Very nice on the phone, but absolutely HORRIBLE customer service once inside the store. Completely disrespectful of their customers’ time. This is the second experience with this store, and the first experience was very similar with the long wait times.I was specifically ask to come in 20 minutes early for our appointment time by the doctor herself, just this morning, to have my son’s eye dilated, so my son come have a retina scan at our appointment time, as she was fitting us in as an office visit, between eye exams. When we got there the man at the front desk was extremely dismissive and rude, like he couldn’t be bothered, and we were told to wait. I explained what the doctor told me, but he didn’t care. He put our folder in the bin, and wouldn’t tell the doctor we were here so my son could receive the eye drops required so my son could get his retina scan by our appointment time. Knowing she was fitting is in as an office visit in between regular eye exams, I knew we would be there much longer than needed especially with how busy they were, and would be waiting a very long time, in addition to being asked to arrive 20 minutes early, during rush hour nonetheless.

I wouldnt recommend anyone to visit this particular location. I went in for contact lenses and an eye exam. I told the Dr. that the contact lenses that she wanted me to try hurt and was uncomfortable, she dismissed me. She refused for me to try different brands in order to find one that was comfortable. Her response was, this is all I have for you to try. When I went home, I noticed that the prescription she wrote down was questionable in comparison to my previous prescription from the previous year.I made another appointment for contact lenses and glasses prescription. I got a different Dr. She was actually nice and really helpful. However, again, Instead of receiving a 10 day trial supply, I got a 6 day supply with my right eye having 6 contact lenses and right eye having about 5. Really Inconvenient and frustrating.I was also dismissed, again, when I brought up concerns about the glasses prescription. She didnt offer an explanation for me to understand the prescription, she told me, she needed to see her next client.One of the ladies upfront is cold and does not have customer service skills at all. She ignored me when I came into the store. Another lady who was at the back is the one who ended up checking me in after waiting for a couple of minutes.

Lost my glasses and needed a new eye exam ASAP. I cant work without them... Their doctor had an emergency and left early on me. Totally understandable and that sucks. But then the first appointment they would offer was 7 days out. Now Im stuck scrambling to find another eye doctor for an exam at 130 pm on friday!

Brought my 8 year old in for her first exam. Dr. Arthur was outstanding. She was so kid friendly and took her time with her. Made us feel comfortable the entire time. Nicole at the front desk helped us pick glasses to fit her and was so pleasant to work with. Highly satisfied especially during a pandemic when things aren’t always easy and there is extra work for people in the medical fields.

NICOLE IS A SUPERHERO!!!Ive been coming to this location for the last 6 years and leave with a smile every time!Today I showed up with my favorite pair that sadly got ran over by a chair. I wouldnt dare try to fix them because I know they would have snapped. Well...I walk in and see NICOLE - my favorite employee and showed her the wreck of my glasses. With the same caring, warm and professional way she always greets me she performed her miracles🤓🤗😎. I walked out of there with my favorite glasses looking absolutely perfect!!I hope Visionworks know the Gem they have in Nicole. These days Its hard to find great employees and I just wanted to make sure she was recognized for being the special lady she is!

Brian is new since I have been there last. Very rude. I have had much better luck with the lady who works there. Mellissa I think is her name. I also can’t stand the automated phone system when you call. I want to deal with real people. Will find a new eye doctor.

This Visionworks has a great staff/team, the office is clean and organized. They are all profesional, friendly and busy helping each client one at a time. I recently moved to the New Market area and my experience at this location was great! I wish I could say that about other locations Ive attended. Good job guys. You will be seeing me and my family for years to come.

These folks are amazing! I read the reviews before I went. Made two appts for my children, one with anxiety and autism. The staff was wonderful and gentle with my kids. Jenny was great with getting the initial information. Dr Arthur was so positive, gentle and kind and Rick the store manager was clear and efficient at getting us what we needed and on our way. What a lovely experience! Highly recommend this group of dedicated employees.

