Look for Shaun. I dont think that place runs as smooth without him. He knows more than the basic fixes for macs. Good man. Kind. Helpful knowledgable
Horrible experience of online harassment:Overview: employee reached out using personal phone number to me through calls, FaceTime, and text messages with claims to come to the address listed under the serviceContext:I picked up my laptop from the iStore Englewood NJ location on 9/29. Their online payment services were down, but they allowed me to take my laptop home and call over the phone with payment.I called later that evening and there was no answer. No response or calls from them since then.On October 20, I received one missed call and voicemail. On October 22, I received a missed call from the store and then proceeded to receive 3 calls, 1 FaceTime, and 3 text messages from an employee’s personal number in a span of 10 minutes (12:23-12:32pm)Very unprofessional and borderline threatening message. I am uncomfortable with the store holding my personal information with this type of reaction.I will be emailing store manager, Jason, for response.
You can get an appointment relatively easy as opposed to the Apple Store. They are very knowledgeable and courteous; really helped me out my resetting my iPad.
This place absolutely sucks. CANDY IS THE WORST DONT GO
Hidden fees and misrepresented service.I brought in my MacBook to have an issue related to my file system and startup fixed. I described the exact situation and issue, the solutions I’d tried, and explained that I was able to do a restore from backup myself but was looking to avoid having to go that route. I said I was hoping that they had some tools or software I didn’t have myself and could fix my problem for me without me having to restore from backup. I was told as long as no physical parts were broken they should almost definitely be able to fix it. Based on that info I paid to have it done, and paid the $50 extra have it done ASAP rather than wait 48 hours.15 minutes later they call me up to tell me what the issue is (exactly the issue I told them it was), and said I’d have to buy a hard drive from them so they could back up to the hard drive and restore from that backup. Not only was that the exact solution I said I didn’t need or want from them, but I was also never told that there was the chance of an additional charge from them to complete the repair. When I first came in I was told that there would only be extra charges if parts needed to be replaced. I have no clue why a shop like theirs doesn’t have a hard drive lying around that they could use. So essentially the $120 base fee is completely wasted unless I fork over another $100 or whatever it was to buy a hard drive from them. I felt completely extorted. So 20 minutes after dropping it off, I’m back in the store being handed my MacBook back and being told that the problem is exactly what I said it was. For $170 I received no fix, and only after the fact did they explain that this was purely the cost of the “evaluation”, despite telling me right before I paid that they’d “almost definitely be able to fix it if no parts were broken”.I asked for a partial refund, considering they didn’t do anything to fix my problem or provide me with any information I didn’t have, and it only took them 15 minutes. I said I’d be happy to pay the $50 rush fee, but the $120 base fee was ridiculous considering the situation. I was told no refunds. In fact that’s actually written on a document you receive from them - *after* you’ve already paid them. As another note, that document says “Please see the reverse side or second page for Terms & Conditions”, yet included no reverse side or second page.So I’d be cautious going here. They completely misrepresented their service. I shared with them the exact issue, and they told me it could be fixed and said there shouldn’t be any extra fees unless something was physically broken. Given that I described the exact issue before paying, they had everything they needed in order to tell me what their solution would be and that it 1) was the solution I explicitly said I didn’t want and 2) would cost me more money. They just took my money though without telling me either of those things. Turns out you’re forking over $120 to just have them evaluate the issue, not fix it, and they could have extra charges you have to pay (or your money spent was all wasted), and there’s no refunds. Felt like a complete scam, I don’t know how Apple is willing to attach their brand to a store like this but I’ll be sure to reach out to Apple to let them know about the experience I had. I will also be disputing the charge through my credit card.So in short I went in and very specifically described the service I needed, was led to believe that I’d be able to receive that service, and then was given no help while they asked for more money from me.The woman at the counter who received me and heard me out was very polite and professional, my issue is purely with the owner and their business practices.
Fast service! Had my laptop repaired in 24 hours.
This people are ripping off apple told me to go here for diagnostic. They charge me 117$ for that they said it will comes out to be 800$ said no to repair they not giving me the money back which they took, apple give free diagnostic. they like buy apple laptop from us will put that money towards new apple laptop so basically they trapping from the being.
Hello I would just like to say i highly recommend this store over the apple store in the mall. The person at the front (Malik) was so nice a knowledgeable. He gave me his honest thoughts on what i should do regarding a repair and also pointed me in the right direction device wise. This location is amazing. I went in with a problem and left out with a brand new device that i really needed and got all questions answered. This guy is there everyday i pass by and i only learned about the store due to one of my business partners recommending this store to me and told me to ask for (Malik). This guy saved my job and doesnt even know it. Thank you to him the great atmosphere and whoever hire him.
