Was a little disappointed in their current selections. I recognize they are just starting to open up again, but they didnt even have tea which seems like a fairly basic offering. It would be great if the menu was posted somewhere on a website or social media so you know whats available before you head down. I enjoyed the biscuits and gravy I got and may try again when they have more available.
The one coffee place that Ill ignore my caffeine-induced mental fog for. It is divine! When Im not feeling like subjecting myself to the consequences of caffeine, their vegan baked goods are worth the trip. My partner and I will regularly visit just for the biscuits and gravy (and will generally walk out with some sort of scone or peanut butter bar as well). If you like to eat or drink, you should definitely visit Wandering Goat.
Great place for coffee. Only outside service currently without ability to dine in. Can sit on tables outside after getting your drink. Had visited a nearby coffee place prior to visiting here on the same day and the quality of coffee here was drastically better. Great ability to get coffee by the pound or weight. Do wish they stamped their logo on all the brown bags.
Great coffee! Lots of options. Also had a cinnamon roll that was soooo good!
Deelicious!!!!I’m from out of town. Came here during strict Covid times today. No indoor service, minimal menu. Cold outside and everything in the area is closed and super quiet. But DEE LISH! I had two dry cappuccinos and a half size order of vegan biscuits and gravy. Sooo nice. 👍😊. Love it.
Wandering Goat is our go to coffee shop in Eugene!Weve been all around this town looking for that cozy little place we can call our home away from home. These guys have done it well.Ample space for seating inside and outside, weather permitting.Artwork drapes the walls all around, most pieces for sale.Other artistic pieces decorate the rest, from t-shirts, signs to a most wonderful goat head.A spacious barista bar sits beyond the counter. The pastry case is filled with delicious all vegan treats.Up beat and smiling faces greet you as you step up to place your order. The drinks are quality, and the treats are delectable. As you sit and fill your belly, they have gobbles of games for you to delve into and watch the night disappear. We recommend this place ten times over and hope you go visit this curious little coffee shop when you get the chance!
I was really looking forward to having coffee here since I read some really good reviews. I’m not usually too picky about how clean a place feels, but I just didn’t feel like this place was very clean inside. The kitchen seemed clean but everywhere else just didn’t feel comfortable or clean to me. A little tight feeling. The coffee was okay. I didn’t feel like it was very smooth tasting but their latte art was cool! I love coffee but this just was not my type of coffee.
Vegan biscuits with mushroom gravy and a strong cup of coffee, please! Seriously, this place is so good- their coffee is robust and will definitely wake you up and the food options are scrumptious! I just wish they’d reopen for business. They’re currently only selling beans maybe once per week- call for more info.
I cant believe I have lived in Eugene for 19 months and just visited this place for the first time. The baristas were super friendly, the latte was really tasty and the vegan and gluten free peanut butter bar pushed me over the edge. The inside has a lot of room to sit and there are few outdoor tables and two outdoor picnic tables to enjoy the weather when it is nice outside. Although this was my first time here I will definitely not be my last time.
Great Coffee, groovy workers, shady outdoor seating. Best neighborhood coffee shop in town!
Best mocha Ive ever had!
This is my first time in Eugene and Wandering Goat was in walking distance, so I decided to give it a go. I really liked the funky eclectic vibe of the place. I ordered an espresso and a spicy cheese bagel. Both were delicious. There is plenty of tables and chairs to sit and chill at, so I was able to get my work done. The service was good and I enjoyed my visit.
One of my favorite cups of coffee. We always stop here when visiting from Texas.
Great coffee here. They sell it to a lot of restaurants around town but it’s always nice to actually go to the shop for a cuppa. They also have a zine rack which I deeply love, and host open mic nights (or they did before COVID) and poetry readings. A truly great place.
Wandering Goat is our favorite place to get coffee. The atmosphere and customers are a bit funky. Their coffee is excellent, but they make their coffee drinks strong. Small drinks have two shots and large ones have four,, so be prepared for the buzz. This day we were after a pound of Chupacabara Espresso Roast and some lattes. My wife decided two shots was too much so she tried their Chai Tea Latte and found it nothing special. I had a quad shot large latte and it was smooth and good. We have not tried any of their goodies, which all seem to be vegan.
Really good coffee and good sweets to go with it good ambiance too we went here every morning we were in Eugene
I love to stop at WG every now and then when I pass by on i5, their coffee is some of the best Ive had. I hope they get to open for business again soon!
