My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Jake this morning at Wiseman’s. Our washer died this week so, as with anytime you have an appliance go out, the need is immediate. Jake showed us all the options, new and used, low end and high end. Then, he just left us to look around. I so VERY much appreciated the informative and non-pushy approach. He was great at giving us all the information about al the products and then let us check them all out and discuss what we wanted. He also didn’t try to push us into a dryer or set that we didn’t needed. We got a one year warranty now the new washer and he let us know how much extra warranties would be on it IF we wanted it later down the road…no pressure. This was a wonderful, fast, fair, no pressure, experience. My husband and I absolutely recommend supporting Jake and his boys here at Wisemans.

I purchased a used refrigerator on 8/26/21. I was told their delivery was 3 weeks out so I decided to pickup myself. The salesman told me that if I pickup that they would not send service to my home and that I would have to bring the unit back in to the store for the 30 day warranty to be valid. I told him that would not be an option as I only had help with the pickup but I asked if something was wrong, could I bring the part in to have it replaced as a part of the warranty. He confirmed and told me that all of the used equipment is inspected when it comes in and anything faulty was replaced prior to being put on the sales floor. He stated that the unit was not cleaned because they cannot legally clean them in-house with chemicals. I trusted what he said and completed the purchase. I picked up that same afternoon and had it running by 8/27/21. On 8/28/21 I noticed it was making ice but not dispensing. I figured out it was the ice auger motor and took it out to take to Wismans on 8/30/21. I called to confirm they had a replacement and was told that THEY WOULD NOT warranty the part and that I had to bring the unit back in to the store for them to check, but they would not replace a part that cost a lot of money when I brought the unit in or not. I tried explaining the bad part to a sales member and then a sales manager and they both said to bring it in the store and they would look at it in 3-4 days but likely would only credit what I spent on the refrigerator towards something else. Zack, the sales manager stated that the salesman I dealt with mis-spoke and did not understand the service/parts aspect so basically I am out of luck. Do NOT buy from this company. They lie to make a sale and do not honor their 30 day warranty on purchases, ESPECIALLY if you pick them up yourself.

3 weeks ago, my wife & I went appliance shopping. We needed a new stove & refrigerator. We had researched & reviewed brands & models, so we had a good idea of what we wanted. Prior to going into the store, I called and spoke with Gary. He was very friendly & answered all my questions. When we arrived, we were greeted immediately & helped by Dave. He showed us what we were interested in and answered the questions we had. We found exactly what we wanted & needed ! Their prices are below MSRP! By quite alot ! The following week, our appliances were delivered & installed by 2 very nice fellows, who did a fantastic job ! They hauled away the old appliances too ! We are absolutely thrilled with our new Frigidaire Gas stove & Refrigerator!! The service & staff at Wismans are Terrific ! We will only be making purchases in the future, with them ! It is great, knowing that they will service all our appliances as well! We both highly recommend Wismans !

My wife and I had a great experience shopping at Wismans this weekend. We were treated very professionally and given good, thorough answers to all of our questions. I bought a GE washing machine in Home Depot 4 months ago, I pay $ 1,200. machine makes a lot of noise when is spinning and when the laundry is washed later it smells bad . I contacted GE online and made an appointment for April 2 2021. After a couple of hours the lady called me from this company, who didnt even want to give me a name and said they couldnt help me because the machine is a new model and they dont work on new models. I asked her how you have a contract with GE and you are not working on new models she hung up phone on me. I called her again to ask her why she hung up? She said we cant help you and hung up again. I cant believe this behavior of workers with their costumes. 👎👎👎👎👎
While we havent had anything repaired by Wisemans, based on our experience, I wouldnt recommend using them. We were referred to Wisemans Appliance by GE to have a defective range hood repaired. When I called to confirm the day and time that GE had scheduled with them I was told (sort of rudely) that they had no record of me. A few minutes later they called back to say they found the request but had rejected it because they dont repair range hoods and couldnt refer me to anyone who did. This is frustrating because a.) GE has them listed in their system as an authorized repair place but they apparently (from what I read in other reviews) arent able to actually repair any of their products and b.) they rejected the request without bothering to contact us to let us know. Pretty frustrating.

