The guys here are awesome and super knowledgeable on computer and laptop stuff. Above all, I appreciate how honest they have been with me. Ive taken my laptop in a couple times and theyve told me exactly what needs to be done and how much it will cost, without charging me for a diagnosis. Ive come here for the last 4 years and keep coming back every time!

Always can count on getting my computer problem fixed unlike other usual sources like Geek or the neighborhood teenager. They aren’t the least expensive but you get what you pay for. Especially with computers. Anyone else take a computer to Best Buy or the like, leave for nearly weak, pay what they ask to only have the same or yet another problem? Well, High Performance has always been spot on with their diagnosis and repair. I don’t let anyone else touch my computers.

Im very happy with the combined work they did to save years of work and transfer it to a new computer. Their advice on related subjects such as improved internet access, improved back up of files and related topics was very helpful.

They quickly identified the problem I came in for, and completed the repair in a reasonable amount of time. They also found a few more problems with my computer and fixed those issues as well. Very diligent work. I also learned a lot about computers just by talking to the guys about how my computer was broken.

This business should be avoided at all costs. I took my computer in as it appeared the power supply had failed. After a few days I was informed the computer was cheap junk and not worth repairing. He told me the power supply and the mother board had failed ..He said the SSD drive and hard drive were also failing and there were some corrupted files. He charged me $85 for the diagnostic and told me to bring another drive so he could transfer my data. He then told me I should buy a better computer from him as name brands never lasted more than a year or so. His offer was for a new unit with an Intel 3 processor with 8 gigs of ram for $900 to $1200. I told him I could get an 8th generation Intel 7 computer with a 224 SSD and 1 terrabite back up drive with 32 gigs of Dimm 4 memory for the same price. He said it would be junk and I was making a mistake. This is my wifes computer and I had mentioned she worked at Northwestern. He found her email in the data and sent her a message stating I was passing down my one year old Intel 7 computer (with her agreement which he didnt know) and buying junk. He requested a meeting with her to demonstrate my errors. She was offended. He then charged me for 2 hours for transferring the data as he said it had to be done manually.I decided to have other experts examine the computer. The results were as follows:Power Supply-good, Mother Board not working, SSD drive perfect, Back Up hard Drive-perfect, no corrupted data.When confronted he denied everything but did not charge me for the 2 hours.This company should not be in business. They will overcharge for work not needed and are most interested in selling their own low performance computer. Unfortunately most people are not sufficiently knowledgeable to know the difference.I have never left a negative review before for anything but felt this was too important to ignore.

Called upon Shawn and the HPC crew to build a custom desktop for our office. Although a list of requirements was already prepared, Shawn wanted to know the nature of our work, to ensure the best computer was built, as opposed to just blindly following a list of parts.Like a great chef knows their cooking, Shawn knows his own computer work.Not only do they build (and upgrade and repair) computers, they take their service beyond the traditional. They offer home/office calls for repairs, and also when performing upgrades (specifically HDD upgrades) will transfer all your files to the new HDD, so when you fire up your machine next, its just like working with your old machine. Everything just as you left it!Also, if there is a low/no cost alternative to certain fixes, they will make sure to mention it, so theres no price gouging or money grubbing attitude there, either!Highly recommended.
