0 stars!!! Making sure to ask why customers are there as soon as they walk in. This is NOT to give you better service! This is to see if they need to require you to wear a mask or not. Because if you are there for a few mins you don’t need one, but if you want to browse you are required to wear one. This is what was told to me while having two customers in front of them at the cash register checking out without masks, 3 of them.If your going to have a mask policy then keep it across the board! Don’t put your staff through the issue of having to decide who to enforce that with and who not to. That is not fare to them, pisses off your customers, and causes a bad experience all around for everyone involved.There is no reason to be causing issues further between people who wear them and people who don’t.

Always love looking 4 games! This store is always well organized and clean! The staff are always helpful as well! They are very knowledgeable about all gaming consoles and games and if they can’t answer a question they will look up what they can for you!

The current employees are rude, about 4 years ago their staff were all kind and curteous. Now that they have changed employees i never go there.

This place doesn’t even deserve the required one star. This place is a prime example of poor customer service. Not taking into account that they expect you to buy games for 60$ and can only sell them back for like 2$ Then turn around and resell it for 50$ but also employees will bad mouth you when you walk out the door.

My little boy can usually find exactly what he wants and I dont have to drive all over the place....

Have been going here as a kid for many years and this location has been my favorite around here. Staff is friendly and very informative about all their merchandise. A woman who goes by TJ was especially helpful to make my decision on a product. The only quarrel I have is their prices on trade ins. Never sell games here unless you cant find anybody because they will give you next to nothing for heavily sought after games.

I find it very ignorant to be inside the store I have to wear a mask but if I stand outside they will help you shop (the interaction distance is the same but inside separated by plastic shield were as outside I dont have a mask and nothing divides us. The staff only cared that I didnt have a mask that was the first and only conversation that was had other than to tell me I need to leave the store and I can shop online. I have been to several gamestops all over the u.s. within the last couple months and this is the only one that had someone obsessed over the masks like it was her life long goal to enforce the nonsense. And if you call from the curb like instructed they dont answer. Giant waste of time. If you want to be controlled to do something or forced out of the store if you dont bend a knee its a great place to shop.

While I havent been the biggest fan of GameStop as of late I will say that this particular store is an exception. The store leader there is very nice and personable. They make sure I get the games I pre order and provide me with a warm welcome every time I come in.

Had a mediocre experience at best. Staff isn’t extremely helpful or even really friendly at that in my experiences with GameStop in Elizabethton. The girl that was working register a couple of weeks ago wasn’t very personable but did seem to be very up to date and knowledgeable with the new PlayStation and Xbox Series X releases, hardware and what kind of download times to expect and was pretty straight up and didn’t seem to push me towards one or the other and actually helped me make a decision. I don’t expect over the top service with chain stores like this but would have gave a third star if the company as a whole treated their customers whose there to sell to them more fairly. Hopefully others have had better experiences but I’ve left on a few occasions feeling completely disrespected and I wasn’t even expecting a real fair price. I expected something lower but not anything like that. Its seems to me that they have got to the point of being to big to care if they get repeat business or not but definitely to big to be taking advantage of their customers that probably shop with them as well. Buying there isn’t awful, a little pricy but don’t sell to these guys is all I recommend. If your selling and can make the drive I’ve always been treated fairly at MWO and I’ve heard of a couple of other places in elizabethton that is decent but not personally dealt with. I’d recommend Facebook market place first when selling anything but the new gaming systems and accessories even if it’s older gen are expensive anywhere so I wouldn’t not shop if it’s convenient for you but never expect to sell to them and leave happy. Sorry GameStop, your my first bad review and I feel a little bad being that guy but you know your doing it dirty and making some larger then necessary margins. Increase employees raises if you making money like that off of customers at least.

They were very friendly and attentive. She even found the game I was looking for cheaper then the copy I found. Would recommend game stop a great place to go for all your gaming needs.

Everyone is usually pretty nice. The young man I dealt with today is an exception to that. I believe his name was Austin possibly. Short dark hair and black framed glasses. He was not very personable, and a little impolite to be working a retail job in which customer service is very important. Was not friendly, and snatched my exchange out of my hand. Didnt smile once, and acted like I was inconvenience to him. Also was misquoted prices by around $15.00 on a trade in and purchase by an employee named either Jake or Jacob. All other times that Ive dealt with GameStop have been perfectly fine. I now only use them if 2 Dudes Gaming or G2K dont have what Im looking for. GameStop by far has the worst pricing & policies.

This was the worst GameStop I’ve ever been to period they bring up democrat politics and argue with you about how right they are the manager is a joke she has no idea how to have any customer service unfriendly and arrogant

GameStop we will give you $.75 for that $60 game you bought here last week and then we resale it for $55. This company is a rip off, but that being said, the staff is usually great and sometimes you can find a gem. Just dont get caught in the trade in sham.

I Have bought thousands of dollars in games and consoles from your Elizabethton,TN location and also your Johnson city,TN locations but you will never get my business or would I recommend your business to anyone anymore after the way I was treated yestetday Sunday,5/3/2020 at Elizabethton,Tn location before I went I called to reserve several games and she told me she could not accept cash would need a credit card to buy the items when I arrived to pickup curbside.I said I completely understand with everything going on with the Covid-19 and that I have a credit card when I arrived.She also said when I arrived to just call so she knew I had arrived I had to call like about 7 times I got out of my car to see why no one was answering the little girl was just standing at the cash register and finally looked over at door and after about ten minutes later she finally came out.I told her my name and that I was here to pick up my order I reserved she said ok be right back she told me the total was $227.89 I handed her my Visa card she said No I can not use this it is a debit card I said it is also a credit card she said No its not and was very rude.And would not sell me the items.If Gamestop reads this then I feel you need to reach out to me that is very poor customer service by not accepting my Visa credit card when she said that is what I needed and then when I arrived would not accept.

Every experience at this God forsaken store is worse than the last. Incredibly rude people who always treat you like youre an idiot. I have never dealt with a decent human working at this store. I will go without or go to Two Dudes Gaming before I EVER visit this sorry excuse for a store again.

Bought 2 used games for my Xbox 360 and one is incompatible with my Xbox 360 and the other games disc is unreadable.Small price to pay to learn I need to buy games somewhere else.

Their systems don’t work with the rest of their stores apparently or the manager is a blatant lier told me he could not find my pre order so I could swap it when I sat at the store in Knoxville after they already called and told him to switch and he told them he couldn’t find it too. Don’t see how it shows up on my app and on the store in Knoxville’s system but can’t show up on his. Main reason GameStop loses business I will never buy from you guys again.

Like coming here, service is always really good and the employees are willing to discuss the games and give good recommendations without sounding condescending like other gamestops in the area

I picked up a game I ordered online. The staff was rude over the phone and the game I picked up will either be unrecognized or become a DVD suddenly. Every other time I come, the staff isnt rude and the game I get would never be unrecognized or be played as a DVD.

Prices are not bad trade deals suck. You will lose out most of the time. They also do not honnor online prices

Ive kinda been really impressive with the sales and promotions corporate has been pushing out lately. However at this specific location Im not that impressed. My old local Gamestop in Asheville all the employees knew me by name, were super friendly, very diverse, and interesting. Walking into this Gamestop feels a little like bro show. Like all the personality, and energy has just been sucked out of these poor people. Its like how you can really tell if someone likes their job, you can tell.

When u call to talk to them they never answer the phone but yet they can keep calling my papa an tell him that i have a pre order to pick up an i havent ordered nothing in 4 years they need to do better then this im also calling corporate on them an they are very rude an wont help u find anything u want