Normally I would have posted a pic but food looked so good I couldnt stop. The service here is better than most. Bring your hunger - portions are filling. Food is like a restaurant in Jacksonville I loved.
Great coffee. Went on a date here last weekend and it was a good time. Im going here again with a friend/study-buddy/co-worker on this coming Sunday. If you see me there, definitely dont murder me or my friend/study-buddy/co-worker. Definitely *do* say, Hello I read you review to make me feel famous. I have a beard now.
Odd location but a nice atmosphere if you want somewhere to grab a coffee and sit with your laptop. I was not a fan of their chai but the latte art was nice. The blueberry coffee cake was good as well.
Good local coffee shop, although a bit oddly located in a bit of an industrial area. Coffee was tasty, however the wonderful compostable lid that never fits the cup well (not unique to here) was sharp enough on the bottom that it cut my finger while running around the bottom to get it off. Not directly Wandering Goats issue, but something worth noting.
This is a such a little coffee gem. So unique and always an interesting crowd. They’re open late and have some of the best coffee I’ve found in Oregon so far. I love the old metal style of the actual shop and the baristas are usually friendly but everyone has their off days!Definitely a place to stop for a late night coffee or if you’re just in the area.
Cinnamon roll I had was delicious as was the mocha. Service was great and fast. The vibes here are super chill and the art is awesome. 10/10 will go again.
Was recommended by some family while visiting in Oregon. Their Abyssinia blend has now become my favorite coffee. Will stop back as soon as I get the chance!
One of the best places to get coffee in Eugene. Has a wonderfully welcoming and cozy atmosphere. People in there seem to be happy and friendly every time I go. Great place to study or meet with a friend for a good conversation or to nerd out. Parking is limited, but its worth it to go even if you dont get a good parking spot.
A cool little cafe with great espresso and tasty small plates. Great place for a group or for studying. The staff is really friendly! Very cute building as well. Come by for an Americano and a cinnamon roll!
Open late, fresh pastries made in the kitchen, and high quality coffees and teas. They host a some great shows in the evening and offer a pass-it-forward biscuits and gravy for the travelers or those in need so if you’re feeling extra kind you can provide a warm meal for the next fella down on his luck!Great atmosphere and a great study location for the late night studies.
A long established local coffee shop in Eugenes coolest neighborhood. Good selection of pastries. Eclectic customer base.
The coffee was good (vanilla breve) and cinnamon roll was good (although they said they had no way to heat it). The prices were the highest Ive ever paid. One 20 oz breve was $9.50. So prices were a little too high for me to go back. Lots of seating inside and out. Nice atmosphere inside (part of town was a little weird, very industrial area by train tracks). If you want a paper cup they charge you $. 25.
Good coffee, excellent, friendly service- my only issue is whenever I go there, and its not just me, many people stare and track your every movement. My girlfriend says that is because it is the number one pick up joint in town. She likes it- I dont.
I love this place. Amazing coffee and an interesting environment. Excellent service from wonderful staff.
Good coffee, and good vegan food. Only complaint is that its busy whenever I go in there and sometimes its hard to find a seat. Ive had to ask to join a table so I could eat my food. Still not enough to give it less than 5 stars. That just means people like going there!! Definitely is a hip place.
Nice place to drink coffee, and the coffee is nice. Pastries are a little hit-or-miss but usually good. Vegan options (not that I care). Spots to plug in your laptop. Good live music from time to time.
Latte was good and enjoyed the yeast gravy on the biscuits. You can pay it forward for those in need of a coffee or order of biscuit and gravy. This is a nice touch.
Great local coffee house. Delicious baked goods and an array of coffee options. My Americano was a little bitter, hence 4 stars. Id still go back anytime.
My favorite local spot. Great coffee. I love that they have soy, half and half, and 2% just out for you to help yourself- no extra charge. Very cute inside too.
Great espresso. They know their coffee for sure. Worth the short wait I always find when I arrive so time your visit appropriately. Nice atmosphere inside. Lots of outdoor seating with plenty of room between tables for privacy.
Amazing coffee house. Relaxed atmosphere and very knowledgeable staff. Their house coffee is just okay but their specialty drinks is where the quality of the coffee shines! If you want a the true Eugene experience, come here.
You can feel Eugene style. It looks old fashion. House coffee tasty good.
