I visited an optician for the medical side of my eyes but not for the vision part of it because they didn’t accept our insurance. My son recommended this place so I made an appointment and went. I can only visit once a year and while the girls in the front were very kind and helpful, the one who did the pre testing was kind but I’d recommend that if she or anyone else speak to the optometrist/ doctor or whoever, make sure that the customer/ patient doesn’t hear the conversation. The optometrist came in and did the exam very quickly and said that I have cataracts and need them removed when I get tired of not seeing. He then said that I would pass a drivers test?? I asked about updating my glasses to help me see. He said I will give you glasses but it’s not going to make much of a difference. And sent me on my way. The glasses are fine but the prescription can be better. Now I have to wait until the beginning of the year to visit another place. Never have I felt like I wasn’t important enough to be properly taken care of. I first gave a review on social media and it was a good one but only for the employees who were respectful
The entire staff are so kind and Dr. Omar was straight to the point and did great. Vickie assisted me and were awesome! They take precautions with Covid and they also had my new glasses ready for me, less than an hour. WOW! I definitely recommend Visionworks for your future frames/contacts. Great service and people.
Excelent place, where you will find the most wonderful people to take care all your needs, highly recommend, I feel really thankful to this wonderful people because I was having an emergency and I was desperate looking for a Dr. to exam my eyes, I wasnt able to see and had double and blurry vision witha extreme headaches, but as soon as they answer the phone and heard my symptoms they accept me to go in right away and give me the help I needed it, I love you all thank you for everything.GOD BLESS YOU ALL AT VISIONWORKS ALWAYS

I will be coming back when I need new glasses or an eye exam. Every representative was friendly, patient and willing to explain all of our options. I felt well taken care of. The staff was professional, courteous and we were in & out in no time. We had appointments but I noticed several walk ins came in as well. Also, they have a machine that is an alternative to having your eyes dilated that I opted in for and I loved that as I hate having my eyes dilated. My husband and I will definitely be back.

Ive been getting glasses here for the past 4-5 years. But after today, Im never going back. I had what I thought was a smudge on my lens on glasses that were 4-5 months old. After speaking with one of the reps, it was actually stress fractures. Ok, if I purchased a $50 warranty, they would replace the lenses. The new lenses had the same issue but this time on both sides. Took them back again, they said no problem, we have the lenses in stock. Came back an hour later, the have me the same damaged ones back. I think Ill go anywhere else.
Very clean and professional! Protocol for Covid infection control is very good. Staff and Doctor were all so pleasant and friendly. They made me feel like I had been going there for years. They gave me all the answers to my questions and lots of other information I did not know. Their selection of frames is fantastic. I am really excited about getting my new glasses and my 1st ever pair of prescription sunglasses!!! I’m telling all my friends!
Overall a really good experience. The doctor explained everything in terms an average person would understand. There was one employee who was quite rude but other than her, it was a friendly place.
Dr.Shake was amazing and extremely helpful with information about the tests he performed and walked me through everything as this was the first time that I had an eye exam! The entire staff were helpful answering questions I had and helping me learn how to remove and place contacts into my eyes! Everyone was pleasant to deal with!

They do not warranty their glasses if the frames break. My sons glasses were less than 30 days old and they refused to replace them. I had pay a $150 for a new set

Great staff that gives a lot of attention to your needs. I also love that they have a private entrance at the mall in the very front, so no need to have to go in and through the mall when I amshort on time. Hours are good and I can work them around my schedule or just pop in if I need something.
The most inconvenient place ever. I had an appointment today and they wouldn’t treat me because I’m not of age. They needed a parent to sign for me yet I go to work and pay for my bills including insurance. I don’t understand how I can work full time and pay taxes but I can’t see a doctor.
There once was a doctor here that I could tell was checked out and was just checking patients off like they were just a busy work task list. I almost didnt come back. I learned there was a change in doctors, so I decided to give them another shot. Dr. Gibson is beyond amazing! Not only was she fun and caring for my standard eye exam, but she worked late on a Saturday to get me in for an emergency visit for my irritated eye. I was in between my split shift and was worried Id be late making it back to work, but they had me in and out with my prescription within 30 minutes. My eye was already perking back up and less painful before I went back to work.She wasnt upset that she had to stay late, she was happy about staying late because she was able to help me. That is truly a doctor that cares about her patients and her specialty. I dont know about you, but I find it is more difficult every day to find a doctor like that.
Extremely rude!!! Was told they didnt have the time (or knowledge) to answer my questions. And when I said I would go elsewhere they said they already charged my insurance so I couldnt. When my contacts finally arrived I had to look up which one went in which eye. They only thingthat was good was the dr was very nice. I will go elsewhere from now on and spend double

