I was leary about bringing my car to the Firestone dealership. You always hear how the bigger dealerships are more expensive and take longer. That was NOT the case here. They were quicker than they estimated and priced exactly as estimated. Im very happy with their service.

I had a bearing go out on my pickup while on vacation. They were one of very few places open on a Sunday and we’re able to get me in, and inspect my vehicle, change out the hub assembly and get me on the road.I will be forever grateful they were able to get me in on short notice.They have a loyal customer if I am in a bind in the area again.

Decent store location being by mall. Just think a bit more expensive than should be. But, thats my own opinion. I still use them so not that terrible

I was looking for a tire installation center that was national because I go to university in Wisconsin but live in Missouri, and when I called this location I was treated with respect, dignity, and care about my concerns. I was told that there was a Firestone near where I live back home. So I brought my vehicle in and within an hour and a half the professionals were done with putting on all four tires I had purchased. The service, professionalism, care, and authenticity of character I received was well worth a good review and I am loving my new tires and will be back for various services! Thanks!

Stopped there around 5 pm on Saturday to get a screw out of my tire and get it fixed. Simple fix but said they were just too busy and couldnt get it done til Monday. No help even trying to squeeze it in. Was very unhappy with this place.

Outstanding service. We were on vacation and our alternator went out. They got working on it right away and we were able to finish our trip with confidence.

Was helped by Tim who was able to call me back first thing in the morning with a quote on strut repairs. I was first quoted a price that I thought was a little steep. I shopped around and was able to get quoted a price almost $300 less from another shop. Talked to Tim about this who ended up calling around and was able to price match. Very professional and quick to take action. Even though I was still a couple bucks more than the other shop, I gave them my business because they went the extra mile.Only reason not 5 stars is because I would have liked optional pricing from the get go. But in the end a great solution was found.

We got a flat tire during our stay in Grand Marais and could not find any open repair shops on Labor Day. The people at this Firestone were incredibly helpful and got us in on the same day. Cisco kindly talked to my dad on the phone to help us get the right tires; they fixed us up and we were on the road again in two hours. We highly recommend - thank you so much for your great service!

The service advisor my husband dealt with was not very good at listening to the description of the issue. Which in turn lead to a misdiagnosis and a unnecessary repair that did not fix the issue.However, the manager was very respectful about wanting to hear all sides of the story and was dedicated to making everything right. The correct repairs were made and he refunded the difference from the unnecessary work that was done.All in all he is a good honest person that wants to make sure everything is done right and the customer feels good about the work that is done.

Amazing! My wife insists they are the only shop she wants to do business with them. A lot of mechanics talk down to you if you dont know anything about cars, especially if your a woman, but not at Firestone. Here they dont care about how knowledgeable with cars you are. Always willing to help take the time and explain what they did and what issues they found.

Had the full car inspection done the other day thinking my car was out of alignment. After the inspection I now have a better idea of what the actual issue is.The quality of the inspection surprised me, it was a lot better than I was expecting. A couple issues that could have been easily overlooked was found by them and pointed out to me in a detailed way. The print out of your cars inspection showing what it passed and failed on is nice for a quick look at what the trouble areas are.The tech took time to explain ways I can fix some of the issues on my own, and what type of work they would require. He also mentioned a few things I should keep a eye on as they are starting to show signs of wear.The Full Car Inspection was extremely helpful to me and I would use their services again in the future! After getting my issues fixed, I will be coming back for that alignment!

I have always gone to Firestone for tires, as well as when I needed a quick repair - they were always more than accommodating to my busy schedule . Agree Firestone is more expensive than your local little garage however - I have always dealt with Cisco who has always been very honest, and helpful and done everything he could to get me back on the road ! ( hence never tried to sell me anything I didn’t need, which I so appreciate! ) they also have always backed up all of their work !! - You pay for what you get ! 5 stars in my opinion !!!

Thanks to the diligence of experienced staff I was able to get a 26-year-old truck correctly aligned which is nearly impossible but this guy really knew what he was doing and I highly recommend the Firestone team.

We were visiting from out of town when our breaks needed to be repaired ASAP. Firestone fit us in that same afternoon we called. Within two hours, our breaks were fixed (they even found us a coupon) and we were on our way so we could continue enjoying our vacation. I would highly recommend this Firestone location!

