I have begun a love/hate relationship with Shanty Bottle Shop. As the second closest liquor store to my Duluth East Hillside residence, they offer a decent selection with slightly higher prices. I will note that when calling ahead about the availability of a specific drink, I was quoted $9 for a nearly $12 before tax six pack. The selection available though has allowed me to sample many Minnesota local brews, finding an absolute love for Lift Bridge Brewery (specifically Apricot Sour). I did find there to be a lack of top shelf liquors as Id acquired a taste for some of the $40+ varieties living in the cities; however, with their location, the selection of liquor is pretty adequate.4/5: Have been back multiple times!

This is a good local business. Fantastic mural art on the exterior. Fair prices. Owner appears to put a lot of thought into the inventory.

Great place for those of us in Duluth to hit after 6pm on sundays. Could use a wider selection of regional breweries but they have a couple basics at least.

Cashier was not wearing a mask. Then told my sister to take off mask because their glasses fogged up. There’s a mask mandate and a pandemic going on, unacceptable.

This is the closest liquor store to my place in Duluth. They have a decent selection of booze. The price is a little higher than some other shops around town but I don’t mind supporting the local businesses. They’re parking lot is a little questionable as well.

I like this place- its small and not the cheapest in town, but still good and very laid-back. I would recommend this place unless youre looking for something more exotic, or you want to wander some isles.

Nice local store, the staffs are really friendly. Its a small store, so dont hope for a very diverse collection, but the overall atmosphere more than makes up for it.

Nice little mom n pop place, but too small to have much selection.

Its just ok, the stock is a little lacking for any serious shopping, if you need a quick pick up of any basic brands its good for that.
