Limited parking but a very neat and well stocked store. Staff was friendly and helpful

Frequent customer.. I live / work downtown and have been enjoying the convenience of this establishment since it opened...Went here tonight, 2/10/2021... walked several blocks in freezing cold as I do not drive by choice.. upon arrival I found that the staff had closed early for no reason..I for one In addition to whomever will listen will not b spending any money within this establishment any longer as the higher ranks of this corporation clearly does not care who they have at the reigns of this particular location... a location that some of us actually depend on for necessary items and supplies in an area where there are little to no other options.

Was great to find out that they were within walking distance of our hotel. Had a Very large variety of things. Everything from food and drink to personal needs. And the 2 checkers were very polite. Had a nice conversation for the short time we were there.

Great store - Great people with a few exceptions. Purchased an item for approx. $4.00 told them it wasnt in my bag when I got to my residence. An associate told me I could buy another one. Spend approximately $100.00 to $125.00 there weekly. This was 3 weeks ago & havent been back.

Extremely organized, vast array of products, staff is always friendly - reminds you of the corner store where you grew up. I mentioned that they didnt have SHOUT for laundry - within a short time I was in the aisle looking for another product and I noticed they had SHOUT - they do try to accommodate your needs as a shopper.

Wonderfull customer service I havent seen a better crew of people happy with every last one of them so far, nice store still

I really love this store. Russell knows what he is doing as do the managers. Lots of inexperienced help though but hey, everyone has to start out, dont they? Some people want to forget that. I left my cane in there and was delighted to find it there when I came back. Inevitably will be comparisons to Walgreens. I prefer DGX. Just saying.....

I absolutely love this place. Its only about a 2 minute walk from my apartment and I love being able to get what i need when I come here. The store is very clean, organized, and the staff here are very friendly and helpful. Also, Andrea rang me up today and shes very friendly, personable, and very caring. She made me feel very welcome. Ill definitely come back to this location.

This Dollar General location is and was a godsend for all of us That live right here in downtown Des Moines, when you go in the door the 1st thing you think is how huge it is inside then when you start shopping every aisle has tons of items and a huge variety that the nearby Walgreens and hyvee Dont even come close to.This Store is laid out very nicely and orderly it is clean well lighted, And there are dozens of items that are only $1 that at other stores can vary up to $3 or more for the same thing and the same brand name.They recently added beer & wine as well, and For those that smoke, a decent selection of cigarettes and also VAPE ciggies/ supplies.So far, if i had to say any gripes at all, It would only be that last time I was in there they still do not carry club soda, only the small bottles of perrier which can be quite pricey.All in allThe new Dollar General is a well rounded, friendly, well stocked store.

Extremely disappointed in this locations inability to enforce the corporate and local mask/face coverings policies. I have called multiple times, but employees still fail to wear masks.