I was in a Enterprise rental and they have a contract with them for tire repair/replace. Their staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and place was clean.

The team at Firestone provide excellent service and are much more honest than their competitors. Ive had a series of repairs needed done on my vehicle and they are cheaper than nearby shops and they do excellent quality work. Jay and Tim are super friendly and they are very detailed in explaining what the repair issue seems to be. As long as I live in Duluth, theyll be fixing my ride.

I just want to say that I spent EXTRA money on snow tires that I was told were supposedly amazing in the winter and I was gypped. My car can barely make it out of a parting space with 0.01 inches of snow let alone drive up the emergency snow route. All in all, moving to another state so my snow tires never have to see snow again.

Are you kidding me? If youre angry at your car for needing to be repaired then I guess you should go find the dealership that sold you it and rate them low. Because this is the best full service shop in the nation hands down. The only place Id trust my 3rd born daughter to be raised by. If that doesnt tell you everything you need to know, then I will have my Pastor pray for your soul.

Our truck broke down in Duluth. Actually oil was pouring out of it. Tow company took it to Firestone, they said wouldnt be able to get to it for a couple days but they got to it the next day and were back on the road. Thanks guys. You were a great help

We were in Duluth for the weekend to visit our two sons going to college there. Our 2010 F150 started running horribly. It was Saturday afternoon at 3pm. I started calling around to places hoping to find a place that would look at it on such short notice. Firestone was the only place that would take it. Jay was awesome. The truck actually had two different issues which made troubleshooting more difficult. They went above and beyond to remedy both problems without just throwing parts at it. They worked past closing time on Sunday to get me back on the road....Thanks again Jay and Cisco. Next day I received a call from Jay asking how the vehicle was running and on top of that taking $137 off my bill because he noticed they charged me for a part they didnt end up having to replace. My wife and I have always been impressed with the service provided here, but a recent experience deserves special mention in this regard. After they completed a brake job (pads and rotors front and back), we noticed an intermittent high pitched sound when braking. This became worse over the course of 3 weeks, prompting us to return. They immediately looked into the problem - no waiting. Despite not being able to reproduce the sound themselves (of course), and not finding any obvious problem when examining the brakes, they redid the entire brake job under warranty!!! Problem fixed. This is definitely our go to place for routine car maintenance.

Fast and great services! Had a tire pop on my way to work and they took my car in with no appointment. After finding out the tire couldnt be replaced, they gave me an option of getting the same one or a different one they had on hand. I opted for the same tire and it was only a day and they had the job all done for a low cost! Definitely going back!

The employees are friendly and informed. All decisions are final through me after the situations have been explained. The snow tires I recently purchased enable me to ascend even the steepest Duluth hills.

Great service yet again at Steve’s! Had 2 tires replaced and was impressed they searched around for the best tires for a decent price. Also gave me the price out the door ahead of time so I could compare to other locations to determine if it was the best for my budget—it was.

Overall, not impressed. Took my truck in as I had heard a squeaking coming from my breaks and wanted to get it checked out. After the quote, they stated that my rotors were going out. They explained that soon the breaks squeaking would get worse, start shaking when applied, and eventually go out. They also stated that my breaks pads were ready to be changed as well. Considering the quote was rather expensive, I decided to get a second opinion with an auto mechanic I trusted (originally didn’t use him due to a long commute). After getting a second opinion, I found that my break pads still had half their life in them, routers had some normal wear and tear, but nothing concerning. A year later and my breaks are still just fine and have not had any issues as it was suggested I would by Firestone. They seemed to try and sell any little thing they could to me (exp. by stating I needed new windshield wipers and included it on my estimate). It’s nice they give a free estimate but from experience is not always accurate. Tread lightly around firestone in Duluth.

I got my tires through them and didnt have any issues till one started leaking so I brought it in to get fixed and by the time I got home it was already leaking. So I went and got it fixed again and the next day the opposite tire was leaking. Shouldnt every tire get a quick check? Also it shouldnt have to have been brought back in the first place

Very professional team at Firestone service center in Duluth, MN. I am on am on a trip from Florida and my air conditioning quit in my older Dodge truck. Dodge dealers in a 100 miles radius were unable to fit me in their schedule. I called Firestone of Duluth and they squeezed me in that same day. When no one had the necessary parts My service tech, JAY, had a connection in Minneapolis and was able to get the parts in two days. I have the air conditioner fixed the next day. I couldnt be happier with their service and Jay who really made it all come together. Great job guys.

