I ordered a tool box online and it said it was in stock. The confirmation email even came back and said in stock. Now its on back order. I would not have ordered if I knew it wasnt going to be here on time. I understand that it is hard to get stuff these days but dont advertise that you have something you dont.

Great place to find quality tools

I wanted a small hand-held drill but I thought that I would only be able to get it from Milwaukee, but I found out that Dewalt also has a small 12 volt drill that is great for me to use and it was only $89. So far, Im happy with my purchase!

Stopped by to get a hatchet for my hunting buddy. The exact one i wanted was not on the shelf. Staff had me one delivered to my door in three days. Saving this customer another trip downtown or to another store. Thanks acme tools. I did not see section for WYLIE COYOTE HAHAHA.

Well they sell name products.But I am not happy with products that they sell and can not help with this issue.Have to go to the manufacturer to get help and they got a hold of them. And they still really dont care. The manufacturer had to get a hold of Bradley tools for Assistance to help me out still having issues but Acme still act like they dont care.

Lots of tools. spotty service which sometimes is good but more often is poor including staff who have no desire to help, dont know what how to help, errors in ordering items and problems with website. poor compliance with covid precautions.

Attempted to return a one-year-old Milwaukee Sawzall to the Des Moines store today as it no longer works. Although its still under a 5-year warranty, and theyre a Milwaukee authorized service center, they refused to service the unit because Milwaukee will not reimburse them at the rate they think they deserve. Unbelievable! Calling Milwaukee on Monday to let them know how ACME treats customers of Milwaukee products.

Best place in Des Moines for tools, equipment, and maintenance.

Basically every tool or accessories you could ever need. Also the best customer service, when we bought a chainsaw the worker was super polite and they even start the saw for you to check it works and he gave us a demonstration how to use the saw. Definitely coming back.

I visited the store for the first time today. I was impressed by the tidiness & the customer service was good. If you have brand preferences than this store seems to be primarily organized by brand & this may be the tool store for you. I was looking for best price, so I had to check five different sections to make sure, I had the best prices item.

Associates were too busy BSing and I had to interrupt their conversation to ask my question after waiting 10 min at the counter.

I know you probably have no control over this but if like to see accurate pricing online. When I google Bosch GLL 30, it shows your store having it for $39.88. When I get there, its around $80. Not sure where these prices come from.

Really bad customer service online. I ordered a snow blower in mid January. The website said it usually ships in 10-15 days. 15 days later I contacted customer support, and was told the item was on backorder but should ship in another 10-15 days. 15 more days later, I contacted them again and they told me it should ship soon. Pressed for a more specific ETA, they made a call and discovered that my snowblower wouldnt be available until June. June! They did not offer me a comparable item, or even apologize for the delay. They did offer to cancel the order, which I agreed was for the best. My advice: dont order online from Acme Tools.Update: Its been two months and I havent heard from the customer support team.

Bought this Klein screwdriver and used it for 1 week and the tip wore out. Klein warranty told me to exchange it at the place I bought it. The supervisor at the store told me this was normal wear and not covered under warranty.I will not be buying more stuff from ACME because this is not the first tool to break that they have given me a hard time with.

Acme claims to give 10% discount to members of Des Moines Woodworkers Club. Not today on purchase of metal cutoff disks as clerk said they were not for woodworking. Never saw that in the fine print. Harbor Freight next time. Very nice clean restroom.

For the greater part, Acme tools is a decent place to shop for tools. They do have a large selection, I found some stuff at Acme that was sold-out at all other places (DeWalt free battery promo - buy a tool and get a battery free - thats over 100 bucks in savings). For this, I should be grateful to Acme. I wuold have given it 4-stars but one small issue prevented me from doing so: I agree with some reviews - online ordering is not without its concerns - for instance I created an account and placed an order but I cannot find the order I placed even after several days. Second there is no way to know if my order is shipped as a whole or in parts.

I always hate going to Acme Tools. Because it always cost money! Its definitely the place to go for tools. I have spent a small fortune there. Love it! I was there on March 13th of 2021 and bought a few things. One of which was a Hack-zall 18 volt. I was suppose to get a free battery with it but still havent received it. The young kid made me pay $12.38 for shipping so they could send me the battery. I have do e business with this place for years and spent thousands on tools there. Never have I been charged for shipping. And I still havent received my battery! I called Friday evening, they said they would call me back. They never did. I tried all day yesterday to call them and just kept getting a recording. No one would answer my call. Ive been ripped off!

Service is friendly, but slow. I run into alot of problems at checkout when they go to charge me. Their system is very slow and takes about 15 minutes for them to finalize things. Ive been told its the system they have which is outdated.Second, I went to price match some tools I found online and they told me they wouldnt match the price because of the specific brand I was inquiring on. That there probably lost my business because I cant justify buying a tool for more money than if I went through the online store. Id prefer to have the tools I need, the day I need them and not have to wait half a week for an order to mail.

A bit pricey, but they have a good selection of tools. They are lacking on metric tools.

Have all the Milwaukee tools my heart desires.
