Fruits are great. Great place to come to pick up what you need. The young woman in the flower department is wonderful at making a beautiful flower arrangement. I always go to her rather than a florist. Prices are no higher than I would expect in a small corner market. Now that they are expanding the store I expect it will be even better.

I only came here for fruit and vegetables, because a family member told me they have fresh produce here at a good price. Although the fruit was generally very fresh, the vegetables looked terrible and were obviously not fresh. I would not buy them: cucumbers, green beans, bell peppers, lettuce, tomatoes (yeah, I know that we may now consider a tomato a fruit). Looks like Ill continue to spend more over at Plum Market as they ALWAYS have very fresh produce.

Just used Johnny Pomodoro for catering a large party of more than 100 people. The food was absolutely delicious and we had more than enough. We received lots of compliments from our guests. The staff was very friendly to work with as well. Will definitely use them again!

One star is too many. Store likes to close before their posted closing time, someone with pink hair rudely and without explanation, blocks the door, if you need that last minute item.. Everything is overpriced anyway, just go one mile west to Orchard Lake road for far better store options.

Nice place.... Produce is fresh and the salad bar has a good mixture of salads and other entrees that are pretty good, like the chicken ceaser pasta. Coastlaw is reasonably priced and is made on site and its really good. Some of the other salads are very tasty as well. Nice people, very friendly and that is a plus!!!!

This not good rating is only because of a extremely poor manager. I have had several unsettling encounters with this man. Do not know his name, but he is. older, dark hair with an attitude. Not to be confused with the slender manager who walks fast.I have shopped this location for 90% of my groceries for the last 15 years, and I will not go back as long as the bad attitude manager Is still there.All the other employees that I have interfaced with at this location were great, 5 stars.

Meat has gone up 25 percent. I used to buy whole beef tenderloin for $8.99 per pound and now it is $12.99 per pound. I will not be paying those prices.

Good prices. Produce and meat are good, bakery fresh donuts, and bagels. Floral department is very nice, always friendly.

I’ve been buying fresh squeezed orange juice from JP for years until, for unknown reasons, they stopped selling it. Recently they have been telling me that the reason they don’t have it is because they can’t get any good juice oranges. In the broad scheme of things not a big deal but in light of the fact that Western Market in Ferndale and Westborn Market in Royal Oak don’t seem to have any problem getting oranges, it makes you wonder. I don’t like being lied to. Stay away.

This place has been steadily going down for years now. Ive been a regular shopper here for 20+ years, but have finally decided enough disappointment. Now, I take 10 extra minutes to drive to Ninos on Telegraph instead. Mainly, customer service is terrible and the meat counter cant be trusted. Too bad, this used to be a fabulous place for produce, meat, and hard to find items.

Love the meat counter for fresh meats! Also love going through their isles and finding goodies/snacks not sold in other stores.

Fruit and veggies look very fresh. Good selection on their deli department and meat department and the employees are very friendly. Great customer service! We will definitely coming back. We liked it so much we got their rewards card. 😀 it is just a little smaller and the aisles are a little tighter but that’s ok.

Absolutely the finest prepared foods period. The Deli Nosh sandwiches are to die for!!! The meat and seafood department are a dinner favorite! Cant over look the deli department and the awesome array of cheeses offered. And I can get an excellent bottle of wine and receive incredible customer service to top off the most amazing shopping experience!!! Thank you, Johnny Pomodoros, you are simply the best!!! :)

I am in Love with this store! My favorite neighborhood market! I’d much rather shop here then at larger markets. Everything Is always fresh. I love the homemade soup bar and the salad bar is just as good/ better then Whole Foods and half the price. Everyone that works there is always friendly and helpful too. #5stars

I always had a good experinece with Jonny Pomodoros but today I was shoked with extremly rude service at the store. Looks like the cashier ( Any) had a bad day but for no mean it should be an exuse to be rude, rolling eyes, have an attitude with the customer. When my card was charged we both realized that it was expired and I nicely appologized and asked for 2 minutes to go to my car and get cash. That where she rolled her eyes and said nothing, which made me feel very guilty and uncomfortable . When I returned, she started to yell on me to remove my stuff from the counter bcs its in her way. Very rude and unprofessional. Very rare to see at Johny Pomodoros, bad exception I guess...

They stock Martys cookies, Star Bakery products, and New York bagels. Only downside was that there is no public restroom, which should be a given now-a-days. I saw mackinac island fudge there too, but Im not sure if it was genuine because I didnt try it. Overall it was a pretty nice market.