My wife and I went here to look for a used washing machine. We had set a limit to how much we would spend... we left Wismans with A RANDOM NEW washer. Amana washer... matches our dryer. Thank you Wismans.
Wow! All I can say is WOW! This place was HORRENDOUS! The technician came out from Wismans to look at my Samsung washer that was giving a code of LE in the middle of a cycle and shut off. The technician continued to run an empty cycle to see what the machine was doing- while the tub filled with water the tech looked in his iPhone4 to find the code it was throwing. After the tub had filled halfway the tech knew what was wrong with it- he told me the sensor that tells the machine to stop filling water was bad and it needed a new sensor and hose. Tech said he didn’t know how long the parts would take to come in due to covid, I told him that was fine and that I’d just continue to manually put the machine on rinse and spin to finish a cycle and would wait for parts. Tech said that was fine and left- next day myMachine overflowed and leaked bleach water into my finished basement. I called the store to let them know what happened- they called their insurance agent for some reason and the insurance agent called me to see what had happened- I told her and immediately her response was “we’re not liable for damages” I didn’t call about that I called to let them know to tell their techs to inform customers NOT to use the product if there’s a chance of further damage- however because I called them out on a mistake their insurance labeled us a liability and now refuse to work on our machine. What in the world?!?!?! Why? No answer other than “we reserve the right”, which is nothing more than a verbally “legal” form of DISCRIMINATION! Anyone can reserve the right- we’re all FREE to “reserve the right”- you can’t “reserve the right” to intentionally discriminate against people and this is what’s going on with this company. This was set up by pivotal home solutions so we didn’t get the option of choosing what company came to service, but I can guarantee we will NEVER use this place again! So much stress over a simple fix! Incredible! Scary to know this company won’t stand by their work! Simply HORRENDOUS!!!!
This store saved my life cause I needed a stove really bad and I got one in 3 days
Wife called in for a non working ice maker in our fridge. Rep on their end was not real friendly and condesending. Was admit that she give them the right model number including revision #. She went to fridge and read it off completely.Service rep comes out, diagnoses the problem and says they have the wrong part because we did not supply the revision number that my wife read to them completely. So $99 service, need to order a part since they had the wrong one with them, and there would be another labor charge once the correct part came in.Part comes in, fixed with additional labor charge, and ice maker is fixed on Friday. Sunday night we come home after a weekend away, and the ice maker is overflowing ice into the freezer. Upon inspection find the ice shut off arm broken and laying under the ice tray. Was not broken prior to the tech visit.No way am I calling them back to fix this after both the service department and rep were pretty rude about the model and revision numbers.Never again.
Tried to shop at their store the other day. Due to medical reasons I cant wear a mask but also should not have to divulge what is a private matter because their sales people want to be extremely rude and tell me I cant shop there without a mask! I left and spent my money on a large dollar item elsewhere. I wont ever go to this business again. Extremely rude and disrespectful sales people!

Poor service experience so far. Guy working the phone when I called should not be since he doesnt seem to know how to handle customers. Technician that stopped was good, straight to the point, listened to the troubleshooting I had done so far and arrived at the same diagnosis I had, lack of refrigerant in the fridge. BUT, after telling me the pick-up/delivery guys would be in touch to bring it in to the shop for service and repair, I havent heard anything in a week. Who runs a business like this? Well see how the rest of the experience goes...I feel like I need to elaborate on the clueless employee on my service call mentioned above. Whirlpool was/is covering the cost of a service and repair on my refrigerator and set up a visit from Wismans that I then needed to call and confirm. When calling to confirm my scheduled time and describing my issue, whoever in the service department working the phone (who admitted to not being a technician) needlessly worked really, really hard to try to set my expectations low of their servicing by dismissing my troubleshooting and repeatedly stating/claiming that my refrigerator (that is in my attached garage) may not be able to diagnosed correctly because it is outside the appliance operating range (55-110 F) - my garage is not outside that range (based on empirical data from a garage thermometer). Even after telling the guy it was not outside the range and it still didnt work when it was 70 outside, he still tried to explain it to me which was innocent and comical/cute at first, but quickly became annoying when he continued to persist (background: Im an engineer and Ive worked on several complicated space and aerospace systems over the years, I understand temperature operating ranges and the potential effects of temperature on proper operation). By the end of it he was practically arguing with me about the temperature range of my garage and operation of my refrigerator, neither of which he had any insight, nor any expertise (recall he was not a technician). He dug a hole and just kept on digging, but the real kicker here is it he didnt need to do any of this because regardless of whether they could or couldnt diagnose the issue, they were getting paid. He should have just said ok, well be out on day/time, see you then.
They were quick and got my washer back up and running in less than a week, and that includes ordering parts! Im appreciative of their quick work!