I very much enjoyed my experience with Visionworks. Everyone was super friendly and knew their stuff. I always find I appreciate a place more when staff is friendly with you, especially when it comes to things health and body related and they definitely made me want to come back.

I have been a patient with this company since they opened in evansville. I have never had any issues with them their staff has always been polite and the doctors have been amazing. This year has been a different story the staff is not knowledgeable or understanding of patients needs. One of your staff members didn’t follow up with doctors orders I even came in the store to get an answer and got the run around. One of your employees was rude and condescending I’ve never been so disrespected in my life by a retail worker. I will no longer be going in there and I hope no other patient is ever treated this way. It’s honestly a shame what healthcare has turned into.
As always it is a pleasant visit there. Any optometrist I have had has been very thorough and friendly. I will continue my exams there until they may require a specialist. George Rogers

I have been trying to get my glasses since March. I understand with the Covid19 situation things may be delayed. However, when they screw up 3 times and cant keep anyone in the store to service their customers you get sent to another store another state away and then they screw up as well. Glasses still arent correct!
I was extremely pleased with the whole experience! The staff was very friendly and helpful and did an excellent job of explaining pricing and all the testing. The doctor was so friendly and helpful- answered all my questions and ensured I was informed and okay with everything. I never felt rushed or forced into anything like I have at other eye care places. Will definitely be going back!

I and my daughter are customers for the past four years. I scheduled my appointments online-very convenient.All of staff- Doctors, Brittany, Trish, and red-headed gentleman (sorry for the missed name) are so friendly/professional. Service is as expected- good! Walked out yesterday with four pairs of glasses and 2 boxes of contacts ordered. Plenty of selection. End to end service exam is approx 1 hour (w/apptmt).I have had no issues; that’s why I continue to go! I recommend! Thanks, all!

Patrica helped me and rescheduled a appointed because the doctor was in with someone longer then expected, and I needed to leave for work. It was very non stressful. She assured me that it was no problem. She held the frames back for me so I wouldn’t have to look all over again. Great experience. I will continue my eyecare there due to those two giving such great service. It’s difficult to find good service like this. I was so happy.
I feel like they have taken this virus stuff to far. Mask are a Recommendation not required, but yet, I was forced to wear a mask, or they wouldnt see me. This is ridiculous because first of all, they didnt even get my lenses correct, so I had to visit again, and the mask thing, I feel violates my civil rights as a US citizen.

I visited the visionworks in Evansville Indiana. The eye doctor there I would give a five star rating. Sara was awesome!!!My problem with Visionworks, would be their customer service! I spent 45 minutes on the phone with visionworks and my problem still was not solved. All they needed to do was a few clicks on the computer to fix my problem. Instead of doing that they left me on the phone waiting. I had to call my insurance company and wait on the phone for 30 minutes to have them fix the problem. Did I mention that visionworks never came back on the phone, I hung up after the insurance picked up on the other phone!!!!!!!