Cisco Hayward was incredibly helpful and kind in diagnosing and fixing the complex issues with my vehicle. My only complaint is the total cost is about twice what my local shop charges. My local shop Junction Tire Carlton, was under performing to say the least is why I was forced to make the switch. The higher price is nearly worth having the issue fixed correctly the first time.

Jay and Langston were beyond helpful, curtious, and prompt. My car needed tires and they were able to get me in the very next day when one of my old tires blew when hitting a pothole. They installed all the tires and were concerned about a ball joint. Called and talked to me with a price quote that was actually lowered after the install. Would recommend for all tire needs! He made me feel like the information that I was providing was important, and that I wasnt dumb! I dont know much about cars at all, so calls about possible problems make me very uncomfortable, but he set me at ease.

I cant say enough good about this place! We were in town for the day and had some major car troubles. They worked us into their very busy schedule. Might be good at what they do, but honestly horrible people. my husband worked there, he needed a couple days off to bring our son to the childrens cancer center In Minneapolis (it was an emergency) and the ONLY thing Jay was worried about was if he got his shift covered. wasnt understanding at all, when my husband went back to work not only were all his coworkers rude but Jay (the store manager) ignored him, refused to talk to him when he tried. my husband ended up quiting. Im disgusted with this place and I will never nor any of my family bring our business back here.

Unbelievable service and great people! We were heading up to Canada for a fishing trip that we had been planning for years. While crossing over the bridge from Superior Wi into Duluth, I ended up having a breakdown. I was able to limp my truck and boat into the Firestone parkinglot. Keep in mind this is on a Friday evening at 5pm. The store was only open for 2 more hours, while walking back out to my truck, a technician (Jason) came over to check out the noise. He was able to take a closer look and diagnosed the problem. The staff was then able to order a part locally and have it rushed over. I was back on the road within an hour and 20 minutes. We went from thinking that our trip we had planned and saved for was either ruined or going to be shortened to meeting with some of the nicest people we have ever met who went well above and beyond to get us back on the road. I also should add that there was only 2 technicians on site this evening and most bays were filled (they likely ended up staying late to finish other work in order to help us out)I cant express how thankful my family and myself are to the staff and Firestone most notably the technician Jason.

Awesome place to go. All price range of tires, a real mechanic on staff, and theyll try to squeek you in if they can. Has new tires installed, an alignment, they found some other stuff wrong with the vehicle too. Im a backyard mechanic so I knew they werent fooling. Great financing and online receipts available.

Good price on winter tires

I was having exhaust issues, but they dont do exhaust repair. However, they called a nearby exhaust repair place and I was able to get the car in and repaired quickly. So Firestone is very helpful!

Rolled in with a TPMS issue from somewhere else. Tim literally dropped everything to deal with it. Above and beyond, been buying tires from these guys for years, nobody more fair.

If you like explains to a ‘technician’ how to their job aligning your vehicle over the phone, this is your place. Save yourself by going to a place where they actually know the logic behind what you are doing. I would recommend Johnson Frame and Axle. I usually go there but this was a weekend emergency situation that I now regret. Oh, and the customer service rep lied to me and wouldn’t let me talk. Keep up the good work guys.

Im permanently relocating out of the Duluth area in a few weeks, and this Firestone location is one of the things Ill actually miss. Seriously, this place is outstanding, and a rare example of consistent, caring, and excellent customer service in the Twin Ports. This is not the first outstanding review of this location that Ive left, and it is with good reason.My 1995 Ford Bronco is a rare model in Northern Minnesota (moved here from NM four years ago), so finding a technician capable of working on it can be difficult. Happily, on my MULTIPLE visits to this location--whether I had this and/or another vehicle towed for emergency service, or just for routine maintenance--over the last four years, the crew here has always provided outstanding customer service.A few issues with my Bronco required some head scratching and multiple visits to resolve, but Cisco, Tim(?), and the other customer service rep (apologies for not remembering names) were always helpful, resourceful, and kind. In the case of this last visit with my serious idle issue, Garret (again, apologies if I got the name wrong) was probably the only tech in the Northland capable of diagnosing the root causes and correcting them.Accordingly, this location can and should boast of not only its excellent customer service, but also of its technicians who are capable of thinking outside the box and coming up with creative solutions that rectify unorthodox mechanical issues.

