I was generally excited to come here until we got in the door and realized we wouldnt be helped at all as the young lady behind the counter was having some sort of an audible nervous breakdown, with dude from One Direction next to her, consoling. Welp, sorry to hear about all that, but I was here to spend money on a new guitar.Ultimately I didnt find what I was looking for regardless, but I appreciated that they had used gear separate from new gear, and even also a whole other enclosed room for acoustic guitars. Prices seem slightly higher here than Ive seen online. They did have a cool Rhoads V that Ive never seen before. Sure wish they featured more left handed guitars. I will continue shopping somewhere else.
Great place...can still grab a guitar and play about 8 notes of wish you were here...before being asked not to.!Lots of instruments...accessories....staff a little ...uppity...but they seem helpful.....
Larry lazy staff when I called they wouldnt even go look to see turn acoustic guitar that I want it purchase. They told me to come in. Its searching do that great quality stuff if you get the right price
Salesperson in keyboards was very knowledgeable and showed me options for products that met my search goals. Salesperson was also friendly and helpful. I believe her name is Naomi. Good work.
I put a guitar on hold for my 6 year old daughter. I wanted her to do some chores around the house for a couple weeks so she felt like she earned it. We stopped in a couple times and they let her see it, we signed her up for lessons, talked with the staff, she loved it. We went in to buy it and they told me they sold it. It had been 15 days and i was told i didnt put a deposit down. I could have paid for it in full at anytime and was never asked for a deposit or never contacted before they sold it. So now i have a crying kid asking why they would do that and no guitar for her lessons and im upset so i cancel the lessons. Instead of canceling it they charge me again. They reversed it and refunded the money but it took a week for my bank and them to sort it out. You should fire your manager.
Guitar Center Eugene basically changed my attitude towards Guitar Center. Their staff is always helpful and friendly, they go out of their way to give you the best deals and they take returns without a hint of hassle. Guitar Center has a nice bonus points program too, Ive gotten a couple of quality guitar cases for free just by shopping with them. Yes, I miss the old school boutique guitar shops of yore, but honestly, I dont know what I miss so much, I get better deals and theres no stuck up salespeople at GC Eugene.
This is the worst Guitar Center I have ever been too. I shop a lot and spend a very large amount of money at these stores. I stopped in Eugene on a trip and decided to buy a new digital drumset and a new interface. I walked in and not 1 but all three employees had the worst customer service I have ever dealt with in my life. Whoever is managing this store needs fired. And the erogant kids working there need a wake up call. Long story short, they did not get my money, I hardly said anything while I was in there, and was in the drum section for 20 minutes without one person asking if I needed help. They sat up at the front desk playing guitars together. There was only one other customer. And the long haired kid running the recording section was the worst. I wanted my items badly that day but they dont deserve my business. I walked out and went to Medford instead and enjoyed my experience. Dont shop here in Eugene.
Knowledgeable, helpful, friendly staff! Great job fixing our guitar!
Great vibe here! I take lessons here every week and everyone is always so friendly and helpful.
Top notch in every respective. Ive never Ben treated better at any other music store any where in the world. SaysDTRD😎🎸
Nice place. Friendly service. Helped me buy a bass guitar.
They didnt have what I needed. The sales staff was pretty dismissive with me when they realized it and in general seemed rushed to stop dealing with me.
Generally we enjoy our visits to guitar center. We went in this passed weekend to purchase a drum set and the sales person treated us like we were bothering him. Totally bummed out that when times are tough they should be happy to have our kind of business but he wasnt.
Staff were super friendly to my husband and I!
There is something to be said about a currently bare bones(due to the pandemic im guessing) Guitar Center. It has a good range of basic tools to make music. Maybe not a full range of selection, but there is currently enough to have low, mid and high prices/quality gear for the most part. However, if you are looking for something off the beaten path(brand wise) you might need to check elsewhere.Almost zero used gear now.
Pretty cool guitar store most things you have to order though
Great franchise... Employees go above an beyond to make sure youre satisfied... Would recommend although prices are a little high for minuscule items like sheet music books from famous artist... Upwards of $25 for the doors songs when you can go on youtube for free
I just started lessons at this location. The staff is friendly and engaging and the instructor I worked with was knowledgeable and offered new to me techniques for practice.
Great place to try out your options. Staff provided you assistance but was not over attentive. Ended up buying an Amp and other items. Will definitely return.
First time coming through here, really nice and staff were very helpful.
Staff completely disinterested in helping customers, apparently a three way employee conversation was more important than speaking to my wife or I. Honestly though, they had some nice cymbals, but no one would help my wife in the drum room, so no sales there. The selection of bass guitars and amps was downright awful. Very basic beginner stuff that was overpriced. Low end Sterlings, Deans and Jackson’s, the nicest bass was a Mexi Fender PJ that was 250$ overpriced.Just a tip, when you see two adults dressed nicely, with quality tattoo work, it more than likely means we have disposable income and are the exact people you want to engage in a sales conversation.