The staff at the Evansville Indiana location was absolutely wonderful today. I was looking for a pair of glasses for my 12 year old daughter and the staff did everything in power to help us find a pair that she liked and that our insurance would pay for. I called the store two times before I went there and both times they answered my questions and did it in a polite manner. When we arrived the staff was knowledgably and very friendly. They took the time to assure that my daughter got the pair of glasses that not only that she liked but also a pair that would fit her face correctly. They even went through drawers to find the perfect pair. The wait for the lenses to be fitted into the frames was very quick. They explained my insurance policies and their polices about the glasses in detail. I am a very satisfied customer and would recommend them to others!
If you like coming back 7or 8 times to get different pricing Every time this is your place the doctor that did my first exam was to worried about his IPhone 8 getting there on time for Christmas during my eye exam didnt event get my script right then come back get a different doctor got the script right then my glasses were wrong again get with the manager finally get the right glasses I thought asked about non glare lenses and transitioning lenses was told 180.00 dollars on top of the 90.00 I played... come back to order them and was told its 230.00 not 180.00 so, I am done ... what a rip off ... cant get your scripts right then always a different price .. even when the manager tells you a price it changes if I could give a negative stars I would !!!

I tried to give this place a second chance, but they ruined it. Ive bought glasses many places before and never had so many problems. The first set I bought they could never adjust to fix my face right after several visits, and never told me they might be too small for my face. I finally had to go to a professional eye doctor and he made them right first try. This pair snapped in half while cleaning them, and didnt even last me two years. When I went to buy a second set, I told them it was crucial to have them quickly because I cant wear contacts long without getting headaches. I was told they would be in within a week. I called after a week and a day and they said it would be two and a half weeks, didnt believe I was actually told that. Wont be buying from here again.
I work here and hold a management position. Ive been with the company going on 6 yrs. We go above and beyond to make the customer (patient) happy and satisfied. One low rating does not make it so. We have skilled people who waiting for you and will fit you with glasses that look like they were made for you.
They might be somewhat polite, but these fools screwed up my prescription so badly that, when I put on my new glasses, it looked like I was looking through two sets of glasses. Then they tried to tell me that I have to get used to the new lenses.After several times of telling them that the glasses were dead wrong, they put them in their machine where they compared them against my current glasses and said they screwed up the plus and minus or whatever. They then told me theyd have to reorder the glasses, and that was it. No apology or restitution for my wasted time and gas money was offered.I then asked for a full refund, which I received.I would have chosen to wait another week for my glasses, but if they can screw up my prescription that badly, they could easily screw up another prescription, majorly or otherwise, then tell me I have to get used to the new lenses for 30 days, after which time I would be stuck with the incorrect prescription.I cant trust glasses after Ive been given an incorrect prescription. Any possible typo or microscopic measurement that is wrong could affect me for years with a new pair of glasses, unless I really want to shell out $250 every year for new lenses. They could have at least apologized.Go somewhere else.
I was hesitant to go through visionworks after reading reviews but they were the only place I was able to schedule an exam with for a Saturday morning. I found the entire experience to be more than satisfactory. The staff is helpful and professional, and my prescription feels correct.
This store has the worst customer service ever. The first set of frames I got from them broke two weeks later, no big deal it happens. Two months later my son got glasses here. His glasses broke in the exact same spot as mine. Their frames are cheap, you can buy the same ones on amazon for $2 and they charge 70! I took a pair of frames I purchased on my own, in on January 30 to get lenses made for them. I was told it would be 6-10 days. After 10 days I called and was told that the wrong lenses came in and that the lab manager spoke to me about it already? When I told the woman I was speaking to that I never heard from anyone she called me a liar because the lab manager left a note saying we spoke.. WOW! Fast Forward 7 days later, I was told my lenses still are not in, and this is after calling 5 times, and being told the manager would call me back (Surprise! He never did!!) Today I was told that they did not know when my lenses would be in and offered a $5 dollar cleaning kit for my inconvenience!! I wouldnt mind waiting I have some glasses I can wear in the mean time, but being ignored on several occasions and even called a liar, when I am a repeat customer and I am trying to send my money with your store. I had, had enough.. Good customer service can fix even the worst situations, In the future, treat your customers with some respect!.