The espresso varies, some occasions its too dark for my taste but its always prepared perfectly. Nice outdoor seating, close the train tracks. Industrial ambiance inside but welcoming in that they have games available for use (or rent in some cases). Bagels, muffins, granola and other baked goods - nothing gf - hot biscuits and gravy. Lots of creative, artsy touches - theyre not hiding their personality to appease the lowest common denominator. Borgia on the menu!
Amazing vegan biscuits amd gravy. Best Ive tried! I would go back to Eugene just for them anytime. Friendly colorful environment and outside seating.
Staff are friendly and kind. They have good ice tea and hot tea. But they always play very very loud music with high volume. Staff were not happy when were asked to turn down volume. Please choose some soft music with lower volume. Thanks
I had a great day here doing work! Excellent coffee and tea, great pastries and biscuits, all available completely without animal products. Friendly folks, they gave me nice recommendations of things to do around town. Cheers!
No microwave or other method for heating a cinnamon roll? Isnt that a basic requirement?Coffee was tasty, so I guess thats the main point. Its not your typical full service coffee shop though. Ordered a Shot in the Dark and had/got to put my own cream in, depending on how you look at it. IMO its actually kinda nice.Overall great place for coffee (and open late) if you dont mind the somewhat hippie/industrial feel. Then again, unless youre not from Eugene, you probably dont, lol. 😋😉
The Wandering Goat is THE best coffee shop in Eugene. The coffee is always roasted to perfection. The coffee is brewed fresh and there is a true art to their espresso. The staff keeps it real and for the most part are friendly and fun. There is a community feel and everyone is welcomed at this place. Local, organic and down to earth with a quality product! Ifeel you dont like the to-go charge then you should bring your own cup.
The coffee is so good, and extremely caffeinated, and it’s far enough away from the University that it isn’t swamped with college students
The Coffee is decent if you get it at there roaster but if there is a person in front of you expect to wait for 10 to 15 min for a cup of coffee. There service is slow. I like the fresh peanut butter bars and rolls but I am basing this on there coffee and service. The atmosphere is less then to be desired. If you are a hipster you can dig this place for sure.
A safe place for alternative people with delicious coffee and good conversations. Always a good choice
Staff is always friendly. The cafe has a great vibe where it feels like everyone is welcome. Their coffee tastes delicious and they offer several different milk options. Their pastries are made in-house, and are yummy in my tummy.
Good coffee, prices were really jacked up if you wanted Soy. It gets the extra star for the really nice staff and selection of coffee related items you can buy there. I will stick to SB they install wells for people and have a great rep for a larger company. That said if I am in the area I will still stop for a cup.
Great coffee. Chill workers. Lots of local shows. Eugene landmark.
Amazing place, fairly accessible. Super vegan friendly. Best coffee in Eugene!
Punk rock vegan cafe. All about paying it forward. Great place to kick it with all your friends or maybe a date ;)
Absolutely the best coffee in Oregon. They have the best tasting selection of rich aromatic beans.
Me and my father went almost every day until they closed I hope yall open up soon cause I want a matcha and a cinnamon roll
The coffee is good flavored and strong. My daughter likes the atmosphere so we met there to talk. They had good music inside and pleasant seating outside.
This is the night that I found out that the love of my life was seeing another man. Other than that, it was great!
Great coffee. Stands up to its name. Looks to be a local favorite. I can definitely see this place growing into itself. Sparse feeling, but I think its only because of the layout of the coffee room. The customers are quiet introverts mid-day, which is great if you want to be alone and read.
Definitely one of the hottest, hippie hang in town, for good reasons. Besides fantastic coffee and pours of a host of popular craft beer, served by long time employees who are hip cheerful-a delight to talk with, the atmosphere is lowly lit giving it a warm welcome to fellow resource minimalists, and their local sampling of the misfit nerdy types who seek out places such as this as the clienteles conversation chatter reels through topics ranging from NPR this morning to the percentage of THC in the marijuana in hand. You could be in Santa Cruz or San Paulo. Chill, laid back and welcoming-well, as welcoming as Hi Brow Hippiesish usually are. Kudos
We go to Wandering Goat fairly frequently. Its definitely one of our favorite coffee stops in town. Their coffee is often roasted lighter than I use at home, but its always good, and has nuances of flavor achieved by so few roasters.