What a joke. I ordered online a week ago & was told my delivery would arrive April 1st. A driver showed up today with 2 items & was wasn’t accurate. I called the manager and he yelled at me. I specifically requested their policy. He said there wasn’t one. They charged my credit card a week ago and charged me $10 delivery fee for one item. He didn’t even offer to refund me. I’m going to report this to the attorney generals office. Scamming the public during this time is shameful!

I almost never write reviews on grocery stores but this time with pleasure I will. I needed some calla lily for a bouquet, so I decided to try and ask the flowers there if they can order some. I do like their flower selection, my bf always gets me the best flowers from there, plus I really like how they prepare the bouquets, so, obviously, they were my first choice. Luckily for me it was easy peasy, just ordered and got picked them up in time with no extra charges. What really surprised me was that they brought me Callas in a huge box, so I wouldnt have any troubles transporting them, that was really super though through. Needless to say the store itself is very cute with welcoming staff, fresh product with a great variety. Love it and thank you, guys, for help! Appreciate it a lot! ❤️

This store is so much better than Kroger. The produce is fresh. There are so many different items from which to select. They carry the good stuff that the big box stores will not. They have those hard to find weird things called for in the best recipes. Go. Explore. Expand your horizons.

Great place for quick shopping for a dinner. Missing some elements like a more expansive meat counter but the selection still good, and could be more expansive in terms of all beverage (adult and not) and snacks. This store is a small mix of Whole Foods and your average Kroger.

Very nice small family owned grocery store. The deli and salad bar is great also, with a wonderful selection. I gave the review 4 stars because they dont have a restroom. I think thats a bit ridiculous considering if you are shopping there, you could be in there quite a while.

Unusual and entertaining store, weighted toward Italian food. Every sort of pasta, mushrooms, bulk flavored coffee, specialty cheeses, etc. I even found some quince, which I have never seen elsewhere. They also carry a few kitchen tools such as a pasta timer, pancake flipper, whisks etc. Prices are reasonable given how unusual items are. Produce seems to be high quality.

Just a fun place to shop. The variety of produce and dry goods is impressive. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Chain store s may be ok for everyday necessities but I dont think I would consider a visit to one of the fun.

The specialty market is the best they have everything that you cant find another locations and even stuff that you didnt know that you were looking for they have all some wine selection and the staff is magnificent! Not quite like the staff at trader Joes but theyre really good!

Johnny pomodoros may not have a large selection but what they do have they have very high quality and reasonably priced foods and vegetables. The staff is friendly the store is very clean and the staff are very helpful also.the main problem I have with the store is they do not have a very large selection. And some of the areas for instance the salad bar can be a bit overpriced, but other than that I have a very enjoyable time shopping at their,

Excellent service. Very helpful clerks and cashiers. If you want something and do not see it Dan will tey to get it for you. Love the meat department. I think the meat and deli prices are very reasonable. I bought long stemmed roses over a week ago and they are still gorgeous.

Excellent little market. A big variety of meat Seafood. I also picked up a Madeira wine that I couldnt find any place. And Im talkin Madeira wine from Madera. Not California or somewhere where they think they make Madeira wine. All in all is a very nice Market the food is nice and fresh a big variety of vegetables. Stop in and look around if you ever get a chance

Excellent quality fresh produce and wine. Honey mustard at deli is delicious. Clam chowder could be chunkier. Chashier, Paris, was kind and concise.

The store is clean and products nicely arranged in the shelves. The also sock hard to find products. The location is amazing. Highly recommended!!!

This store helped me get my favorite deli item shipped to me in Florida. It’s an item JP has but I can’t get in FL. A great and friendly well stocked and laid out grocery store. The selection is terrific, the veggies, meats, fish and cheeses are beyond great and are of very high quality. The staff is friendly and charming. The owners and management are great and they work hard to please.

Good selection of imported dry goods, produce, meats and cheeses - including some items you wont find elsewhere. Sausages are store-made, and the staff is helpful and knowledgeable. They also have a large section of ready-to-go food, all made in-store, if you need to grab dinner on the way home.

Their deli counter makes a sandwich the size of your face for $8. Cant beat it! Even better corned beef than star deli.

They have some of the best chicken salad in town. Random, I know, but also true. Everyone that works there is super friendly and they have some great produce. Also have some really nice niche items in stock, but expect to pay higher prices for most everything here.

I used to work here and all I can say is the owner and his fat wife are really not good people neither are the managers they hire, I really feel bad for people that work there. Really expensive food, horrible owner horrible managers family used to call me once in a great while and they wouldnt let me know til shift was over

Very niche store. High prices compared to most surrounding markets. Still a lot of good selection and unique items. Wouldnt shop here regularly but its ok for occasional items.
