I had a great buying experience at this dealership. Its not your typical car sales pushing dealership. I worked with Moe, Kelly, and Ahmed, and they all provided excellent customer service. Kelly was very knowledgeable of every Toyota model. She genuinely listened to our needs and made suggestions accordingly. Throughout the process, she had excellent communication, and even after we made our purchase, she took the time to show us how to use all the bells and whistles of our new RAV4. I shopped around at two other dealerships before going to Darcars Toyota of Frederick, and the culture at this dealership is very customer-centric compared to other Toyota dealerships. If Toyota offers a hybrid or fully electric 4Runner in the near future, I will definitely return to this dealership.

I’ve been dealing with this Toyota dealership in Frederick Maryland since 2015 when I bought my first car and I never had any problems, until I bought a used car last year from them and I’ve had nothing but problems with it (shifter went out, ignition went out, need a new engine, need a new radiator, need new coolant hoses, heater cooler and oil cooler and they want nothing to do with it, and not to mention my exhaust manifold went out 3 times even after they fixed it each time.) and it’s like no one wanted to help me there that they pushed all their problems over onto Tate because I bought a used jeep from Toyota. You would think that they want their customers in something reliable, but they put me in some thing that I had to worry about if I was going to break down every day I drove it. I would not recommend buying a used vehicle from them, now if you go buy a brand new vehicle then you might not have any problems! The service manager Kenny was probably the most helpful and all he did was give me a call back to check up to see what was going on.

Worked with Alpha he was amazing at getting me in the right car for me. He took his time during this he didn’t feel pushy at all and showed me all the facts. Because of how comfortable he made me feel that day I ended up buying the car that night because Alpha aligned with what I was looking for. It was an amazing experience. Worked with the financing department they were wonderful. I have also had some normal services done with the car and the service department is amazing.An amazing experience that I have told my friends about and I couldn’t recommend Darcar Toyota in Frederick more.

In 2016 I purchased a 2014 Tacoma and the process was easy. In 2021 I traded in the Tacoma and purchased a 2021 Rav4 and the process was easy. Same dealership, isn’t that all the review you need. The sales team makes the process as easy as they can and their service department is top notch. I have never had a problem when dealing with Darcars, plus they sell Toyota one the most reliable vehicle manufacturer on the planet. I would recommend to any one to at least give them try.

I just purchased a mini van through Darcars and had a bad experience with the loan department. They lost 2 of my checks, failed to even acknowledge it until after that fact, and did very little to help resolve the situation. I also found that when I tried calling Toyota Financial, it was impossible to get someone on the phone. I tried contacting someone via email and am still waiting for a response on that 4 days later. My experience with the sales department was positive, however. I did not feel pressured to purchase the mini van, and the salesman even drove it to my home 40 minutes away the next day because it was not ready for purchase at the time. 5 stars for sales, 1 star for the loan department and toyota financial

I am loyal Toyota owner, but after my recent experiences with this dealership, I am thankful there are plenty of other Toyota dealerships I can take my business to in the future. I recently made an appointment to have my brakes replaced. I took the vehicle in the day of service and dropped it off and nearly 7 hours later received a call stating that my brakes needed to be replaced. Amusing, since that is what I made the appointment for to begin with. The dealership then informed me that the parts were back ordered and they didn’t have an idea when they would have them back in stock. Could take 7 days or 7 months is what I was told. At this point, being very upset that I had wasted an entire day to find out what I already knew and with no fix, I agreed to wait for the parts to come in. After waiting a month and a half and not hearing anything I call the dealership to get a status, only to find out the parts are back in stock. So I make the appointment to now have the work completed. Originally I had been quoted a total price for the parts and labor but after the work was completed I was then given a price that was more than $200 more. The service manager worked to discount the price due to my shear aggravation but the price was still more than originally quoted, with no real reason. After a little research I compared the price of the parts they charged me for against what I could purchase them for through the dealership and what I found surprised me. $66/ea rotors were being billed at $120/ea and $80 pads were $80. I bring this up because the reason I was given was that Toyota increased the price of installed parts to cover the warranty they provide. My first question is why the rotors would double in price but the pads stayed the same price. If the increase in cost was to cover the warranty, wouldn’t every part increase in price? I get warranting the work but to gouge the price like that to give me a 90 day 4000 mile warranty is highway robbery. In the end it’s sad that a dealership that I had been loyal to for 20 years lost my business forever over a couple hundred bucks. If you are going to quote something, stand behind it or don’t quote it at all!

