I would tell you to avoid this place altogether and go to a better Sephora, yet if you find yourself having to come here, research what you want before coming, get it, and leave. The sales associates here are rude and wont bother to help you. Instead, theyll sit at the mirror and work on their makeup and pretend you dont exist. However, when you do ask for help, theyll act as if youre bothering them and offer less than helpful advice on products. Also, no one is ever at the register when youre ready to leave, so be expected to find someone actually willing to do their job.

Not sure why there are bad reviews for this Sephora. I had a good experience. I walked in and was immediately helped. I guess its who is working at the time. The lady that helped me was very nice and helped me pick the right stuff. Im sorry not everyone had a good experience.

If I could give no stars I would. Literally spent 20 minutes looking around while the attendants sat at the beauty shop chairs, talking to each other and on their phone. My sister recommended sephora if Im looking to buy something new... which is why I came here but maybe this is not an official store. I was literally the only person in the sephora section... but no one asked if I needed help.

My parents live in this area so whenever I visit them I try to stop pass this Sephora for my re-ups. When they first opened it was so nice!! Staff was plentiful and super attentive and the shelves were often fully stocked with access to ample test shades. However, there has since been a noticeable change. I use several product lines sold at Sephora and just my luck that they almost NEVER have what I need in stock at this location. I can go to the Sephora located at the Woodmore Town Center and if I am looking for 5 products (on a good day) I can find 4 out of 5 of the products in stock if not all 5. At Forestville I can literally be looking for 5 things and walk out with 1 (if Im lucky). Sephora recently opened a location on Capitol Hill and I was shocked to see that some of the product lines that I often shop at Forestville have EVEN MORE colors than I imagined. Here it appeared to me that BOTH the Forestville and Woodmore Sephora locations are only given a small shade range for some of their product lines. Not to mention that there have been many busy days where there has only been 2 associates on hand. One working the sales counter and one on the floor providing customer service and makeovers. This often leaves customers such as myself waiting for up to 15 minutes (or more) for a sales-persons assistance, only to find that after ALL that waiting the product being requested is out of stock. The displays are scattered and matted with makeup and there is often missing slots where a sample/test shade should be. I think this location could be great again with more staff on hand, regular re-stocks (especially of popular items), and a little more organization. I will say that the sales/beauty consultants I have encountered here have NEVER been rude and once they have a moment to breath they are super friendly and helpful. However, I think they are overworked and juggling too many balls at once. If as much time, effort, and attention is dedicated to this location as it appears the new Capitol Hill location has acquired, I think it has a fighting chance to be great again. I LOVE Sephora and its many product lines but often having to drive to multiple locations to find what I need is ridiculous especially considering there is new competition with the ULTA chain popping up everywhere locally (who also sells a lot of the same brands). Sephora needs to pay attention to ALL of its locations if its going to withstand all the new makeup/beauty competition in the DC/MD/VA metro area.(Most recent visit to this location was approximately a week prior to this posting).

The workers are so rude! I walked into the store and no one asked me if i needed help or even greeted me. As i walked around, one worker started to follow me around the store as if i were stealing every time i turned around she would look at me like she was disgusted. i will never go back to this store.
