Mike at Urbandale is the most helpful, customer-centric manager I’ve ever worked with. My wife and I had a one-way truck and car trailer rental to move across the country; Urbandale was our drop-off location. We wanted to make two modifications to our order, so we started with the online account and phone calls. Those two approaches were useless. We showed up at Urbandale and Mike worked our case. Mike helped us get options that tremendously helped our move-in to Iowa. I was in awe how helpful Mike was and he simply stated “I know moving isn’t fun. I view my job as having the purpose to make peoples’ moving experience less painful. I like to help out where I can.”

Service was fast and very polite. The dolly was low cost and was in great shape. Will use this location again

One of my best experiences with U-Haul. The staff was super nice and helpful with picking up and dropping off the trailer. I will definitely use this location for any future needs over other locations.Its a little tight to maneuver a truck/trailer around, but manageable if you take your time.

Did online pickup and return of a 20 truck and went very smoothly. I rented blankets too which they forgot, but very quickly corrected for me. Very easy process overall!

I rentted a truck weeks in advance for 24 hours and had a confirmation email. Then the day before my move they cut it to a 12 hour rental and wouldnt even adjust the price. I requested a dolly and they didnt give me one. It was supposed to cost about 60 buck but cost 3 times that in the end. And to top it off i had to do the self check in and the website couldnt locate my order for half an hour when Im exhauseted at midnoght trying to be done. Literally not one positive thing to say about this experience.

Came in on a Saturday morning 7a to rent a truck. Person working got 3 people and me out the door within 10 mins. Great service! We will rent here again.

Worst experience I ever went through. Installed a hitch and wires on my truck and couldnt get it right they passed me around to three different locations and none of them could get my wiring right on my truck. All they could say was I dont know I dont know. They should probably stick to just moving and not installing nothing.

Great customer service! I just needed an idea of what items I was packing, and the gentleman helped me find everything I needed within the store. He even helped me carry my boxes to my car. Very much appreciated!

The young man working there today did an amazing job! He was the only one there working, it was busy, he had a lot going on, but he managed to handle it all seemingly with the greatest of ease. I dont know how much he makes, but he needs a raise...

Attempted to get a hitch receiver installed on my car. Appointment was made over the phone weeks in advance to give them the time to receive the parts. When I arrived for the appointment they didn’t have the parts. Made a second appointment only to have the same thing happen. Complete waste of time and extremely frustrating.

The check out was excellent and the staff was very helpful. However the online return failed to work several times and then tried to charge me again when I had already paid during checkout. (I now have been charged twice)

Poor parking, they closed earlier than advertised

Scammers. Tank wasnt even half way full when I picked it up. Drove maybe 5 miles with the truck... returned truck and told i needed to fill gas back to where it was left. Ended up paying 40 something in gas to drive it down the street. Awful business and customer service

Parking lot is cramped

Clean, efficient, with very friendly staff.

The store itself is ran very wildly. Tried calling multiple times and was continuously put on hold for long periods of time. When finally going to the store after checking online for reservations I was rudely told that they had no uhuals to rent. I will not return to this location.
