This store will not give you a receipt for your package. They say if you want a receipt you have to take it to the regular UPS drop off which offers only limited hours of operations. While I understand they are trying to cut costs, they should take one look at the customer feedback on this site and realize it would be a smart business decision to offer customers the extra security of a receipt. No one wants to drop off a package with expensive contents and have no evidence to show for it in case something goes wrong. What if the package goes missing and UPS claims they never received it? Without a receipt what recourse would the customer have? Ive mailed thousands of packages via UPS stores across the country over the past decade and this is the first one that refused to give me a receipt.

Customer service was fine, but it was the obscene $2 charge to put a couple pieces of tape on one side of my 12x12x16 box. Or you can buy a roll for $3. (Great marketing ploy, you jerks). Tape your box(es) before dropping off. YOUVE BEEN WARNED!! I wont be coming back here.

This is my go to UPS store. I infrequently have to wait in line for service, the customer service is always excellent and the hours are great. Mike has helped with several special packages that needed to be packaged with care, I have always had all those packages received in the best condition. I have taken everything from Amazon returns to needing packaging of breakable items to this store and never had any issues.

Had a very crazy, disconnected experience at this store. The first clerk was very helpful and did a wonderful job packaging electronics for shipping. She was courteous, kind and thorough. The second clerk, Michael, was not. I requested 100 loose pages to be bound. Michael proclaimed loudly that he had not used the machine for some time. I handed him the paper with collated sections for ease of paper hole punching. He immediately aligned all the pages then began attempting to get the paper holes punched. But appeared to have issues as he misaligned the first stack and placed the holes improperly. He then asked me if I had the files on my phone or via a usb drive. I did have the files on my phone and was able to email the files but Michel misaligned the first 19 pages which was the first two sections of the papers. He offered to reprint for free but he printed these pages one sided while the rest were double sided. He then asked if I could pick up the completed binding in a day or two indicating there was a line of people waiting. I was open to picking up the bound papers at a later time but after seeing that the papers were askew, I was not going to pay for a binding with pages either wrongly ordered or badly printed. I took my papers, paid for the packing the first clerk completed. Later when sorting my papers, Michael not only reprinted the files one sided but had left out and misplaced a number of other pages resulting in reprinting of specific pages. This would have resulted in pages missing and some misplaced. Overall, the packing of my electronics was above par but the print job to bind papers was atrocious. I will not use this store for printing related jobs only packaging in the future.

I just returned an Amazon product to this store, and was waiting for my receipt. I was told I did not need one, and had not needed one for over several years. I told them that since we have just moved to Maryland, this must specific to the state because in NC, I ALWAYS got a receipt.Not happy about this no-proof return (I was told that Amazon does NOT allow a receipt to be printed as they want to keep the addresses confidential - did not make sense to me), I asked to take a photo of the address label on top of my product. Glad I did, as I went searching for information on this particular store, and lo och behold, tons of complaints about no receipt. So, beware and be prepared to take your own proof. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this store. Otherwise, the staff was polite and efficient.

Do NOT go this UPS Store! If I can give 0 star. I would. I had to return multiple items to Amazon from my gift registry because these are duplicate gifts, and some of our returns, we were provided an option from Amazon for a “packageLess UPS Drop off returns” (where we do not have to box the items and UPS store will pack the items for us as part of their contract with Amazon). Unfortunately, I had 9 items that I needed to return to Amazon and we dropped it off at this UPS store in Frederick (Buckeystown) and 6 out of 9 were packageLess returns. Per Amazon, some items that they received from this UPS store were packed with the different labels or items on them. *** In short, they mixed the items with different labels on them and put them on different boxes. *** Another bad encounter I had... where I dropped off the returns to this UPS store Frederick and Amazon claimed they never received the items from this UPS store. We kept asking the UPS cashier to give us somewhat a return confirmation receipts to confirm that we dropped off the items to them. But they (UPS Frederick) insisted they do Not provide return confirmation receipts or any drop off receipts at all. I had a gut feeling something will go wrong. Sure enough, they did not receive the item that we dropped off. We were super upset. Per Amazon managers, the only thing they can track it... is when we have a return confirmation receipts from UPS, so they can trace the item and file an investigation. But since, this UPS Store in Frederick (in Buckeystown pike) do not provide return receipts. They just get our item and never actually return it to Amazon. Some of the items that we dropped off to this UPS Frederick were not credited back by Amazon and Amazon are claiming i have to file a claim with this UPS store. Per UPS store in Frederick, I spoke with the manager named “Mike”, he was extremely rude and arrogant on the phone, saying they are not responsible for that and they will continue not to provide any confirmation return receipts at all. He did not care about the concerns of their customers if the packages were lost or stolen or mislabeled during “packageLess” drop offs. This is by far the WORST experience I’ve had with this UPS store in Frederick. Please do NOT go to this UPS store in Frederick (Buckeystown location).... if you don’t want to have any problems or hassles in the future. I contacted other UPS Stores locations and they said, they are providing return confirmation receipts for proof of drop offs.