This is the place to go for appliances in Fort Wayne. We have bought several appliances over the years and their prices, warranties and sales team cant be best by a big box store. Even though a sticker may seem lower at other stores, by the time they add on extras they arent lower, and God help you if you need repairs with them. Wismans services their own appliances. I definitely recommend them.
We’ve used them twice in the last year for dryer and refrigerator repair. Great service and saved us time and money by not replacing an appliance. Realistically spending 100 - 500 for a repair often is cheaper then buying a new appliance now days. The cost of a replacement fridge like the one we have is over 2G. We spent 250 for repair and no hassle of removal, replacement Ext.. Their repairmen know thier stuff! Invaluable now days!

My fridge broke down in the middle of the night and all my food went bad. I was able to get a great used fridge from Wismans with a 30 day guarantee, delivery and install, and they are taking my dead fridge away. All for dirt cheap. The sales people are friendly, helpful, and no pressure. I was allowed to take my time making my decisions, and every one of my questions were given honest answers. Super happy. Would recommend to family and friends with confidence.
I bought a washer and dryer set that was used. Within 24 hours, the washer stopped working. They had to come out and take it back to their shop, fix the issue, and return it. That took them a whole week to do, where I was out of the appliances. They didnt offer any discount or refund either. They said the used appliances were checked over, but clearly they werent checked well. I wouldnt buy through them.

Service guy was fantastic. Knew his stuff. Very friendly. However, on his first visit he found out we needed a part. Said it would be 3 weeks max. I called GE after 4 weeks. (I had forgotten it was Wismans that came out) GE person called Wismans, was told part had just come in that day and they would call me that day to schedule. No call that day (Thursday), Friday or Saturday. I left message late Saturday night. Someone called me Monday morning. Said service guy would be in New Haven, Grabill, Leo area on Tuesday. (Were in Leo) But, I had to be open the whole day. I asked for at least AM or PM. He said he couldnt narrow it down like that in Leo. Really? Whatever. Again, the service guy was great and now our stove works.
Tried to have them look at my washer, didnt call before showing up and I missed them.... Up since 8 since their time frame is from 8am until 3pm.... Not satisfied.

We purchased a Speed Queen washer from Wisman’s with a 10 year ‘covers everything’ warranty. Mike (our salesman) was very helpful. He explained the pros and cons of the washers. I explained that I was done with front loaders (2 in the last 7 years) and I wanted something that would last. Speed Queens are costly up front ($900) but a 10 year warranty and knowing we have a quality washer was worth it to us.This is the second appliance we have purchased from Wisman’s (scratch and dent refrigerator) and we always have great salesmen and service.We will continue to use Wisman’s and we encourage others to go in and talk to Mike!
Washer, dryer and refrigerator. Wismans is our go to appliance shop. Find Gary ask him about the ice monkeys.Another house, another refrigerator and Speed Queen set and were still fans of Wismans Appliances. The fridge arrived with a small ding in the door and the replacement was ordered before I could complain. In a week the door was replaced.
My experience was excellent! Found a dryer in perfect condition. And they came out to test the dryer and do repairs if necessary when my dryer wasnt heating up. Come to find out it was the vent in our wall in our apartment. We hooked up a lint catcher on the end so we wouldnt risk damage to the dryer. And that baby dries towels in one cycle. Because of the great service we had and the fact we were informed of what to do to keep our dryer safe we walked away with a smoking deal. I will be definitely returning to them when we need something else! And I will refer them no problem.

