I had over $1000 in repairs done, and it was done relatively quick, however, for that amount of money youd think they couldve washed the car. Didnt expect a detail, but a basic wash wouldve been nice. Also, the service manager got a bit snippy with me when I questioned the invoice. (Do you want the work done or not?)

I had the worst experience of my life with this dealership. And still dealing with it now. 1. I traded a perfect 2016 Toyota Corolla with a $5000 down payment for a RHD 2013 wrangler lemon. 2. I was taken advantage of and led to believe there were no issues with the Jeep previous to my financing.This dealership should not get any business from anyone not buying a vehicle brand new and never touched by the team at Team Gunther. I would not even trust them to trade me a vehicle off of their lot to replace the first vehicle they gave me. As a veteran, I sort of expected some sort of reliance on a dealership to help me out with getting a reliable vehicle.After having the Jeep in my possession for 1 week it broke down on the interstate with my infant in the vehicle. With SEVEN more break downs in the first month of possession, I brought it to a local dealer for a diagnosis. It needs a new engine. I decided to just try and return it to Team Gunther. The state of Alabama does not have a cooling off period. Fine. I wisely bought an extended warranty. The Jeep stays at a dealership in my local area to fix the issues because I was assured by Team Gunther it would be covered by my warranty. Contrary to what they told me they were wrong, my warranty will not cover anything. $11,000 worth of parts and labor would fix my 1 month owned jeep from Team Gunther. And it will also NOT cover the rental car I had to use for three weeks during all of this trouble. DO NOT BUY VEHICLES FROM THESE PEOPLE. They are dishonest and completely unprofessional.
Went to the store 2 weeks ago to purchase a used car they had on their lot. Was told it hadn’t been put through service yet so they couldn’t sell it, wouldn’t even let me look at it. DOM HARRIS was the sales person and he told me he would get it pushed to the front to get it through service and call me when it’s ready. I was very patient but after two weeks of nothing from anyone there, I went up to see if it was ready for sale. Another sales person came to me to let me know that DOM HARRIS was in the process of delivering a vehicle to another buyer so it wasn’t for sale any more. Terrible customer service and Dom is an even worse sales person. Look elsewhere people.
Absolutely awful and rude customer service from all departments here. My car broke down after closing and I had it towed here to be told they will not even touch it until at least a month from now, and when I said that would be unacceptable and I need to at least know whats wrong with it before then, they told me they do not do walk ins or drop offs. I asked how they can possibly take peoples vehicles away for over a month as people still have lives to live. I was told very disrespectfully that their other technician died. She didnt even say that in a respectful manner. I asked to speak to a supervisor and when he came to the phone I was told to come get my car off their lot because I was too much trouble for them to deal with and they will not be servicing my vehicle because they have ACTUAL paying customers with appointments. He made sure to tell me that he was in charge, and he calls the shots. My car was towed there in an emergency situation after hours and the way it was handled is extremely unprofessional. I DO NOT RECOMMEND HAVING ANY SERVICES DONE HERE OR PURCHASING VEHICLES FROM THEM NEW OR USED. I will not forget how I was treated badly and dismissed. I will say the dealership in Mobile was friendly, knowledgable, and helpful and will not be taking over a month for a simple diagnosis.
40/10 stars❤️ I worked with Bruce Mercier(I think that’s how you spell it). He was amazing along with everyone else I worked with! When I first met him I had my 2 year old daughter with me. He had no issues with it! Made her feel welcome and didn’t treat us like she was in the way! He talked to her and ever let her “help” by getting a paper off the printer! Which I really appreciate! He took the time to get to know what I wanted, and showed me all the cars I asked to see. He answered my questions, was very enthusiastic, and had all around great customer service. He worked hard to get me in my car note budget. I left very happy, and I’m not sure if I’ll ever car shop anywhere else! Everywhere else I went made me fall in love with cars they knew I couldn’t afford. Bruce did not! He was amazing! Thank you Team Gunther ❤️❤️❤️
Would not recommend going to this dealership to anybody, definitely wouldn’t recommend trying to get your car fixed. I was dismissed several times when I tried telling them that there was an ignition issue with my car and instead they just ordered a new key and told me to keep the tires straight when I parked. Which is something considering I’ve been driving the car for 6 years and haven’t had an issue cranking up until the past couple weeks. My car was there for nearly five days, they didn’t even look at it. I have the new key, got home, my car cranked like normal a couple times before the key wouldn’t turn in the ignition at all anymore and it’s now impossible to crank. Really frustrating experience, they also never answered the phone. I always had to leave a voicemail or wait until they called me. I couldn’t recommend any of them but definitely do not recommend the service manager.
I can only assume they do not know what cars are, because they have improperly replaced belts, misdiagnosed engine troubles, and replaced the wrong spark plug multiple times. I have learned so much about auto maintenance by fixing their mistakes.
Went in with a 9 AM appointment, they tell us itll be finished after lunchtime. 5 hours later, and after calling twice to get a status update with no answer, decided that the simple task of installing the center computer would definitely be finished by then.They had called back after 2 hours but I was unable to take the call, as I was on a conference call for work.They didnt even have the decency to leave a message to say yes or no on the status of the vehicle. This was when I decided to head over there.The woman at the front desk was somewhat friendly, but the time estimation was not accurate at all, and then mentioned she called back as if it were my fault I couldnt answer. They are clearly way understaffed, and the employees and CUSTOMERS suffer for this. Not too hard to have a sense of customer service.I believe the service folk just push back the less prioritized projects, or are just that understaffed that a 9 o clock appt takes nearly their whole workday.Unacceptable and inconsiderate, Ill take my business elsewhere going forth. The whole experience left a sour taste in my mouth.Going to explore alternative options going forth.
I just purchased a 2021 Kia Soul and am more than happy with Team Gunther and the customer service I received! Tina Hess was my sales representative and she went above and beyond to make sure I left with the exact vehicle I was looking for. Even though the dealership didnt have it at this location Tina had the car there by the next day and it was a smooth experience all around. 10/10 would definitely recommend!!
Had a car listed and when I wanted to test drive it it was in the shop. Didnt get finished with it for almost 2 weeks. Tina was very responsive though and a pleasure to work with.

