I’ve went here about a month ago and forgot to write my review. I think it was Christina that helped me, she made my overall glasses experience very pleasant. She checked to see if I had insurance, despite me forgetting my insurance name. I got a free eye exam that same day through my insurance. Christina is very knowledgeable about making glass selection, even though I wanted my own. She has other glasses available that was not in display as well. She made very valid points on the type of frameless or frame glass I should get because now, my glasses are getting thicker. I’m very glad I listened to her. I came back the next day to get them adjusted and she made me feel as though I’m the only one there, despite other customers waiting. The glasses she suggested fit very well, and these glasses and lenses are probably the best I ever had. I will come back here to make future purchases and would recommend my friends to go see Christina.

Called to make the appt and asked if they took the insurance. They asked me the specific eye plan, had me hold while they checked & said they did.On the day of the appt, I checked in, handed her my insurance card & she told me they didn’t accept my insurance. Wow. I can only hope their science of optometry is better than their science of appt scheduling. I took off work for this.I think this place used to be called Gilligans EyeLand. Next time, I’ll crash my proverbial ship somewhere more appreciative of other ppl’s time.
I really like this place from in front to the back. Doctor did great job . And I ordered contact and it’s got ready very fast . I definitely recommend this place for who needs eye Exam and contact or glasses.
I have been going to four eyes for at least 15 years, however I have noticed that during the last 9 months to a year they have really gone down hill. the customer service is lacking in both Dr. Gilligans area as well as the associates who help you with the glasses. They are not very helpful, and do not go out of their way to help with any issues. I have taken my business elsewhere.
The Dr did a great job with his exam. The exam itself was delayed because one of the techs was a no show that day, and he was also doing the work of the tech.Getting replacement lenses was a poor experience. My old lenses were scratched, and I only have one pair of lenses. I am new to wearing glasses, this is still my first pair. But understood that a lower cost option was to just replace the lenses, which I requested. Still after insurance, I paid $330 dollars just for new lenses.That was 11/5. It would take about 2 weeks, but usually faster. 15 days later I called and asked where my lenses were, and found out that the lab still had the lenses, thinking that they were waiting on my frames. The clerk told me that she would put a rush on getting the lenses to me.On the 22nd I called and was told the lenses were there. But they did not fit the frames! The clerk did not say what happened but promised to fix the issue. Stating It would take about 2 weeks but they will rush it. I called two weeks later, and was told they were there, (he said he was holding them in is hand as he spoke). Note I did not receive a call stating the new lenses were there. I drove down only to find out the lenses were the same mistaken lenses from 2 weeks prior! They had no record of trying to order in the corrected lenses. I asked them to call me and let me know when I could expect the corrected lenses. No call. I called back 8 days later, and was told that my replacement lenses were being tested, and that they would put a rush on getting them to me. 3 days later, I received a call saying my lenses were ready. This time they were correct, and fit perfectly. The tech put the lenses in and acted as if no issues had ever occurred with the now over 7 weeks it took to get my lenses.During the whole process, no one explained the error or apologized.I think in the future, I will use the Doctor and then get the prescription filled somewhere else.
BEST. BEST. BEST. Do not go anywhere else. I have been going here for at least 10 years and will never go elsewhere. Great service. Dr Gilligan cares, takes time and explains. The staff is friendly, courteous and extremely accommodating.
Appointment began promptly; all staff addressed my young son with kindness and ensured we didn’t have lingering questions. Found stylish children’s frames and applied insurance without issue. Highly recommend.