True story... bought a fridge in the lower end used section, cleaned it up, plugged her in and no go.... not getting cold. Naturally, I was a little bit unsettled by this after all the loading and removing of the doors to get the stupid thing in my house.... I took it back a day later, told them what happened and these guys gave me great customer service and took care of me.

Wow, Im so impressed with Wisemans service department! My freezer was running ALL THE TIME and collecting frost at the top of the door. The serviceman determined the problem, contacted the extended warranty people and came back and fixed the problem in only a few days! Now the freezer is running only half the time it had been and NO frost! Love you guys!!!!Sue

I called Wismans based upon a referral from my trusted plumber. Later that same day, I read the Google reviews on this site and I must admit they made me very nervous... I am happy now to report that Serviceman Rich arrived on the appointed day and very efficiently repaired both my washer and my gas oven. He was knowledgeable about my appliances in that he was able to quickly diagnose both problems. He was also personable and very respectful and was in and out of my home in a short time as the needed parts were in his truck. My 4 yr. old Elite dishwasher was leaking, so I called Wismans and they arranged to have a serviceman come out the next day. I was given a window of 8-12 Noon, and Al came at 12:30p as he was delayed at another repair job. He looked my hardly used dishwasher over, declared it was the cleanest dishwasher hed seen in a while and that the rubber door seal was like new, but could not find a source for the water leak. He charged me a trip charge of $89 which I paid and he told me if I noticed any more leaking that I had 30 days to call them for a free return trip out by Wismans. Three days later when I turned my dishwasher on, it was leaking in the same area, so I phoned and the serviceman Al stated that all he could do was replace the rubber door seal & I would have to pay for that part and the labor charge to install it. I questioned why he would replace the rubber seal on the door when he had told me 3 days earlier that it was in perfect condition. I also told him that the water seemed to be located under the metal ribbed hoses in the middle of the area under the dishwasher. I asked him to determine where the water was actually coming from before he replaced anything. Al the repairman agreed to come out today, but called this morning and stated that I needed to find another appliance service store as he would not come & he would refund the $89.00 I paid earlier this week. I am dissatisfied as I feel he was going to install & charge me for something I did not need nor was he agreeable to finding out the real cause of the water leakage.

Our dishwasher went out a leaked all over our floor forcing us to purchase new appliances. Steve was easy to work with and made us an amazing deal on replacing all of our appliances. They even offered to give us a dishwasher to borrow until our new one came in.
We had Wismans out this week to fix our dryer. They were here ten minutes to determine that it was not our dryer. In fact, it was an electrical issue. We got charged a $90 fee for something they could not handle ( I had explained the issue over the phone prior to the visit). Furthermore, when I called their customer service line to speak with a manager, Chrissy, she was screaming at me through the phone stating that it was their policy to charge folks no matter what. I am very disappointed by the etiquette of a manager let alone the bill we received for nothing. This is why many companies offer a free diagnosis before charging the customer.
Called for service to my 10 year old Frigidaire, and Mitch was here the next day. Just some frozen/clogged lines causing drainage issues. For $100ish my problem was solved. He was very knowledgeable and fast. A big help. Ill use the company again and b/c of him will also go to Wismans to purchase appliances in the future before going to a big box store.

I bought new and used through them, they back up their purchases and stand behind them that they work. I bought a scratch and dent dryer that the motherboard would of course not work for me, eventually they had to replace it. I have bought several different items and used their repairman to fix my stuff. They go out of their way to make sure you are treated fairly. The prices are reasonable and every delivery driver has been knowlegible and kind. I have bought 6 items plus in the last 4 years. I keep coming back because they make me feel like I was a person not a job.
Ive purchased two appliances from this business over the 10 years Ive lived in Fort Wayne. Each time, I lucked out with finding what I was looking for (a compact washer and a stacked washer/dryer unit) because they had it in stock. Pretty simple in and out and appropriate prices.
Had them out to look at out dishwasher that was under its one year warranty, the guy said Im using the wrong soap and to run the hot water in the sink before running the dishwasher. Not quite two months and the dishwasher completely stops working so I called them to let them know whats going on, they inform me that the dishwasher is out of warranty and Ill have to pay a service charger for them to show up. I said for what you never fixed it the first time! The guy was rude and had an attitude! I took my business elsewhere!
One would think if youre paying $200 to have an air conditioner installed that you purchased from Wisman Appliance in the City of Fort Wayne, Indiana, that they would install that appliance with all safety of anything entering your home from the outside. In other words...its an appliance organization and people are being paid to install their products. Why in the HELL wouldnt they install it properly ensuring that no gaps, small holes or anything is left for critters to crawl in your house? Duh! Do not hire anyone from this store as they cause MICE to enter your home after youve paid dearly for professional help.
E had an issue with our dryer. We had purchased the dryer from Wismans several years previously and it was out of warranty. The tech was extremely unprofessional in appearance and his conduct while at our site. He discussed his childcare issues and seemed in a huge hurry. He did not properly diagnose the dryer issue and told us if we still were having problems, he wouldnt charge us to come back. He came back 3 days later for the same problem. He charged us a second trip charge. When I called to ask about the second trip charge, the women on the phone was impatient and very rude. I have since had to call another repair place to actually fix the dryer and its working fine now. I would not recommend this place as their customer service is terrible.