I came in and test drove a used minivan it drove great so I started the finance process. My salesman assured me that the van would be detailed because it was disgusting and there were a few scruffs on the body that he said they’d buff out along with getting the headlights to match. (One was brand new the other is old and foggy) None of that was done. I had to hire a detailing company to come detail the van. There was food stuck to the seats, carpets etc. I noticed a day or 2 later that the change oil light was on and that between certain speeds my car would shake. I did check the oil change sticker but the was way off from what my van was at. So I contacted my salesman, all he told me that an oil change and alignment was done. I had to call and get transferred 4 times before finally getting an answer as to what the mileage was when the oil change was done. Apparently I’m going to have to take it to a mechanic and have them figure out why it’s shaking.Edit to add I haven’t even made my first payment yet and I need 3 new tires and an alignment. Worst car buying experience ever!

The team at Daphne Volkswagen was amazing to us! My boyfriend and I were driving from Houston to Jacksonville last week in our VW Jetta when we were side swiped by a semi-trunk. We were stranded in Daphne, Alabama in search of a new rim and tire for our car to “limp” our way to Jacksonville.We called the Volkswagen Daphne team on Friday and they were kind enough to help us out and get a new tire and rim ordered and ready for us the next morning. We showed up early Saturday morning in the middle of a big storm and they fit us in quickly to get us fixed up.The waiting area is very clean and comfortable. We were only there for maybe 30 minutes and they had us fixed up and ready to go for our trek. Everyone was so kind and understanding of our situation and we walked out happy.Thank you Daphne Volkswagen for taking care of us during a stressful time!

