Just went in for the first time today and I can say that this is definitely one of the best head shops in denver. huge selection of unique, thick glass for a fair price and excellent customer service. I will definitely come back here the next time I need to make a big purchase.

Amazing. Prices we outstanding. Its probably one of the most beautiful head shops Ive ever seen! The guy working was freaking awesome. So nice. Also, they have ear gauges bigger than 1. Highly recommend going here for all your glass and jewelry needs.

I have been a customer here since the 1970s. This place is, and has always been the best of its kind. I quit smoking pot about 20 years ago, and I dont smoke anything else but cigarettes and pipe tobacco. I dont do any other stuff either... But I still find this place fascinating and helpful to my lifestyle. They sell cool things that can appeal to anybody. Even just for my tobacco use I can get many helpful items. They have a great selection of non-smoking paraphernalia. The place just oozes personal freedom and self expression. FIND YOURSELF HERE!The staff is always great, too!I have never been to the Lakewood store, but perhaps I will give it a gander soon.WELL DONE PEOPLE!

As long as theyre in business, this will be the only smoke shop I go to in Denver. Theres always someone cool working there, on my last visit Tim really helped me out and found me a sweet piece for a good price and even talked to me for a bit about some of the different manufacturers and some of their charitable efforts that I had no idea about. Great experience overall! Love this spot

Very nice every time i went in there they always help me out. The one over there by colfax and kipling they are rude and dont know any of their products. At least there is one store that is really nice.

Heads of state is a good Head Shop, with some very nice Wares! Not always in the market to buy, but a good place to see some good glass work. Not to mention the fact that its the head shop that I bought most of my pipes and bongs from since the 80s!

Awesome experience staff was very knowledgeable and prices were super solid. They had a daily special so saved even more! Overall great experience!

Great folks here, every one of them. Genuinely so. Sometime I just go in to chat. Just about life-style, you know? But they know all about their inventory and whatnot as well if thats more your cup of tea.

Went by off a buddies recommendation, and it was even better than he described. The shop has a everything a smoker needs in 1 place, huge selection with great prices. Customer service is incredible and will defiantly be the reason i come back.

Its a chill place, and dude that works there is cool. However, Im a little disappointed. I picked up a nector collector, only to find out later it had a crack running down the part that holds the nail. I never dropped it. Never smacked it on anything. It hasnt even left my house. Im not totally sure what happened.I wont discourage anyone from buying here. Just check out your glass thoroughly before you buy.

The competition has better hours. Prices are a little too high for some of the mid to lower range products. On the good side they do have a solid selection and have been a long time, good standing small business thats been through the good and bad times in the area.

One of the best Head Shops in Colorado. They have an awesome section of Glass. Also, they have flexible smoking accessories which are great for hikers, bikers and skiers!

I wish I could give negative stars to this place. The man thats been in there each time my husband and I went in he was a complete jerk. Not only is his attitude awful the prices in that store are highway robbery. I will never go back to this store... ever. Dont even waste your time go a few more blocks West on colfax ave and go to Rocky Mountain Pipe Dreams the people are nice and prices are way better.

Such a friendly bunch. Dont be swayed by huge walmart style glass shops. Youll never get the kind of caring customer service anywhere else. I expected to pay more being a non conglomerate shop, instead was greeted by people that care about their craft and dealt a more than reasonable price for a high end piece of glass. There is no alternative for me but to shop here. A little care and giving a #£_& goes a long way. Thanks to you staff and cheers to seeing you next time

This place was an off the whim visit for me. I called about vape charging options and the guy that answered was very polite and knowledgeable. I made a stop in after my call and was helped as soon as I walked in the door. Spent a few minutes to look at other merchandise. A large variety of options and affordable as well. Will definitely be stopping here for all my glass and vape needs in the future.

I love this shop. I used to be able to ask for a small discount for taxes or negotiable prices on certain glass. Not the best vibes on my last purchase. Telling me I use the wrong gas to heat my quartz, telling me China glass and some of their torches are brand name.I think people get bitter when you ask them about their product quality... Or question it at all.Also the selection is dwindling, they have a few headies, but for the prices you can go to a real glass gallery like illusions and have a much better visit, plus find something in the same range even when on a budget.I chose this as my favorite shop when I first moved to Denver 9 years ago! Now it is just another brick in the wall.Also I remember when they offered free butane with a new torch.. to bad recreational has made glass shops this way.ALSO SOLD TO ME WITHOUT I.D., SO IF YOURE NOT OF AGE, HERE YA GO!My brand name torch fell apart almost immediately. The jet fell out from the tip after 1 dab session. Dont waste your money, go to illusions.