Went to the iStore for what I thought was a warranty repair on my 2017 15” MacBook Pro 3.1. The problem was quickly understood and verified. A in-warranty solution was found as the issue had been occurring (sticky keyboard) since months after the computer was purchased. Since I was actually days outside of my warranty the iStore employee spoke to an Apple representative and my computer was covered. I was given a 7+ day repair window but the computer was repaired in under six days. Store itself is clean and sterile and follows the Apple design language. It was easy to park and the location is super convenient!
MALLEK, great customer service representative. Very professional.
Just wanted to put it out there that the care and service at the Apple store in Englewood (I-store) was excellent!!!!They took time and were extremely patient with all my questions and were super kind and happy to help!!!So happy I came to this store!!! Thanks guys!!!
Good location for expert friendly service saves trip afar all Apple authorized. Abdul Manager and Malik Tech both knowledgeable and customer-centric. But avoid my mistake and do not wait for review when seeing problems...they will get worse so protect data and investment in equipment ....often no need to replace. Apple has enough profits.
I only brought my device here because Apple is closed and this is where they are directing you. I brought it in because my keyboard is having issues. When I dropped off my device I was told diagnostic would take 24 hours. I didn’t hear back for 3 days, when they called to ask my to turn off find my Mac. I didn’t hear back for another two days when I called them myself and they told me on their end it was appearing as if it wasn’t removed. I had to call myself each time to get an update. I gave them all my passwords and now after they’ve had my device for an ENTIRE WEEK the claim hasn’t even been started. I am sure they are probably overwhelmed right now but it is obvious that they don’t want to help, I am picking up my device UNREPAIRED and I will be filing a complaint with Apple.
So I made an appointment with On the phone with Apple and they sent me to this store and I had a trouble with my new MacBook and they recommended me to return it because it was not working well I recommend them because they I really honest and they pointed certain things out about the Mac definitely if I’m having any trouble with my other MacBooks I will for sure go back to them them
I visited this store twice. Both times the associates were friendly and very helpful. What I needed was taken care of quickly. I highly recommend them.
Took my iPhone in to iStore for repair and both the sales and service experience was excellent. My technician was very personable and answered all my other Mac questions too. Highly recommend. Thanks!
Fantastic customer service. My experience at the NJ iStore was entirely positive; they were professional, expert, and provided exceptional and speedy service (this is particularly noteworthy, as it was 4 days before Christmas). From start to finish, Brian and Steve were incredible informative, patient, and helpful, both over the phone and in-person. My MacBook Pro required a complete screen replacement, a part which needed to be ordered. They took the time to explain the caveats as well as the repair process in detail so that I could make an informed decision (this indeed entailed several lengthy phone calls). Following this, I returned a week later (from NYC, I might add) for their services, and was overall very pleased. Well worth the trip, I would highly recommend!
Fantastic service and great selection of Apple Products. It’s nice to come to this store because it is not crowded, but yet the experience is the same or even better than your typical apple store. I’ve only recently discovered this store but I’ve been back numerous time for different needs. Also, they usually have availability on products, such as the AirPods, that are not readily available at the Apple store. Highly recommend coming here even if you’re just browsing. Thumbs up to the owner
Just go to the Apple store for repairs! I brought my computer in for a hardware repair. They did not honor their 48 hour diagnosis. The cost of my repair went up $300 after they told me the full price and it did NOT include additional hardware or labor costs- so I definitely feel ripped off about that. They delayed ordering the part by 2 days. Took a week and almost $1000. They gave it back with damage to my screen and then told me I need to replace my entire screen and refused to even discuss the matter beyond another costly repair. They tried to tell me the damage was there before and they did nothing. I use my computer every day. I am well aware of what my screen looks like. Stay away from this scam rip-off and just go to the pros. Will NEVER return under any circumstance.
This store is my new go-to alternative to the Apple store. I came here with my friend because she needed to get the information on her phone after it got wet at the beach. The process was explained to me in a clear, understandable way because neither of us knew that it was even possible to get data off of damaged phone. Matt was the one who helped us out, and he was responsive, patient, and gave us consistent updates. Customer service was dope. Im sure Ill be back.
I highly recommend this store! Friendly employees and great service. They were able to provide me with exactly what I was looking for and took their time to answer all my questions. Theyre definitely my go to from now on.