I was a little skeptical at first because but I was offered a great price that beat out all the other dealerships in the area. I purchased a 2021 Toyota Highlander Hybrid. Joe Newman was the salesman we were fortunate to work with. We were very impressed by his impeccable professionalism and obvious determination to make our car purchase as seem less as possible. He went beyond expectations as our salesman. For example. I wasn’t sure which exterior color/ interior color combination I preferred. Of his own accord Joe found different Highlanders on the lot so I could see the different color combinations. This was helpful to me in making a decision. Once I decided, Joe went and searched to find the vehicle that met my wants. He then drove to the dealership over an hour away to pick the vehicle up and drive it back to the dealership. A door panel had discolored plastic and Joe went to his boss and they replaced the panel. (Kudos to DarCars Toyota of Frederick, Md). Joe Newman made us feel like we were his only customer and gave us VIP treatment. He is honest, professional yet personable. Ask for him to assist you in your endeavor to purchase a vehicle. You will be quite pleased with your experience, as we certainly were.

My wife and I had not bought a new car for decades, but we were fortunate to visit DARCARS Toyota of Frederick. Kelly Sheilds, from DARCARS, worked diligently to assess our needs and by the end of the day we had bought a new 2021 Camry which we thoroughly enjoy at a price that we thoroughly enjoy. Everyone at the dealership was so professional and friendly. To top it all off, Kelly was able to find a buyer for my dear old 1986 Camry. So we left with a brand new Toyota and our beloved 1986 Camry found a new home. Cant beat that!

I dropped my 4Runner off for service on Friday evening. Had an appointment on Saturday. Received a call from Justin Saturday morning saying I need back brakes. He mentions something about a brake special for around $400. I tell him I will call back after speaking to my husband. My husband calls the dealership and speaks to Justin. He asks to have back brakes put on. Justin says they will not do that without resurfacing my rotors. My husband says that isn’t necessary we just want brake pads. He was told no problem they will just ship it. Now what does that mean you ask? Funny thing is my husband is a service advisor of about 30 years so he knew it meant park the vehicle and do no work. We decide to call the dealership and ask for a manager. After speaking with Andy, we were told we can buy just brake pads. Now why did I need a manager to be able to have brake pads hung on my 4Runner? It is my vehicle and my decision what service is performed on my vehicle. Why did my service advisor husband have to get involved and tell them what his occupation is? Just why? At his dealership, in 21 years he has never sold pads and resurfacing on the rotors. You either need rotors or you don’t. It is just a way for Darcars to pad the ticket. We have multiple vehicles serviced at this location. We buy extended warranties. We will pay for necessary service. We obviously value a good service department. How about you provide good service and make us want to come back?

Recently decided that I was going to scratch an itch I’ve been having to put myself into a truck once again. Started watching their used car inventory online and once I found what I thought was the truck I’d be interested in, I reached out to both James W and Joe N who I have purchased 4 other vehicles from before. Joe sent me a walk around video of the truck which convinced me to ask the 3 hour drive to see it in person. A quick test drive on Christmas Eve and I was driving home in my new to me Tundra. Now if only I knew what detailing products they used to get this truck so so clean ;)