I purchased my car from Gunther Kia. A 2017 kia Sorento. New . I always got my oil changes done at Gunther until. Around April of 2020. We when to the service department. Travis was not working that day. It may have been May 2020. But they had this little young mechanic working. They seemed to be short handed that day. Anyway, he can in fixed himself a cup of coffee and started trying to talk to my daughter. She said he was the same guy that drove the car away we dont believe the oil was ever changed.
Firstly I work in the car sales industry and I’m not easily impressed. Jim is one of the sales managers here and helped me personally. Not only did he greet me at the door when I arrived he also stayed late to deliver my vehicle. Top notch sales and service. Highly recommended!!
From my initial contact by phone, the staff was attentive, welcoming and friendly. After finally meeting the staff, at the dealership, it only improved from there. I felt valued and that everyone heard my needs and delivered. This will be the first dealership I shop, when Im looking for a vehicle, from here on. This is my first time buying a Kia and will be my last! due to having problems with the brembo braking system and the lifters making loud noise when cold start and being told it was unable to be fixed. It has brembo calipers but kia rotors and they warp every 1000 miles and Kia refuses to fix them correctly. They want to take my brembo brakes completely off and just put generic Kia brakes on it and make me pay for half of it. I would definitely not recommend them to anyone.
I was approved in advance for a vehicle. When I went to drive the vehicle it seemed like everything was ok. Then started messing with the touch screen radio and it didnt work correctly. I wish this would have been caught before it was released for sale or if they already knew about it, they would have informed me before I wasted my time. The one very positive thing from this experience was the salesperson. Brittany was awesome! I wish the vehicle would have been better because I would have loved to have given her the sale! If you see a good vehicle there talk to Brittany. Just be sure to check everything before you sign.
WOW. We got our super Telluride at a FAIR price. Called Team Gunther; NO other dealer ANYWHERE close had what we wanted. Coby called back and 10 minutes before closing we had an appointment set for EARLY the next day. We WANTED that car and could have been taken advantage yet Team Gunther worked us a nice deal on the EXACT car we wanted. Thanks to Coby, Ashley & others for making the car buying experience AWESOME.
Had to revise my review from putting 5 stars too fast ( I was still at the dealer and did not have all the facts). Bought a used Kia Sorento and it looked great on the pics. However, the interior looked as if someone spilled chocolate milk or something everywhere on the ceiling, console, seats and floor/mats. Also, the light in the cabin did not work. We were told by our salesman Stephen that the light would be fixed immediately and he would call us to get us to come back (we dont live in the area)and fix the light. We had to call him! And when we mentioned the stains he said that it was detailed that night. Come to find out it was not even detailed that night because it was near closing (DUH we thought) but he made excuses and he finally got it detailed needless to say it still has stains!!!! We understand its used but come on this could be done with a soapy towel and vacuum. Also, we still have not had our cabin light fixed!!! When we called to check... Stephen our salesperson had been fired and guess what.. he forgot to tell the service dept about the light🙄 (of course!) . WILL NOT RECOMMEND!!! We just did not have a good customer service experience. A this money we have to spend and we cant even get a clean car and cabin light.

My Kia broke down and I had my car towed to this dealership I was told it would be diagnosed the next day so a couple days go by I call now their saying it could be a week or longer. 😡 this is my transportation to and from work.

My wifes review was never posted, which makes me incredibly suspicious as to the legitimacy of some of these reviews. If your 5 stars are from buying a new vehicle from a salesman, great. It stops there. 3 years after owning a brand new Kia and some parts are breaking down. Garage kept & babied vehicle!Secondly, the service department (Trevor) consistently does not communicate with you unless you ask or push. My final straw was they ordered a part, promised to call. I called them after a week of not hearing and was told to have more patience. I waited another week. Then I was told the part was ordered for the wrong customer so it was sent back. Im still sitting here waiting for my vehicle to be maintenanced under warranty.Lastly, these guys are retaliatory. Very unprofessional and off-putting. Wish we never bought a vehicle here!