I absolutely love this place! The woman who works up front (Nicole?) was super friendly and knowledgeable. She helped me pick out the right size frames and sunglasses. I never knew that glasses are measured by essentially the width of your face. I always would pick up a pair, put them on, and be on my merryway. Ever since then, I have received so many compliments. Im very self-conscious so that definitely makes me feel better. The lady doctor was also super friendly and patient. She took her time to answer any questions I had. Not to mention, the entire staff was accommodating with me as my 2-month-old baby was fussy the entire visit; I even got to hold him during the vision exam!I cant forget to mention, they have super affordable frame options also!!

I had a wonderful experience at this location. Jenny went above and beyond to give my husband and I amazing customer service, she was very patient with me and answered any question that I had. She made it a very easy, comfortable experience! I definitely recommend this location!

Had used vision works for years. Ever since I started wearing glasses. Tried to get to an appointment today and was stuck in traffic and was 10 mins late. Wouldnt take me said I had to reschedule the apt I waited 2 weeks for. Terrible rude customer service will not be coming back.

I had came into Visionworks today to gather information for my soon to be glasses. It was a little busy when coming in, but an employee by the name Nathan S. was super friendly and helpful. I could tell he genuinely enjoys his job as well as working with people. He had made my experience at Visionworks delightful! He def deserves a raise or a higher position.

This vision center is amazing. Staff is very customer care oriented. Sean the associate is very patient and helpful. Really put the work into helping me find my perfect frames. Dr Arthur is knowledgeable and explained everything clearly so I understood well my vision exam. I did not feel rushed. I felt very welcomed. Worth the drive to get here!

Nicole, thank you so much for finding my frames which I’ve been looking for on and off for 10 years. My size is really hard to find61-18-135. When I arrived Nicole greeted me and I told her what I needed and within a few minutes she had found multiple frames that fit my face. I couldn’t believe it. Nicole is very friendly and really knows how to do her job. I made an appointment to get my eyes checked and bought two frames with a complete eye exam. I LOVE this place. Everybody is so friendly in fact I am taking my mother to the same location to get her eyes checked and buy new frames.I am going to recommend you to everyone I know.Tony

Dr Arthur was so patient, caring, assertive, and attentive. After wearing glasses for some 40 years, I decided to try contacts. They explained everything so thoroughly step by step, worked diligently with me to assure I made the best choice available to me. I truly couldnt have asked for more caring people, returned calls were made promptly. I will not be going anywhere BUT Visionworks (Frederick,Md)

I came here for my eye exam and purchased glasses here as well. I promptly checked in and the front desk staff were very kind and patient. The optometrist was super nice and thoroughly answered any of my questions. They had a good selection of frames and I received a text when they were ready for pick up a couple of days later. I decided to bring my daughter in as well as she was due for her eye exam. The staff there were consistently kind and helped her along the check in process ( she is 9). The optometrist once again was super nice and I would highly recommend her for children as she was the nicest optometrist we’ve ever been to. My daughter picked out her frames and they are going to explain how to use her first pair of bifocals when they come in. We will definitely be coming back next year. Thank you Vision Works!

Sean was exactly the customer assistant that everyone needs. He was attentive and listened and made suggestions when hearing I worked in IT (blue screen). He made sure to discuss promotions that I was not aware of and helped me save hundreds. He definitely made the experience easier and I will be sure to continue to use this location for all me and my familys vision needs.

Dr. Ruby Arthur is tge best. I continue to come to her for my annual eye exams. She took care of me last year and healed my infected eyes. And again today I got a good result from my exam. I highly recommend Dr. Arthur!!

Good people, competent and caring professionals. They worked with me when I said that I didnt have much money to spend, and they answered all my questions (some multiple times). The focus is clearly on the patients well being and not on the bottom line. Although thats probably the very reason they are still in business.

Great experience with all the doctors-- I never feel rushed. All my questions and concerns are addressed thoroughly. Past exams at other places felt like a evolving door--in and out quick! I Alexis the time they take with their patients here.