Dropped off our car to have it checked out from a rat that made its way into the engine compartment, insurance claim, also ask for a oil and filter change 3 times, picked up the car a week later, they never did the oil change, also noted the right low beam headlamp was out, wrong !!! it is the left side, we expected the engine compartment to be cleaned professionally, it looks like they just used a garden hose, also tried to sell us a 4 wheel alignment, we had this done several months ago, there is nothing wrong with the alignment

I have bought 4 cars from darcars. Prob. not going to buy again. I brought in my car for a recall that Service dept said would take an hour. 2 week laster i arrived and they said it will take 4 hours.they would not provide a loaner as they have in the past (what its covid guys) they said have discontinued providing loaner cars.They offered to rent me a car for $40.... (ive spent over $150,000 at Darcars.... so 2 things come to mind.1. its a recall on a $52,000 vehicle (you should give me a loaner for this reason alone).2. lifetime spend (again loaner)3. you made a mistake in your time estimate (so... loaner)4. its COVID guys no one one wants to sit in a crowded (and its crowded) waiting room. (loaner)5. btw my car has under 3k milesso im sitting on the curb outside and using this time to find a new dealership that will treat me better...and now its starting to rain

I wasnt really in the market for a new car, My 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe was just fine, I wanted to spoil myself with a new car and had been shopping various dealers in the area. Honestly, I was probably going to get another Hyundai as I didnt really know too much about Toyota products. I happened upon the Toyota Website and loved the 2021 Highlander, I immediately sent via the web my interest, and dealt with salesperson Gerick Allen. The day I scheduled a test drive I was at work and very busy, didnt know if I would be out on time for the test drive. My husband went down to DarCars and he was able to test drive the exact model I wanted (the XLE AWD). Unfortunately they almost sold the car to someone else and as the gods would have it, it had fallen through. Sorry for them.. But soo glad my husband went there when he did! That really was the only vehicle I was interested in. Cant say enough about DarCars Frederick! They made Car buying without all the hassle!! And just love my new Highlander ❤

I had to service my camry and it was quick and seamless, the service team members on the other side of the building are super helpful and are very nice. Luis helped me out and was wonderful. They do not sugar coat anything, they will tell you straight up if there is an issue and what you should do to fix it which is a good thing, you do not want to be lied to and drive on broken or missing parts, etc. Overall great experience, go see Luis on the Service Team!

My experience at this darcars dealership was extraordinary. I went there first in November 2020 to buy my son a car I got the 2021 Toyota Corolla for him. Daryl Holdsworth was our sales consultant and he was amazing at his job. He goes above and beyond to make you satisfied with the car you leave with. He made my son feel very comfortable when it came to finding the right car for him and his needs. The process of negotiating was smooth sailing. Daryl made it very easy for us and he gave us good deals. I went back to Darcars in January of this year when I totaled my car and of course I had to go back to Daryl. It was pretty late at night and it was raining but he still went above and beyond when it came to placing me in the right car. He brought out two cars for me to test drive and have a feel in. Daryl honestly is an amazing person. I got a 2020 Toyota Camry and I’m happy with it. So is my son with his car. We definitely will be going back November of this year for my daughter. I definitely recommend Daryl. If you are looking to buy a car at this dealership ask for Daryl Holdsworth, I promise you won’t regret it and your pockets will thank you 😂.

Plz Avoid working with Justin Baker and Worst of all Dan Higgins Service Manager in the Service Lane🥺I stopped in Wednesday Noonish for a quick Oil change I was Told by Service Consultant Justin Baker $65.00 for synthetic oil. Justin Baker came with a Receipt for $72.00 When inquired what the Excess $7.00 was for he said miscellaneous fees mostly use of our rags. The Manager Dan Higgins Curt an Annoyed spoke to my mom quite Crudely. I immediately left went to the new car Sale floor and spoke to General Manager Mr. James Welch, who apologized on behalf of both Justin, & Dan and continued to emphasize with me. My Experience with GM James Welch was so positive I’m now trading in my car and buying a new one from him an his team of amazing sales men. Appreciate having met James and look forward to bringing my Mom to purchase her 2021 Van.