My young daughter and son in law bought a car here and the next day it wouldn’t start. The excitement of getting the car left her and had her worried she’d bought a car with problems. It turned out to be the battery. We had to replace it (almost $200).We called the dealership and talked to several people. We then received a call from Mr. Troy Robinson (the general manager) who apologized for the inconvenience and said they would cover the cost of the battery. We own a retail store (30 years now) and this is how customer service should be done. There are too many businesses that only care about the immediate sale and not taking the time to take care of their customers after the sale. This dealership is lucky to have someone like Troy that understands customer service. Because of him I would highly recommend this dealership.
The are so many new ways to buy a car these days; technology allows us to research, compare and even negotiate all online. But it cannot compare with the car buying experience at Team Gunther KIA! Used car was not inspected to their alleged multi-point standard. Wiper blades were shredded, all 4 tires needed immediate replacing, infotainment not updated, vehicle was not detailed prior to leaving the lot. Registration documents were a majorly disorganized mess now pending state investigation. Gunther screwed with the wrong buyer.Southern trash.
While my wife had one of the best car buying experiences here, her experience with the service department has been absolutely terrible. She left a review here about a year ago when she had a negative experience with their service department. With the pandemic, the place we had been taking the car to be serviced closed down. So we decided to give Kia service another try. About a week and a half ago she brought her car in for an oil change and tire rotation. When she left, she thought her car was making a loud noise but continued home to have me drive it to be sure. I knew definitely something was wrong. The car was not making any kind of noises when she took it in. She called and was told it would be this week before they had any appointments to even try to look at it. Trever tried to tell her on the phone it was her brakes. The car was not making a noise when braking, it was while she was driving. When she took the car back Tuesday, she was told that both of her front tires were separating. When she asked why they would touch her tires the day they rotated them but didnt want to touch them that day except to replace them, she was told that the tires probably separated after she left. She was told on the day of the rotate that the tires were showing some wear, but nothing to the extent of what was going on. When she continued to question why the noise started as soon as she left after they had touched the car, Trever told her that its not like you have your car serviced here anyway. She told him that she had planned to continue to use them after this second try, but never again. He said well thats just fine. When she left, she went to the place that we always buy our tires from for a second opinion. First of all, only one of the front tires was separating. So, they were trying to make us buy 2 overpriced tires. And secondly, they told her that as bad as the damage was to that tire, there was no way that it was not already like that when they rotated the tires. The paperwork from the first service visit marked that the tread was wearing on the tires but only recommended that the brakes be replaced, nothing about the tires. But when we took it back, it all the sudden became about the tires and how that the wear and tear they told us about was this problem. If it was that problem, then the car would have been deemed unsafe to drive the first time and not the second time when I caught them with the problem. Beware of this service department. They will screw you over to get you to buy overpriced products from them.

I bought a new car not even a month ago with warranty. 3 weeks after having the car it left me stranded and the best part is they refused to take my car in the shop and give me a rental so I pretty much got screwed...learn from my mistake ppl...this dealership is shady and for bottom feeders..if you have any kind of standards this is not the place to go.

Hello, everyone. I bought a 2013 Nismo a few weeks ago from Team Gunther in Daphne, AL. I am having a lot of issues and thought you guys could give me some advice. It started shaking and driving bad the very first day and has done so ever since. I had the engine mount replaced, but it didn’t help. My next repair will be an axle. I hope that helps. Also, my battery and brake lights (signaling the alternator) come on after a few minutes of driving it and it dies on me. In addition to that, after adding premium gas (which is called for), it started skipping and the service engine soon light came on. I don’t know anything about cars. Can anyone direct me on what needs to be done? Gunther had it for about a week (Trevor) and said they couldn’t find anything wrong with it. Unbelievable! They sold me a lemon and won’t even admit there is something wrong with it! DO NOT BUY A USED VEHICLE FROM THIS LOT!
Pretty sure I won’t go back to this dealership after the experience on Wednesday. Took forever to get greeted and in my opinion our salesperson was a little arrogant. Heck, they wouldn’t even negotiate. He was more worried about his “pride”. It took me to finally tell them to try and see, the worst thing for them to say is No. Not sure if he even went to sales manager but regardless I purchased elsewhere. The process was so much easier and the team at the other dealership across the state line was SO much nicer. So I may have been a little aggressive in my pricing but hey, who isn’t when you’re trying to negotiate.
I love Team Gunther, I have bought a total of 3 cars here and I have loved the experience each time. From the sales department to the finance department everything was perfect. Very comfortable place to visit. Sales staff were pleasant, informative, helpful, without any pressured, structured presentation requiring our personal information. Brochures were given for the vehicles of interest. If you are interested in the product line that they carry, I would recommend that you make an attempt to visit before purchasing elsewhere.

