Adorable hand made candle and gift shop!The store is tucked away between the bike path and alt 19, next to Eddies. It’s easy to miss, but it it’s a must stop for the candle lover!It fun to stop in and smell all the candles. Tip-take them outside to get a real sense of what they smell like.They must have over 100 different candles! You will definitely find one or more that you love. I got the snicker doodle cookie one. Heaven! The candles are all handmade on site. The adorable little store is also packed full of wonderful gift ideas. Don’t know what to get someone? Get them a hand made candle, and support a local business. All the artwork, for sale, in the store is made by local artists.

Who needs a bath and body works when you have an awesome candle shop like this?! They don’t stand a chance against the local power of Dunedin Candle Co- and their products are more affordable anyways! What’s not to love!I can’t believe how cute this little shop is. Bella, who was working when I went, was the most real and enjoyable person. We conversed the entire time I was there, and I was almost sad to leave because she was such a joy.What’s even cooler is that everything at this lovely candle co is handmade in house. They pour their own candles, create and stick their own labels and all the jazz. If you want a certain scent profile that’s not on the shelves (which would honestly be tough because they have a LOT of scents), they actually take custom orders and will try to make all your smelly dreams come true!Okay, so maybe I’m a little biased because I am a huge candle person as it is. But one issue I’ve run into with other small business candle sellers who make their own is that a lot of times they don’t really even smell. Like, it smells okay when you buy it but once you start burning the candle there’s just like nothing, for some reason. No such issue with the Dunedin candles, however. Those things stink! (but in the best way) They burn well and are super lovely and scentsy and it’s all fantastic.Can’t recommend them more!

How have I never been in this incredible shop, just east of Alternate 19 in Dunedin? It is a hidden gem. When I entered, Andrew greeted me enthusiastically. As I tried to take in all the treasures placed perfectly in this small shop, Andrew told me how they make all their candles, and how they feature a wide variety of works by local crafts people. Before choosing a candle for myself, I picked out dog treats for a good friends dog, a cupcake soap for one nieces upcoming birthday, and two mermazing soaps for two other nieces on their birthdays next month. I would love to buy one of the acrylic mermaid plaques hanging over the cash register for a friend, but I need to save up for one of them. They are exquisite.So many candles and scents to choose from! Even with my mask on (I did not want to expose anyone to residual germs from a cold Im getting over.) I could smell all of the delicious flavors. Andrew has so many candle scents. I wanted one of each! I settled on the Unicorn candle for its color & scent, and took a picture of it with the pineapple candle. I need to return and buy the one that another niece chooses for her birthday. I texted her the photo and Im awaiting her decision. She loves unicorns AND pineapples.Andrew was a delightful host! As I was checking out, Jasmine came in with their lunches. She seemed very nice, too. Now that I know where Dunedin Candle Company is located, and Im aware of all of the goodies inside, I will be back. This is the perfect place to buy holiday gifts and more birthday presents.

My friend and I ran into these candles at pride 2021 and loved them. We saw them again about a week ago and at the tent was a younger girl and an older guy that appeared to be the boss. The interaction was overall weird and the girl looked very uncomfortable and didn’t want to say it out loud, the guy was super friendly and let us smell a bunch of candles but some thing was just off about his friendlyness and her just standing there. We couldn’t help but pay attention and lookat her questionable. stayed around for a bit longer to just read the situation and see if she was gonna ask us to help because she was overall was just stiff as a board and seemed scared. Not sure what this guys intentions are as a businessman/owner boss whatever he is but everyone just stay aware

This is the cutest little candle store. I was recently looking for a birthday gift for a family member and had no idea what to get her. Not only does this place have a huge selection of amazing smelling candles, but they have other gifts from local businesses too! Will definitely be coming back!!

I checked out the new Dunedin Candle Company today and got a pumpkin spice candle and some paw pops for my fur babies. The candle smells awesome and the dogs loved their treats. The woman who helped us was super nice. Check it out you wont be disappointed. They have other great items to buy that would also make great gifts.

I bought a rosemary sage candle from Andrew at the downtown Dunedin Market - in my opinion, the quality and aroma of this candle have not been matched since the 70s. Thanks Andrew - I will be back soon for your 2 for!