It was my first time at this peticular Heads Of State even though I have been a long time patron of this company. I have never had anything but an exemplar experience with their sister stores and this store has not only met those expectations but exceeded them. The shop was very clean tidy and the products were displayed beautifully was in a rush and unfortunately forgot to ask the gentleman running the shop his name but he was extremely polite attentive and unbelievably knowledgeable about all the products he was able to answer all of my questions as well as giving me very informed suggestions on my purchase. I apologize for not getting his name but would like to extend my gratitude to the yet to be unnamed gentleman, I will definitely be shopping here again. I would absoutly recommend this shop to anyone looking for wonderful products and unbeatable service. As always Heads of State never fails to exceed all expectations.

BUYER BEWARE! BAD PRODUCT! RUDE STAFF! I was sold a GPEN Vaporizer and once I got the product home soon realized the battery wasn’t holding a charge. Upon initial use I made sure to deplete the battery fully and completely charge because I understand the importance of priming a rechargeable battery. The charge on the battery only lasted about 5 puffs before it would start flashing a low battery indication. Thinking I had received a faulty product I returned to Heads of State the following day (less than 24 hrs after purchase) to a very unsympathetic/dismissive/rude employee. He attempted to blame the cartridge I was using but the specific reason I purchased this particular model was so it would work with the pre-filled cartridges I already owned! We even tested in the store before I bought it! The sloppy/scruffy employee then just pointed to the “all sales are final” sign and told me “no one had ever had this issue”. The business obviously doesn’t stand behind its products and costumer service isn’t a priority. Save yourself the frustration and take you money elsewhere.

Was the WORST. The Employee was Rude and made EXTREMELY REMATKS. IF I COULD RATE THIS PLACE A NEGATIVE 10 I would. I will NEVER set foot in this store again. That female employee there should be FIRED!!!

I used to come here and spend my money all the time. Now due to their ridiculous prices; I only come here to pick up papers.Staff is unwilling to negotiate on prices at all. I wanted a certain globe pen, that was gonna to total to over $40. I called another store down the street and was quoted $25. (I had it on speaker so the cashier could listen in).I asked if he could drop the price to $30, but to no avail.

The staff is very friendly and support knowledgeable. Stop by, I highly recommend this place.

I bought a nectar collector on Monday, Tuesday it broke in half, when we returned it to the store ..not even 24 hours later I was told that I could buy another one for a discount!! Went in this morning while on vacation and had an amazing experience. Found help with finding exactly what we needed and the staff was awesome. She didnt have the exact product we needed but recomended a better vape rig that works fantastic AND directed me to another local shop for a piece for my vape rig i brought with me.

BUYER BEWARE!!! Older guy that works there obviously has no knowledge of glass, they sell Chinese glass pipes that ANYONE can find on ANY website for under $5.00. Their price 25.00!!! When I asked about the $200.00 pipe (which I have a set of and personally know the glass artist) He rudely told me it is what it is. Now I have 5 of these I have purchased from $60-75 found through several different headshops! They are ripping people off and they know it. If you want a no name Chinese made $5 pipe GO HERE

Very dissapointed here. I had heard good things about the location but if other employees act like the one I interacted with then I have a hard time believing them.As a serious glass collector, I was really dissapointed by the service I received at this location. I have been through most of the glass shops in Denver and this is the first time I have been turned off enough by a salesperson that I decided to back out of a purchase. I have been searching for a long time to find the correct accessory for my piece and finally thought I found one that worked. When I asked the older bearded gentleman working there about it he was immediately very condescending and rude to me. He immediately began trying to explain what I was looking at despite the fact that I have blown some glass in the past. I expressed some concern about the perc design and asked to see it function in person (Ive seen other similar designs just suck up water). He refused to let me even see function which tells me it is most likely terrible. Dont trust anything you hear from them without being able to verify yourself. If not for the decent selection I would absolutely give them 1 star. If you feel you want glass from this company, go to the one on Colfax. Much better experiences can be had there or almost anywhere else nearby. I hope I never have to interact with this employee again. (Saturday, January 6th, around 4 p.m.)