After I was attempting to answer their questions they rudely cut me off in continued to have their own conversation so I spoke up a manager walked over and told me I was yelling and to leave.They made it very clear that the safety features in the vehicle were not part of the rental and it was not their concern for my safety even though there was a recall on my vehicle. Andy Grose Instructed me to drive a recalled vehicle to a different dealershipThey told me to drive my vehicle to a different Toyota dealership if I would like a different rental. I had the best experience today. Even though I did not walk out with a car had nothing to do with them it was my situation. I will be back once the darkness becomes lighter and Im ready to buy a new car. They did everything that they could do within their power and the customer service was exceptional. Darcars toyota of frederick offers the best dealership experience I have ever had. unlike many other car shops, they actually try to help out rather than ripping off their customers. My cars water pump broke when its 800 miles outside warranty at 60800 mile. I called toyota complaining a water pump breaks at 60K and toyota told me to talk to Darcars toyota. I talked to Justin and Dan from their service team, somehow Justin and Dan worked out a deal with Toyota behind the scene to get it replaced for free for me. I am extremely satisfied with their customer service and willingness to help. This is actually the first time I feel that a car dealership is trying to help out a customer rather than just charging their customers. I will tell all my friends about them and will be a customer for a long time for sure.

Awesome used car department!! I bought a 2016 Lexus IS 300 AWD with low miles for an amazing price! Paul, the sales manager was professional and straightforward on the phone. I drove right away from Baltimore to Frederick to see the beautiful black Lexus. It was well worth the drive!! Alpha, my salesman was the best!! We took a great test drive and the Lexus was just amazing and perfect for me! The price was too good to be true with an honest and no pressure experience. Thank you Paul and Alpha, I love my Lexus IS 300!!! My phone call to the dealership was the key factor for me to drive over an hour to see this car. Paul made it happen and Alpha sealed the deal!! I recently purchased a Tacoma from Darcars in Frederick and they were great through the whole process! I had to wait for the car to be shipped to the area and they kept me up to date as best they could and answered all my questions. I live in VA but will definately be coming back to Frederick if I need anything from Toyota. This dealership is great and very friendly! I worked with Joe Newman and he was amazing!!! We purchased our 2013 RAV4 from DARCARS Toyota Frederick and have been mostly pleased until this past year. Specifically, their Service has really gone downhill. First, my husband had a the water pump replaced because of a crack and on the very next service they tried to replace again it again because it was cracked. Of course the part was placed without recharging us. The following service we had the brakes replaced. We were told all of the brakes were being replaced. The following service, today 7/25/2020, we had back brakes replaced because apparently they only replaced the front brakes. In addition, we received a phone call at 8:22 am telling us the services we would need ($1300) which I said was not practical at this time. Adjusted the services and cost to ($650) then called me back at 11:02am to tell me that we needed additional services which would make the cost ($1100) which I already mentioned was not viable. This was extremely inappropriate and unacceptable especially during this economic times. In short there is a lack of communication between the technicians, service center and customers that My husband and I are extremely dissatisfied.

Very poor service with poor knowledge! I am not sure how this is a Toyota authorized service center. Last week, I had a regular oil-change appointment along with the issue that was noticed from the previous service at the same location. After my earlier service, I noticed that my screen suddenly goes blank while driving and the screen shows system not installed on clicking the apps. They charged me diagnostic fees and simply said that there is a malfunction and you need to replace the whole unit. They did not address why it started appearing after previous service. Based on my search on similar issue, I dont think they have properly diagnosed the issue and the reason behind it. They were not ready to acknowledge that this happened from the last service rather they just said this was common issue with Toyota. The part which is not clear to me is that why they dont fix it, why cant Toyota do something about it. Highly dissatisfied with the service and explanation and charging ample amount of diagnosis fees!

