This is quite literally the best burger place I have ever been and my nickname is wimpy (burger fiend from Popeye). The fried pickles are thin and super crispy, the fries are seasoned by the gods, and the burger is a masterpiece. Thats not to mention the absolute amazing malts. I will easily pick this place everytime.

Amazing burgers & friendly service. Hubby got the double and I grabbed a single-delicious and perfectly seasoned. I love that you can pick your toppings. By far one of my fav burgers on the north shore!

Get the portabella mushroom burger and add the beef pattie. You wont be disappointed. Process are very reasonable and the atmosphere is quaint. Will return many more times. Oh and the ice cream is perfect for a warm sunny day.

Wanted a quick lunch while running errands. This place has a surprisingly flavorful cheeseburger with a slightly crisped edge. It was addicting and gone in minutes. The fries were generously portioned and delicious too! I think the meal could be shared between two people for a light lunch or snack, but I finished everything…Lots of parking on the street. It’s a smaller restaurant. The inside is clean and tidy with a range of 1-2 person high top tables and regular 4 person tables. It’s quiet with Aretha Franklin, the Beatles, and Jerry Butler songs creating a fun and relaxed ambiance. The staff are friendly, efficient, and know the food they serve.Definitely worth a try!

Burger was great and they have Portobella shroom burger and wrap option for my veg wife. Kids meal came with ice cream too. Great ice cream selection.

This is by far the best portabella burger Ive ever eaten; it is deep fried to perfection - perfectly crispy on the outside and incredibly juicy on the inside. In fact, it was so good that I was there on Saturday and back for seconds on Tuesday. Did I mention that its under $6?Highly recommend :)

What’s not to love? Amazing burgers, stellar onion rings, solid beer selection, and ice cream. Chasing the ice cream truck around town is a favorite pastime as well. The delivery is mind blowing as well.

They really do live up to their statement! It was probably one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The meat it nicely cooked and you could really taste the flavors. The toppings were the best part, instead of little to no toppings I got to have pickles in every bite. Highly recommend it~

Never again. 32.00 thru Food Dudes for a burger and ice cream. No cheese or lettuce on the burger, can provide a picture. If you want fries, order them separate. One of the best philly cheesesteak sandwich everrr!! Very filling! I would definitely recommend giving this place a try when you’re in Duluth! If my husband and I didn’t have to leave today before they opened, we would’ve grabbed one before heading back to the cities! In my opinion, the bread was perfect for the sandwich! The cheeseburger and fries were awesome. The strawberry malt was delicious. The cashier, Laura, was very welcoming and friendly. The cook had a system that helped get everyones order done fast but right! My first time here and I was impressed.

If you are a fan of a well seasoned burger, this could be your place. Reasonably priced, delicious food. Food came off the grill pretty darn fast and was still warm when I ate it at home! (Also if youre ever wondering what cedar crest flavor is the best, the answer is always mint chip)

Not only did he apologize, he told me that they were training a new cook, he told me what he expects from his employees, he told me that what happened was unacceptable, and he told me how he was going to change things. We exchanged a few very positive messages. I am more than convinced that my experience was a “one-off” experience, so I am changing my rating to 5 stars. If nothing else, I have never seen an owner care about a customer’s experience as much as the owner of this restaurant. My family and I will be visiting this restaurant again in 3-4 weeks. If my experience is anything other than excellent (as I expect it will be), I will update my review. Also, I should mention that the details about the order of onion rings was incorrect due to the new cook.Original Post:We came here because of all the great reviews, but we were disappointed. We asked for well done burgers, but they came out burned and crunchy (although the non-burned parts did taste good). We ended up paying for extras on the free toppings list (without knowing it) but didnt even get what we ordered (items were missing from 2 of the 3 burgers). For $3.99, you get 7 tiny onion rings that were over cooked and very crunchy. Perhaps they were just having a bad day, but I dont think we will be returning.

Been a regular since the day I heard they were opening and have loved it. I recognize all of the workers and know them on The Hillside. One of the best family owned businesses I have ever been to and honestly close to the top if not the best burger in town consistently. A wonderful spot to stop! The food is diner style food done right - crispy onion rings, freshly grilled hamburgers and amazing chocolate malts. Its located a little off the beaten path, so it wasnt swamped with other tourists. Highly recommend.

Very disappointed. I heard on a local morning radio show that the phillys were good; NOT SO! Skimpy amount of meat, onions& peppers cut in 1/4 squares, cheap Walmart type bun. It shouldnt even be called a Philly! Dont was your money.

Ive been there twice and LOVED the Burgers and MY FAVORITE are the FRENCH FRIES WITH THE SKINS ON!!!My friend was going to Pick up Burgers and Fries when he came to visit me in the Hospital.I looked up the menu on my phone. It showed a scant couple of items, NO BURGERS! Hence we ate at a different restaurant.

It shows that they are family owned. Everyone is super friendly, and their burgers are simple and so good. From the all-natural Angus beef patties to the bun and the fresh ingredients this place is definitely one to grab lunch or dinner for th family.

Very good burger.

I loved their burger, the patties were perfect smash-burger style. Fries were great, they say hand-cut which usually means a greasy undercooked fry but these were obviously double-fried and were crispy and not greasy at all. We also got some fried pickles which were thin, light and crispy. We will be ordering from them again!

The prices are really good, only $4.99 for a cheeseburger with free toppings. The burger was really good, and the kids had some corn dogs, fries, and ice cream. I highly recommend The King of Creams!