I recently moved to Frederick and was in need of a private mailbox for personal & small business use. The staff members who I first interacted with were very professional, friendly, and efficient...signing up for my mailbox took just a few minutes...and since then I continue to be pleased with the handling of my incoming mail & packages. I get e-mail notifications from the store within minutes of a package being delivered for me, pick-up is always a breeze, and I appreciate that I have 24-hour access to the store to pick up my paper mail as needed. Ive also been pleasantly surprised with the other business services offered by this location, like shipping & paper shredding. I would enthusiastically recommend Mike, his team, and this UPS Store location to anyone in the Frederick area in need of shipping, mailbox, and small business services!

They are rude here or is it just me? The heavy set guy doesnt allow you to finish speaking when hes already saying you dont need a receipt. He always does this! He said its all electronic. Look for it there. Rude! Its not his items being sent thats why he doesnt care.

The service at this UPS location did not disappoint, and it is one of the best UPS stores in my opinion. Mike and Cameron went above and beyond when I had some large format photos that needed printed last minute. I called every Staples and UPS in the area, and they were the only ones willing to take on the job. They stayed open late because the photos were still printing and they knew I needed them ready by the following morning. I highly recommend this location. They’re fast, professional, their work is fantastic, but most of all, they know how to treat their customers!

This store deserves five stars. I brought in a brochure to print, and Mike took ownership of it by ensuring that the margins were correct, type did not end up in the fold, etc. He is amazing. The two young men with him have professional ethics of hard work and customer service. And everyone who walks in is treated the same. Wow.

I usually come to this location because I will get my papers notarized on the spot with no issues . Today I walked in to find out that “since 2014 the only way to get your paperwork notarized is by appointment “ Sir I was just here back in January and March of 2019 with out a appointment and got all my court documents signed . This was useless and a waste of time because we called ahead of time and was never told we needed a appointment. It was not busy there was no rush . You could have just notarized your customers papers, this is way you guys are open because of the clients . Annoyed !!! The guys at the cashier are always pleasant no hard feelings with them.

I love this UPS Store. Every time I come in the employees are always so helpful! Especially, Mike, I had a little trouble printing a document this morning, and he took the time to help me get it printed. He didn’t mind helping me. I truly appreciate their customer service. It’s always a pleasant experience when I come into this store. It is the reason I got a mailbox for my business and kept it. In a time when many company’s customer service is lacking, its nice to go into establishment where it seems like the customer’s needs are important. Thank you for the wonderful experience! I’m a happy customer!

My first interaction here, Mike and me argued over tape. After coming here for years, gotten to know the team and Miguel and Mike are of the nicest guys I know. Tape your boxes before coming to the store. It costs stores money and people abuse it, some locations even at FedEx require you to pay for tape. It’s two bucks for a roll that lasts you. They are even willing to tape it for a small fee for you of the actual costs of a roll of tape. Better than the the airy store and they are always direct when you ask questions.

My wife went here with our two children to use the notary service. The staff told her they couldnt take walk ins. After some prompting, they told her to make an appointment and return in 3 hours. There were no customers on site, and the notary himself was doing nothing. Poor service.Edit: We appreciate the courtesy of the owners response. We would also hope that the same tone of courtesy and helpfulness found in his answer could be applied to daily interactions.

Easily the best UPS store in frederick. Mailing letters, packages or last minute runs for notarizations, Mike and Miguel have always provided exceptional services. I dropped off 2 packages that were being returned to Amazon. I asked for a receipt and was told by a heavy set white guy that they dont give them out anymore. Of course 1 of the packages never made it to Amazon and Im out money now. Extremely disappointed.

