Ive been going to Tires Plus for years in the Milwaukee area, and have always had a very positive experience with them. Sadly, this is not the case with the Duluth, MN location. I scheduled an appointment, received a confirmation, only to be told when I showed up for the appointment, that I should have received an email cancellation (which I never received). The gentleman working was not sympathetic, and when I told him I never received an email cancellation, he was quite rude, and implied it must have been my fault that I never received said cancellation...Avoid this place. Horrible customer service, and horrible organization.

These guys were great, helped me out when I was in a pinch. My brakes went out as I was driving down from Alaska and they got me in on a Saturday, short staffed, and got me out in a couple hours. Super kind and a good overall experience.

Typical tire chain, GFs car needed 2 tires and reset TPMS around 330 . Not bad price and appointment time was a few days out.

Stopped there after the Duluth air show to fix a tire that I got a hex screw nut in it. Needed this fixed cause we needed to drive back to St. Paul. It was 5 pm and they close at 6 pm. Couldnt help us and said they could do it on Monday. Told us to go to Firestone down the way. They didnt help us either. Neither were helpful at all. Wont be visiting either one of these stores in the future.

Excellent service!! Noticed I had a flat tire 30 minutes before close, they got me in, fixed the tire (nail in tire), and out of there right at close!!! I can’t thank you enough! Highly recommend.

Lied to multiple times, terrible service, worst technician: Zachary! Brought in a flat, was told it would be an hour. After 3 hours we called and they hadn’t even started on it yet. We were told when we dropped it off someone would put it back on our car. Not only did they not do that, but Zachary told us we we couldn’t put it on in their shop nor were we allowed to put it on anywhere on their property! $45 dollars to fix a flat and they won’t even put it back on the car! I would recommend avoiding this shop!

Everything was great but I had asked them to check the transmission fluid in my 4runner during other repairs. I came to pick up my vehicle and asked if they had checked it. The nice tech said they forgot. He asked me to pull around back in to the shop. Sure, no problem. I got back in to the shop and the mechanic said. I cant find the dipstick so youll just have to check the sight window. You can drive out over there now. I left thinking, I just paid you a bunch of money for the service. You should check the transmission fluid. It turned the experience negative. Ill go somewhere else now.

Had gotten new tires put on my vehicle at Tires Plus, after the tire replacement they tell me I have a bad wheel bearing, which I knew, but was not sure if it was passenger or driver side. The following day from getting the new tires, I drive to work and my steering wheel shakes between 50 - 65 mph, so to rule out my wheel bearing being the cause of the shaking/vibrating steering wheel, I replace the bearing. New wheel bearing installed and steering wheel shake is still there, a out of balance tire symptom, which is possible, but brand new tires caused me to question what service of work they were doing. I call Tires Plus and schedule an appointment for tire re-balancing, schedule the appointment, get the work done. The customer service representative tells me, The tires were slightly out-of-balance, but not enough to cause steering wheel shaking or vibration. We ran your car on the lift with the tires off to see if the shaking was still there; at 45 mph your steering wheel started to shake, which would lead us to assume it is in your drive-train and not the already out-of-balance tires. After this I wanted to make sure what they were saying was correct, I take my car to nearest road where I can drive between 50 - 65 mph, I get up to speed and no steering wheel shakes.Last note, when they initially put my new tires on, it took them less than 30 minutes I think, but I could be wrong. This will be the last time I go to Tires Plus. Customer service was good and I can understand that a tire could throw a weight causing it to become out-of-balance, but to tell me it is in the drive-train and its not.... They rush their work, end of story. I wouldnt trust them.

My car was having serious overheating issues as I was driving past here late one night - I went in out of desperation (Im not mechanically inclined, sadly) and they had me pull it into the back and had one of their mechanics look at it. They spent their valuable time and at least a gallon of coolant to help me out - completely free of charge. Thank you so much, you helped me get home to my family safe and sound that night and I wont forget it.

What a great crew at this store. we are up here on vacation and had our parking brake lock up on us. walked in and immediately was comfortable with the staff... great personalities all around ....just fun guys. took the angst away! told us up front there was no charge to look at it... ..........and proceeded to get us in immediately after they finished the job they were on. we walked over to caribou coffee, half my latte in they called and had released my problem! seriously recommend these guys! Had a punctured tire 38 miles away, out in Castle Danger. Drove back on my spare the next day. Called at 8am and had an online appointment at 12pm scheduled. Ed said over the phone if I showed up, theyd help us do everything. Appointment wasnt officially scheduled until 2:28 for that 12 appointment which makes 0 sense unless youre a time traveler - maybe dont even offer online scheduling then, if you cant get that straight. They put a new tire on and disposed of the old one for $107. I had to do everything else out front on my own, in the snow/sleet. They helped get the lug nuts to torque spec for free at least, when I pulled around. But, I feel I shouldve been deducted the labor charge after all of that and only paid for the tire itself. I get that youre busy, but it seems painfully obvious that youre prioritizing higher paying clients and not an emergency who needs to drive another 180 miles to get home. Thanks, but no thanks.