Terrible experience.Shady business.Be careful with dealing with this business. After returning my laptop to me that they said was not worthy of repair, I picked it up and delivered directly to apple for second opinion. Apple tech opened it up and advised me the hard drive was missing !I call the store and the person who gave it back to me states he has no idea what happened But he’ll contact the tech and get back to me in two days. After no response, 4 days later I visit store to recover hard drive, no explanation given and when I explained to employee that I’m glad he turned it over since our insurance requires a police report because of sensitive client data, he gets arrogant and says “you don’t scare me with that”.Besides terrible customer relations, highly questionable business practices. Sketchy. Will def follow up with Apple so they’re aware as well as BBB.
They were great! Service was quick and easy. I didnt even know they were there! Better than waiting ages and going to Garden Stare Plaza.
Visit to this store was the most pleasant experience I had in a very long time! All the representatives were extremely nice and helpful. They resolved my issue in minutes. I felt very comforatble and was treated with the outmost respect.
Better than Apple store in every way for repairLess waitBetter customer service
The staff are very friendly but their technicians are not competent. I left my macbook with them for a week to repair a keyboard and fan problem under warranty. My computer came back with the audio no longer working and darkened areas on the screen. A cursory check of my computer before returning the computer would have caught this problem. This business is not professional. Youre better off taking repairs direct to Apple. I see that other reviewers report problems and that the store responds with a remark that they will review their internal processes. Dont believe it.
Dropped off a computer told me to come back at night. Went their computer was not ready. Called next morning to confirm computer was ready manager steve said it was ready. Went there to pick up computer, it was not touched and want me to wait for 3 hours for computer. Left and took computer. Very unorganized and very unprofessional.
Bringing my Mac mini into this store for repair was the best decision I made. The gentleman in front was able to take care of everything with my device, very happy with his service.
Knowledge and experienced help. Much less hassle than the Apple store. Highly recommend.
I visited the NYC location on Broadway and 17th street for an issue with my keyboard. Kyle was very knowledgable and skilled with what turned out to be a minor issue. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. That is reason enough to avoid the apple stores when you need service. This is now my new apple location for service and sales. (call ahead to check inventory - their inventory apparently sells out quickly.)
I was very happy with iStore results with my macbook.
Had a very simple fix but the technician was courteous, helpful and efficient. Great experience!
I will explain why I gave them 3 stars.I dropped my IPhone to recover my info because my phone was dead. They tried the regular recover process, but it wasn’t successful, then they sent it to a clean room. That process took 4 weeks. My phone returned from the clean room with my info backed up in a external hard drive. The recover process was successful but not everything, they explained to me that I can restore my info very easy. Well I went to apple store (GSP) to return my dead phone and get a new one. But my old phone turn on, I was in shock, and I didn’t read my invoice or they (IStore guy) didn’t explain me that my phone was repaired in order to recover my info but it cannot be used as a regular phone. I didn’t think about because I was expecting my backup in the hard drive that I totally forgot that I could backup my phone in my laptop.Well, finally I got my new iPhone from apple (under warranty) after 1 hour because my phone turn on. When I tried to restore my info from the HD I couldn’t. So once again I have to go back to IStore to ask for help so I can restore my info. They told that I have to left my HD (backup) and they will call me when my info is uploaded in their computer. Two days later they called me and let me know that I can drop my phone. Finally I dropped my phone,’and once again they told me that they will call me when my phone is ready, four hours later finally my phone is ready. But not at all. They didn’t backup my info with the encrypted option, so all my password in all my apps and WiFi password are lost. I have to start all over again with all that info. Kind of hassle
Quality customer service, 0 wait time, I will definitely come back again!
Great service with strong attention to quality of work. Highly recommend!
The staff here are knowledgeable and helpful. The service here was timely and professional.
The Istore at st Moritz fixed my 2011 MacBook Pro. They got it up and running fine with new battery, new charger and cord for a reasonable price and in a timely manner.
I called prior to Confirm They were working on my Computer... they said Yes, Confirmed to pick up next day... AGAIN they said YES...I cleared my schedule (VERY BUSY) and showed up to pick it up.1. NOONE HAS WORKED ON IT.VERY unprofessional!!!!!!!!! WOW!so unhappy!!!!!! I Dropped it off in time because i needed it fixed for a work related problem and NOW I HAVE TO WAIT LONGER???
IStore is very helpful when it comes to diagnosing problems and doing repairs. I would recommend them again!
Greatest customer service I have dealt with. I 100% would recommended this store to anyone looking for quality service and great products.
Prompt, efficient, professional service! Work done exceeded my expectations.
Customer service is not good.
Not only was I treated kindly and have a problem with my phone charged port cleaned out and done at no charge but the person before me was also treated very kindly and respectfully.
Very helpful service
Staff are friendly when i dropped off my laptop but when i tried to find out anything on the status of the repair, they acted unprofessional, dishonest and untrustworthy!!
Good service, but hours are very inconvenient
Very unhappy with wait time.
