Nice shop with high quality food and beverage. Wish the womens restroom had a hook for my purse; restroom was clean but was out of papertowels. Came at 9 am - seems like a cute place to work quietly or study but would have felt awkward if I came with friends and wanted to chat as it was so quiet. Lots of bar height seating and a few tables on the first floor; I didnt go upstairs. Only one employee appeared to be on staff but she was super nice and very efficient. Close to the Amtrak station which is a plus. Has a small parking lot for customers.

This has become my new favorite work spot! Stellar service, perfect coffee, long hours, and they actually have made-to-order food - which is amazing. Parking isn’t optimal for its size, so I have had to either park on the street or down the road a few times. My favorite aspect of Slap Face is the ambiance! The decor looks great and they feature amazing art. The music is always upbeat but not distracting. I’m looking forward to making it out to one of their music / comedy shows soon!TIP: Ring the Bell if you need something. The baristas are working super hard, both in the front and back, and aren’t ignoring you! (I’ve seen quite a few people irritatedly waiting and not seeing the bell by the cashier that alerts the barista that there is someone at the front)

Really great coffee shop. Craft coffees poured in a variety of ways. Love the atmosphere and that it’s quiet enough to get some work done as well. My only complaint is lack of variety. They only had two beans available, neither of which was my preferred light roast. Fortunately for me, the atmosphere more than makes up for it.

A really spacious and quiet place to get some work done! Though, it also might be a bit hard to get an outlet to charge anything because of the lack of plugs. Its a two-story café with plenty of seating! I think this place used to be an old bank because there were vaults in the back that were decorated as cute seating areas! Its really interesting to go in and really cute. They also have art all over the walls which are really aesthetic. Overall, the vibe is okay, the shop generally looks pretty empty. Its pretty hard to get parking because the parking lot is so small. You might have to park on the street and walk if you come during a rush. Id recommend coming in earlier so you can get a spot for sure! However, because of the lack of parking, Id rather got to a different spot where Id be guaranteed to have good parking if Im just going to get some work done. The coffee is really good and they also have some food items on their menu. On some nights, they have comedy nights and open mics as well. Try coming out to see some shows!

Theres a piano on the first floor - to which I was told guests are welcome to play if they feel so inclined. Really friendly owner and staff made the experience all the better. Staff and owners are very friendly and go above and beyond to please the customer. The beverages are very good and are well done. The only reserve we have about the place: the chocolate they melt for hot chocolate and mocha beverages is too sweet now. I think it changed to a sweeter chocolate some time around summer of 2017. Too sad we cannot go there anymore. Loved the place!

Really enjoy the aesthetic of this place. It was an old bank and now it’s been completely remodeled. I love the art that is all around and unique. Also I love that there is plenty of space and everyone is not piled on top of each other. Sometimes the parking is a drag. There are only a couple of spaces really in the lot. Very great quality coffee and food. Also they have ice cream which is nice for affagotto style. Yummy! Worth checking out for all there after hours events! They have salsa night and magic shows and other fun stuff that’s great for the family.

Fremont, please appreciate having a nifty, cool spacious high quality coffee house like this! The interior is so unique and intriguing, and because it used to be a bank, the architecture has a different, almost labyrinthine feel to it. Despite having once been a bank, the way it is decorated makes it feel cozy and comfortable. The selection and quality of coffee and tea is great, and the owner is super nice. There is a sign saying there is karaoke on Friday nights, and Im sad that I wont be able to stay in the Bay area and long enough to check it out. But please support this space! It is so special and should not be empty at 7:30am, which it was this morning. True that it doesnt have a large parking lot, and Fremont sure loves to drive, but theres street parking. Its totally worth a few extra steps to get here. I hope to come back someday and see it thriving!!!

Happened on this spot while in route to do some photography. Crazy... FIRST. What an awesome way to repurpose and older building. This was obviously and old bank converted to a hip and modern cafe. Interior design is perfectly rustic giving it a nice industrial vibe. Great open social space along with available private rooms for those looking for a more intimate coffee setting with a friend. SECOND: The coffee is pretty good attention to detail in presentation and taste gave me the impression staff take pride in there craft. THIRD: The mix of culture in this place is awesome. From the artsy type, to professionals to students and the average Joe. This place pulls in a pallet of colors and personalities all chilling out under one roof California Style.

The architecture and design of the place is cool. However, the ladies bathroom was out of paper napkins. Our table had a stirring stick somebody had used and left behind. The next table had coffee stains. The people behind counter looked like they had their own friends to talk to rather than customers. This has happened twice I was here. Also the doors are kept open even on cold days. Brr. The temperature of the place is also slightly colder than usual. Most ladies I know prefer warmer coffee shop and Im no exception. Things might be better during their events though. Not sure. Yet to find out.

The coffee and tea is constantly good, but what really makes the 5 stars is the staff, the people and the general atmosphere. During the day it is a good place to work on what ever you have going on. The high ceiling and old bank vaults are a cool place to hang out in. There is a conference room that is free to use, just needs to be reserved beforehand. It is great to work on something as a group or just get together and play some board games or hang out. When night rolls around the atmosphere completely changes. Being open till midnight allows for a great late night hangout. The different events they have in the evenings are always lively and fun. A good coffee shop, but an even better hang out spot!

I haven’t been here for quite sometime and thought it would be nice to take someone out for coffee here. It was by far my worst experience at a coffee shop. The place was really dirty, there were dirty dishes and cups everywhere, tables are not clean, the service was poor, our drinks were not good to say the least, I even felt the cup used for my drink was not clean.I’m really sorry to see the place/service at this shape 😔

This is a unique coffee shop. It’s a big building with lots of places to sit and use your laptop. They have private conference rooms for groups which is nice, but they also allow performances. When I was there, the performances were extremely loud and very hard to focus on studying. I would recommend this place for casual studying or working but not when you really need to get stuff done. On the other hand, I’m sure local artists appreciate this space. I didn’t try their red velvet coffee but it looked good. I got a latte and it was alright. Parking is very limited.