I was in a time crunch. I had scheduled my appointment 3 weeks in advance. Winter came early and they were super busy. I requested to drop my van off early in case they had time. They installed my tires and i was on the road an hour earlier than expected. Much appreciated. It was a nice early Christmas present

Tires Plus is fantastic! They always deliver service with a smile with good pricing and excellent follow through. They have worked with me about a dozen times over the last 5 years and every single experience has been blissful. I refuse to go anywhere else for tire needs.One of my favorite aspects of working with them is that theyre really good about letting me know if something needs to be done without forcing service on me. They normally quote out the service for me and when signing for work let me know what they found and the price they would do it for if I wanted them to. End of conversation. Heres a place that the employees were so helpful and understanding my car got work done was done within an hour and a half with everything I had done to it they answered all my questions and theyre Fair on their price I would highly recommend this place at least a starting place to get your car worked on

Ive been coming here for the last 3 year and I was always able to avoid their sell to change my batteries or get a coolant flush because I knew I didnt need it. Well this time they said they wont switch out 2 of my winter tires for summer tires unless I bought 2 new tires. They claim that they were older than 10 years and it was illegal for them to switch it except for my other 2 summer tires that were also 10 years old but were fine to switch. Doesnt make any sense. All my summer tires are fine. I overhead them trying to convince another lady new tires too because they were 10 years old and the bearings were off. Again doesnt make sense. Before I left, they told me I had an oil leak from a defective filter they replaced a few months ago for me when I got an oil change there. Well how nice. I went to get my other tires switched at another place called A**S*** down the road at 60% of the price Tires Plus changed me. Also last time when Tires Plus offered to change all 4 of my breaks for $1200 I found a place in St. Paul that would do it for me for $400. Im writing this review in hope of helping others save their money and not get scammed.

I was driving down Central Entrance today 5:00PM Monday July, 13th. when my car popped a flat. Fortunately I was driving right by Tires Plus so I decided to pull right in feeling lucky that it happened there rather than far away. I talked to the guy at the front desk, who I believe to be the manager, who informed me they couldnt take any more cars because they had only 2 guys working and 10 cars waiting in front of me.If you know anything about patching a tire, you know it takes less than 15 minutes for a professional to do correctly. They also closed at 8:00PM, which meant they were open for 3 MORE HOURS... I was reluctantly willing to wait, but the manager told me the best he could do is tomorrow morning, if I felt like leaving my car there overnight... For a tire patch!?!?!? Thanks but no thanks!I understand being busy and having other people in front of me but only scheduling 2 people to work and having an alleged 3-hour minimum wait is just plain incompetence from a scheduling standpoint. This isnt the middle of Winter, so no one should have to wait more than 2 hours for a simple patch job. I ended up going to Sams Club down the road and was out in 15 minutes.Bottom line, save your money and time and just go to Sams Club or anywhere else for that matter.

Jeremy and the rest of the crew are very friendly. Good service with decent technicians. Only down side is they are a little pricey, worth it though. Theyve kept my car running for years and I keep coming back because they dont BS me.

My job is 100% commission so customer service is very important to me. Anyways this morning my vehicles axle broke, after calling 5 tow companies someone finally answered (Get Hooked Towing) and he told me only a couple of places were open on Saturdays so I had my vehicle towed to tires plus. Jeremy called me and gave me a quote to fix both sides of my ankle and I told him Im sorry but there is no way Im paying that much to fix the junker Ive been driving around so we hang up. He called me back a few minutes later giving me another option to fix just the broken side at a much better price but told me that Ill need to fix the other side of the axle also or this could happen again. Jeremy had my vehicle up and running in one day and gave me fair options so I could make a good decision on what I wanted to do. He turned a very stressful situation into a much much less stressful one.

Their over the top service gets you back on the road right away, whether you are a regular customer or someone who just comes through the door with a problem. We came in on our way out of town for an oil change, which turned into a more detail car fix. They guy there were so sweet and helpful! I had my 3 little kids with me, but they offered them toys and games to keep them busy. Service was excellent and we were back on the road in a shorter time than I expected. A store full of knowledgeable gentlemen!