I was assisted immediately upon entering the store. I found what I was looking for, and the employees were very helpful and knowledgeable.
This is by far the only place other then amazon to get anything music related. Staff are cool as hell, and shout-out to my boy simon keep doing great things mane
Ive been shopping here since 1996. they always make it right and have always let me play on any instrument I fancy. Im a lifer here. they always get first crack at my wallet and always get my money.
Fantastic and friendly. They let us do our thing. But the selection was incredibly slim, so we didnt end up leaving with a guitar as expected.
Their customer service is pretty sad... When you go into a business, and you’re walking around looking at stuff, and the staff members see you, you shouldn’t have to walk over to them and say “hi, can you help me with this?” Common sense customer service is where the staff come to you and ask how you’re doing and if you need assistance, instead of being soo wrapped up in their conversations with each other that they ignore you. 😕
No akai mpcs to try out and the maschine wasnt hooked up over on the mac to try out either. Wanted to hit some pads. Awe :( Could use new carpet if memory serves me right. Respect to the employees though, looked a bit chaotic.
Amazing customer service, great selection, great prices, all around pleasant vibe to the place.
The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Everybody was veryfriendly.
Beautiful store and so much ❤to look at!
Place is great and the employees are alway helpful.
I like the store but the amount of electronic music equipment is limited. If you have a brick and mortar store, the customer should be able to check out the gear before purchasing. Other than the lack of inventory I love the place.
Great selection of instruments, gear, wire, ect. Staff members are friendly and knowledgeable.
Friendly and helpful staff. Had a good variety with limited options. Parking lot is terrible with all compact spaces. Will definitely go again if the need arises.
A variety of products Im interested in. Good range of products to suite your personal, professional, or gift needs.
Friendly and helpful staff, good prices & a price match policy which is good. But I had a bad experience on the business end of things. I ordered an item online, only to have the wrong thing shipped to me (from a different guitar center). I went to this one to return said item. I returned it, but never actually received my refund on my card. Its been 3 days since and still no actual money refunded.
Very awful, awkward and confusing customer service by a male worker who pick up my phone call. One month ago I visited the store asking a certain type of keyboard with detail information. They told me to come back later and I waited for a month to call, asking the same keyboard and hoping they could have get more in stock, the person who pick up the phone seems Not having the ability to understand my question of whether their product price on web would be the same price of the product in store ( which I just want to know how much they would sell.) This male guitar center faculty refuse to let me know the price and said if I would buy Three keyboards then he would give me a discount. What is this??? I’m just calling and ask some question! No pay no question????If they are a experience seller, they should know a popular item’s retail price with no problems, or he could simply say he doesn’t know the price instead of giving me this unfriendly attitude. As a customer I feel unwelcome to go to their store so DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE, go somewhere else if you want something off their website.
I bought a piano for my wife they help me put the key numbers on the piano that was nice of them thank you very much
My husband went in to get a birthday gift for his brother, who is a musician. He let the associate know that he himself isnt a musician, was interested in a banjo for his brother, and wanted some information. The associate pointed to the one banjo they had in store, went off about how everything was flying off the shelves because people were spending their government money on guitars, and that hed better get that last banjo while it was there. He then walked off to sit at the register, and there was no one else to help.My husband was upset and almost walked out, but went to find another associate who was actually very helpful. He offered to play the banjo and provided information that my husband needed, and helped in the purchasing process.A sour first impression with poorly handled customer service almost ruined our likelihood of ever coming back to this store. We are greatful for the seemingly more experienced and kind gentleman who helped my husband in making a sound purchase.
Talk to BRANDON for advice on the right guitar for YOU 😉
Great staff. They helped me get back to playing electric guitar
Limited on older equipment knowledge
Everyone here is very friendly and helpful and its the best place to go in town for selection.
Went in. Got exactly what I wanted. Went in the next day. Got exactly what I wanted. The atmosphere for musicians crackles in the air at Guitar Center!
Knowledgeable staff and very friendly. Loved the drums. They let me play so I could see how bad I am lol
Great fast, friendly service. Had exactly what I needed.
The people that work here are very knowledgeable in very polite a great place to go if you play instrument
I believe its headed out of business shoddy selection and lazy staff. I once walked behind the counter holding my money up above my head.....and slowly walked out with a bag of pics and money above my head. I was probably one of two customers in the whole store around 11am
Its really all there is as far as music stores without having to go all the way to Portland.
I know the Covid times make things weird but I dont like feeling pressured like Im supposed to know exactly what I want as soon as I walk in the door. Always have a good selection of quality equipment though..
