I got to the dealership no one was there for closed to 10 minutes, not a receptionist, just no one. finally the mechanic showed up with a fast food bag, I told him Im picking up my car to get the owner MIKE and ask why there were no one for 10 mins. The mechanic GREG give me an attitude telling me he was only gone for 5 mins, first of all thats a lie because I was there for over 5 mins and it takes you 5 mins just to get to the nearest fast food restaurant. He went in the back to get MIKE wish shocked me because this whole time he was in the back. I got my keys, paid and went to my car just to find out my front tire was flat, completely flat. At this point Im annoyed and almost feel like Im being pranked. How dare a mechanic give me my keys on a flat? I tell Greg to get the owner MIKE, he comes back with an attitude and told me MIKE is giving him an attitude and DO NOT want to come out, my cousin gets out of her car upset because the service was horrible. MIKE comes out with the nastiest attitude telling me I keep dragging him outside and do not know why I have a flat. This was the worst experience ever and yesterday the screws on my car fell off. DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!!! I am going to tell everyone!!!!!!