Even with years of loyalty, they continue to take advantage of me. Got a flat on a 4 month old tire, they wouldnt warranty, but instead I had to buy another new tire. This is the second time happening to me with them. Time to switch to a new tire company.

I must have called 15 auto repair shops in the Duluth area. Many of my interactions over the phone were quick, impersonal, and from a seemingly stressed out person looking to get you in - get you out. However, two shops that really stood out were Firestone (where I got an estimate in person) and Tires Plus (both are Bridgestone retail operations). I received really good vibes from the people working at Firestone. After my free vehicle inspection I was given a clear description of what the problems were, as well as a recommended time frame I had to fix them. I got the feeling that these people care about you personally more than they care about your business. You may find a cheaper estimate elsewhere, but the trust that Firestone instills is extremely valuable. I will definitely be going back for my needed repairs and would recommend everyone to check them out.

I got towed in at 730 PM after my tire exploded on the highway. I didnt have an appointment, and they still had me back on the road by 8. So thankful for fast, accessible and inexpensive service.

My son is in Duluth attending college. The blower motor in his car suddenly stopped working. No blower = no heat. Thats pretty important in Duluth in January. After checking the fuses, my son brought his car into Miller Hill Firestone to diagnose the problem. The shop told him he needed a new resistor and a new blower motor. $500+ repair estimate. (also charged $50 for the diagnosis). My son called and asked me my opinion. I told him that in my experience it would be odd for the motor to suddenly die and also for the resistor to go bad at the same time. Luckily the temperature was just above freezing that day and my son had some time off. He drove the car home (without heat) to the Twin Cities where we installed a new resistor ourselves, in about a half hour, for $70. Problem solved, $400+ saved. Lesson learned.

Just called them, very short on the phone, didnt respond well to my answers almost like they didnt believe what I was saying. I agreed to bring my car in Friday March 8th and the associate, named Chris perhaps, said we will see you next Monday... Which is the 4th...

I’ve been sitting in the waiting room since 9:00 am, it’s now 11:00 am, and our car is no where near being done. All we came in for was winter tires. They removed our current tires, and supposedly spent 45 minutes looking for the winter tires that they had on hand just yesterday. They eventually told us they’d missplaced them, and that the only tires they could put on cost $200 more, and that they would have to get them brought over from another location. So, do as you will with this information, but I wouldn’t trust the people working here, we’ll be going elsewhere from now on. UPDATE: After our tires had finally been changed we get home, and open our trunk to find they kept our summer tires which we on multiple occasions had told them we wanted. On our way back, this has cost my fiancé a day of work with all their nonsense. UPDATE 2: One day later, and at least one of our “new” tires is leaking air. Again this is leading to lost wages for my fiancé.

Took my car in for a slow leak on my right rear tire. They told me it was unfixable and would need all new tires. Went elsewhere for a second opinion and they were able to throw on a patch and fix it. Go here if you would like to pay for unnecessary services.

Bait and Switch! These guys are not in business to they are competent. This business pulled a bait and switch. I had a e-coupon for a $17 oil change. They said they didnt stock my filter and I would have to pay close to $40. It retails for $6. I asked If you dont stock it where will you get it? Four oclock on a Sunday... Turns out if I pay for their filter they magically have it in stock. What a F-ing waste of my time. When I told a few friends about this they ALL said NEVER GO THERE! One friend was quoted for shocks and new tires $1500 over anyone else in town. AND, they charge you for an estimate. Save yourself the trouble and go anywhere but this place. I hate it when people take advantage of people in the Nothland just because they can. Because most of us want to believe the best in people. These people are not the best. The worst would be more accurate.

Great service and friendly...we were coming home from a trip and ran over debris in the road and ended up having to repair the tire they were able to get us in and back on the road in a little more than an hour on a Sunday afternoon.

They always go above and beyond and the staff has always been very friendly and helpful.

This place has terrible customer services. They charge fee for inspection, which is normally free in other places. I brought my car there because my brake line was rusted and leaking, and they charged me $1,300 to replace the line. I then brought my car to Break Plus, just a couple blocks down on the Central Entrance, and they fixed it for $250 with free inspection. PLEASE do no go there, they are evil!
