Bait and switch. Just be aware of what your actually buying. Mattress in store we tried out was not the mattress I got. After I loaded it in my truck the salesjerk tells me no returns or refunds because of covid. Just a heads up. We visited American Mattress for the great prices and wide selection they advertise on TV. Its true about the prices and selection, but we got a LOT more than that. They took a lot of time to help educate us about which mattress would be right for us- and they didnt try to just sell us the most expensive product like at other places we visited. The bed arrived about 1 week later than anticipated due to Oregon wildfires- TOTALLY understandable and they kept us informed the entire time. We really did get price, selection (LOVE the bed), and awesome follow up service.Will absolutely buy here again.

I’m certain I am in the top 5 fastest mattress sales in their history. From walking in their show room to having the mattress loaded took well under 10 minutes.Very pleasant people and a huge selection. Sales guy was great and they are very organized.

We went in on Saturday afternoon to purchase a custom made RV mattress. The salesman was very helpful, offering several options to choose from that could be made to order. We were told it might take up to a week to finish, no problem. They called Sunday before noon to say it was ready! Very pleased with the product so far. It fits my couch/bed perfectly. I’ll add more after I sleep on it a few nights. Thank you American Mattress!

Excellent service and even better products! I recently purchased a bed frame, dresser and memory foam mattress. I was a little concerned that the new mattress would not be as comfortable as my previous tempurpedic mattress, however, after now using my new mattress it is just as comfortable and perhaps even more comfortable than my old tempupedic, I can sleep without waking to change position but also it is much easier when time to change the sheets. I couldnt be happier with my purchase.

Great place to go get a mattress this was our 3rd mattress in the past 3 or so years, and am going to have them custom make one for my travel trailer. Highly recomend

Buyer beware- do not purchase from this company if you are not 100% sold with what you are purchasing. They will not give refunds and they did not disclose that to us at time of purchase. We hadn’t even unloaded the furniture from the trailer or unboxed it in any way when the next morning we decided it was not at all what we wanted and they would not refund us or work with us at all. There are a lot of good furniture stores in town that will stand behind making the customer happy. This is not one of them.

We went to this store to support local business and locally produced products. When we started to set up the box spring we found that the dimensions were askew and that one side was longer than the other, resulting in the box spring not fitting into the bed frame. Not only was it off kilter but the construction was shoddy with wrinkled fabric and random staples. We found the management unresponsive and unhelpful. I can not recommend this store to anyone.

Sales woman told me wrong payment amount for the financing plan I accepted then she told me that the headboard of the bed I liked was removable. When the delivery guys came, the bed didnt fit. The headboard was not removable. Also they advertise the removal of the old bed. Thats not correct. They take the old mattress, you are responsable for the removal of the old frame. Its just like working with a used car salesman. You cant trust anything they say. Save yourself the headaches go to Eugene Mattress instead those guys are cheaper and very honost about what they sell.

This place has the worst customer service ever! I found the bed I thought was the one but I ended up returning 2 times and paid for return fee. No problem.Then on last choice with Her I would say she was Daddys little princess and could never be wrong. She showed me the awesome mattress cover, I just loved it. Told her that I would take it. She said she would write up the new order. I had $200.00 in store credit that I had with them.Two days later was time to pick up. I had changed my mind about the cover. I called the store up and talked to the employee and told him who I was. After all I was in the store 4 different times. Told him to tell the manager that I changed my mind. Told him to take it off the order. He said no problem. My brother was there when I made the call. My nephews set up bed for me, I was on the phone and was busy. The boys left and I looked at my new mattress and I was confused, there was that awesome mattress cover on my bed! The boys had know idea about the cover.I called the lady manager up and told her the mistake. I could tell she wasnt happy about this.My brother took it right back. She said she never go the message that I didnt want it and her employee said I never called!🤥🤥 Even though my phone had a record of it. She called me a Liar!So I got stuck with a LARGE STORE CREDIT $$$$The employee forgot to write it down and tell her about my choice the customers choice!So she got her big commission.Horrible thing to happen to me when they called me a Liar or I must have called the, Other Store!!Shame on you all

The price we payed for what we got was great and was exactly what we were expecting to get when we left the store. Everyone was quick and helpful. I dont know if the instructions on how to put it together got lost during shipping but luckily I am patient and have put large items with multiple pieces together before. This is meant to help out others that should buy from this store but just to remind everyone to double check on instructions if you dont have internet set up yet as a new home buyer.