If I could give 0 stars, I would have. DO NOT trust this business with anything other than tires and even that I suggest loosely. My 61 year old mother went in for a flat repair and after buying 4 new tires, talked into applying and receiving a $2000 line of credit, was then told she needed a new control arm costing $1406! Along with the flat, she told them she was hearing a noise in her steering and asked them to take a look. After inspection, Ed explained the issue: she needed 2 new ball joints. Instead of charging her for the ball joints, he priced her for a new control arm instead, advising its cheaper to get the whole arm than the cost of labor & parts for the ball joints, due to having to remove the control arm anyway. Thank God I told her to wait until I was visiting from Arizona and could get more info! More shadiness ensued when I contacted the store, but Ill cut to the chase. Took it to Sears for a second opinion...ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG! They did however fix the noise my mom was hearing...turned out her spare tire wasnt bolted down in her trunk and was clunking when she turned the corner! Sure, theyre nice, just not honest. ABSOLUTE SHEISTERS! Prime example of why people, women especially, are suspicious of repair shops! Stick to tires Tires Plus.

On our way home from vacation on the north shore, our alternator died a mile from Gooseberry Falls. Since it was a Sunday there was nothing open in Two Harbors and 2 places in Duluth that were open- Tires Plus and Firestone. After reading the reviews, we decided on Tires Plus. We called Tires Plus, they said they could get us in and gave us a quote of $412. They knew our predicament and had us in and out in 2 hours and the bill was $411 and some change. GREAT service and staff!! I would highly recommend- they are great for more than just tires!

Took my car here to get a slow leak on my tire fixed after another place told me it was unfixable. I got amazing service and they kept me undated along the way! Would highly recommend coming here. They saved me a ton of money by not having to replace all my tires

This location absolutely scammed me. Do yourself a favor and go to Firestone by the mall. Same company, same great tires, no shady managers. Didnt realize until I drove half way across the country and went to another Tires Plus location. I was sold clearance tires that were manually marked up in price, the wrong size for my vehicle, and opposite of what I asked for. I noticed how loud the set was, and realized I had an overall drop of 9 MPG on my trip. I had requested eco friendly, quiet riding tires. Was sold borderline racing tires, which were in the process of detaching themselves from the rim, due to the wrong size and application for normal driving. Safety and cost of gas aside, the manager at the Indianapolis location also noticed two of the tires (which I bought extra warranties for) had fudged serial numbers in their system. Had the manager at the Indy location not have noticed the other red flags on my receipt, it would have appeared that I swapped the tires myself and passed them off as new, according to the serial numbers. Happy to report the other location caught the errors, and provided me with a new set of tires.

The staff upfront was extremely nice. I scheduled an interior detailing. My appointment was at 8 am and was told it would be 2.5 to 3 hours. 4.5 hours later I got my bill. The lady upfront expressed her apologizes at having taken so long; however the young man who gave me my bill seemed to have cared less. Then I looked in my car. I had a small hole in my wet okoli seat covers and the latch belt for my infants car seat was still attached at one end to a latch. The car seat itself was in the back of my forester. It appeared that they were unable to release one of the latches so they decided to break the plastic piece that attached the latch belt to the the car seat.

Garbage experience, unbelievable was willing to spend almost 900.00 dollars on a set of tires I desperately needed and was told couldnt do it till Tuesday, I am not from Duluth and that is not a possibility. I am in customer service and I was taught that you never turn down business, i will purchases tires elsewhere and be sure to share my experience. Shame on you Tires Plus.

I dont trust this place at all. Ive gone to the superior location for oil changes and tire rotations with no issues. took it here and all of the sudden my car is making a funny noise after a tire rotation. Bring it back once and they claim its no big deal. Second time they say Im going to need $1,000 worth of work! Got a second opinion and got more for my money and some of the work they talked about didnt need to be done! Dont bring your car here! Ill never make that mistake again.

Had decent service with decently priced tires, but have heard some awful things about this place as well as a few good things. Id just be cautious going there. They need to crack down on their service and make sure its good enough to change the online reviews.

Went to another tires plus to realize that this one didnt tell me I needed my calipur changed before I had to owe more money to get it fixed with new breaks and rotors. Go somewhere else to get any breaks changed or make them show you whats going on before you lay down the money.

Didnt do my alignment right. Didnt do it when I brought it back in. I had just had my tierods done on my car the day before I brought it in to them and they kept telling me I needed new ones. Extremely pushy and rude

They wont mount used tires for liability purposes, which is just ridiculous, and they charge more for an alignment than local shops. Thats the kind of stuff that stinks about large companies like this. I had a used tire, so I told them I wanted one new tire, and asked for an alignment. They said they cant mount my used tire.

They went out of their way to fix us up and get us on our way. More than highly recommend.