This is a nice quaint office with a good family-like atmosphere. I really like Dr. Gilligan and will continue coming to his office. The eye checkups are super fun and easy. Ive also bought a few pairs of glasses from the glasses store in the office and its very convenient.
I have used Dr. Gilligan and For Eyes in Frederick on two separate occasions for glasses. Dr. Gilligan is professional, competent, and easy to communicate with. However my experience with his staff in this recent purchase has been terrible. As soon as my two pair of glasses came in, I noticed that the bifocal line on my reading glasses was completely at the wrong angle. Like at a 45 degree angle. No problem, they were going to be sent back to be done properly. But my distance glasses were also wrong. The right lens was obviously unclear. I asked the tech to check and be sure they had been made to the correct prescription, and he assured me they had been. He said the doctor required me to use them for at least ten days before coming back for a recheck. So I waited. I felt dizzy a lot and had headaches. I took off work and went back to see Dr. Gilligan. Imagine my shock to hear that, in fact, my glasses had NOT been made to the correct prescription. I never even saw Dr. Gilligan. I wasted an afternoon off for a mistake which could have been easily corrected in my previous visit. On top of this, there was no apology, not even a rueful sigh. I wasnt even offered a glasses case for the reading glasses I was picking up. Dr. Gilligan needs better support staff, but I wont be there to see it.
Go somewhere else for your vision needs! Ive been a ForEyes customer for over 12 years, but Ill be taking my business elsewhere. The number of mistakes they made with my glasses and my daughters glasses recently was absolutely ridiculous! In the end, I didnt get what I ordered and I made several more trips to the store than I should have. Quality of service has really changed at this store. I wont be going back.
The dr is amazing will come back for him the had nothing but problems when me or my family get the glasses it takes them 5 attempts to get it right with each attempt taking 2 weeks so I dont think I need to tell you the math on how long that is I dont even think they look at them when they come in because the stuff that is wrong would have been easily seen if they just looked if they dont get it right in the first try be ready for a fun ride back and forth with no discounts for you trouble
I had my eye exam at somewhere on Guilford Drive and had a very horrible experience. Did extensive research and chose to see Dr. Gulligan and boy oh boy what a great decision i made. Very professional and spot on. Couldnt have made a better decision. I am so happy. On the glasses side, what a great team. Josh is the man. He will literally make sure you are happy and completely satisfied. I am so happy to have dealt with him. I am not surprised he is the manager. He knows what he is doing. All the other staff are very helpful. The moment you walk in, everyone jumps in to help. I am very happy with this location.
On time as usual and excellent service again by Dr. Gilligan and the eye technician. Major improvements with the level of service provided by the sales team.

Worst pair of glasses ever. Couldnt even read thru these progressives without lifting my head in an unnatural position.
Excellent service. One of the workers, Kendra, takes her time to help the customers. Does everything to meet the needs of the customers. And solves any issue you might have with your insurance coverage.
So I needed some new glasses, and this place is the way to go. My face is too small for adult glasses, but too...adult for teen glasses? Sean took the time to find the best fit for me that screams I am a young professional, and 26, not 16 if you go here, request him, cause he is such as charmer!!!
My past experience at four eyes Frederick was horrible. I had to buy a new pair of glasses because my old glasses were wore out, and i had to buy my new pair with four eyes because my current Eye Doctor did not except our former insurance. So i went ahead and bought a new pair of glasses with four eyes, this was a few years ago. so when i went to get my glasses adjusted at my current eye doctor i noticed some discoloration around the outside of the lenses, so i told the assistant, who knew exactly what the problem was, but unfortunately since my current pair of glasses was bought at four eyes they told me i had to go to them to get the problem corrected, so when i got there the staff member who helped me told me that there was nothing wrong with my glasses except for normal ware and tear, even though i told them there was a defect, they still were assuring me that there was nothing wrong, and that it was time to get a new pair. This staff member said. explain all of this to us in a very forceful and angry voice. So we left. This defect that occurred had happened before, so we went to my current eye doctor to see if the problem could be fix, which i could and would cost nothing because of the manufacture warranty. Now i currently go to Longmedow Optical, where i have been going for 18 years and the staff is excellent, the staff member who help me went ahead and took the extra step to ensure that the problem would be corrected at no cost which the problem indeed cost noting which i was extremely greatful for there help. So now since we have new eye insurance which Longmedow expects we will indeed go back to them to get a new pair of glasses were the staff is very friendly and always willing to help and go the extra step compared to the staff at Four Eyes, in Frederick. This will most certainly be the last time i will ever go to Four Eyes Frederick.
They have messed up on my glasses twice. I really hope they come in before I need them.