Cody, Ian and Drew were able to take care of my needs today even though there were folks in/around the shop. They handled an online order from a GC in another city and they did so like total pros. A great little spot for Eugene and we need spots like this in these times.
Very disappointed. I was told that they could get me what I needed but would be better for me to just purchase on Amazon. In these difficult times I am sure the owner would love to know they are purposely sending business out the door. Horrible experience.
Great selection. Great service. Great prices.
I got my bass there. pretty rad
My granddaughter is 6 and taking guitar lessons. She is really shy and it usually takes her a long time to warm up to people. She met her instructor Garrett Davis and instantly shook his hand and told me I didnt need me to sit in on the lessons! By the end of the first lesson she knew all the chords and was practicing like crazy😊. The staff here are all super friendly and knowledgeable. For first time lessons this has been an amazing experience!
Great staffDecent seletionFair prices.Price matching is always a bonus and their extended warranties are actually worth it..
Cody was awesome
Had a really great experience working with Christian to assist in buying a starter set of amp and guitar for my boyfriends son. Very honest and professional and top notch customer service! Thanks Christian for your help! You were fantastic to work with!!
If You need something at Guitar Center on Green Acres Road, Eugene, CODY is Your Man! He is Knowledgeable, Efficient & Effective. He follows up. He gets things done. Hes the guy You want to talk to. I cant say enough good things about CODY!
Too few allowed in the store at one time. I shop in Eugene not here.
Always love Guitar Center really nice people and I get honest opinions I asked about a guitar and ask him to give me his opinion. To my surprise he made a face and then indicated that there were two other better choices and both of them were less money. Theyve earned my business more than once and I will keep going back
Their inventory is pretty small, as its not a very big store, but they make the most of their space. Very attentive and friendly staff, handled my return very quickly, and with absolutely no problems. While its a national chain store, they definitely maintain that locally owned store. Definitely recommend giving them a try if you are in the need for musical equipment.
Friendly and has good prices
My sons been receiving guitar and voice lessons for over a year now. He had shown great improvement. Whenever I go shopping for myself the staff are helpful when needed but wont hover if one already knows what they want.
Playing a gig touring through Eugene this evening, No sales staff available in drum room. When I asked an associate for assistance retrieving items from behind the counter I was told that they were busy settling in for a jam night. I left without being helped, dissatisfied. Obviously didnt need my money or support a touring musician. Poor customer service. Ill get my product in Portland at a mom an pop shop.
I have noticed a big drop off in costumer service over the last year or so. Been a costumer for 20 years. It use to be a decent experience but just left and was in the store for almost 30 minutes and was not greeted, or asked if I needed help. There were three employees I saw near the entrance and none said a word to me. The drum section was unattended the entire time and was my deciding factor to not purchase the drum thrown I went in for. I hope they can improve their customer service and professionalism.
The employees sure do know what they are doing. Very informal. If you have any questions they know the answer or will figure it out for you of they do not know the answer. They also offer lessons for most instruments. In house lessons. This is a very big store. It is set up nicely easy to find what ever it might be you are looking for. Friendly and helpful staff. Great prices to.
Eugene Guitar Center has always been great!! Jason & Christian are always willing to bend over backwards to do what ever they can to help me. My band plays almost every weekend and I ask for their help often. I highly recommend you go shop in this store. Thank you for all your help.Matthew Marshall
My son met his instructor Case tonight, within minutes of meeting him I had already felt comfortable with him and just felt the perfect vibe! After getting home and speaking with my child and hearing what was taught I couldn’t be anymore happy with his lesson! I’m super excited to see what he can do with my child thank you Case!!
Im pretty disappointed in the service at the green acres location! I just spent $300 on a new guitar and when I asked the guy, if he could have it tuned before I pay this money? He was extremely hesitant to help me! Then he did an extremely shifty job tuning my guitar! This is the Last time I will shop at guitar center! Chris weaver
Easy return on my item, great customer service online over the phone and in store
This place feels a bit like a wasteland. Everything is dusty, theres a lot thats out of stock, and many of the staff dont ask if they can help you--you have to go to them. That being said, their selection is better than most places in town so its worth a visit if you are shopping for instruments or music-related products. You might want to call first though to see if they have what youre looking for.
Got my guitar from here
Stopped here while on tour to buy some pedal springs and try out some snares and cymbals. Its not the biggest guitar center, but the staff is nice and helpful. I was there at 10am banging on drums and they didnt mind.
I was refused entry today by an employee who shall remain nameless.I have COPD and cannot restrict my airway in any manner because of the shallow breathing that us caused by my condition...Anyhoo, I informed the gentleman of my issue and was then told that their company allowed no exceptions. He even told me he would lose his job if he allowed me in the store without a mask...Now, Im normally an easy going dude, but I feel discriminated against because of a handicap.Otherwise, I live this place. I have shoppedthere for many years, hence 2 stars not 1... Definitely enjoy the new sheet music i bought from their competitor.