So far, our experience has been very poor. My husband purchased a mattress at the West 11th store before Christmas. Within 3 days time, the mattress was sagging on one side and coming undone. We are not heavy people, so was very surprised by the wear. My husband has left 4 messages and email with NO results. He did speak with several people who said the person who could “handle” this would call him back. We have waited over a week for a “return phone call”. We are very frustrated. He has to sleep in our guest bedroom because the new mattress hurts his back so badly. I would not normally post.. but we really have exhausted all resources. On a side note, I found it interesting that he was told he had to bring in his receipt of purchase. In this day and age, if you don’t have record in your office of a purchase.. your business practices are very antiquated among other things...

Made a business purchase, asked for delivery 2 miles away and was told to $45.00 in cash to the driver when he showed up. Magically it was the guy who owned the place. I was looking for a mattress for my personal residence, Im not doing that sort of deal again. It was shady business as best.

Myself and family members came in on two separate occasions to mattress shop and both times received outstanding customer service with multiple employees. Once I decided on one, we scheduled a day and it arrived on time, as expected by two very kind and efficient young men. Not only was I able to buy a high quality Made in Oregon mattress for a reasonable price, but I found out these guys opporate as a local family! Feels great to support them. Thank you guys! I am so pleased :)

No pressure sales, so I have been a longtime customer of American Mattress. Bought all my kid’s beds there over the years. In 2016, purchased an $800 Simmons mattress and platform bed for myself. Within 4 months, the mattress was sagging in the center. Contacted AM and was told to take pix to submit a claim under Simmons warranty. Did so and was told it was denied as it needed to be at least 1.5” for the factory warranty. They told me to keep measuring and resubmit again over time. A year later talked with AM again. They had absolutely no records of any claim submitted the previous year. I also told them the mattress wasn’t sagging 1.5”, but the store manager Mandy encouraged me that they wanted to help and said she hadn’t had a claim denied yet! After not hearing any follow up from Mandy, I called Mandy and she said she submitted the claim, didn’t know why she hadn’t heard anything, but didn’t offer anything else. I asked her to resubmit, which she did. Still didn’t hear anything back from her. I called again, and said she still had no info from Simmons. I asked her to follow up again. She frustratedly said she would call Simmons and promised to call me. Still no phone call. I called again a few days later, and she said claim was denied. Said there was nothing else she could do (after having said initially they wanted to help me). I told her it’s not right that I have been sleeping on a mattress that sagged after 4 months, and I have had to lay blankets under me to level it out. She offered nothing other than to keep measuring???? A few days later, I left a message for the owner, Cheryl Brazil to call me to discuss this. No call was returned. I then sent a letter to Cheryl explaining this whole situation in detail, with dates, names, etc. There has been no response. Run, don’t walk, away from this business. Terrible customer service and I’m sorry I gave them my business over the past 20 years.

Two younger males came to put together my bed. one was kind. the one that was wearing a hat and had a beard was exceptionally rude to me and also insulting the other that was helping him. surprisingly unprofessional as I have dealt with the company over the years.

American Mattress is friendly when you walk in, until you buy your mattress... my mother is 79 yes old bought a mattress, too firm, traded it back for a mattress $400.00 less; they swindled her for her refund... dont make a mistake, pick right the first time!

Bought a memory foam mattress from these folks. Clerk was very helpful and friendly.

My husband took my daughter to pick out a mattress set...she of course picked a very expensive set that was more than I wanted to pay. I went in the following business day to cancel the delivery and told them we would be back to look. I then discovered they charged my account and when I called for a refund they refused to refund the $$ despite the fact that the bed was never delivered and the order cancelled in less than 48 hours. On top of that when I tried to explain that to the owner I was hung up on....now no bed and Im out $769.00 (by the way the bed was half that price at other retailers).

I called around town pricing memory foam mattresses & this place was the least informative and not friendly or inviting. I got better service at Fred Meyer, Rent A Center & Big Lots.

