My family and I visited this place while we were on Honeymoon Island for our vacation and it was a very cool place to learn about the wildlife and history of Honeymoon Island!! Inside here is also a very groovy gift shop that has some really neat souvenirs that you can purchase in memorence of your visit to Honeymoon Island!!
Pretty cool side trip while at Honeymoon Island. Helpful and knowledgeable volunteer staff. Informative bits of history and educational resources. Excellent view from back deck of intracoastal waterway.
This place is always pleasant to visit. It is not commercialized. I have always been able to find a nice place to spend time at one the 3 beaches here..not to mention the beach designated for dog lovers.
The shores are just mesmerizing and the park is full of wildlife and beauty!Would totally recommend!
Very nice historic and current exhibits. Well maintained. Great views with telescopes. Small, but nice selection of gifts and souvenirs.
Lots of mosquitos so bring lots of repellant with you
Great little nature center. The park rangers were friendly and informative. Has restrooms.
A dear friend of mind is the Gran-daughter of those who homesteaded these islands. The mentioning of them is so great Myrtle Scharrer Betz. Tou can find her book for sale at this center and the gift shop on Caladesi Island. The displays are well done. I had a great time reading about the animals who live on these islands and how over time the storms changed the islands. Great job!
Beautiful and clean state park!
Great place with informative host.
Awesome park! Beautiful landscape, ocean, pine flatwoods, mangroves, hiking trails, beach, and a cool nature center. Rangers are super helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Displays in the Nature Center about the nature and history are great for children AND adults. They usually have educational movies playing in a side room - we watched one today about gopher tortoises. We highly recommend it!
Beautiful center. Loved it
This place is a gem! The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help with any questions. I find the displays inside interesting, and I always learn something new every time I visit. They also have a nice gift shop with excellent nature related books. The view from the deck is stunning.

Such nice people are always there. I should of gone in after I walked the trail behind it to write on the white board. Rattlesnake. About 5 feet long. Awesome! Thats the 4th one Ive seen over the years there and not the longest.
This marvelous little place has indoor restrooms and water fountains. It also has interesting historical details about the area and a small gift shop with things from local artists. Its handicap accessible with designed parking and restrooms. A great place to stop before you head out on one of the trails.
It was a great first stop on our visit to honeymoon island. There was alot of cool information to learn there and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Also bought this delicious bag of chocolates that had 10 percentage of cost going to help wild life so that was awesome.
Besides the swarms of black mosquitoes that ate me alive, it was amazing. The views were superb and the wildlife was fun to watch. Weather was perfect today too