I ordered the mini Coco x Cordoba guitar as a Christmas present for my son. They sent the guitar box with the gig bag and guitar strap, but the guitar itself was left in the show room. I called in and once they realized the mistake they shipped out the guitar. The guitar was delivered with in a really nice Road Runner gig bag (way nicer than the one that comes with the guitar). I really appreciated everything they did to make sure my son got his gift.
Its like the McDonalds of music stores. Thankfully the sales associates are friendly and helpful.
They didnt have half of what we were looking for and prices are a bit high.
I love the Guitar Center. The staff is super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. If they dont carry the item youre looking for they will order it for you. If they dont have an answer theyll find it-great customer service. They also have a large room they give lessons in. Clean and carry lots of stock. They do carry other instruments besides guitars. I bought a keyboard and music book there. Handicapped parking available. Please click the > or LIKE below if you found this review helpful ☺
Excellent customer service. Jillian provided fantastic service for my online purchase that I arranged for in-store pickup. She was proactive in helping me, checked on my order, put the item on hold for me to pickup, and made sure to check that the item was in the condition I would expect when I arrived to pick it up. Definitely the type of service level that will keep me coming back here for my purchases.
Its a fine music store, youre better off ordering things off their website though if youre looking for gear since they dont carry much variety in store. I have seen some big crowds show up for lessons and recitals though.
Great guys.. helpful and knowledgeable
The place is well organized and personnel i very helpful and knowledgable, I was able to try the instruments I wanted and I had recommendations from the staff. I was super excited. Thank you guys!
I found what I was looking for. And workers were very friendly, respectful and knowledgeable. Thanks Matt! You rock! The power adapter worked great. My keyboard is up and going.
Every time I go to this store I cannot get anyone to help me. I just went again today for some drum parts and waited for 10 minutes in the drum room. I walked the store and found an employee talking about the local talent pool of Eugene, another on the phone, and the last fervently trying to avoid eye contact with me. Im done. Ill buy online from now on.
Really good! The employees were very helpful and friendly. The only problem was I was in the drum room for quite awhile wanting sticks and nobody came to help but I just grabbed them myself and it was no biggie! Also the price for my items came out wrong but they were quick to change the prices on the spot and were absolutely great.
Called for TRRS male to male cable, employee said they said had them, turns out they didnt.
Not a big selection with covid....
I dont speak, for other people experience, the only thing that I can talk about, its the Lessons Center at Guitar Center, it seems to me that all the teachers are really good, and experienced, Case Federal is my nieces vocal teacher, He is so experienced in vocal, guitar, piano, and drums,it seems to me that he enjoys teaching, Before him my niece was taking lessons with Grant, another great teacher, I am glad that he is back at Guitar Center. Good job!
As a musician for 60 years I like Guitar Center better than most music stores. The employees are very good and the atmosphere is something a musician loves. Thanks to all of you.
This location has a pretty small selection when it comes to products. Some of the staff (most) will try and upsell you which is expected for a retail store but it makes it hard for newcomers. Youre better off either ordering online or going to another music shop in my opinion.
Nice staff and decent selection. A few Guitar centers offer bigger selection. However, this location is unique in that it has an adjacent large room for lessons and band activities. Cool
I’ve been to other guitar centers, and this one as well, who have helped me put on my strings for free since I haven’t gotten the hang of it yet. Today I bought the strings as usual, and then was directed to the service area. The service guy told me I could pay an additional $20 to have him help me go through putting the strings on myself, or go watch a YouTube video. Honestly, I don’t mind if that policy has changed since the last time I visited this store. I don’t need to be disrespected though. I’m learning. You’re better off going to a different music store or going online instead of dealing with the incredibly poor service here. It’s really discouraging to be honest, especially for novice guitar players like me.
The best guitar store in town. Great selection! Been to Nashville, which is the gold standard. This place is a strong silver!
I love guitar center Ive been coming here for years! They have an excellent staff who are always ready to help. Everything a musician needs can be found here!
Good selection, knowledgeable and friendly staff. They have sections for electric guitars (6, 7, 8 string), acoustic guitar and acoustic bass room, soprano and baritone ukuleles, ukulele bass, percussion/kits, electronic kits, cymbals, sheet music books, keyboards, DJ equipment, speakers and monitors, etc. All the essentials. The guitar repair specialist was very knowledgeable and took a look at one my guitar to assess damages and gave good advice.
Not a local music store, but a place to at least put hands on gear.
Just stopped in to get some drumsticks until look around at the equipment