Ok this is by far the worst company I have ever purchased from. Not just as a mattress store but but as a company itself. Now when it came to finding a mattress it wasnt all so bad. I just laid down on mattresses until I found the one I like. I bought the mattress I wanted along with an adjustable base which in total came to about over 2100 dollars. I bought this on the 29th of April and was told it would be delivered May 4th. May 4th came I called and was told it wont be in until May 7th, May 7th rolls around they call me saying it wont be in until May 12th which is a saturday. I get a call today (May 11th) and was told that the mattress wont be in until monday and until monday and wont be in until tuesday the 14th. This makes the mattress 10 days late! Now that may not seem bad but you have to realize I bought a 2000 dollar bed because the bed I am currently sleeping on is hurting my back. I bought the bed thinking it was going to be a 5 day wait not a 15 day wait with a good chance of waiting longer. In short never buy from American Mattress because youll wait close to a month for your bed and the staff will not give a damn about your complaints.P.S. I couldnt get it myself because I dont have a truck and its coming from the manufacturer.

Bought a sectional couch, matress and a platform bed.Couch within first month became more uncomfortable as time goes on. We began to slide off couch as cushions are terrible and couch is very uncomfortable we have to put pillows under cushions so our butt doesnt hurt so much. My tail bone has been sore ever since we got the couch. Then the seams on cushions are falling apart. Store lead us to believe we had a life time warranty. But yet i find there is limited warranty on different parts. Then the ottomen was ordered extra and they forgot to treat with stain ressistant product.Then the bed we should of known that some was wrong with this company when we found there was no filling in the bed causing us constantly roll off side of bed. Plus this bed was hurting our backs more than our 20 year old mattress, which of course was long gone with no return. We found out that they some how forgot to put all the stuffing into the bed. And then we were told that they make these mattresses themselves they neglected to initially explain that they use old matresses to create their so called new mattresses. We had to wait for another useable mattress for them to make us a new one. Thinking some thing still was not right we went back to the store to check out floor model which had a pillow top addition for comfort soooo comfortable. We asked why our mstress does not have the pillow top. They said that the floor model was not what you actually get. They claim they include the pillow top in the mattress not as separate top. Well as we found out the matress does not include enough stuffing to make a good mattress let a pillow top quality. We should of taken everything back but we kept getting explaination after explaination. Mattress is still not any comparison to mattress on the floor. I would rather of taken the floor model.Now for the platform bed frame it too is of poor quality support is terrible. After couple months my husband and i kept rolling to the middle of the bed and it was almost impossible to get out of the bed. So we took off mattress to examine the frame. We found tbat it was barely holding together and the support in middle had collapsed there was just a flimzy support pegs that bend all over the place hense the collapse of middle mattress. Support boards were not all attached nor was there enough support boards. So my husband had to pretty much rebuild parts of frame to keep it all together temporily until we can come up with enough money to fix the problems. Even with my husbands fixes it is still very fragile. We move the bed the wrong way it will fall.THE FURNITURE WE RECIEVED IS NO WHERE NEAR WORTH THE AMOUNT PAID FOR IT. What I bought 20 years earlier from RIFES HOME FURNITURE was so much better than what we purchase at AMERICA MATRESS MANUFACTURES. RIFES furniture lasted me 20 years before I got tired of it and wanted a change.BEWARE make sure you are purchasing and getting what you think you are.Extremely Unhappy

The person who runs/owns this business is the rudest man I have ever done business with. We purchased a memory foam mattress for our new fifth wheel which needed to be cut down to fit the RV. We love the mattress, but it has been cut to different widths depending on where you measure. After trying to work out a time to get this fixed we finally took our RV to the West 11th store. The mattress was measured and because they refused to actually measure the entire mattress we were accused of just wanting the mattress cut smaller. The owner/manager was so completely rude to me accusing me of wasting his time and giving his staff a hard time. If we really wanted to have the mattress cut smaller we would have just paid the $25.00 to have it done instead of being put through this experience. As we were leaving I was threatened that if I made a negative review I would be hearing from his attorney. Every single word of this review is true and of my own opinion.

No one was actively rude but I couldnt find anything in my price range except for a mattress that later proved to cause me burning sensations due to what Im going to guess was the toxicity of its make up. Very much NOT worth it to buy the Tempurkids mattress or whatever it was. This company is not being responsible to have it in stock, materials llike that arent fit to spend 8 hours a night lying on, especially not for kids.
