My experience with all-star service was 5 star from beginning to end.The all-star team are knowledgeable friendly and helpful they helped me decide which parts to choose to customize my Jeep Wrangler they knew exactly what I was thinking of doing for the build and went beyond what you would expect to find the right parts at the right price and treated me as a team member instead of a customer. Hands Down Best Auto ShopWe had been having recurring but intermittant problems with our PT Cruiser over the past year. It has been in and out of three different trusted and reputable shops with each shop feeling they had solved the core issue. Each time the issue would recur and it was getting frustrating and costly. The team at Allstar (Gavin, Brent, Nick & Techs) were able not only to correctly diagnose the root of the malfunction but replace the part and perform additional repairs in just a few hours. They do a good Job with your car But OMG there waiting room is Overbearing the entire time I was in there I felt like I was about to have a heat stroke They really need to invest in a a Fan or something I kept getting dizzy from the heat and constantly had to head outside to get some air. Absolutely Crazy.

Full synthetic oil change was quick and the check out process was smooth. Staff were courteous and knowledgeable. I felt the price of the full synthetic oil change was a little pricey, but nothing over the top.

All-Star has been my go to shop for over 12+ years. Personable and practical service that has always helped me keep my vehicles on the road. Recently had a tire that they plugged. When it was still leaking air they had me come in right on the spot to address it immediately. Turns out it was not the plug they had put in but another nail.

Love these guys! One day I was thinkin...my oil must need a change, then I forgot about it. The following week I get a text fr Gavin at Allstar saying my truck needs an oil change.

I really want to give these guys more stars, but I just cant do it after my experience.I had both of my cars come up with serious repairs at the same time, and I had heard good things about these guys so I had them take a look. Had them start with the water pump on my Forester. They said they would be able to take care of the wheel bearing I wanted as well, but after the water pump. He asked me which one I thought it was, and told me they would take care of it, but they did not. So I made another appointment for the following week.I dropped the car off today. They called me later telling me it was done, and quoted me somewhere under $700, cant remember the exact number. I thought it was high for a wheel bearing, but I just went with it. I get up there to pay for it, didnt hear the guy exactly when I handed him my card, but all of a sudden it was $760. They charged me $400 for a $200 wheel bearing. Claimed it was some algorithm that hiked it suddenly, but he did admit they pump the prices of parts. And oh boy, they sure do.Not sure if they intentionally were trying to make me come in multiple times for the same car, but they kept blaming the computer for these issues. If the computer is causing these issues, why is it leading to more and more money getting billed to the customer? Be leery, folks.

I have always had a great experience when Allstar works on my vehicles. Their technicians are top class. And their guys at the counter are always helpful and polite.

I’ve taken my truck here a few different times to get fixed. The staff is nice and helpful, but each time I’ve picked up my truck after being fixed something else has conveniently gone wrong with it immediately after, which has required more fixing. It may just be coincidence but it’s happened too many times for my liking. The prices I’ve paid and been quoted for my repairs have been quite steep and after doing more research I have come to the conclusion that they seem to be up charging for parts. Again, the staff was always very nice but after my experiences with the services they performed on my truck I have decided I won’t be bringing my business back here.

I got my car back today and Im thrilled. My car used to be so loud and you could hear me coming from a mile away, but not anymore. There were a few other things fixed as well and now I have peace of mind that my car is in good working condition and safe to drive. Bonus...I didnt have to go broke getting it fixed either. All the guys that helped me out were very nice and gave great customer service. If I ever need work done I wont hesitate to go back again. I would highly recommend them if you ever need your car worked on.

Sat here for an hour after the start time of my appointment before my car even went in to the shop. Told itd be about an hour. Another hour and a half and 90$ later still dont have a working car starter...In response to the owner: I was told itd take up to an hour, but usually less - not the 2 hours as you are claiming. I was there for over 3 hours. Also - I made a 10:00 appointment. I understand that you run a little behind but maybe give me a heads up that you are running behind as you knew I was going to stay there. And an hour is absolutely ridiculous!! What was the point of making an appointment if Im not going to be at that time or at least near it?I understand that you gave me an option but that was an extra $100+ on top of what I was already charged. Obviously your time is important and I need to pay for the time, but what about my time?

Was visiting from hours away and got a hole in our tire. These guys were great getting me in on short notice on a Saturday. It was a large staple in the tire and required a larger than normal plug. The fix was great and the staff was super friendly.

The staff really helped me get the right tires on my wifes car. After looking on Allstars website and sending in a quote request, the staff quickly called me back with good-better-best options. Since safety is important to me, I didnt want some cheapo knock-off tires on our Subaru. I went with a set of Goodyear Assurance tires and theyre great!We are 100% happy with the service and pricing at Allstar Service Center in Duluth.

I went and got it later that day, and now its been a month since I took it in and my car hasnt randomly shut down since!

Allstar Service Center goes above and beyond for their customers. Auto repair and pricing is great, their customer service is OUTSTANDING! You can get good repair and pricing at a few places... You cant or probably never will get the customer service we received from anyone else.Im a customer for life, as is my wife. We had an early snow, my wife was afraid to take the baby out in the snow to get the tires done. The guys at Allstar picked up, changed the tires and brought the car back to my wife. Who else is going to do that? Everything about Allstar is quality. I wish we had found them sooner.

