Brian and his staff were very helpful and friendly. Theyre very knowledgeable about many different types of cars. I wouldnt hesitate to bring in either of our cars for service or repair work. They did a pre purchase inspection on a truck I was thinking about buying and they found some significant problems. Using their findings and the written estimate for repair I was able to negotiate with the seller to get those items fixed before i bought the truck. If Brian hadnt found the problems I wouldve been on the hook for the repairs. A hundred dollar PPI saved me at least a thousand dollars and I couldnt be happier, thanks again!

Doug, Shelly, and Brian are great people who really stand behind their work. They were very patient and went above and beyond to answer all my questions. Its a relief to finally have a good place for car repairs.

I came in b/ c I had lowered power. The estimate was to replace everything in the car. Rack & pinion steering, radiator cap, cat converter, head cylinder. I dont think they thought I had the money. I left.

Asked them to work on my car, they had it fixed in hours (small fix but big issue) for 60% of what a large shop wanted. They went above and beyond and I will be going here again in the future.

Theyre generally pretty good. I brought in my car recently because the starter went out. However, it took about four days to fix it and when I got it back, it wasnt running right and the antennae was bent. They never tested my car to make sure it was running how it should and they didnt try to fix what they did to my antennae until I pointed it out to them and asked that it was fixed. Ill come back because they did do a good job, but Im definitely a bit skeptical after this last visit.

Reasonable rates, service writer (Kasey) knows about vehicle mechanical and electrical systems and is able to explain any repairs that may be needed. Also, owner Brian Slater is a good, honest, and up standing man. I have taken my personal vehicles to North Eugene Automotive (they recently worked on my wifes Ford Escape). This is a good, trustworthy shop. Brian also sells cars. In addition to newer model cars, he also has some cool older vehicles (60s and 70s) as well as former police intercept cars!

They kept telling me they would work on my car the next day, and every time never did. They called me and told me it needed a head gasket. Next thing I know they tell me it’s a valve cover gasket hoping I wouldn’t know the difference. Well oil leak not fixed, and car started popping a plug and running on 3 cylinders. They got my car to run but with problems, and lied about the oil leak. I would of brought it back but I couldn’t have them keep it another 2 weeks and lie about when they would fix it. The mechanic is a crook.

Happy with all the work so far. I had a radiator replaced, an oil change and some other work. I didn’t care for the way they billed me. 19.95 for oil change + 8.13 oil filter + 17.90 for conventional oil, totaling $45.98. I personally wouldn’t bill it like a 19.95 oil change, these being the total charges 45.98. Just for the oil change portion of my bill. But the service was good and they took care of things I asked for.

The few times Ive shopped around, Brians estimates have been much more reasonable, and the work gets done well! Very highly recommended.

One of the best experiences I have had in Eugene. Found out there was an additional problem with my car and gave me a referral with a discount to another shop that had the tools do the repairs. The owner is a very honest guy that goes out of his way to take care of his customers. I am very impressed with his business.

Not only was it the best price in town, but they were very helpful with working with my busy schedule to get my car in and out.Every person we interacted with was so friendly and helpful. Casey kept me updated nicely and was very helpful on the phone. The work done was great and a fair price. I’m so happy with how it turned out, and I’ll definitely be bringing all my future business there!

I have been a customer of North Eugene Automotive for over 27 years. This company has the highest ethical standards I have ever come across in car service & repair. Diagnostics rarely cost anything because they know almost immediately what needs repair. Only repairs that are necessary are recommended and often I am told at the next service such and such should be done.Never if you dont fix this right now and pay $$$$$ your wheels will fall off Yep, Ive heard that from one of the most reputable tire companies in the business. North Eugene is simply the best. I cant figure out why you would go anywhere else.

Great mechanic Reasonable price

First and foremost, knowledgeable. Immediately when you walk in, you know youre in good hands. They tackle the problem without making up extra needed repairs or over-charging. This is a highly ethical place. They want return customers. And in order for people to return, they need service done right the first time. No scams, shams or wam-bam-get-outta-heres.

I bought a 1993 Honda Civic DX from North Eugene Auto. It had a larger, rebuilt engine. When I bought the car, I mentioned a few things that the car needed, like an oxygen sensor. Brian Slater fixed them for nothing.I could not get the check engine light to turn off. I took it to two shops and they got the code, but could not figure out how to fix it. So six months after I had purchased the car, I took it back to Brian to see if he could figure out the problem. He and one of his mechanics spent a couple of hours and the light would go off and go on. Totally frustrating. So he called a shop that specialized in Hondas, and they came over and took the engine control module apart, and found a burned out resistor, which they replaced and voila! the light went off. I asked Brian how much I owed him and he said nothing.What a surprise. An honest used car salesman. A guy who stands behind what he sells. If you are looking for a reasonably price used car, I would definitely check North Eugene Automotive.
