Ive purchased a few custom pickguards/truss rod covers over years from Terrapin and I have to say that Im very happy with whatever I order from them. Years ago I purchased a pickguard, truss rod cover and access cover for an Epi Custom and recently a tortoise pickguard for my newly acquired 1980 Ibanez Cimar bass. If I had any questions or concerns they always responded and in a timely manner. Expecting my new bass to arrive sometime in May & plan on placing another order.

Mary seems like a nice person when I spoke to her on the phone.But manHer work is absolutely horrible.I wanted at least 4 or 5 pickgaurds to be made.When I got the pickgaurds back, nothing fits correctly. In some cases nothing fit at all.When I sent back some of the stuff to have redone, it took absolutely ages to get them back.And guess what?They came back with problems as well.Mary if you are reading this, you need to get your sh!$ together, otherwise you will lose this business.Again you seem like a nice person.But your work is absolutely awful.I say avoid at all cost.Yes she is cheaper than many, but what good is that if the work is faulty!

When I spoke to Mary on the phone she was fantastic. When I didnt hear back from her after I paid her, I got concerned and read some bad reviews. So I put a hold on AMEX. A few days later the pick guard showed up on time and was perfect craftsmanship. I couldnt ask for anything more and was so glad that my first impression of her was right. Of course I reversed the stop payment and am very satisfied with her work. She did tell me that she was very busy and since she is a one person operation, she may be a little lax with communication, but nothing is lacking in her skills. Thanks Mary and sorry for getting nervous on you.

Shouldve read the reviews on here. Just opened a case with PayPal to refund, since they wont reply to my e-mails. Sucks. I ordered a second pick guard from another company on the same day for another guitar and it feels like I received that one ages ago now. Go elsewhere, not here.

Purchased a custom pickguard. It arrived quickly and was perfect.

Purchased an item from Terrapin Guitars and recieved no product or information from the seller about said product. Attempts to contact them about the matter via phone and email were ignored, but they conveniently responded to a separate inquiry about a custom pickguard quote. Luckily managed to get my money back via paypal but DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY.

Ive had these good folks work on two projects for me and the results have been perfect. I considering my next order now.I read someone was disappointed, I cant imagine that. Mary has never let me down. Send them your dream, and they will make it come true.

Terrapin Guitars did a great job cutting pickguards for my two 40 year old Eko Ranger Guitars. (The original plastic guard warped and pulled off leaving gross marks that I wanted to cover.) The replacements I ordered from Terrapin arrived on time and were well crafted.For the 6 string guitar I used the template they provide online and it fit perfectly. The online template (for a 6 string Ranger) was not an exact fit for the 12 string guitar. I had to modify it and send the change request to them. The fee for the custom changes was modest.They cut to my specifications. The result was true to spec and fit very well. Thank you Terrapin.

Perfectly made Custom Telecaster pickguard. I ordered it with a Stratocaster cutout in the middle position and a Mini humbucker in the neck position. Check youtube Mini Telecaster. Super good work.

DO NOT BUY - They will take your money and never give you any product or reply to any calls or emails. All calls go to voicemail and are not returned. SCAM. Now I have to try to see if I can get my money back through paypall...HORRIBLE.