I feel so comfortable when I get my eyes checked every year. Dr. Ruby is so attentive and answers every question with care and knowledge from her own experience also. She knows everything under the sun when it comes to healthy eyes and what might be the reason ones vision might be degenerating. This place is awesome! I could move miles away and still comme here! Excellent Staff, customer service, atmosphere as well as Doctor/Physician. There were TONS of eye ware that i wanted to purchase 😀 the Associates were very helpful with keeping me within my budget 😀 and i was VERY pleased with help and suggestions...This is a 5***** establishments.

Felt lied to from the moment I made my appointments. Specifically told the gentleman I needed two appointments and that my son would be a new contact lens wearer. He scheduled me two appointments on Sunday and told me my son would have to take a class but it could be done that day. Go in everything is semi okay. My son goes back first then me. While walking out with the doctor I’m then informed they don’t do the class on Sundays. Excuse me?! That was the whole reason I scheduled. Then another Asian gentleman called my son, who clearly looks male, for the the third time my daughter. Another employee Nathan, noticing I was definitely frustrated with it by that point takes over. But it quickly goes down hill with him too, he tells me sons bill is over $100 mind you I have insurance and we didn’t get anything besides the exam. Then tells me mine is $80 oh but they can’t be ran under the same transaction. By that point I was beyond mad because someone should have told me before even walking in the back what the cost was going be (I have worked in a medical field for 15 years and patient is always made aware first unless it was in the ER or a deductible payment) especially since I specifically told them what I needed and by the way I read my benefits the fitting, materials and such are all part of my allowance! What if I wouldn’t of had the money because honestly I didn’t. If it wasn’t for very few local places taking my insurance I would never have walked back in that place and they honestly would never know or care as the guy kept trying to tell me it was our first time there.... no this was our unfortunate third year coming and honestly every year it gets worse!! Best part now is I looked at my receipts and both say $80 yet I was charged over $100 for my son. So now I’ve filed a grievance with my insurance company and will next be filing one with my bank!!!

Was my first time here when I needed a new prescription, and they had exactly what I wanted! They were all very nice ladies and the test was a total breeze. Got the right frames as well. Best place ever!

Great, friendly customer service. They dont try to upscale their sale. They guide you to the options that are best for you. They even talked me out of the more expensive options. Other stores encouraged the more expensive options even if it was not in my best interest.

I drive up from Germantown to this location because of the excellent and professional staff. Barry is amazing!

I would have to say that my second experience at this business was far better than last. My girlfriend was able to pick out a reasonably priced pair of glasses. The manager was calm, knowledgeable and even took the time to break down charges for two lenses. To be fair their eye exam machine broke down indefinitely and I had to reschedule.I experienced pretty awful customer service at this business. I was nearly forced to pay 150$in up charges. The representative working with me did not know how to even charge the standard options in lenses. Their quality tier is arbitrary and isnt written down nor can it be explained by reps working there. The staff seem aloof and cranky when I finally convinced him to remove add ons I did not want. I only wanted anti glare. I spent two hours just trying to get a side by side comparison of pricing. And in the end, I still do not know the difference in optic packages. With insurance my glasses cost 45$...it took two hours to achieve that base price. If I want the add ons I will purchase them.Bottom line do your research and don’t overpay for things you don’t understand especially if the difference in lense quality is unnoticeable.

I had an eye infection when I went in. I did not have any eye glasses and only wore contacts, but to treat the infection I could not wear the contacts. The team here rushed my glasses order and got them to me that day. Their customer service is amazing. I am very grateful for their help. It is a little expensive but its because their ligit

Had a 39$ coupon for eye exam. Supplied one of the two frames and the woman gave me a bill of 833.95$ . First and last time. By the way the 179$glasses and sunglasses they sell are on amazon for 55$

Walked in one day looking to book and appt for an exam. The place was not busy at all! Maybe 3 other customers in the store. No employees around. After looking at frames for over 15 mins someone finally greeted me! The lady seemed to have an attitude for some reason. After making an appointment. ONLY BECAUSE I KNOW THE DR THAT PERFORMS THE EXAM IS NICE. I left and thought about how i was not greeted and then when i was with an attitude, I called the next day and cnacelled. I will never go back there! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