Deneen was a pleasure to speak to and answered all my questions. $90 to come out and diagnose may seem like a lot but it’s cheaper than replacing random parts you think might be broken.
The sales staff was awesome from start to finish. The service tech fixed my dishwasher in 10 mins after two other service companies couldnt figure it out. Overall great experience from the start of the sale to way after.

Excellent service repair on my non working refrigerator within 90 minutes from the time I called them. The service technician Mr. R. quickly diagnosed the problem with the refrigerator, and put in a new electrical module in about 7 minutes with a part from his truck. Very reasonable cost for this fix because we all know that unfrozen food must be thrown away. Thanks again for Wismans Appliance Repair!

My refrigerator died 3 days before I was moving out of my house and it was staying with the new homeowners. I called and they scheduled the appointment for the following day. The service person arrived while I was gone and only another contractor was in the house, and when he could not reach me, so he left. I called back and requested a return and he arrived the following morning. He stated that I needed a new compressor and it would be about $700. I told him I would call the realtor and see if the new homeowners wanted it repaired. He said to call back if we wanted it repaired and that it could take a few days, because he would probably have to order the part. I was charged the standard $89 fee for diagnosis. I called back the service center an hour later and said they wanted the item repaired and they said they would have to order the part and it could take up to a week or two if they had to get the part directly from LG. She could not give me a date and frankly was short and unfriendly in every conversation I had with her, which was about 5 or 6. The following day I received a call that LG did not have the part, so they couldnt help me. I went online and was able to order the part directly through Sears parts online and had them express mail it so it could arrive 2 days later. I called back and asked if they could schedule the install and spoke to the service manager that basically said he didnt know what the service person told me, but he would have to talk to him and let me know by Monday morning if we would need to bring the until in so they could properly install the part and make sure it was running. He also said the cost could be much more, because they would need to make sure it was working for several days and that they could not guarantee the work since the part was coming from somewhere else. I said that was fine and as long as it was working for the new homeowner, if it were to break, we had offered a home warranty, which would cover it. So, Monday and Tuesday pass with no call back. I called today to follow up and Don, the service manager, said he isnt interested in doing the service, because he needs LG to back the part. The most frustrating thing about this is that he should have told me this last Friday. I now have new homeowners with a part and no working refrigerator when I could have called someone else at this point. Apparently, Wismans is happy to take your money to diagnose, but not willing to find a way to get your item repaired and take care of the customer any way they can. It is unfortunate, because I have used them in the past, and Mitch the service person, was friendly and has given me great service in the past. I will never use them again.

Horrible customer service. I pretty much had a deal done to spend a fairly large sum of money on some new appliances, until the kept changing what they were telling me. I had enough and just walked out. And the place stunk like smoke.
First time took fridge home didnt work was replaced no problem, years later bought another fridge took home didnt work replaced third fridge didnt work never buying there again
Needed a unique size dryer to fit in a small space and stopped into Wismans on a Sunday afternoon. The gentleman, Chris, who helped us was very helpful and went above and beyond to find something that would work.

Repair techs are incompetent at best. .customer serice is non existent. God forbid you need them for GE warranty work because your repairs will take MONTHS to be completed