Best Volkswagen dealership lower Alabama. Customer service at this location is miles ahead of Mobile Volkswagen. Took my car in for warranty work. It was fixed in less than a week. Considering my headaches with other dealerships in the area it was a breath of fresh air. I will definitely be bringing my car in for regular maintenance at this location from now on. Also Steve Lowe the service advisor was great to work with I have confidence that the work they done correctly.
After looking at several dealerships over the past few weeks and having several undesireable experiences. I came into Team Gunther Kia looking for a used compact SUV, Coach (Mr. Bruce) was super friendly and helpful. The overall car buying experience was enjoyable. No high pressure sales tactics or dishonest answers. They were very up front and willing to work with me to accommodate my needs and wants in a vehicle. Definitely would recommend them.
I want to give a huge shut out to the service department. Yall went above and beyond to help me with a major tire issue and made sure we were able to get back on the road safely to our final destination.

This dealer is incompetent. From sales, to finance, to service. I bought a CPO vehicle, sales person didnt even know it was wrecked. I negotiated it to be repaired. They did a poor job and took 2 weeks to do it. The finance person gave me one rate, then after signing called me a day later to tell me that rate wasnt available and would have to raise my rate 1 percent. I have 830 score and told him he could either honor the rate quoted and signed off or deal was off. Finally after 2 more trips, this got resolved.Then, a hundred miles later the oil pan started to leak. I brought it back and was asked to bring it back a week later because they didnt have their mechanic or a loaner car ready! Then they never called to reschedule.I have bought lots of cars and never had more consistently poor service.I would never buy another car here no matter how good the deal.
I was thoroughly pleased with my shopping and buying experience at Team Gunther. Our sales person, Jasmine, was delightful to deal with. She took the time to show us many options of vehicles and listened to what was important to us for our daughters car. In the end, she helped us pick out the perfect fit and the price was fantastic. She introduced us to the sales manager and service rep, so I know they will be there after the sale as well. They even took the time to create a custom monogram decal just for my daughter. All in all, I highly recommend Team Gunther, and especially Jasmine, if you are looking for a great car at a great price with no nonsense in the process.

Sorry but I had a bad experience dealing with the machanic at Team Gunther. When I went to test drive my car, I didnt have any problems. I came back to buy it the next day, they told me they were cleaning my car. They kept the car for a long time in the back, after I bought the car. When they finally brought it out to me, I drove the car home. After a few days, the car had so many electrical problems. I took it back and they didnt do a good job fixing it. Instead of wasting my time, hearing their lies and excuses about not fixing my car right the first time. I decided to save the money and get the car fixed right. Thanks to God, I found an honest machanic who takes his work with great pride. Team Gunther does not have a conscious. I dont like the evil feelings I get when I enter their offices. Please dont write back telling me how sorry you are, because the car would have been fixed right the first time if you were sorry! Took my car in for repairs. I asked when I dropped it off if the warranty covered the repair and was told yes. When my car was ready I was hit with a $250 copay for the warrenty work. Which would have been fine if I was informed of this when I dropped off my car not blind sided when we tried to pick it up. Extremely displeased!

Ralph Sweetland their finance director was absolutely fantastic to work with. Everyone was happy and willing to say hello and talk to me. DO NOT PURCHASE AUL EXT WARRANTYI purchased an extended warranty for my 2012 Nissan Xterra on July 2019. The 1st two weeks of driving the vehicle notice a loud noise when car was put in reversewas driving. Took the vehicle to Team Gunther Kia they couldnt find anything wrong. The noise become worse so I took vehicle to Nissan in Mobile who made a call to AUL regarding this same issue which is the rear axle assembly. They basically said they wouldnt pay even though it is covered under the contact. Ive spoken to Bobby regarding this issue they sent an inspector out to take pictures and they are still refusing to pay for it. I have been going back and forth with this company for 3 to 4 weeks my car was at the dealership for almost 2 and still no resolution.FYI The inspector did inspect the vehicle so dont respond to something until too ou have all the facts

