I loved this place. The set up is clean, smells fresh, and organized not only by brand but by what the products are used for. They dont have a huge amount of fabrics, this store is mainly sewing machine / replacement store and if the accessories isles in Joanns was expanded.Everyone was super friendly and eager to help with any questions I had. Emmet ( I believe their name is) was so helpful. They explained things in a way that didnt make me feel like an idiot and helped me get the best price for the quality I wanted.I definitely recommend stopping by and checking it out!

This establishment has wonderful customer service with very helpful associates! Julene was very knowledgeable about their sewing machines and helped me every step of the way in finding one right for me. She also made sure to let me know about all the discounts that were available to me, including the lifetime fabric discount! I definitely recommend shopping at the Atlanta Sewing Center!

The staff at the Duluth location are so wonderful and welcoming! I can not say enough great things about my experience here! I’ve had my eye on a Baby Lock for awhile and was finally able to bring her home! I’ve named her Betty and I am obsessed! So happy to have this small business not too far from home for all my sewing needs!

I took my “old” bernina machine in in desperation. Louise, the manager, was calm, cool and collective!!! She sat down and remedied the problem quickly and effortlessly. Never has anyone been more helpful and gracious!! Thank you so much!! Hopefully others will see this post and even visit your store for fabric or notions!!! Again “THANKS” Louise and your staff

I was quite disappointed with the owner. I was told by staff that the owner said he would give me 100% trade in for machine I had recently bought there 4/5/20, as they were out of machine i had, and I hadnt had it very long.(6 weeks). Coming back the next day with my machine to trade up from mechanical to computerized. I was told that they would only do a trade in IF I bought a much higher brand model. I had been looking at various machines, but could only afford to go up double my price not 4 times that. Its sad when you try to support a small business and they do not honor their word. I have been to the store numerous times and have also enjoyed most of the staff, but after this experience I might have to change from a Bernina to something else.

Asked for two cloth license plates to be mailed to me. These are approximately 10 x 5 inch pieces of cloth, usually packaged in a plastic bag with a piece of cardboard. Price of each is $5.00, which was about what other shops are charging for theirs. The wanted $10.00 for mailing! I have had them mailed from Colorado and it only cost $2.99. They will fit in a business envelope and mail for 2 stamps. Or charge me more for a manilla envelope, which is fine. $10.00 means they didnt want the business. No problem here, not only did I not purchase them I will not be doing business with them at the various quilt/sewing shows I frequent in the South.

I visited with my daughter (who was getting tired/hungry) to see what is available in sewing machines and fabric. They have Babylock and Bernina machines. Both of the Michelles were very happy to talk with me and tell me about the different types of machines. And were happy to chat with my daughter who was looking through their fabric displays. The fabric selection is for quilting and consists of calico, and more calico, and more calico.

This Bernina dealer is a lovely shop for fabrics as well. They have a huge classroom and do machine repairs. They also have a huge selection of sewing tables as well.

Review №39

In 2015, I purchased a Tempo Babylock sewing machine. At that time, it was recommended that I also purchase the extension table (BL50A-ET) in case I need to use it later. Well later is in 2019. I tried to install the extension table for about 30 minutes and it wouldnt work. I called Babylock Consumer Helpline only to be told that I was given the wrong extension table. What?! I spent $80 on the table alone. I called the Atlanta Sewing Center (Duluth location) to inform them of what had happened. As expected, with new ownership and management, I could not return or replace it. $80 went down the drain. I would have to buy the correct extension table (model BLR-ET) for $150 plus tax. Really?!As a beginner in sewing, you go to these establishments having faith that the people there are competent and are providing you correct guidance. Im extremely DISAPPOINTED and saddened that I was given the incorrect extension table and finding this out years later. Trust me Ive learned my lesson, an $80 lesson. ASC just lost a customer.I do need the extension table and hopefully another retailer has it in stock for much cheaper. So Ill be shopping around online now that I know the correct model number.Lesson Learned and Warning to Others: First check with the company (e.g. Babylock) before buying any sewing machine accessories, especially if your buying it from ASC-Duluth. Make sure youre buying the right parts b/c you dont want to throw your hard earned money down the drain, and sadly these days you cant rely on or trust sales reps to provide you the correct information, especially if you are new to sewing or any other hobby.

I wont be shopping at the Atlanta Sewing Center Marietta store again. Ive had several less than stellar experiences there with staff members and am very disappointed. I have talked to the manager and attempted to email the owner and nothing has been done. My husband bought me a brand new bernina for my birthay and not only was the staff unhelpful in person, they were rude on the phone. Since I still will need to take care of my machine Ill be going to the Duluth store. Ive heard good things about that location. While its much farther from my house, Im willing to travel for better customer service. If youre looking for a place that will take care of you, avoid their Marietta store.