Loved the small bands that play here! Great atmosphere, awesome people. An some tasty vittles!
Best quality mycotoxin-free espresso. Cleanest espresso Ive had. Love to bring my laptop and get work done here. Love the crowd and atmosphere. Where edgy and friendly meet. Great music.
Mike and his staff at the Wandering Goat provided great customer service.
Good coffee and cute little sitting area :) their large coffee is basically a medium sized coffee though :/
Ive never seen so many hipsters in one place. Coffee was fine. Bathroom graffiti was better. If Oakshire is busy, good luck finding parking.
The perfect espresso every time. My favorite coffee roaster in town, has sweet light roasts and flavorful dark roasts. Vegan pastries, biscuits and gravy, and beer for when you accidently stay all day.
A Must Go To atleast once, if you love here or just visiting, the bathrooms are GREAT seriously 😂🤣😂
Amazing coffee here! Also, wonderful baked goods especially their bagels. I have loved to this coffee shop for almost a decade!
This is a coffee shop with character. The interior is unique and the patrons even more interesting. I had a large Americano and it tasted really excellent - highly recommended!
Super cute place which happens to sell my husband’s favorite espresso beans (chupacabra) which is all I’ve ever gotten while there. The staff was all very friendly and helpful and it has always been busy while I was there. I’ve seen bagels and food as well as all kinds of drinks. Worth a stop.
Fantastic coffee and fantastic roasts. Their in house roasts are some of the best in town, and their shots are a work of beautiful perfection. My coffee snobbery is satisfied. The food is also great. Vegan and GF snacks that can please any eater regardless of diet.Only 1 star off for occasional negative service. Sometimes the staff can be rude.
Good spot to grab wifi and high end coffee. The Borgia is recommended if you like oranges.
A good place to get work done — very quiet in here. Good beverages, good service. Not stellar but it definitely gets the job done.
The coffee is great, and I love how late the place is open. Im a writer and I try to come here to work once a week. About half the time I have to leave because the music is always blasting so loud I cant focus on my work, and even wearing headphones wont drown it out. I really /want/ to like this place and to come here to work more than I do. The music situation makes it really difficult to hang out at this cafe with a laptop and to get work done, whether study or other work.
Its always an experience at this place with its unique customers & its open much longer hours than most. cold brew is my fave but they also make a mean latte
A local coffee-snob favorite. All kinds of coffee, baked goods (with a few vegetarian & gluten free options). I love the borgia! They also have music and beer & wine in the evenings. Whenever I have a free morning to sit around, especially if the weather is nice so that I can sit outside, I like to spend a couple of hours at The Goat. Single-origin, fair-traded and locally roasted heaven!
Stopped in this morning for coffee and decided to try the biscuits and gravy. Id never eaten here before but knew the coffee was great. The biscuits and gravy were pretty delicious! I got a half order and even shared a few bites with my boyfriend. Its different than traditional southern biscuits and gravy, but definitely worth a try.
Serious board game library. Small selection coffee parafanila. Great baked goods. Friendly staff. Peaceful outdoor seating. Fun decorating. This place truly deserves 5 stars.
Good staff. Good espresso. Neighborhood haunt with local flavor. Be sure not to wander out onto the train tracks after a few pints ;)
The atmosphere is nice and the staff are pretty cool. They have baked goods, cold and hot coffe, plus they have pretty cool looking merc. Sweaters and shirts.
Not my cup of tea. food was... not what I eat. Biscuits were delicious, but the green gravy.... 😖
I really like the coffee and snacks, plus the cozy and unique atmosphere definitely beats the chain coffee shops around town.
Love this place, great coffee, pastries, environment and employees. Very nice and helpful if youre undecided. Have board games and good music playing! Gotta check it out!
My wife likes this little coffee shop a lot. It is in the old industrial development that has now become an area for the brewers and upper middle class restaurants. It is a nice place to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee.
It was a great OR place. They have all sorts of different kinds of coffee. They even have hemp coffee, although I do NOT recommend it! :) Such an OR place!
Really great coffee and espresso. Staff are knowledgeable and open up once you start to talk to them.
Most Eugene culture that can be packed into a coffee shop. Love it
Such incredibly good coffee, the best. Borgia is insanely demigod delicious... good for studying or visiting or reading... interesting and generally gregarious staff
So friendly and relaxing. Cute, eclectic place!