This location is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!! I seem to always come across unprofessional, nasty people in customer service capacities... so, having come across a store that exceeded my expectation is a win for me. This store’s customer service is professional and friendly. I’ve had a few projects done at this location and they turned out great. I had no idea UPS did office and stationary things. I had a poster and an entryway board for a party done (the poster was last minute)... It turned out so awesome! I can’t stress enough how convenient and overly satisfied I am with this store! Mike gets it done!!!

Not sure about their mailing and printing service, but went here for notary work and was absolutely disappointed. The person in charge of notary did not know the correct rules and recommended to go to a court for notary instead of a bank or tag/ title place. Waste of time even after getting an appointment in advance. Went to a title place after that and work was done in 10 mins. Simple and easy. Get your facts right and please don’t misguide people with incorrect facts!

I drop off Amazon returns all the time here. The staff is friendly and courteous. One time in the parking lot, I pulled up next to the guy who either owns or manages the store and he offered to carry my packages in and save me the trip.The fact that its veteran-owned is a big plus to me. I like to support local businesss and have always had a positive experience here.

Shipping services seem not to be a problem, but customer service is hit or miss depending on who is on duty. Shop should probably remove notary service from offerings altogether. Notarizing a document takes no more time than shipping a package or printing/copying, and it carries a fee like all other services. If it’s ok for an associate to be tied up with me to ship my package, why not to notarize my document. Also, advertised hours are “until 7pm” but do not include the caveat that no notarizing is done after 5:30pm, or that appointments are required. That is odd and not the industry standard. Twice I’ve wasted time and gas trying to utilize this location. The first time I thought it was an anomaly, but obviously this is standard practice here. Rather go to a bank (usually free) or find a neighborhood CPA, etc. It’ll likely take you all of ten minutes.Edited 10/22/2018: I think the owner’s response is a prime example of the affinity for gracious customer service. It does not really address the points I raised— just restated and defended existing business practices with a personal backhanded dig re: the time of my call and failure to appear in person. To be clear, I was minutes away when I decided to phone to be sure there was a notary on sight. Once I was told there was no walk facility and no available appointment, there was no reason for me to complete the trip there. I conducted a quick google search and found a post office with a notary available until 8pm on a walk-in basis. The following day, I went with my husband his credit union to get his signature notarized on the same type of document. It took 15 minutes entry to exit. We use notary services a fair bit, but are just relatively new to Frederick and thus area businesses. Not that it couldn’t or doesn’t happen, but I would imagine hour-long notary sessions to be the exception rather than the rule, and generally take place at a bank, law office, or at home with a traveling notary. Maybe instead of assuming a one size fits all approach, store personnel should ask a couple of questions to fine tune what the customer needs. Both times, I only needed one signature notarized on a simple 2-pg. document. And for the record, I based my expectations on info gleaned from the store’s website. It seems it should be updated to reflect actual business practices. No reply necessary.

Supervisor was extremely rude. I provided delivery instructions for my package multiple times and then got told that my delivery was messed up because I refused to provide delivery instructions. Dont ship anything UPS in this area if you have any sort of address thats not immediately obvious!

Do not go here! Drive another 2 miles to the real ups location on English Muffin Way! They wont make you buy a whole roll of packing tape when you only need 12 of it! Really smug guy behind the counter! If Amazon didnt make me return through them I wouldnt have gone back!

This location is refusing to provide Drop-Off Receipts. On two recent visits, I was told by different employees that there was no reason I needed one since I have the tracking number, and that they had moved to a paperless system (despite the fact that they still print shipping labels and purchase receipts). This wouldnt be a huge deal, except that they act rude and inconvenienced if you want to wait for them to scan the packages into their system. Sorry, I just want proof that I actually dropped off the package in the event that it gets stolen or misplaced.UPDATE: Thanks for responding below, Mike. The point of the drop-off receipt is not to provide me with the tracking number, but to provide me with proof that you actually accepted the package and scanned it into the UPS system (which doesnt immediately reflect this online). Otherwise, it could be misplaced, taken off the counter by another customer, or stolen by an employee, and I would have no proof that the package had ever been brought in to your store. UPS will not honor an insurance claim if the package has never been scanned in.Your store seems to be the only one refusing to print these, despite still being able to print prepaid labels on the same paper. I dont necessarily need this to be printed, but I dont believe there is any alternate means to getting a receipt before I leave the store (As I mentioned, the UPS tracking system is not immediately updated online, and there is no way to get a text message or other form of drop-off receipt).
