Amazingly friendly and attentive staff! Im a self-taught knitter, and this was my first time buying quality yarn for a big project; I was nervous and indecisive. The two ladies working at the time took me around the store, showing me each yarn that would work for my pattern, as well as giving me tips and tricks. I felt very welcome and helped :) The complimentary winding service was also great! My only wish is that I didnt live 6 hours away from this store so I could visit again sooner! :)

Might not be the biggest yarn store in the world, but definitely have a great selection and a friendly staff! I am new to the fiber world and don’t know all the terminology, but the staff were very understanding and helpful when I might have been asking very obvious questions. Only wish they had a more funky selection of bulky yarn! Haha!

I am a young knitter who is still learning about knitting and Yarn Harbor has never made me feel anything but welcome!! The employees are so kind and always offer to help me with questions or learning new skills. They give great tips, pointers, and advice about projects :) I will always go to Yarn Harbor because of their large selection and wonderful customer service.

Yarn Harbor has a great variety of yarns and supplies. Staff was friendly and helpful. I am going back tomorrow! Coffee shop is a couple blocks away - a nice walk when you take a break from knitting. They were playing my kind of music, a real treat all the way around!

This is a great little knitters paradise with friendly staff and a really nice selection of yarns and knitting/crocheting accessories. The staff offer classes for beginners and long term knitters alike and their back room is perfect for sitting and getting a few rows done while chatting with like minded people.Dont go in expecting to find the yarn selection youd see at a big hobby store like Michaels, Joanns, or Hobby Lobby but know that this will be higher quality yarn. This means of course that it is a bit more expensive but it the variety in weights, textures, and even sources for the yarn is what brings in the hard core knitting community.

The best yarn shop in the northern half of the state. Clean shop, friendly staff, a bit small compared to the shops in the Twin Cities but thats a couple hours drive south.

Fantastic selection of supplies - I was particularly happy to find they carry a nice variety of mending wool!

They have the most beautiful selection of yarn and some really knowledgable knitters to help with any questions you might have! The store itself has a cozy, warm atmosphere that is welcoming and sincere. Im so glad this store exists and I tell so many people who hint at being interested in knitting and crocheting to go check out yarn harbor :-)

So today for their sidewalk sale (we didnt know they were having one, and that today - Saturday - all of the sidewalk stuff was 50% Off!) I found a beautiful yarn that knits up as a stripped scarf... But everything is in German. So the sales lady, and the customer ahead of me tried finding the pattern anywhere on the internet. Then the adorable and helpful sales lady says, hmm... I wonder... and she slips the band off the yarn. We came to conclusion that the pattern would be there, and why didnt we think of that in the first place, and oh! its all in German. Thank goodness for Google Translate. I really hope its the right pattern.Love all the ladies who work at Yarn Harbor. If you go on your birthday month, you get 15% off regular priced yarn. You have to be apart of their club-type deal, but it doesnt cost anything to join. They email only once a month, and they keep track of your purchases... And when youve spent X amount on yarn, you get another deep discount! I love Yarn Harbor. Its my happy place.