I have known and trusted this crew for years now. I highly recommend them to you for honest quotes and service done right the first time. I trust the shop to the degree that last spring I took a pre-owned Toyota to them to look at before I bought it. They gave me the nod that I was making a solid purchase. The car is running perfectly. I believe they are the best mechanics in Duluth.

I stopped in at Allstar Service Center without an appointment on a Saturday afternoon in December. To make things worse it was -10 degrees, I was 200 miles away from home and I had already stopped in at six other service centers who would not even consider looking at my vehicle. The guys at Allstar diagnosed my power steering problem completed the repair and had me back on the road in less than an hour. Total cost; $48.20! They even displayed a pleasant/helpful attitude from the moment I walked in. I hope you stop by Allstar Service Center and give them a chance to service your vehicle.

My daughters truck was brought here for another service. On the way into their shop the steering gear box failed. We had the gear box replaced. After the truck was picked up the steering wheel was not straight when you went straight. I called the owner and complained and he towed the truck in and redid the work. He informed me of many other problems and i had u joints installed in driveshaft and sway bar bushings installed. When i went back the third time to pick up the truck the pitman arm grease cup was torn almost in two pieces. I got very upset and the owner repaired it for no charge. In truth i thought the cost of repairs was very high. I cant do much about that i guess. However if you fix something do it right the first time. If it takes three tries your service is way less than quality. Will never use that shop again

Seems like they did quality work. Very slow to raise up the fee when its a quick fix. And does not save parts so you can see what is wrong and what they replaced.

ALLSTAR is a rare breed in the automotive industry. All their employees are friendly and the shop is incredibly honest! I have taken my vehicle to them on four separate occasions over the years and the last time they charged me $300 less than the original quote after they found out that the calipers they thought needed replacing where actually still good to go! During another occasion, NAPA refused to honor a warranty on an expensive fix. Gavin worked with multiple parties (the store they buy their auto parts at, the original repair shop that did the work, etc.) to get my bill lowered by 80%! When I get quoted, I have never had to worry about whether I am being taken for a ride.

Ive had several experiences with Allstar auto. The first time I went there was to get a bearing replaced on my girlfriends car. Simple job and they were able to complete it. A few months later my truck wouldnt start, so I had it towed to Allstar auto. After a day they called saying it was fixed. When I went to pick it up they told me it just had bad gas in the fuel lines (which didnt make sense, because I had put a fresh tank in a few days earlier and ran the truck regularly) Some how they justified charging me $150 for this service, which seemed steep, but I was just happy to have my truck back. However before I got a block away my check engine light came on and it started misfiring badly. At this point I was just hoping to finish my last week of the semester at the U and get the truck home so I could fix it myself. However the problem got worse and later that week the truck wouldnt start. Allstar was the only shop that had time too look at it and I was desperate. So I brought it back to them. They once again insisted it was a issue with poor fuel quality. At this point they replaced the fuel filter and tried to convince me to let the drop the tank, claiming it had low fuel pressure due to a blockage. At the same time this was going on I sent my brother (who has no formal training as a mechanic) a 10 second video of the truck to turning over. Based on what he saw and heard in the video he said it was an ignition issue and that the distributor cap and rotor needed to be replaced. I passed the information on to Allstar and they got very upset with me for suggestion they might be wrong, and became very hard to communicate with. Luckily for me the truck was running again. Unfortunately the semester was already done so I had to drive 8 hrs to pick up a truck and pay them another $180, for doing no work. when I got the truck home the next day it wouldnt start again, so I replaced the cap and rotor for $50 and its been fine ever since (Its been over 3 years).I am amazed at how incompetent and arrogant this shop is. The charged me $330 for doing absolutely nothing. (except the fuel filter I didnt need). The shop also lied to me about the truck having low fuel pressure (I checked myself).I am also amazed that my brother who was over 1,000 miles away diagnosed the problem by looking at a 10 second video, and these professional mechanics couldnt figure it out even having it in there shop for days.Bottom line, these guys dont treat their customers right.

I brought my 2011 Honda Civic in to All Star for an oil change. The price they quoted me was for conventional oil - which most vehicles take. Turns out my new Honda needs a synthetic blend, which is about $10 more expensive. Brent (or Brett?) called and let me know this and to get my permission to add the oil and $10 to my bill. The fact that this place goes out of their way to keep you informed, instead of just charging extra (even if you really do need it!) means a lot. Thanks for the honesty and information ahead of time!

Went to them to get a headlight replaced on my car.First sketchy thing that happened, the guy quoted me the price for the part and installation, which sounded a high, and then AFTER he found out they didnt have the part, and had to order it from a dealer, he asked them right in front of me, how much it was going to cost him.So, my guess is he just pulled some number out his a** and wanted to make sure he was making a big buck off me.Doesnt end here. I went ahead and told them do it because I always feel like auto repair places shaft me anyways, and he told me the part would be in by the end of the week. So I gave them my number, made sure to double check he wrote it down right, and went home.The end of the week comes, no call. Next week comes, thanksgiving week, still no call. One more week, still no call.Till this day, I have not gotten a call back! After the third week I didnt even want to call them back because that would mean still having to do business with them.All I got from the experience was $40 out of my pocket to tell me something I already knew from their diagnostics expert, and then they didnt even order the part, or put it in their system!Would never recommend this place!