Appointment was at 1:45 and still sitting here at 5pm. They were short one person but kept taking walk ins ahead of clients that had appointments. The General Manager didn’t seem to care when I brought my concerns to her attention.
They were a great, from the time I set my appointment to very prompt and courteous service from the doctor and his staff. Really, very friendly. I couldnt ask for more and I strongly recommend Visionworks.
Much like the other customers, my sons and I went here due to a change in insurance. My youngest son had to get glasses, I needed contacts and glasses, and my oldest was getting checked. My youngest son had a different prescription in each eye. They gave me an exam for contacts, saying it wouldnt work for eyeglasses. I would have to pay $79 for a separate exam to get glasses. They said I owed $150.00 for a pair of trial contacts and my free contacts exam.They said my youngest sons glasses would be ready in 2 days to be safe. When we picked them up, my son said something wasnt right, he could see better without the glasses, and did better on the eye chart. They said, oh it is just an adjustment. After 2 days of headaches, they could get him in at 9 am Saturday. The lenses were in the wrong eyes! So they didnt have the lesser lenses tried selling the upgraded anti-scratch lens. We had to wait til Tuesday to.get cheaper lenses installed. Then they put upgraded lenses in glasses anyway, when we picked up Tuesday... Tried charging us. Eventually said we could have them for our trouble. Welll... Trouble is right, as they put the expensive lenses in the WRONG EYES AGAIN! After my sons headaches and, my VisionFailure, we will NEVER return here, even if I have to pay full price somewhere else.Another eye doctor used my exam from here to make.my glasses... Paid for by insurance WITH Six months of contacts! And my son got TWO PAIRS of glasses.. This was only 65 days AFTER the fiasco at the above mentioned store! Please research before coming here!
I went to the Eastland Mall location to have my eyes examined and never again. The lady who did the exam didnt smile once. She asked me if I had seen a retina specialist and I said yes 2 or 3 years ago and she asked me what they said and I couldnt remember to save my life. She?asked me?a total of 3 times during the exam. .you cant remember what they said? She made me feel like a fool and said my new prescription wasnt significantly better than what I had. I did not buy glasses from them. I will be going elsewhere. Maybe?fibd?someone who doesnt act so grumpy.
Frames were supposed to be back ordered when I left the store on 9/26/2016 and the sales person forgot to order them. When the lenses were ready on 10/6/2016 I was told I could pick up the lenses but i bought everything not only the lenses. After that I was told that Id be contacted to let me know that my glasses were ready. I believe that on that same day (10/6/2016) the frames were brought from another local store and arrived on the next day. Nobody called me back, but i called the store on 10/7/16 and asked if my glasses were ready and I was told they were. When I got to the store the lenses were separate with the frames in an envelope but the lenses were not even cut yet. I waited in the store to have my glasses ready. When it was finally ready I realized that the frames that were brought from the other store were the wrong ones (not the same model that I bought). To make it even worse the manager asked me to keep using the wrong frames until they have the right ones and switched them over, not even caring about if I like those wrong ones or not, and on this case they were completely different and not even close to the style that Im used to. Overall very dissatisfied with customer service. The only compensation offered was a cleaning kit.

I went in for an eye appointment during the winter. I work the night shift, so I scheduled it for when I would wake up. I went to the eye appointment, only to find out they were closed early for weather. It had snowed a couple days before, but was very clear at this time, with a little left over. A phone call would have been nice. Especially since I woke up early to be there. You cant shut down just because you believe weathermen, who are liars.

I have been to this store twice and have had issues both times. The first time the dr who initially did my sons exam told us he had a tumor and all sorts of eye problems and referred us to a specialist and was talking bifocals and surgery. We got a second opinion and learned none of this was true and he just needed a regular set of glasses, nothing major. Second time we went in and were told my other sons glasses were 3 clicks too strong. Ironically the ones he was currently wearing were from there a year before. When I called to see about how they could be so different and file a complaint since the first dr there screwed up so much I was told I misunderstood the second dr and I was ill informed and that 3 clicks was never said. I had 2 people in the room with me as well as had sent out a message with what was being said to someone during the exam. Pretty sure I didnt misunderstand. The doctors arent reliable, the staff is rude, and the lenses in the glasses we did get have already popped out due to being the wrong size for the frames. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.