As a small business I need a truck with the ability to move items, For 4 months now I have been forced to use a rav 4 which has been detrimental to my business darcars does not seem to care even though my small business might close from not having a truck.According to the website my part was released at the beginning of this month but they refuse to request the part on my behalf to get my truck fixed from the recall and I dont know why.

I recently went along with my daughter as she purchased her first vehicle. After wasting 3 hours at another dealer without getting a deal or the truck she wanted we went to Darcars in Frederick. Less than two hours later she had a deal and the truck she wanted was on its way. Joe Newman was a great associate. No lies, no BS, no double talk, explained things in a way we understood and worked to get her the price she wanted on her trade in and new truck. A week later she picked up her truck, signed the papers and was on her way. The whole experience could not have been any better. In Frederick Toyota darcars 5293 Buckeystown Pike, Frederick, MD 21704 they are scammers, they did not give me a discount that gives darcars saving for buying a new 2021 car, they simply pocketed the $ 3,000 that I gave them as a down payment and they did not give me the 3,000 that gives darcars saving I bought the truck on Tuesday and I started to check other darcars and it appears that they are giving 3,000 of darcars saving, 1,000 of cash bonuses and 1,000 of extra discount, and it turns out that they only gave me 2,000 of the discount and I go today so that they can solve the discount and they leave me with that they can not reduce those 3,000 dollars because according to them the sale was made only about 🤬🤬🤬🤬 I do not say what I think because in reality. Think about it if you want to buy in that place, dont let them rip you off in your own face like they did with me.

Ive bought many cars and honestly hate the process - its usually stressful and time consuming. DARCARS Frederick was anything but. My salesperson (Sean) wasnt pushy and the sales manager (I believe his name was Mo) was easy to deal with, I just visited once and then we spoke over the phone about the car until we found a deal that we could agree on. On the date of purchase, Sean even helped me drive my new Tacoma to get dropped off - about 30 minutes away. Very happy with my new Tacoma and the overall experience with this dealership.

They prey on all ages of customers and even when speaking up of correct ways, they refuse and just force their ways or policy/they call it, and will not give proper and correct service in their selling department and service department. I was making effort to purchase a Toyota Venza 2021 year and the finance department customer service female was not helping and just forcing a application that puts my husband as the applicant when he should just be the co-applicant with the income as my husband that they would receive the amount of our payment, but she kept insisting that he be the applicant because he has the income, but he is my husband/family and I am an adult wife that society knows that not all spouses work and that is reason for the non-working spouse to have their working spouse as the co-applicant with the signing of his signature of co-applicant. My husband knows that and agrees but the female finance customer service kept insisting that way and me and my husband could not purchase my new vehicle even when I am a United State of American citizen who have been purchasing Toyota vehicles since young age with my family. We are all same community of people to help and serve each other but was treated with their own ways and just outward/surface friendly ness. That is not a luxury vehicle and just wanted to purchase a new vehicle with updated features and trade in my older 2010 year Toyota Sienna minivan. We were and are just treated as if business only and not helping and serving own people, and same with their service department to my young adult 19 years old son who goes regular for oil change and maintenance as we should all for safety of ourselves and others when driving. They have been taking amount of money that is higher than the usual and a regular Toyota customer special for just an oil change twice. And it is like this for us at every Toyota dealer service locations and any vehicle service building/company. People are just taking from people like us who they can bully and exhaust and make bankrupt by taking exhorbitant amounts for services that should not in own country.

Service team is careless and sloppy. They left multiple large scratches on the upgraded paint job of my fiancés brand new 2020 Tacoma truck while doing what they said was a simple job of putting on a bed extender. The liner of the bed also has quite a few large scratches that were not there previously. Beyond disappointed.

Tyler, in used car sales was great to work with. I bought a 2016 Honda Accord and drove off the lot a satisfied customer. Although, after two weeks I noticed an annoying sound coming from the tires and a slight pull to the left. Contacted Tyler and he indicated that it passed inspection, but he would see what they could do. The tires had 60% tread left on them, but they agreed to split the cost of four new tires. Happy to report the new tires corrected all the issues. Thanks for working with me to get this fixed!!