I had my oil changed on my vehicle at the dealership and I am extremely pleased on how quick they were in getting in done. They were very friendly too. Checked my tires and my filters. I would recommend anyone who wants friendly service to come here. They service all makes and models which is great news to hear.
Will not be a customer or recommend to anyone I know. I am unable to recommend based on previous reviews and reputation, as well as responses to reviews throughout media platforms such as yelp, google, and facebook. No negative reviews have been addressed or corrected, just given a standard response indicating the customer is at fault. On yelp, the negative reviews go back as far as 2016, with only 1 positive review. All of these things combined are huge red flags and indicate a lack of customer service, as well as a need for more transparent sale practices.
Bought a 2016 Optima, and am pleased still a week later. Very nice car. Salesman Mike Vaughn very good to work with. The experience in reaching and reviewing final numbers was somewhat confusing and less clear than I would have liked, and took longer than I wanted, but I guess thats to be expected from this process, to an extent. Still very satisfied in hind sight.

Last night, I just bought my second new vehicle from Team Gunther Kia in the past two years. Both times, the dealership provided me with upfront, out the door pricing that other dealerships along the gulf coast (from Tallahassee to New Orleans) were unwilling to beat. Both times, I called ahead and negotiated a fair price, was told the exact total of what I would pay for the vehicle (vehicle, tax, tag, title, fees--everything), showed up to the dealership with the previously agreed-upon pricing in hand, test drove the vehicle, filled out the required paperwork, paid the previously agreed-upon price, and drove off satisfied and stress-free. Not once was I blind-sided, treated rudely, or made to wait incessantly. Shawn, Ralph, and the rest of Team Gunther, you have earned a loyal customer.

If I could give a zero star review, I would. If you want service on your vehicle, don’t go here without expecting to be lied to. The hours for the service department are listed on the website open until 6 pm. But when I went there today to get service on my car I was told I would have to make an appointment because they leave at 5. I was like do you really think I would’ve kept sitting in backed up traffic to get over there if their website had stated they closed at 5. Also, when I called the day before, I was told that I could come in as a work in. There was no mention of closing at 5 or needing to be there by a certain time. Do you really think I’m going to stand there and make an appointment to come back when it took me an hour and a half to get there today? Especially when I can go to the service place I normally use in mobile. I had a coupon which would have saved me some money coming there but I’d rather pay more and go to my normal place in mobile. If this is how your customer service is at this dealership and service department, I will definitely not be coming back there to have service done or to buy any more vehicles.
Outstanding and upstanding is really the only two words that come to mind about our experience here. Never called for an appointment, never called and asked for details on a telluride that we saw online, just took off and drove 2 hours to go look at it. We were greeted outside the front door by Ashley. She showed us the telluride that we came to look at, on a whim, and told us all about it - all the details (very knowledgeable). Never felt like we delt with a salesman per say. We sat at a table while negotiations were made on our trade by Josh, who seemed to be used car sales manager or something of the sort. Felt a little different than any other buying experience than weve ever experienced. We were offered snacks and drinks while we waited, and made to feel welcome. Well, when we finally agreed on a deal and were signing paperwork with finance guy it all made sense when he mentioned Joshs last name... Gunther. These people are 120% the real deal! Josh, Ashley, Troy, and the others whom I dont know their names, thank you for making our experience a very pleasant one! It really just means a little more when the owners(?) treat you the way they did us. It was never mentioned about filling the telluride up with gas, but when we got in to leave it had been washed and filled up with gas also! Stand up operation! If I could give 6 stars, I would! Keep up the great work and attitude Team Gunther! Thanks again!

We did not purchase through them, but worked with Shawn and had a great experience. We were ready to go with the price and they price matched the local FWB Kia because of the issues we had with the dealer. I wanted to leave the review because everything was email or phone call and they were able to work everything for us. Like I said, we didnt purchase through them, but if we hadnt decided on a different vehicle, we definitely would have. Great experience and I think they are worth talking to.
