Well, my experience with this company was terrible.I was in the market for an HP part. HP recommended System Design Advantage as one of their authorized sellers, so I placed an order with SDA early on Friday, October 10th. I requested overnight delivery. I was charged both for the item, $50, and for overnight delivery, $30. I was told I would receive an email with a transaction number and Fed Ex number.Over 24 hours later I had received neither a transaction number nor a Fed Ex tracking number nor the item in question. I checked with Fed Ex and they informed me that there was NO PACKAGE IN THEIR SYSTEM with my address on it.I googled like crazy and came up with three names for System Design Advantage, Jim Sahli, Greg Magee and Jay Lynch. I succeeded in contacting one of them, Jay Lynch. He appeared responsive and helpful, but was unable to take action at the time I spoke to him. He assured me action would be forthcoming on the next business day (I called him on a Saturday).They contacted me on Monday and told me I would receive the item on Tuesday and that I would receive no refund. They claimed that it was next business day, not overnight delivery, a flat out lie. I pointed out that even if it was next business day, which it wasnt, they still owed me the refund since I didnt even get that, or I would have received the item on Monday.At first, they refused; I protested. Then they brought it down to $15. I said not acceptable. Finally, they claimed that regular shipping was ALWAYS $13 at a minimum, an option which they NEVER offered me in the initial purchase, and offered a $20 refund. I gave them the benefit of the doubt that they were telling the truth and that that really was their minimum shipping charge, so I accepted the $20 refund. They told me I would receive it within 7-10 business days.Well, wouldnt you know it: two weeks went by and I still hadnt received the $20 refund. So I had to go back and bang on their doors again. They claimed that there was NO RECORD IN THEIR COMPANY of the authorization of any such refund. But they told me they would put in for such a refund.I also called HP to report their bad behavior.Two days later I FINALLY got my $20 refund.Which tells me two things: it pays to report problems with HP authorized sellers to HP.Secondly, this means that the 7-10 business days was BS; it should never take more than two or three business days to process a refund. The fact that they gave me the 7-10 business day figure originally tells me they were NEVER planning to give me the refund originally, that they were just blowing smoke, and that they were hoping Id just forget about it.Clearly ethics are a bad joke with System Design Advantage.Watch your wallet with these folks! And count your fingers after every interaction.