Great selection of used and new. I purchased new. My sales person Diego was excellent. No hard selling. Great pricing. Sales to finance were very upfront and transparent. I didnt find anything shady here. New car was ready next day. It was clean and full of gas. Detail crew did an excellent job. Diego was knowledgeable about the car at point of sale then showed us how to use all the technology when we picked it up. He is excellent!!!

This Toyota location is a good location. I like how they have everything laid out. The lobby is very clean and all the staff are very friendly. They made it easy for me to understand how they function of the car dealership. I feel like every time I go to a different Toyota dealership all of them are laid out differently. The only problem I did have was the person that drove my car to and from the shop to get it inspected they left the seat down really low and it took me forever to fix and adjust my seat. I wish they didnt adjust my seat for the short ride

I was misled in many different ways. I would not purchase from them again unless they change their ways and stop the unethical business practices just to make a sale. When I brought a financing issue/extended warranty issue to their attention, there wasnt any accountability and nothing suggested to fix the issue. I strongly suggest that you go elsewhere for your Toyota buying needs! I feel as though the excitement of my new vehicle was tainted because of this experience.

Im not crazy about the new set up for the service department. I liked it better the way it was before the renovation. I waited a long time today for my vehicle, 3 hours with my 4.5 year old daughter. To be fair I bought a service I wasnt expecting to need this trip: TIRES. I was surprised that their prices were competitive and they gave me a reasonable discount on my alignment since I asked if they could match a competitors. However, the customer service representative assigned to me did not do his best work today. I overhead another service employee say a lot of staff were out sick, so maybe that was his problem today? I dont know but he disappeared when it was time for me to check out and in my opinion thats dropping the ball. He called me on my cell phone to let me know the vehicle was ready and that he was going over payment with his manager. I had the invoice sent to my husband so he could put the charge on a card that he had since I didnt have it on me. I stood around waiting at least 15-20 minutes more after I was called and told my vehicle was ready with no customer service representative insight. I finally asked someone where my customer service person was and she responded with good question, I dont know. Thankfully she took initiative to help me but then had to take care of someone she was already helping. After a few more minutes of standing around and looking stupid. I asked a cashier if her manager was available. She too stepped up and took initiative to help me but only after I asked. Not everyone likes to complain or demand service. I never did see the guy I started my service with again. Definitely the worst service Ive ever received here and Ive been a regular customer since we bought our vehicle here in 2015.

After 6 months of car shopping and visiting more than 10 dealerships in the area, I bought from DARCARS and am still happy with the choice I made. They had exactly the car I wanted and was able to work with my budget to meet all of my needs. Extremely disappointed. I had brought my car in for an oil change and tune up. I end up paying $2300 and it was kept over night because there were other issues they found. (I have had my car serviced on a regular basis, never had any issues) My engine light comes on the next day. Had to take it back, nothing wrong. Get it home, the car stalled 3 times, engine wouldnt turn over at one point. Now I have to take the car back for a third time. This happened in less than a week. Not to mention my mom purchased a new/used vehicle with the same dealership and her engine light is on. Emergency brake doesnt work. She was told it was a sensor issue. Why would the car be on the lot if there were any issues?

I scheduled an appointment for an oil change days in advanced. When I showed up, they did not have my appointment on file. After arguing with them and showing them the confirmation, they said they could try to fit it in, but that it would take 2.5+ hours before the car would be ready. I had marked on the appointment that I would wait for the car since I had no way to drop it off and leave. Obviously waiting almost 3 hours for an oil change (especially when I made an appointment) would not be ideal. He was extremely rude when I expressed my concerns. Additionally, the cost for the oil change was INSANE and overpriced. I am use to paying a lot for oil changes, but this was ridiculous. Sad that I will be unable to get my car serviced at a Toyota dealership.
